Naomie Harris Talks Playing A Crackhead And Racism Against Immigrants
Congratulations to the lovely Naomie Harris, who covers the newest issue of New York Magazine! The cover story provides Harris an opportunity to address controversial topics like the diversity of this year’s Oscar nominees, the spread of racism and xenophobia both in the UK and America and her belief about who will win the Oscar she’s nominated for (Best Supporting Actress).
Harris told NYMag she had to let go of “a lot of judgment” about her ‘Moonlight’ character Paula, especially because she’s never had a drink!!!
“I’m so Miss Control Freak,” she admits. “I could never imagine being drunk or losing control like that. That’s my worst nightmare.”
Harris also sounds off about the notion that the large number of African-American actors and projects nominated at the Academy Awards this year is in response to #OscarsSoWhite:
“I know that everyone thinks this year is a response to that whole campaign,” Harris says carefully. “When, in fact, these films were in production or preproduction for years before all of this. So they aren’t actually a response to that whole argument. So I don’t like the way that they’re used as a response to that. And people are saying, you know, ‘Isn’t it amazing in a year how things have changed as a result of that campaign?’ ”
We agree with her. The films and actors who are nominated are DESERVING — as they probably were last year as well. We’re glad that she’s hitting out at the misconception because there’s always people looking for a reason to diminish the accomplishments of black folks!
Harris is up for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in ‘Moonlight’ BUT she says she doesn’t think she’ll win:
“It’s not going to happen. It’s Viola [Davis]’s year, you know?”

Chrissy Teigen Gives Accidental Boob Flash At Super Bowl LI
Chrissy Teigen gave a little show of her own during the New England Patriots’ stunning win over the Atlanta Falcons at Super Bowl LI. While sitting in a viewing box alongside her husband, John Legend, the model had a bit of wardrobe malfunction leading to an inadvertent slip of the nipple.
As the cameras scanned the press and media boxes for celebrity sightings, Teigen and Legend were seemingly enjoying the game. However, a very focused Twitter user by the name of @chuckupthedusse managed to zero in on Teigen’s sheer top and the bare situation underneath. After posting a seven-second clip of the slip to Twitter, the video made its usual rounds but didn’t quite garner the controversy one would expect.
Teigen, who is probably one of Twitter’s most lively and engaging personalities, laughed off the nipple gaffe with some of her usual wit.
“[B]oom goes the dynamite,” read Teigen’s response to the video which was retweeted well over 5,000 times. The NFL hasn’t addressed the matter and looks largely to be a non-issue. And thanks to Chuck Will’s quick eyes and DVR skills, much of the world would have remained in the dark about how Teigen’s boobs look naked.

Is Donald Trump’s African-American jumping off the bigoted bandwagon?
Kanye West might still be trying to get the tire marks off the back of his $2,000 sweatshirts after Twitter collectively through him under a speeding bus over his support of President Safety Cone.
But it appears that Mr. West has turned over a new leaf as he has deleted all of his 140-character co-signs from Twitter according to TMZ.
Some will say that ‘Ye was coerced into scrubbing his page of Trump praise, but a source close to him swears up and down that this was 100% Kanye’s decision.
Why the change of heart? Well, apparently Kanye doesn’t approve of the burnt sienna POTUS’ first couple weeks in office. Specifically in regards to the Muslim bad. Guess Pablo just now realized that such a policy was on Trump’s agenda. No idea how he missed that, but we’re also not surprised that he did. Living in that Kardashian bubble probably precludes a lot of common knowledge and information to infiltrate his brain.

London Police Officer Chases A Shoplifter While Dressed As A Giraffe
Most decent cops have good instincts, great cops have animal instincts.
Enter London cop Ben Perkins. While he and a few of his friends were inexplicably dressed as giraffes while bouncing from pub to pub on a bar crawl, they witnessed a shoplifter hauling a$$ away from a local TK Maxx (not to be confused with the stateside TJ Maxx although they look to by run by the same company).
According to MetroUK, Perkins’ instincts kicked in and he began chasing the thief…while dressed as a giraffe.
Eventually the perp was caught and the Ben along with his band of furry men hemmed the man up until cops came to cuff him.
This photo is a result of that chase.
We can’t even begin to imagine how strangely hilarious it must have been to witness grown men in giraffe costumes chasing a robber. So random. So very ridiculous.

Many rappers came out the woodwork to give Kodak the ‘ho sit down’ but Louisiana artist Hurricane Chris threw his name into the mix. Chris hopped off the struggle bus after years of rapper exile and fired shots at Kodak for trying to catch fade with his friend Wayne:

The mother kicked little Nohely Alexandra Martinez Hernandez because she didn’t brush her teeth in the morning. Britney Spears’ Niece Maddie In Critical Condition
Britney Spears’ 8-year-old niece is in critical condition at a New Orleans hospital after suffering an ATV accident at her home on Sunday.
According to TMZ, Jamie Lynn Spears’ daughter Maddie was riding in her Polaris when she swerved her wheels to avoid rolling into a ditch.
However, the move flipped her vehicle over into a pond, pinning her underwater. She remained submerged for 2 minutes while Jamie Lynn and her husband ran 100 yards to her aid then frantically tried to unfasten her seat belt and free her from the netting to get her out.
Paramedics arrived on the scene in just a few minutes, and Maddie was finally freed by paramedics.
Today, Britney Spears asked for her fans’ prayers for her ailing niece:
