Feds Say Jaelyn D. Young And Fiancé Tried To Join ISIS; Young’s Facebook Profile Shows A Fascination With Muslim Extremism

The Mississippi college student the feds believe planned to run away with her fiancé to join ISIS appears to have radical views online, BOSSIP has learned.

The FBI arrested Jaelyn D. Young, 20, and her fiancé, Muhammad Dakhlalla, 22, Aug. 8 at a Columbus, Miss. airport. The feds believe the couple planned to fly to Turkey, and then head to Syria to marry and then join the so-called Islamic State. Young and Dakhlalla were charged with attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq.

A judge Tuesday ordered the pair held without bail.

Young’s Facebook page shows a woman who abruptly shifted her online profile from that of an unremarkable chemistry major at Mississippi State University to a hardline Muslim stance.

In less than two years, Young’s Facebook profile shows she went from liking a Vicksburg-area ice cream parlor, robotics championships and Mississippi State football to fundamentalist Muslim scholar Yasir Qadhi, apps that teach users to recite the Quran and Shaykh Abdullah Hakim Quick, a controversial Muslim cleric who railed against Jews and called for gays to be put to death.

The teen also “liked” the “Diary of a Muhajira,” a blog that encourages women to abandon their lives in the West and to head to Syria to marry and keep house for jihadi extremists.

In February, Young, who listed herself on Facebook as a Sunni Muslim from Vicksburg, changed her profile picture to three faceless people, two clad in hijabs. Last year, she changed her Facebook background to “Free Palestine,” written several times in a mural shaped like a heart.

A friend of Dakhalla told the Clarion Ledger that he’d only been with Young for a few months, so it’s unclear what role he may have played in her alleged radicalization.

Officer Brad Miller Fired For Christian Taylor Murder

The officer who fatally shot unarmed Texas teen Christian Taylor has officially been fired.

Arlington police chief Will Johnson told reporters today that rookie cop Brad Miller was off the job for killing Taylor when “no physical contact between them” was made.

The New York Times reports:

A rookie police officer who shot and killed a Texas college football player inside a car dealership in suburban Dallas was fired on Tuesday, the police said.

Chief Will Johnson of the Arlington police said that the officer, Brad Miller, 49, had been fired for the “inappropriate judgment” in the fatal shooting of Christian Taylor, 19.

Chief Johnson said Officer Miller had entered the building without his partner, leading to an “an environment of cascading consequences.”

Police had said that Mr. Taylor was shot on Friday as he tried to flee from officers who had been dispatched to the Arlington dealership after reports of a suspected burglary.

The Tarrant County medical examiner found that Mr. Taylor had gunshot wounds to his neck, chest and abdomen. At a news conference, Chief Johnson said Tuesday that Mr. Miller made bad decisions in communicating with other officers and initially approaching Mr. Taylor on his own without a plan for arrest.

There were other officers on scene, the chief told reporters, including Mr. Miller’s training officer, who tried to use a Taser to subdue the suspect.

“Based on a preponderance of evidence available to me and facts revealed by the investigative team, I have decided to terminate Officer Miller’s employment with the Arlington Police Department for exercising poor judgment,” Chief Johnson told a news conference.

SMH…even Miller’s fellow officer thought it was best to JUST fire his taser.

Transgender Prostitute Attacks Respected Chicago Alderman

A 22-year-old man was charged in an attack on Alderman David Moore of the 17th Ward.

Via ABC 7 Chicago:

Ald. Moore said in a statement that he was responding to a constituent’s call about a group of alleged prostitutes in the city’s Gresham neighborhood when he was injured.

The alderman was returning home around 3 a.m. Sunday, after another incident in his ward where police were called, when he saw a group soliciting in the 7500-block of South Peoria Street.

Moore said he asked them to disperse after identifying himself as the alderman. They started yelling at him and a man struck his arm. He said once he called police, the group scattered.

Police were able to track down the man who allegedly punched Moore a short time later.

Cordale Profit, 22, of the 6100-block of South Rockwell Street, was charged with aggravated battery to a public official, aggravated battery in a public place and unlawful vehicular invasion. He appeared in bond court on Sunday.

Ald. Moore said residents have been complaining about prostitution in the nearby area of West 73rd and South May street for years.

“In an effort to make the 17th Ward a desirable place to live for everyone, we have to address all unwanted criminal activity,” Moore said. “There are no harmless crimes.”

Mike Scott Faces 25 Years In Prison After Getting Caught With Drugs

Atlanta Hawks forward James Michael “Mike” Scott was arrested by Banks County deputies on Thursday after a chase. The 27-year-old now faces felony drug possession charges.

The Banks County Sheriff’s Office said Scott was in a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe that fled a traffic stop on Interstate 85 around 9 a.m. Thursday. Deputies said they were attempting to pull the car over for following too close to another vehicle. Speeds reached up to 98 mph before eventually stopping two miles down the road, according to deputies.

The driver of the car, Antonn Imhotep Scott, 20, of Acworth, was charged with fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement officers, following too closely in addition to felony drug possession.

Investigators said the men admitted to having drugs in the vehicle. Deputies said they found marijuana as well as over 10 grams of MDMA was in the car.

Both men were booked into the Banks County jail. They are expected to bond out late Thursday evening.

“We are aware of the situation involving Mike Scott this morning. Out of respect for the legal process, we will not have any additional comments at this time,” Hawks Head Coach Mike Budenholzer said in a statement in response to the arrest.

Toya Wright’s Brothers Casey And Walter Arrested

Two of Toya Wright’s brothers are in deep trouble with the law.

Casey  Johnson and Walter Johnson were recently arrested in Louisiana along with two other men for a large jewelry store heist committed by the so-called “Truce Mob.”

WBRZ reports:

Police arrested two men and said three other suspects are at large Wednesday in connection with the armed robbery of a Gonzales jewelry store last month.

Louisiana State Police arrested one suspect, 21-year-old Jacquendes Octave of Harvey, early Wednesday morning. Authorities in Georgia also arrested Casey Johnson, the brother of another suspected robber, after a trooper there said they found loot from the robbery in his vehicle.

Gonzales Police said on July 14 four men with guns went into Roussel’s on Airline Highway and threatened to kill the employees. They then stole jewelry from the display cabinets as well as items from the store’s safe and the surveillance video equipment.

Detectives said they found out the four visited another jewelry store earlier that day, and used surveillance video as well as fingerprints and social media to identify the group. Police said one was a New Orleans juvenile with a history of robberies while the three others were Octave, 33-year-old Walter Johnson of Metairie, and 22-year-old Jay Lyons of Gretna.

Investigators said the group identified themselves as a self-made gang called the “Truce Mob.”

Gonzales Police said on July 18 the FBI in Atlanta contacted them about Walter Johnson’s brother. The FBI said a Georgia State Trooper had stopped a vehicle driven by Casey Johnson and found a large number of diamond rings which were later identified as belonging to Roussel’s. Johnson was extradited back to Gonzales and charged with accessory after the fact to armed robbery.

Detectives said the vehicle used the robbery also turned up on July 22 when it was seized by investigators in Jefferson Parish. Police said it’s owned by Jay Lyons and is being held as evidence.

Khloe Kardashian was blindsided at 6:45 AM Wednesday by soon-to-be ex-husband Lamar Odom, who launched a verbal attack.

Khloe was on her way into SoulCycle in Beverly Hills when Lamar came out of nowhere, screaming at her. An eyewitness tells us Lamar was demanding that she talk to him. She kept walking as he was screaming. At that point Lamar touched Khloe’s arm and she screamed at him, “Get off of me, get off of me. Stop. Stop.”

Another eyewitness asked Khloe if she wanted them to call the cops, and Lamar screamed, “You’re not going to call the cops on Lamar Odom.”

Khloe then screamed, “How did you know I was here?” He didn’t give a clear answer.

We’re told Khloe was visibly freaked out and bolted to her car and drove away.

Khloe and Lamar signed divorce docs last month, after the divorce lay dormant for more than a year.

“Tyga wants to do it on his show Kingin’ With Tyga because the ratings are not doing so great,” says the source.

“But Kris has other ideas in mind. She wants to confirm their relationship by making it an entire episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians.”

Will Smith To Produce A “Fresh Prince” Reboot

A reboot of the popular 90s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is reportedly in the works.

According to TVLine, original series’ lead Will Smith is spearheading the project, where he will serve as executive producer via his production company, Overbrook Entertainment, alongside James Lassiter, Caleeb Pinkett and Jada Pinkett-Smith.

The show is reportedly in the early stages of development, and will provide a modern-day take on the show that skyrocketed Smith’s acting career, but still retain the spirit of the original show.

Overbrook is believed to be finalizing its pitch now, which should begin making the rounds to networks within the next several weeks.

Today happens to be NBC’s day at the TCA press tour and NBC chairman Robert Greenblatt was asked if he’d be interested in the new version of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Greenblatt actually hadn’t heard about the project yet, as news of it had just broken. But his first response was, “It’s something I’d be happy to talk to Will about, sure.”

While Fresh Prince of Bel-Air aired on NBC, it came from Warner Bros. Television, though they were not mentioned in TV Line’s initial report.

Speaking with Perez Hilton on his podcast, she admitted that she and Machine are done! ”No we’re not dating anymore,” Amber revealed. “I think it was just a mutual agreement. We’re still really good friends.”

So what was the reason for the split? It sounds like she is over the tour lifestyle after dealing with it during her relationship with estranged hubby Wiz Khalifa.

“ I can’t really support a man on tour anymore. I kind of did that already and I’m just not in a space where that’s really what I want to do. I just need to focus on my son and my business. I’m dating other people and just having a good time.”

But unfortunately, if you’re an average Joe, it doesn’t sound like you’ll have a shot at dating the beauty. “It’s very difficult for me to date a normal guy,” the 31-year-old said. “I’ve tried it and they just don’t really fully understand my life. It becomes very difficult.”

And when asked if she’s juggling more than one famous person right now, Amber would only say “I’m dating, I’m dating,” while laughing. Hmmm…we’re going to take that as a yes, Amber!
