A scumbag business owner has a local Chicago community in an uproar after he reportedly slapped an iconic 79-year-old African-American judge across the face before spitting on her and calling her “Rosa Parks”…..all because she was smoking a cigarette in his presence.

A North Side business owner slapped a 79-year-old Cook County judge in the face, spit on her and called her “Rosa Parks” after becoming angry that she was smoking near him outside the Daley Center, authorities said.
Monday’s attack outside the courthouse came as a shock to friends of Judge Arnette Hubbard, a silver-haired African-American jurist who was the first female president of the National Bar Association and Cook County Bar Association, both black lawyers’ groups.
“She’s an icon in our community,” said Delores Robinson, past president of the Cook County Bar Association, who noted that Hubbard, a former commissioner on the Cook County Board of Elections, had been an international election observer in Haiti and South Africa and had long been a voice on civil rights and women’s issues.
Cook County prosecutors said Tuesday that Hubbard was outside the Daley Center smoking a cigarette when she walked past David C. Nicosia, 55, who became angry that she was smoking near him.
The two argued and Nicosia, who is white, stepped near her face and said, “Rosa Parks, move,” and spit in her face, prosecutors said. As he walked away, the Law Division judge followed him and called out for assistance.
Nicosia then turned and allegedly slapped the judge on the left side of her face with an open hand, prosecutors said. He was then arrested by sheriff’s deputies and charged with four counts of aggravated battery and a hate crime.
Judge James Brown ordered him held on $90,000 bail Tuesday.
Violence should never be the answer, but his sorry excuse for a man has clearly never had a good old fashioned his azz beating. We’re calling Solange….

After just under 5 years of marriage, two adorable boys, and 2.3 million dollars in stolen funds, Phaedra Parks’ marriage to Apollo Nida may finally have come to an end. Apparently Phaedra’s been keeping up her “southern belle with a perfect family” image up for the sake of her kids and RHOA reality cameras, but was pushed over the edge by Apollo’s prison sentence.

Phaedra Parks reportedly won’t be sticking around for husband Apollo Nida to serve his eight-year prison sentence.
According to In Touch Weekly, the 41-year-old Real Housewives Of Atlanta star ‘wants to leave him’ after he was convicted of federal bank fraud and identity theft and sentenced to almost a decadein the slammer on July 8.
‘If they never started a family, she would have filed for divorce long ago,’ the publication reports an insider as saying. ‘But this is going to push Phaedra to act quickly.’
The entertainment attorney and the 35-year-old personal trainer are parents to two young sons - Ayden, three, and Dylan, 14 months – and despite wanting to keep her family together for the sake of the children, she’s reportedly had enough of her husband’s criminal activities.
Of course, the couple married on November 1, 2009 – only a short time after Apollo was released from jail having spent six years behind bars for car theft.
Meanwhile, TMZ is reporting that the troubled reality star, who regularly appeared alongside hiswife on the hit series, will have to cough up close to $1.9 million in restitution after being convicted of cashing stolen checks and laundering more than $2.3 million.
Phaedra knew she had a criminal on her hands when she met Apollo. Why get involved with a convict if you’re not “’bout that life?”
Either way, at least she got two adorable sons out of the deal (and managed to stay out of jail herself). Guess it’s time to put that donkey booty on blast and catch her next boo while she’s still got it…

Apparently Drake’s opening lines on YG’s “Who Do You Love” track sound STRIKINGLY similar to a portion of a verse from Rappin’ 4-Tay’s 1994 track “Playaz Club.” 4-Tay never filed a formal lawsuit, but today he’s enjoying some Views From The 6-figure settlement in exchange for his throwback lines. Drake just paid a ton of respect to Rappin’ 4-Tay — in the form of cold, hard cash — to settle a beef in which 4-Tay claimed Drizzy jacked his rhymes.
4-Tay first put Drake on blast when YG’s hit “Who Do You Love” came out. Drake drops lyrics on the song that are clearly ripped straight from 4-Tay’s 1994 hit “Playaz Club.”
4-Tay was offended Drake didn’t give him credit on the song. No lawsuit was ever filed, but sources close to the situation tell us a very lucrative agreement was reached.
4-Tay’s manager tells TMZ … Drake’s record label agreed to pay 4-Tay $100,000 for “borrowing” the lines.
Not shockingly … 4-Tay tells us he’s no longer offended.
Let’s face it, $100,000 is chump change to Drizzy and the label. At least he was able to tiptoe around a messy lawsuit with this one…but it may behoove Drake to only rap his own emo-rhymes from here on out.

A 26-year-old man has been charged with involuntary manslaughter more than a year after he hugged a 14-month-old child so tightly that the boy stopped breathing and died, Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said Wednesday.
Robert Kemp was taken into custody Tuesday and released on $10,000 bond the next day. Kemp is described as a family friend in a news release from Ravenell.
An arrest warrant said Kemp killed the child “by giving him a bear hug, squeezing the victim so tight that the victim stopped breathing as a result.”
Jaylen Harris died from asphyxiation, on June 27, 2013, Orangeburg County Chief Deputy Coroner Sean Fogle said.
Kemp told deputies he was playing with the child when he started to rub his eyes like he was tired, so he put the toddler in his crib on his back with his bottle, according to an incident report.
Kemp said he went to the kitchen to do some chores and realized he hadn’t heard the boy in a while. He went back into the bedroom and noticed the toddler on his stomach, unconscious with his hands balled into fists, according to the report.

The city of Lakeland has paid $25,000 to a woman ordered to shake out her bra during a Lakeland police traffic stop last year, city records show.
Zoe Brugger, 29, of Lakeland, was paid $25,000 in a check dated July 7, according to records made available to The Ledger after a public records request. The payment was made after it was approved by City Manager Doug Thomas, City Attorney Tim McCausland and other city directors.
Brugger was pulled over by a Lakeland police officer in May 2013 because her vehicle had a broken headlight, police and State Attorney’s Office reports said. She was forced to shake out her bra multiple times in a fruitless search for drugs. The officer also searched her car over her objections.
A silent video of the search went viral and State Attorney Jerry Hill said the practice was demeaning, ineffective and possibly dangerous.
The officer, Dustin Fetz, was not punished after a LPD review of the incident found requiring Brugger to shake out her bra did not violate police search policy or the law. Fetz served a one-day suspension for misusing recording equipment because he had his car camera turned on during the incident but not his microphone.
Looks like the police department is trying it’s best to keep this one quiet
The payment to Brugger was disclosed to The Ledger through a public records request after city officials said there was no settlement.
City spokesman Kevin Cook told The Ledger July 10 that no settlement had been reached with Brugger. The $25,000 was approved by city officials July 1 and a check issued July 7.
Cook said he reported to The Ledger what McCausland told him and that the statement was not wrong because a settlement technically had not been reached.
“I was told there was no settlement originally and technically the issue isn’t considered settled until there is an executed release and the city of Lakeland has not received that release,” Cook said in an email.
Shady business, but it’s to be expected when it comes to the cops.

We’re so used to seeing judges and attorneys label young Black men as monsters for making mistakes any wayward kid of any race could make. However, one Detroit judge recently provided relatively light sentencing and basically blamed the prosecuted boy’s ain’t isht daddy for not being around to give him guidance. Does he have a point?
DETROIT (AP) – A young man who participated in a mob attack on a Detroit-area motorist needed a father to “beat the hell” out of him as a kid to discourage him from committing such a crime, a judge said Thursday.
The stunning remarks by Wayne County Judge James Callahan came as he sentenced Latrez Cummings to six months in jail.
In response to the judge’s question, Cummings, 19, said his father wasn’t around when he was growing up.
Callahan said Cummings needed a dad, “someone to discipline you. Someone to beat the hell out of you when you made a mistake, as opposed to allowing you or encouraging you to do it to somebody else.”
Cummings and four others have pleaded guilty to assaulting Steve Utash, who was in a coma for days after the April attack. The mob pounced on him in Detroit when he got out of his pickup truck to help a 10-year-old boy who had stepped in front of his vehicle.
The judge’s remarks preceded a loud, spirited exchange with assistant prosecutor Lisa Lindsay, who said the six-month sentence was too light. She said there are many young black men who were raised without a father but haven’t committed crimes. Cummings is black.
“Did I ever use the term ‘black’?” replied Callahan, who is white. “It doesn’t matter if a person is black, white, yellow or red.”
Despite the harsh tone, the judge said Cummings’ age and childhood were mitigating factors in the light sentence.
“We’ve all been 19 years of age,” Callahan said.
Sounds like the judge was providing some much-needed tough love to us! And good for him giving this young brother another chance after making a stupid mistake. Hopefully he’ll take that six months behind bard to really think about where his life is going and turn some things around…

Irony at it’s worst.
After the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight 370, it’s surprising that the airline was able to still book passengers. One passenger on today’s doomed flight actually joked about the plane possibly disappearing moments before he boarded. Via MailOnline:
A haunting photograph of flight MH17 is believed to have been posted on Facebook by a Dutch passenger just moments before he boarded the doomed plane.
The plane, pictured on tarmac, took off from Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport at lunchtime today. It was shot down hours later on the Russia-Ukraine border in an ‘act of terrorism’, killing all 295 people on board.
Cor Pan, who is listed on Facebook as living in Volendam in North Holland, uploaded the picture of the aircraft with the caption: ‘If it disappears, this is what it looks like.’
The comment is believed to have been a reference to Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 which disappeared while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on 8 March.
After seeing the photo friends initially went along with the joke and wished him a good trip, but their messages quickly turned frantic when news of the crash emerged.
Posting underneath the picture they asked whether his flight was the one that had gone down and said that they were praying that it wasn’t true.
His cousin later posted the flight number underneath the picture and wrote: ‘Turns out our cousin Cor was on this plane.’
Yikes! Safe to say no one else is booking tickets on Malaysian Airlines. SMH.
Lord Disick hit that bottle a little too hard…
Shortly after reports last month that Kourtney kicked Scott out on Father’s Day, party boy Scott apparently tried to drown his sorrows in alcohol and ended up getting so sauced he needed medical attention. Via TMZ:
Scott Disick drank so much one night last month … he made a beeline for the hospital because his system was poisoned with booze.
Sources connected with Scott and the Kardashians tell TMZ … Scott went to a nightclub in The Hamptons on June 22. He began binge drinking. We got a pic of him with a beer in his hand but it seems he drank the harder stuff too. We’re told he was drunk out of his mind.
We’re told Scott told the friends who were with him … he was so messed up he felt someone had drugged him. So Scott — who could barely put a sentence together — went to the ER at Southampton Hospital.
We’re told Scott was admitted and tested for drugs but doctors concluded it was classic alcohol poisoning.
The incident occurred days AFTER Kourtney threw Scott out of their Hamptons rental. And the very day Scott went to the hospital … Kourtney bailed and took the kids to California, where they celebrated North West’s birthday.
Now the good news … Scott apparently had a wake up call, because we’re told he hasn’t had a drink since and is getting counseling from Pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr. .. the handsome minister who married Kim and Kanye.
Well at least he’s trying to get it together…again. Mason, Penny, and this little unborn bundle need their Daddy. We’re sure to see all of this played out for reality cams in a few months.
