All of the content is owned by the writer and therefore will not be a problem legally. Judge Decides Custody Of Jovan Belcher’s Daughter

It’s been 7 months since Kansas City Chiefs player Jovan Belcher murdered his girlfriend and then shot himself … but now a judge has finally decided who will get custody of the NFL player’s 9-month-old daughter.

A probate judge in Missouri has appointed Sophie D. Perkins as the legal guardian of Zoey Michelle Belcher. Perkins is Zoey’s first cousin (once removed) on her mother’s side.

Zoey’s mother — Kasandra Perkins– was shot to death by Belcher on December 1st, 2012. Belcher then drove to Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City … where he killed himself.

Jovan’s mother had tried to obtain custody of the child — but the judge clearly felt Perkins was the better choice.

According to court docs, Zoey will inherit Jovan’s estate — which has been valued at $799,119.85. She’s also reportedly set to receive at least $1,000,000 from the NFL … plus $1.2 million from a life insurance policy.

The main cause of this tragedy was that Jovan was a little boy in a man’s body. Therefore, he didn’t know how to handle a disagreement with his girlfriend and killed her. This type of beyotchazzness is common in about 80 percent of black males. Sad.

Burglar Discovers Dead Body In House

According to The New Zealand Herald

A burglar who discovered a dead body hanging in a Hamilton house is unlikely to face charges for the break-in.

The 26-year-old man made the grisly discovery early yesterday morning while attempting to burgle the vacant house in the suburb of Fairfield.

Hamilton Police city tactical coordinator Senior Sergeant Freda Grace said the burglar, who called police himself to raise the alarm, had been arrested but not charged.

Mrs Grace said the man was released after helping police with their inquiries.

The incident unfolded in the early hours of yesterday morning when the burglar stumbled across the dead body hanging in the dark.

His screams alerted neighbors who also phoned police. It’s understood they thought the screaming was a domestic dispute.

Mrs Grace said the victim had died hours before the burglary but if not for the break-in he may not have been found for days.

She said the death of the man, whose age is unknown, was not being treated as suspicious and had been referred to the coroner.

The burglar was known to police and Mrs Grace hoped the “weird” circumstances would alter his behavior.

“Hopefully there will be a positive out of it and that he will decide it’s not the thing to do. I would be taking that as pretty bad karma.”

Mrs Grace said the whole situation was incredibly sad”.

“It’s sad for the guy who felt so bad that that’s what happened to him. Really the whole set of circumstances are just horrid.”

She did not know if the dead man’s next of kin had been notified.

Hours passed … and he showed up at around 3 PM. But we’re told he wasn’t ready to smoke out of Miami because he needed to pick up his monkey from West Palm Beach.

Four more hours passed, and the monkey hasn’t surfaced at the airport. We’re told Bieber actually chartered a helicopter to bypass street traffic and retrieve the primate.

We’re told Bieber has 30 minutes left at the time of this post … before the pilot pulls the plug because he’s about to run out of duty time.

Marines Sentenced To Death For Killing Marine And His Wife

According to NBC San Diego

Three former Marines found guilty by jurors of torturing and killing a fellow Marine and his wife in a 2008 execution-style slaying in Southern California were sentenced Thursday.

Former Lance Cpl. Emrys John, 23, and former Lance Cpl. Tyron Miller, 25, were each sentenced to the death penalty. Former private Kevin Cox, 25, was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole. Their sentences were read at the Hall of Justice in Riverside, Calif.

The sentences are linked to the murders of newlyweds Marine Sgt. Jan Pietrzak and his wife Quiana Jenkins-Pietrzak. The couple was found gagged, tied and shot in the head in their Riverside County home in October 2008.

Sgt. Pietrzak, a helicopter airframe mechanic at MCAS Miramar near San Diego, was found bloody and beaten. His wife’s body was discovered naked. Officials say she had been sexually assaulted.

On June 5, two separate juries convicted Cox, John and Miller of murder. John was convicted of pulling the trigger. Miller was found guilty of murder and sexually assaulting Quiana Jenkins-Pietrzak.

A fourth suspect, former Lance Cpl. Kesaun Sykes of Fallbrook, had his case severed and is awaiting trial. Sykes was known as “Psycho” by fellow Marines. He’s set to be tried sometime later this summer.

Earlier this month, prosecutors said robbery was the motive for the crime. Jewelry, including the couple’s wedding rings, and Pietrzak’s dress uniform were found at the suspects’ homes, authorities said.

Racial slurs were spray-painted in the house, and fires had been set in an apparent attempt to destroy evidence.

All three men worked with Sgt. Pietrzak at one time while stationed at Camp Pendleton.

“He was not the actual killer, he was not in my opinion a major participant obviously the jury disagreed with that assessment,” Cox’s attorney Ryan Markson said on June 5.

At that time, Markson hoped jurors would consider Cox’s rank at the time of the murders when deliberating his punishment.

“Because it was three armed Marines, two of whom outranked him and telling him we need to knock on these people’s door,” he said earlier this month.

Pietrzak, 24, who was born in Poland and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., joined the Marines in 2003 and served in Iraq from July 2005 to February 2006.

Relatives of the victims said Quiana, 26, was from San Bernardino and a 2005 graduate of San Diego State University.

The couple met in San Diego through a mutual friend who also attended SDSU. Jenkins-Pietrzak was studying to become a doctor. Pietrzak served in Iraq and returned to San Diego in 2006.

Attorneys for all three defendants have already asked for a new trial.

Woman Talks Wild Night With Chris Brown And Sean Kingston

Chris Brown and Sean Kingston are used to gaggles of groupies and wild after-parties, but fan Jessica, a senior college student, got more than she expected during a night with the famous singers and RadarOnline.com has all the explosive details.

During a show in Boston in early June, Jessica and her roommates were pulled on stage during the performance and then invited by Sean to an after-party with the boys — but Jessica tells Radar once they got on the tour bus, she knew it was a “stupid move.”

“My roommates and I live in downtown Boston so we thought that this after-party was going to be at one of the nearby hotels like the W, the Ritz Carlton, Four Seaons, Liberty, etc. Plus, there was A LOT of people on stage with us, so it looked like a real after party. I mean we were expecting loud music, conversation, just something normal because everything seemed pretty normal while on stage,” Jessica says.

“But when we got outside they had taken our phones and shoes away from us and to be honest we were kind of in a daze, this had never happened to us before so we kind of just went along with it. Stupid move.”

Once on the bus, Jessica says she assumed they were going somewhere downtown but instead, they jumped on the freeway and ended up an hour away in a small town called Foxboro.

“I kept quite the whole way and pretended like I was having fun. There was drugs, alcohol and a lot of rapping. But they are also very, VERY disrespectful towards women,” Jessica revealed.

“The only drug I physically saw was that sticky icky. Chris has some vodka brand called Zing and they would pour it down our throats. Well, they did it to my friends but when it came to ‘my turn’ I took the bottle and pretended I was drinking out of it because I wanted to have my senses and remember things from that night.”

“What really opened my eyes was how Sean, Chris, and all of their friends treat women,” Jessica continued.

“On the bus it was just my roommate, another friend, and myself. But there were also two girls who Chris took with him into his hotel room. One of the guys on the bus pulled my friend over and lifted her skirt all the way up and started hitting her behind. While my roommate and I were trying to pull down her skirt, all the guys including Sean were slapping her behind while Chris was just looking right at her and laughing very, very hard.”

Jessica says once they arrived to the hotel, there was no after-party — at least not anything the girls had expected.

“Once we were in the elevator, I noticed there were cops downstairs. When we got up to their floor everybody dispersed into their rooms. I have no idea who all was in the room where my friends and I were because we immediately ran into the bathroom,” Jessica told Radar.

“This was the first time we had gotten a chance to talk all night since we had no phones and we were not sitting next to each other on the bus. We decided that the only thing there was to do is just to run out of the hotel room.

We ran out and one of Chris and Sean’s friends and another guy chased us down the hall asking us why we were leaving, trying to get us to stay.

“They took the elevator down with us, but once they saw we were going straight to the cops they dispersed. Chris was already in a room with those two other girls from the bus.”

Amanda Bynes Gets Breast Implants Removed

Amanda Bynes is suffering from the painful price of plastic surgery after having another cosmetic operation — to REMOVE her breast implants, the former child actress tells RadarOnline.com.

The 27-year-old regretted having had the boob job she infamously flaunted in a photo she posted on Twitter wearing only a bra in May.

“I got my breast implants removed,” Bynes confirmed via email to Radar. “They were uncomfortable… I prefer them out.”

RadarOnline.com has learned the headline-grabbing ex-Nickelodeon star went under the knife in early June to try and return to a more natural look — an A cup.

But she suffered a post-surgery complication, a source revealed.

“A tube got lodged in her breast and Amanda was in pain,” an insider close to Bynes revealed. “But she is much better now and even told me, ‘They look amazing without the implants!’”

Undeterred by the bad experience, she’s not done with her body enhancements and has booked yet another procedure – this time, on her nose — for this Saturday.

“The change in her nose has made Amanda feel so more confident,” the source said.

“She’s become addicted to the confidence each surgery gives her… She bemoaned that she she stopped working because she was so vain that she didn’t like how her nose was looking on camera.”

Describing herself as previously looking “hideous” and feeling “insecure” because of her nose, the What I Like About You star told the pal that her next procedure is to shave down “the bone that forms the bridge of my nose.”

3 Dead 14 Shot In Chicago’s First Day Of Summer

At least three people were killed and 10 others wounded in shootings in Chicago Friday, the first day of summer.

At least two other people suffered gunshot wounds early today, for a total of three shot to death and 12 others wounded in shootings since Friday afternoon.

About 8 p.m., four people were found shot in the 2900 block of North Kilpatrick Avenue. The man died later at Stroger Hospital and the three others were in critical condition, authorities said.

In the 2800 block of North Spaulding Avenue a little after 8 p.m., two people were reported shot, according to the Fire Department. A 36-year-old man died and a 61-year-old was wounded.

Police had few immediate details, but confirmed that at 8:08 p.m. two men were wounded on Spaulding. The two were outside when someone came out from between two parked cars and fired at them. One man shot in the chest was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center with a serious wound, according to police.

The other man, who police said was wounded in the lower leg and with a graze wound to the head, was taken to Stroger Hospital of Cook County in serious-to-critical condition, according to the Fire Department.

B-b-but wait it gets worse!

About 5 a.m., a man suffered a graze wound to the back of his head near 5000 South Winchester Avenue, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli. The man was on the street when he heard shots and felt he had been hit. He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital for treatment.

Just before 3 a.m. a 24-year-old man was shot in the arm in the 1600 block of South Christiana Avenue in the Lawndale neighborhood. He’s in good condition at Mount Sinai Hospital.

A 19-year-old was shot about a half hour earlier on 61st Street just west of Ashland Avenue in the West Englewood neighborhood. The teen is in stable condition at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County with wounds to his arm arm and abdomen.

A 14-year-old boy was shot in the 4000 block of West Fillmore Street in the Lawndale neighborhood about 10:10 p.m., police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound to his ankle and a graze wound to the head. Police said he ran home after getting shot.

Someone inside a dark car or truck shot a 28-year-old man about 11:15 p.m. Friday in the Galewood neighborhood. The drive-by shooting left the man in stable condition at West Suburban Medical Center with a wound to his thigh.

In the South Chicago neighborhood about 11 p.m., a 23-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the leg. He had been shot in the 8800 block of South Exchange Avenue and was found in a front yard.

About 7 p.m., a 22-year-old man walked into the University of Illinois Hospital with a gunshot wound to the hand. He told police he had been shot in the 2300 block of West Roosevelt Road in the Tri-Taylor neighborhood.

About 6:30 p.m., a 37-year-old woman was shot in the ankle in the 8100 block of South Drexel Avenue and was taken to Jackson Park Hospital in good condition, Zala said.

A man was shot to death in the West Garfield Park neighborhood this afternoon, wounded in the head and abdomen in the 4400 block of West Adams Street about 1:31 p.m., said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala.

Are Republicans to blame for minorities being stuck in poverty?

Minorities Remain In Poverty While GOP Refuses To Increase Minimun Wage

Republicans have found yet another way to indirectly have a negative impact on the lives of thousands of minorities, as new reports show that the GOP’s refusal to approve the proposed minimum wage increase is keeping at least 300,000 people of color living in poverty.

Three and a half million people of color would be lifted out of poverty if Congress raised the minimum wage to $10.10, according to a new report from the restaurant workers’ group ROC United.

They would be the majority of the six million people overall who would be lifted out of poverty. People of color are far more likely to work minimum wage jobs, as they represent 42 percent of those earners even though they make up just 32 percent of the workforce.

That big number is in large part thanks to the overrepresentation of people of color in low-wage restaurant industry jobs. Over 500,000 of those lifted out of poverty by a raise in the minimum wage would be restaurant workers, 300,000 of whom would be workers of color.

Restaurants are the single largest employer of people of color, but they are disproportionately concentrated in the lowest paying positions.

As the report notes, “Two of the lowest-paying jobs, dishwashers and fast food preps and cooks, are 59% and 35% people of color, and earn a median wage of $8.78 and $8.85, respectively.” Forty percent of tipped workers — who make an even lower minimum wage of $2.13 — are people of color.
The people of color who hold these jobs are also more likely to live in poverty. They make up more than half of tipped workers and restaurant workers with incomes below the poverty line.

There’s no doubt that the Republican party is hardly interested in improving the lives of minorities, as they continue to prove, but do you think they are to blame for this abundant amount of people of color living in ‘poverty’ by our society’s standards. Or are the people themselves to blame?
