On being an “Independent Woman”:

Another Day, Another Transgender Florida Man Popped For Administering Illegal Silicone Butt Injections
Who in the hell is dumb enough to let this Calvin/Tameika Butler character inject unknown substances in their arses?!?!?!?
According to NBC Miami:
Miami-Dade and Broward have had their share of people accused of performing illegal butt enhancements, and now it’s Palm Beach’s turn.
A 44-year-old West Palm Beach man is facing charges of unlicensed practice of health care causing serious bodily harm after he injected silicone into at least two patients’ buttocks at a motel room, according to a Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office arrest report obtained Wednesday. According to the report, Calvin Edward Butler, also known as Tamieka Butler, performed the injections at El Patio Motel dating back to June 2012.
The first alleged victim, a woman, told detectives in December that she received injections from Butler at the motel four times between September and October, the report said. The victim said she would disrobe from the waist down and Butler would use a felt tip pen to mark areas on her buttocks where Butler felt she “needed fullness,” according to the report.
With the victim lying down, Butler would pour out a clear liquid from a Pedialyte bottle, telling the woman it was sterile silicone, the report said. After pouring the liquid into a plastic cup, he filled syringes from the cup which he used to inject into the woman’s buttocks, the report said. Once the injections were complete, Butler would clean any blood or fluid from the skin and use Krazy Glue on the incisions, the report said. The woman was charged $200 per injection session.
Butler first told the woman he received the silicone from a nurse at Florida Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, then told her he bought it from a woman named Debra who is well known for silicone injections in the Miami area, the report said. The second victim, a man, said he had received weekly injections from Butler between June and October 2012 at the motel, the report said. The injections were administered in the same manner as the woman, though Butler charged only $100 per session, giving a discount price since they were old friends, the report said.
Butler told the man he had several strippers as patients who were charged $400 per visit, the report said. When the man began developing open sores at the injection sites and contacted Butler, Butler told him to toughen up and gave him oral antibiotics, the report said.
The sores increased in size and the man was admitted to Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center in November with a severe infection. Doctors performed surgery on the man’s buttocks and found cultures with MRSA and other bacteria infections, the report said.
As the man was recovering at the hospital, Butler paid him an unannounced visit in December, arriving dressed as a woman with a wig and fur coat and several large pieces of jewelry, the report said.
When the man asked Butler what he was doing there, Butler responded, You need to remember who the bi— in charge is,” the report said. Butler also said he was angry the man has sought medical attention, the report said. Authorities believe there may be more victims of Butler who haven’t been found and are asking the public’s assistance. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-458-TIPS.

Lyin’ Hawaiian! Manti Te’o Tells Katie Couric He Mislead Media After Learning His Girlfriend Was A Hoax
SMH. Anybody who didn’t already know this guy was a liar is a fool! Manti Te’o is finally coming clean. Sorta.

Manti Te’o briefly lied to the media and the public after discovering his online girlfriend did not exist and was a part of an elaborate hoax, he admitted in an exclusive interview with ABC News’ Katie Couric.
The star Notre Dame linebacker, who has been hounded by the reporters since the story broke Jan. 16, told Couric in a taped interview Tuesday that he was not lying up until December. Te’o said he was duped into believing his online girlfriend, Lennay Kekua, died of cancer.
“You stuck to the script. And you knew that something was amiss, Manti,” Couric said.
Te’o found out that Kekua was a hoax on Dec. 6, but on Dec. 8 he again publicly mentioned his girlfriend. The remark came as Te’o was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy, the award for the best college football player in the country. Te’o was eventually a runner-up for the trophy.
“Katie, put yourself in my situation. I, my whole world told me that she died on Sept. 12. Everybody knew that. This girl, who I committed myself to, died on Sept. 12,” Te’o said.
“Now I get a phone call on Dec. 6, saying that she’s alive and then I’m going be put on national TV two days later. And to ask me about the same question. You know, what would you do?” Te’o said.
Te’o, 21, was joined by his parents, Brian and Ottilia, in the interview.
“Now many people writing about this are calling your son a liar. They are saying he manipulated the truth, really for personal gain,” Couric said to Te’o's father.
“People can speculate about what they think he is. I’ve known him 21 years of his life. And he’s not a liar. He’s a kid,” Brian Te’o said with tears in his eyes.

An eldery Missouri man reportedly let his temper get the best of him when an argument between he and his wife took a turn for the worst.

Harry Irwin is charged with second-degree murder in the stabbing death of his 95-year-old wife, Grace, in south Kansas City, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker said Wednesday.
A daughter of the couple found Grace Irwin bleeding on a bed and Harry Irwin laying still in a recliner with knife in his hand, according to a probable cause statement filed by detectives in the case.
Harry Irwin had apparently slit his wrists and plunged a knife into his chest, detectives said in the statement. Grace Irwin was pronounced dead at the scene.
On the way to the hospital, police said Irwin stated: “Yes, I killed her then killed myself. Why am I awake?”Irwin said he tried to stab himself in the heart but he must have aimed too low and hit a rib, according to the probable cause statement.
He also said his wife was arguing and screaming at him all night and that he couldn’t take it anymore, the statement said.
We know arguments can get pretty headed at times, especially between couples, but there were clearly some other factors that led to this man committing this unthinkable act against his now late wife. Maybe this agrument was the last straw of many. Sad story.
