Man Steals Clock From Police Station

Via UPI reports:

Police in Florida said a man arrested for possessing a stolen shopping cart allegedly tried to take a clock from the police station wall.

Panama City police said they were called to the Hathaway Bridge around 3 a.m. Tuesday and they arrived to find Dennis Baugham, 51, and Michael Marquez, 34, fighting near the bridge, WJHG-TV, Panama City, reported Thursday.

Investigators said the men were found to be in possession of a shopping cart taken from a store a few miles from the scene and other suspected stolen items including a tent, camping stove and camping fuel.

The men were taken to the Panama City Police Station, where officers said Marquez swiped a clock from the wall of an interview room and tried to hide it in his backpack.

Baugham and Marquez were both charged with possession of the stolen shopping cart and Marquez was charged with an additional count of petty theft.

The men were taken to the Bay County Jail.

Erica Mena And Peter Gunz Fight On LHHNYC

Peter Gunz is likely used to dealing with women who are quick to forgive, but Erica Mena isn’t one of them.
The “Love & Hip Hop: New York” stars are the latest to nearly come to blows after Rich Dollaz organizes a reunion that doesn’t go too well.

“I have no idea what the hell Rich was thinking, but bringing to me so-called business dinner to sit across from Little Gunz was definitely the wrong decision. I made it very clear to Rich that I want nothing to do with this clown,” Erica said before picking up a glass and hurling it at Peter.

While Peter arrived to the pow wow seemingly ready to make amends and admitting he jumped to conclusions about Erica last season, she seemingly wasn’t in a forgiving mood.

“You didn’t have no reason to do what you did last year…You’re the main reason why me and Rich aren’t together,” she said.

Clearly recognizing that his attempts and contrition were futile, Peter opted to meet hostility with hostility, insulting Erica’s talent and calling her out of her name.

“Your voice is terrible,” he said.

NYC Train Derails Leaving 4 Dead And 40 Injured

An NYC commuter train derailed early Sunday morning, claiming the lives of four passengers and leaving over three dozen others injured.

A commuter train derailed in a curve in the New York borough of the Bronx on Sunday, killing four people and leaving dozens hurt, investigators said.

All seven passenger cars and the locomotive jumped the tracks near the Spuyten Duyvil station, about 10 miles north of Manhattan’s Grand Central Terminal, the National Transportation Safety Board reported. Three of the dead were thrown out of the train as it “came off the track and was twisting and turning,” New York Fire Department Chief Edward Kilduff told reporters.

Surviving passenger Amanda Swanson told CNN the windows of the coaches broke out, and “the gravel came flying up in our faces.”

“I really didn’t know if I would survive,” said Swanson, who put her bag in front of her face to block the rubble. “The train felt like it was on its side and dragging for a long time. … The whole thing felt like slow motion.”

The train was en route to Grand Central from Poughkeepsie, 74 miles up the Hudson River, when it derailed about 7:20 a.m., NTSB member Earl Weener said Sunday. At least 67 people were injured, said Joe Bruno, New York’s commissioner of emergency management, and 11 remained in critical condition Sunday evening, Gov. Andrew Cuomo told reporters.

The official cause of the derailment is still unclear, but investigators are looking into the speed of the train at the time of accident as a possibly fatal factor.

The diesel locomotive was pushing passenger cars through a 30-mph curve north of the station at the time of the crash, Weener said. He said that configuration is one of many things investigators will be examining as they try to determine the cause of the wreck.

“Our mission is to understand not just what happened, but why it happened, with the intent of preventing it from ever happening again,” he said.

About 150 people were on the train when it derailed, said Laureen Coyne, director of risk management for New York’s Metropolitan Transit Authority, which includes the Metro-North railroad. One car came to rest just feet away from the Harlem River.

“I heard this horrible, whooshing sound. … It was very disturbing, very loud,” said Hank Goldman, who lives near the tracks. “I jumped out of bed and looked out the window and I saw a light-colored object lying down. I thought it was the roadway to the train. Then I got my binoculars, and I couldn’t believe my eyes, that the train had jumped the tracks right here.”

The Metro-North Hudson Line had a ridership of 15.9 million last year, with hundreds of people riding the packed trains during weekday rush hour, officials said.

The train operator — who is among the injured — told investigators he applied brakes to the train, but it didn’t slow down, a law enforcement official on the scene and familiar with the investigation said.

SMH. This is just ridiculous. This is almost as bad as the guy who keeps getting arrested trying to go to his job.

According to Gawker reports:

A police officer arrested three teens last week as they were standing outside a store in downtown Rochester, New York. Their crime: Waiting for a school bus.

The three boys — Raliek Redd, 16, Deaquon Carelock, 16, and Wan’Tauhjs Weathers, 17 — are star athletes at Edison Tech high school, and were waiting to be taken to a basketball game when they were spotted by an officer.

It seems the store adjacent to their pick-up spot was being monitored by police due to past complaints from the owner of teens loitering outside.

The officer asked the teens to disperse, but they explained that they were waiting to be picked up by a bus. The officer again asked the teens to disperse.

“We tried to tell them that we were waiting for the bus,” Wan’Tauhjs told WHEC. “We weren’t catching a city bus, we were catching a yellow bus. He didn’t care. He arrested us anyways.”

The three were charged with with disorderly conduct and obstructing the sidewalk.

While they were being handcuffed, their coach, Jacob Scott, arrived at the scene and attempted to reason with the cop.

“He goes on to say, ‘If you don’t disperse, you’re going to get booked as well,” Scott recalled. “I said, ‘Sir, I’m the adult. I’m their varsity basketball coach. How can you book me? What am I doing wrong? Matter of fact, what are these guys doing wrong?’”

A school board member has since come out in defense of the arrested teens, saying this is not a new phenomenon.

“I’m very concerned about a pattern of young people being abused by police authority,” Rochester City School Board Member Mary Adams is quoted as saying. “To me, this seems like a really clear case, part of a pattern.”

The boys were scheduled to enter their plea before a judge last Friday, but their hearing has been postponed until December 11.

This is getting ridiculous. These kids are athletes and students and they’re being targeted by police for what? The most ridiculous part is the fact that these ignorant pigs don’t even want to listen to logic. GTFOHWTBS!

British Man Has Toilet Paper Roller Stuck In His Butt

A kinky Brit scored a real bum deal after getting a toilet roll holder stuck in his butt.

The red-faced deviant was forced to dial emergency services for help after the device became uncomfortably lodged in his backside and left him unable to move.

Firefighters arrived at his home in Newport, South Wales, and quickly managed to free the holder from his behind.

They then gave the man tips on how to stop it from happening again.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service told the Mirror it had freed 864 people from embarrassing situations in the last three years.

“We do have to deal with wacky things,” said a Fire Bridges Union in Wales spokesman. “Sometimes someone will tell you a story and you just think: ‘I can’t top that’.”

“To be honest, if I managed to get myself into one of these sorts of scrapes, the last thing I would want would be a whole crew of firefighters coming to see me!” he added.

Sad part is, this guy probably felt comfortable putting the roller in his azz in the first place because he had done it million other times and it never got stuck.

Virginia Cemetery Dug Up And Replaced With Football Field

Residents in one Virginia community are rightfully outraged as a local high school is reportedly moving forward with plans to dig up a cemetery to make way for a new football field.

A northern Virginia school district has been criticized for following through with plans to turn an unruly swath of land identified as a gravesite into a high school football field.

“It’s not even the high school,” Carolyn Lynn, a genealogist from Manassas, Va., told The Washington Post. “And that kind of adds insult to injury.”

At the beginning of the school year, Prince William County high schools announced it would move the cemetery, which they just learned about over the summer, the report said. The report said contractors at the location found evidence of the cemetery in 2008, but for “unknown reasons” did not alert anyone in the school system for years. Some of the graves date back to the 1860s.

“It’s very upsetting. These were people who lived there, farmed there, had children….that expected to be there forever.”

Philip B. Kavits, a school spokesman, told the paper that the school division cannot afford to go through a redesign. Work at the cemetery had already started when researchers traced the land to a farm occupied by William Lynn and his wife in the mid-1800s. The graves likely belong to the family. Lynn, the genealogist, believes she is related to the cemetery’s occupants, the report said.

The report said despite complaints, the dig at the site was completed five days later. Workers reportedly found 11 graves and decayed bones and other artifacts.

How in the world was this even able to take place? This just sounds outrageous…

Gucci Mane Faces 10 Years In Prison On Federal Gun Charges

Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane was again in court Tuesday, this time facing federal gun possession charges.

The local hip hop star, whose real name is Radric Davis, was arraigned before a federal judge on two counts of gun possession by a convicted felon.

Davis, 33, is accused of displaying two different loaded handguns and acting erratically twice in September, both incidents occurring within days of one another, prosecutors said.

“We are actively reviewing the discovery (of evidence federal and local authorities have in the case),” Davis’ attorney Drew Findling said.

According to the federal indictments, on Sept. 12, Davis had a Taurus 45-caliber handgun and eight rounds of ammunition. Days later on Sept. 14, the indictment claims he was in possession of a Glock 40-caliber handgun and 11 rounds of ammunition.

If convicted on each count, Davis faces up to 20 years in federal prison and fines up to $500,000, court officials said.

He has been convicted twice, once in Fulton County in 2005 for assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault, and again in Dade County, Fla., that same year for possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana, according to court documents.

Davis will be detained until his trial, but it is unclear whether DeKalb County Jail officials will relinquish custody to federal officials. He has been in the DeKalb facility since a Sept. 14 arrest.

Fulton County authorities have a hold on Davis for a probation violation from a March arrest on assault charges.

His next federal court hearing is scheduled for early January, Findling said.
