Apollo Denies Cheating On Phaedra
Apollo says he’s not dipping it low and spreading it wide behind his southern belle’s back.
According to TMZ:
Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Apollo Nida is NOT a dirty, cheating scoundrel … so he says.
There have been a slew of stories circulating he’s guilty as charged. But Nida tells us … there’s a perfectly good reason why he was spotted in South Carolina on Valentine’s Day weekend with another woman — NOT his wife, Phaedra Parks.
Apollo says the woman was his friend’s sister … a bartender at the club where he was paid to appear. Nida says it’s all perfectly harmless … the majority of his fan base is made up of women … so naturally that’s who he parties with. He insists he’s 100% faithful, and there are no sex tapes, no [nekkid] pics, no pregnant baby mama to suggest otherwise.
Apollo actually has much bigger fish to fry. He’s facing federal charges for bank fraud and identity theft.
Yeah Apollo better deny deny deny…he needs all of Phaedra’s legal contacts to keep his azz out of jail!

Race Matters: “Dear Black Artists, Your Services Are No Longer Needed…” Satirical Letter Addresses Whitewashed Music Charts
The 2013 Hot 100 Charts were No Country For Black Artists but if it’s up to satirist Sebastien Elkouby, black music ain’t going out without a fight. Elkouby recently wrote a searing “open letter” drawing attention to the music industry’s failure promote diversity last year but he also makes some great points about what’s happening with film and TV as well. Check out an excerpt via Rap Rehab:
Dear black artists,
We regret to inform you that the need for your services will soon come to an end as we enter a critical restructuring period. Fortunately, after having spent nearly a century meticulously studying your art, language, fashion, and lifestyle, we have learned enough to confidently move forward without your assistance. We thank you for your contributions but have decided to make some necessary changes as a result of your decreasing value. Focus groups show that consumers are looking for more relatable images. While 2013 marked the first time in Billboard’s 55 year history that there were no black artists on top of the Hot 100 chart, this was a great year for us with Justin Timberlake, Robin Thicke, and Macklemore claiming the #1 spot on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart, proving that market demands are shifting. Consequently, in the next few months, we will be gradually phasing out your positions as we finalize this reorganization. In the meantime, we ask you to continue with business as usual, training your replacements Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber until instructed otherwise.

In the second blatantly racist incident at Ole Miss University this week, an African-American honor student says she was attacked by fellow student who threw alcohol bottles at her while spewing racial slurs.

An Ole Miss honor student standing outside her residence hall was the apparent victim of a racially motivated attack.
Kiesha Reeves said she went out to her car to get something when a black truck full of loud, laughing people [whom] she could not identify pulled up and tossed an alcoholic beverage at her, according to the Ole Miss University newspaper web site.
“It all happened so fast and I was so shocked that I couldn’t really see any faces, only the outline of the black truck,” she said. “I heard the laughter and words ‘black n****r’ very distinctly.”
Moments earlier Reeves roommate had told her of seeing a black truck driving around yelling racial epithets.
Police believe the incident may have been part of an earlier act of vandalism to the state of Civil Rights leader James Meredith.
Reeves said the incident is not completely out of the norm. The residence hall she lives in suffers from periodic racial tensions, she said.
First nooses around statues of civil rights leaders and now this? These students need to be reprimanded ASAP.

Jockin’ Jay-Z: Gwyneth Paltrow Gushes Over How “Incredible” Hov Is, Says Son Moses Wants To Be More Like Uncle Jay!!!
Where is Beyoncé? You better get ya girl B! Gwyneth seems to need a reminder that she has a husband of her own to gush about.
According to Daily Mail reports:
Chris Martin may be the frontman of one of the world’s most successful rock bands but his son Moses has no desire to follow in his footsteps.
Instead the seven year old, whose mother is Gwyneth Paltrow, wants to emulate his beloved ‘Uncle Jay’, aka rapper Jay-Z and develop a career in hip-hop.
Speaking in the latest issue of South Africa’s Fair Lady magazine, Paltrow praised Jay as an ‘incredible person’ and explained: ‘I think my son would like to be more like Uncle Jay! He asked me the other day how he can look more like Uncle Jay. I said I would have to think about it!’
The proud mother added: ‘He is an amazing hiphop little guy. You can’t believe it.
‘I had a note from his teacher the other day. She said, “Dear Mrs. Martin, I would like tell you that all the children sang me ‘Happy Birthday’ today and afterwards Moses did a spontaneous rap that was actually brilliant.”‘
And Gwyneth wouldn’t mind if Moses grew up to be just like Jay Z, who is married to her close pal Beyonce Knowles. ‘
She told the publication: ‘He really has mastered the art of being his own being.’
‘He is an incredible person, and so I find it really inspiring.’
While Oscar winner Gwyneth has found huge success in her acting career, neither Moses, nor his nine year old sister Apple, wish to emulate her when they grow up.
Gwyneth said: ‘Neither of my kids has said that they want to act. They are both very into music and they both express that they want to do music in some way, but not acting.’
Indeed, Apple is more inclined to copy her dad, with Gwyneth saying: ‘My daughter is more into indie rock. She wants to have a band.’

“I had the worst 2012, I thought my life was over,” she tells Life & Style.
That was the year her then-husband, NFL star Chad Ochocinco, was charged with domestic battery for head-butting her during a fight, for which he ended up serving seven days of a 30-day jail sentence.
“It happened so publicly, and then the passing of my brother-in-law,” she shares. “But that entire incident [with Chad] led me to where I’m at now.”
Luckily, the seven-and-a-half months pregnant beauty is now in a loving relationship with Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Carl Crawford [pictured below], and they’re expecting their first child together.
