A flight bound for Orlando made an emergency landing after a woman went into labor over South Carolina. Luckily, 2 doctors and a nurse were on the flight and helped the woman deliver the baby. The plane made an emergency stop in Charleston, N.C..

Is this scenario the only time you wouldn’t be irritated with a baby crying on the plane? Then again, the flight did make an extra stop so someone was late getting to somewhere. The plane arrived an hour late.

Jerry Pagan was arrested yesterday after a 68-yr-old Bronx man bled to death from getting his genitals cut off. A short investigation revealed Jerry allegedly stabbed the man then cut off his genitals. The penis was found inside a plastic glove in the sink and police say the suspect told them he planned on eating it. Police report the men had a sexual relationship and this was some kind of domestic dispute gone array.

Black People Three Times As Likely To Die During Police Chases

A new groundbreaking study conducted by USA TODAY shows that African-Americans across the country have been killed in police chases at a rate nearly three times higher than every other race.

Blacks have been killed at a disproportionate rate in pursuits every year since 1999. On average, 90 black people were killed each year in police chases, nearly double what would be expected based on their percentage of the population.

Deadly pursuits of black drivers were twice as likely to start over minor offenses or non-violent crimes. In 2013 and 2014, nearly every deadly pursuit triggered by an illegally tinted window, a seat-belt violation or the smell of marijuana involved a black driver.

Black people were more likely than whites to be chased in more crowded urban areas, during peak traffic hours and with passengers in their cars, all factors that can increase the danger to innocent bystanders. Chases of black motorists were about 70 percent more likely to wind up killing a bystander.

Police Arrested The “Let’s Get Married” Singer For Terrorizing His Family

A judge has ordered Jagged Edge’s Kyle Norman to stay away from his wife and son and attend a domestic violence prevention workshop after police said he jumped his son and tried to stab him during a drunken rampage in front of his nine-year-old daughter.

Cops arrested Norman Sept. 5 for criminal trespass, obstruction of officers, battery, family violence and cruelty to children, after Norman’s wife Merrika called 911 around 5 a.m., telling police that Norman was beating up his son, Keelan.

The son’s uncle tried to put Norman in a headlock to stop the fight, and the son ran out of the room, but Norman followed him downstairs to continue the beat down, even pulling a knife at one point, according to the police report. An enraged Norman punched holes in the wall, broke a coffee table, damaged a kitchen fan and shattered a mirror in the home during the alleged assault, according to paperwork from the fracas.

Keelan, Norman’s son, said his father spent the evening drinking and cursing out family members. Keelan said when he finally confronted his dad, the man began pummeling him. The son suffered cuts and scrapes, which he said was from the broken mirror, the police report stated.

LeBron James And Some Cavaliers Don’t Want To Stay At Trump Hotel In NYC

Tomorrow night LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers are scheduled to play the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. For their stay in NYC, the team had booked several rooms at the Trump hotel in SoHo, but LBJ and some (emphasis on “some”) of his teammates are refusing to lay their head on bigoted property according to NYDailyNews.

The team respects their players’ decision and have made other arrangements for lodging for those opposed to President-elect Twitter-fingers.

The question we have is this, if you’re one of LeBron’s teammates who doesn’t mind staying at a Trump property, how do you look? Are you telling on yourself? Most of the Cavs are African-American with the exception of Kevin Love, Mike Dunleavy and Chris “Birdman” Andersen. Obviously there could also be a Ben Carson or two on the squad as well.

Might sound petty, but if one of these guys is found to be a sneaky Trump supporter, that’s the type of thing that could seriously affect team chemistry.

White Students Sue School After Being Expelled For Racist Texts

Two white teens at Chicago’s Marist High Schoo claim they were “used as scapegoats” by school staff who expelled for being part of a racist group text conversation that angered the surrounding community reports ABC Chicago:

The white teenagers were among 32 girls included in the conversation that started after they met at a September religious retreat where they were promised that anything they said “would be strictly confidential,” according to a lawsuit filed anonymously Monday in Cook County Circuit Court by the girls’ fathers.

When Black Lives Matter protesters planned to demonstrate in the neighborhood after a black man was gunned down by an off-duty Chicago Police officer on Nov. 5, someone in the girls’ text conversation shared a tweet claiming protesters were going to bring along gang members to kill white residents in retaliation, the suit says.

The girls acknowledge in the suit that they made comments that “others believed to be racially insensitive.” Screenshots of the ensuing conversation, which the suit claims were “altered” by another participant, show one person saying “I F– HATE N–” and another agreeing.

The lawsuit states that the teens were “labeled as racists and used as scapegoats by Marist to respond to an array of social media criticisms and media pressure.” The girls are suing the school for tuition reimbursement of $65,000 each for tuition and school costs and $1 million for privacy invasion. Well damn!

Oregon Man Takes Mugshot With Pet Parrot

A 38-year-old Oregon man was allowed to flick it up with his pet parrot after being arrested by the police. Craig Buckner was busted for violating release terms in connection with multiple misdemeanor theft cases according to Smoking Gun.

The Oregon man later arrived at the courthouse with his four-year-old red parrot and placed his feathery friend in a tree before being locked up…

After Buckner was taken into custody, he told a court deputy that his companion parrot was outside in a tree. Concerned for the bird’s safety, the deputy accompanied Buckner–who was handcuffed and shackled at the waist–to retrieve the parrot (which, by then, was surrounded by crows).

Buckner posed for a series of mug shots, one of which shows the parrot perched on his left shoulder. The parrot was subsequently picked up by a friend of Buckner’s who agreed to care for the bird.

We wonder if Pookie would be allowed to take a mugshot with his pet pooch like this guy….

Nigerian Entrepreneur Rejected Job Offer From Bill Gates

23-year-old Nigerian entrepreneur Chris Kwekowe says he made the right decision when he turned down a major job offer from Bill Gates reports Newsweek. Kwekowe was featured in a televised interview with some of Africa’s best entrepreneurs but instead of asking for a job or career tips from Gates he did something more daring…

“[Gates] was really intrigued, and he smiled,” says Kwekowe, 23. “After the program, all the directors were like, ‘Dude, you mean you actually turned down a job at Microsoft and had the guts to tell Bill Gates ?”

Kwekowe had good reason to reject such a good offer: He was building a startup called Slatecube to help other young Nigerians find jobs. A January 2016 survey of 90,000 people in Nigeria found that 45 percent of graduates were unemployed. Research has found a key reason that employers often reject graduates is a lack of professional skills —critical thinking, entrepreneurship, decision-making—that Slatecube nurtures through digital internships.

Last year, Kwekowe won the coveted 2015 Anzisha Prize, a pan-African award for the nation’s leading young entrepreneurs, where he received a $25K check. Learn more about the Slatecube HERE.

Sofia Richie Covers Complex Magazine

Nicole Richie’s little sister is all grown up now and getting the same kind of media attention as friends like Kendall and Kylie Jenner and Gigi and Bella Hadid. The 18-year-old daughter of Lionel Richie is on the December/January cover of Complex Magazine (sharing those honors with Pusha T) and while she won’t discuss her relationship with Bieber or friendships with the other model daughters of famous folk she actually does open up about racism.

Hollywood prejudice, though, is a different story. She hasn’t encountered any overt racism in the fashion world in particular, but discrimination is plentiful in Los Angeles. When the topic is broached she gets flushed with anger for the first and only time.

“I’m very light, so some people don’t really know that I’m black. I’ve been in situations where people will say something kind of racist and I’ll step in and they’ll be like, ‘Oh, well, you’re light,’” she says, her eyes flashing. “That still doesn’t cut it, buddy. It’s 2016—you better get your sh** together before you get slapped out here.”

Wayment… Sofia Richie is slapping fools outchea? LOL. Do you see why Bieber was so fond of her now? Or nah?

Richie also addresses whether she has plans for a music career:

“I wanted to have a music career for a long time. Music is my life and it speaks to me—Rihanna, a lot of Frank Ocean, I love Shawn Mendes!” she says. “But I don’t want my own music career. I’m Lionel Richie’s daughter. When I do this I have to be 100 percent good, and it was too much pressure for me. I just want to have my own direction and be free with it. I don’t want anyone to have a hold on me because of my dad.”

And she responds to people who say she’s booking fashion gigs based on her last name:

“It’s not like I called and begged these designers to work with me. They felt my vibe and we were cool and that’s that. People obviously don’t respect some of the shoots I do because I’m short and this or that, but I really don’t let that stuff get to me.”

Rob Kardashian Counts His Baby Blessings

Rob Kardashian seems to be in a much more positive place since the birth of his daughter Dream last month. The sock-trepreneur posted this sweet photo of baby Dream napping with the caption “Sleep baby. Best thing that has ever happened to me in my life.” So sweet.

Right after her birth Rob called Dream an exact copy of late Kardashian patriarch, saying his father Robert sent an angel. All very sweet sentiments. But Rob is still in the easy new phase of fatherhood. He’s definitely got challenges ahead and we hope that he’s prepared for them.
