Rapper Accused Of Nearly $2 Million Tax Fraud
The judge in DMX’s $1.7 million tax fraud case has agreed to let the rapper off of house arrest to tape a BET show – but there’s one catch.
Judge Jed Rakoff OK’d DMX’s plan to travel to Atlanta this week to film the BET show “Tales,” but only if he goes with a sober living monitor from the Gavin Foundation and goes to drug rehab as soon as he’s back in NYC Aug. 25, according to Judge Rakoff’s court order.
The judge’s move to let X travel came after the “Party Up” rapper’s friend and contemporary Irv Gotti begged the judge to let him tape the show, which he is executive producing. Gotti told the judge in a letter obtained by BOSSIP that not letting him travel to tape the show would be “career-ending.”
Judge Rakoff initially had misgivings because DMX’s lawyers had made a last-minute request to travel, and the rapper’s pre-trial services officer said going out of town would impact his access to drug treatment services.
The feds have accused DMX, 46, of knowingly withholding some $1.7 million in tax money to the government from his income over period of years. Judge Rakoff revoked his bail and put him on house arrest earlier this month after court officers said he tested positive for cocaine four times in less than a month.

Sitter Popped For Forcing 4-Year-Old Into Oral Sex
So sad! You can’t trust anyone with your kids.
An 18-year-old San Antonio woman who was responsible for babysitting a 4-year-old boy is accused of sexually assaulting the child, according to KATU2. Esmeralda Marie Medellin allegedly molested the boy while she was babysitting him back in March. According to an arrest affidavit, the boy told his mother Medellin forced him to perform sex acts on her. The mother immediately called police, who had Medellin and the boy tested.
DNA results collected from the alleged assault just came back this week, confirming the little boy’s account. SMH. Medellin was arrested on charges for “aggravated sexual assault of a child.”
Thankfully the DNA corroborated the boy’s story. She walked free for months without evidence. Sicko!
