From fighting for the love of Flavor Flav, to professional athlete girlfriend, to starring in her own show and putting her whole family on in just under a decade. Nikki “Hoopz” Alexander will star in her own Oxygen reality series starting later this year.
From what we’ve heard, it’ll be a family-focused show following the Kardashians/Braxtons model, focused on the the zany relationship between Hoopz and all her sisters. What… no mention of Flav, TI and Tiny, or Shaq?

This comedic docu-series gives viewers a look into Nikki “Hoopz” Alexander’s unique and chaotic modern family with her five younger sisters and her 11 nieces and nephews. With an unparalleled bond, the Alexander sisters, ages 24 to 31, have been together through thick and thin. Now at Nikki’s ranch in rural Knoxville, Tennessee, these city girls are fish-out-of-water as they try to fit in down south. Their relationships will be tested as Nikki, known as the “Mama Bear” of the family, pursues her dream of opening her own boutique, while also helping her sisters accomplish their own goals. Jenner had everyone calling him shady after he attended this weekend’s nuptials for stepsis Kim K’s ex Reggie Bush after skipping her I Do’s with Kanye West. Well he claims that’s just not true.
According to People.com reports:
When it comes to Brody Jenner’s relationship with stepsister Kim Kardashian, there’s no bad blood.
“Not going to Kim’s wedding was not me trying to diss her and Kanye,” Jenner told PEOPLE at Monday night’s 9th Annual All-Star Celebrity Kick-Off Party, where he later spun tracks as DJ. “I simply had a very last-minute thing. They didn’t want to let people know about their wedding early in advance, and I had already booked gigs in Chicago and some other places, so I was already working.”
And as far as the rumors of Kardashian not inviting Jenner’s girlfriend, Kaitlyn, to the festivities? Totally false.
“Of course Kim would let me bring my girlfriend if I wanted to,” Jenner said. “I’m her brother – it’s her wedding. I am allowed to bring someone if I want to.”
While Jenner may have missed out on Kim’s big day, he did attend the wedding of her ex-boyfriend Reggie Bush over the weekend.
“I’ve been friends with Reggie for a very long time,” Jenner explained. “I really love him and he’s one of my favorite people on this entire planet. I got to have a really close relationship with him through him and Kim being together.”
“The only opinion that matters in this situation is Kim’s, and me and her are good,” he says. “She is incredible.”
Awww that’s nice. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t think Reggie dodged a bullet, riiiiiight?

Kris Jenner has denied lurid claims that OJ Simpson is sending her love letters as he attempts to woo her from being bars in Nevada.
The Kardashian’s matriarch, Kris, 58, has reportedly described O.J.’s letters as her ‘worst nightmare’.
Indeed, despite her former husband Robert Kardashian’s friendship with O.J., it is claimed that the former footballer has become fixated with Kris during the six years he has spent behind bars in Nevada since his 2008 robbery conviction.
‘O.J.’s desperate for face time with Kris and has been laying it on thick in his letters, telling her how beautiful he thinks she is and what wonderful memories he has of their time together,’ revealed an insider to The National Enquirer.
‘Obviously her power and money is a huge attraction to him, as well as her looks – and he’s clearly got it in his head that her cash could get him an early release.’
However, another source that spoke to The National Enquirer has said that OJ’s letters are ‘Kris’ worst nightmare!
‘She wants no part of O.J., 67, but he’s pleading with her to visit him in jail and go over some very important issues that he wants to discuss with her in person.’
Hmmm…any guesses as to what those “important issues” could be? After all, it’s LONG been pointed out that one of these Kardashians is not like the others…

Viola Davis Speaks On Big Screen Opportunities For Black Actresses
The dire straits for Black actors in Hollywood are well documented. Even though it’s a source of greater opportunity for actors from across the pond, meaty roles aren’t exactly plentiful for Black stars. For this reason, you have Oscar winners and nominees like Viola Davis turning to the small screen to get the well-written, leading lady roles they’re deserving of. Via Washington Post:
Viola Davis’s comments about why she was returning to television as the lead in “How to Get Away With Murder,” a new ABC series, were a sharp shot at what the movies have to offer even the best, most beloved African American actresses.
“I have gotten so many wonderful film roles, but I’ve gotten even more film roles where I haven’t been the show,” Viola Davis said at the Television Critics Association press tour in Los Angeles. “It’s like I’ve been invited to a really fabulous party only to hold up the wall. I wanted to be the show.”
It was a striking admission from an actress who has been twice nominated for Academy Awards: for “Doubt,” where she played a mother whose son may be the object of clergy sexual abuse, and “The Help,” in which she was a domestic worker who finds her voice as a writer. Davis has two Tony Awards and three Drama Desk Awards for her stage performances.
But despite these accomplishments, she said she wanted more out of the characters she was given.
“I spent too much time in my career just trying to force writers to write for me in a way that was bold,” she told critics.
Davis thanked Pete Norwalk, the creator of “How to Get Away With Murder,” for giving her a role that allowed her to be alternately commanding, personally messy and sexual. As a law professor whose ruthless attitude (and catchy course title) have perhaps too much of an influence on her students, Davis gets to chew scenery in flashy classroom sequences, display her professional acumen in the courtroom and balance a husband and a lover.
Davis has been blunt before about her career prospects, even at times when she might appear to be at the top of her game. “I’m a 46-year-old black woman who really doesn’t look like Halle Berry, and Halle Berry is having a hard time,” Davis mused in a roundtable of Oscar-nominated actresses from 2012, when she was in contention for “The Help.”
Hey, even Halle Berry is on television these days! At least Black actresses have SOME venue to get worthy roles…but why is Hollywood so reluctant to put them in the good roles on the big screen?
