Dwyane Wade enlisted some help with his proposal to Gabrielle Union.
The three boys that the Miami Heat guard is raising, his two sons and a nephew, all were part of the engagement surprise, Wade said Sunday when he spoke out about the big news for the first time.
- His youngest son Zion held a sign with her name.
- His nephew Dahveon Morris’ sign said ”Will you.”
- And his oldest son Zaire’s sign read ”marry us?”
Bewildered, Union turned to Wade and saw him on bended knee, then realized what was happening. An 8 1/2-carat cushion cut diamond sealed the deal, and with that, Wade was an engaged man again.
”I planned it,” Wade said. ”No concrete for my knee. I planned it very well.”

Animal Behavior: Swedish Company Invents Headset That Translates Your Dog’s Thoughts Into Words [Video]
How much do you want to know what your dog is thinking? Enough to pay $65 for a translator?
According to NY Daily News reports:
A company has launched a crowdfunding campaign for a canine headset that will translate what man’s best friend is thinking into spoken English.
A small research lab called NSID based in Sweden believes it can monitor, isolate and translate a dog’s thought patterns.
So far, NSID claims it can identify the pattern for “I’m hungry,” “I’m tired”, and “who are you?” And, following this early breakthrough, the team is seeking $10,000 from crowd-funding site Indiegogo to help it develop an EEG headset that can monitor your pet’s thought patterns and then relay them as spoken words via its integrated speaker.
So far spoken translations are only available in English, but the team is developing versions that speak Mandarin, French and Spanish, too. NSID also hopes to be able to isolate, identify and translate further doggy thoughts as the project progresses.
But for now, an early-bird pledge of $65 will get initial backers a single sensor version of No More Woof which will be able to identify and translate three thought patterns, which its creators hope to ship in April next year.
Meanwhile a pledge of $300 will secure a two-sensor version of the device capable of translating “four or more” thought patterns.
This isn’t the first time a project has sought to reveal what your furry four-legged friends are feeling or thinking: in 2002 the Bowlingual gadget was awarded the Ig Nobel prize and in 2009 toymaker Takara Tomy brought it to market in Japan.

When Rachel Bradshaw-Bean told teachers she was raped in her Texas high school’s band room, she was promptly kicked out of school for “public lewdness,” the now 20-year-old said.
That was three years ago, but experts say schools still aren’t doing a good enough job protecting students from rape and hearing their stories when victims do come forward.
“High schools across the nation are failing to live up to their responsibility to address sexual assault and harassment,” Neena Chaudhry, an attorney for the National Women’s Law Center, a Washington, D.C. nonprofit, told NBC News.
“There’s no excuse.”

In 2010, Bradshaw-Bean was a 17-year-old senior at Henderson High School, waiting for Key Club to start, when she says a boy, a junior, attacked her in the band room.
“I was crying. I pulled my pants up and went to the bathroom to clean myself up,” she told NBC News of the incident.
Bradshaw-Bean immediately told an assistant band director, who told her to “work it out with the boy,” she said. She and her family fought the school for not taking action, but Bradshaw-Bean was eventually kicked out and sent to a school for students with discipline problems, along with her accused rapist.
“I don’t want anyone else to have to go through what I did,” she told NBC News, explaining how the school made her feel like a “criminal” for reporting rape.
Experts suggest schools simply don’t know what policies to follow when it comes to sexual violence. The Department of Education periodically issues letters to schools to remind officials about Title IX, a federal law that prohibits sex discrimination in education. But this year, the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights has received 59 complaints related to violations of the law, up from 33 in 2012, according to NBC News.
They don’t know which policies to follow??? How bout the policy that says rapists will be arrested!

Doctors Keeping Pregnant Woman On Life Support Against Husband’s Wishes
A Texas paramedic has made the difficult decision to request that his pregnant wife be taken off of life support, but doctors are refusing his wishes in the interest of the couple’s unborn child.

Erick and Marlise Munoz, both paramedics in Tarrant County, Texas, had talked a lot about end-of-life decisions, including the importance of do-not-resuscitate orders. So when doctors put her on life support after suffering a suspected pulmonary embolism last month, her husband says, he knew her wishes.
Marlise, 33, had lost a brother years before and told her husband she never wanted to be kept alive by machines, he says.
But Marlise is pregnant, and Texas state law puts the rights of a fetus over the wishes of its mother. The baby Marlise is carrying is now closer to 18 weeks, but Munoz says doctors have no idea what effects the oxygen deprivation Marlise has suffered will have if the baby is delivered.
“It’s hard to reach the point where you wish your wife’s body would stop,” Munoz, also in his 30s, told ABC News’ Dallas-Fort Worth affiliate WFAA-TV.
“They don’t know how long the baby was without nutrients and oxygen,” he said. “But I’m aware what challenges I might face ahead.”
Marlise, who with her husband has a 1-year-old son, has been on life support at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth since Nov. 26, when Munoz found her collapsed on the living room floor. He performed CPR and then called 911. She never regained consciousness and her husband says she is now “simply a shell.”
But the fetus still has a normal heartbeat.

On finding herself:
I’ve discovered myself a little more, personality wise just being put through certain situations, whether being in the spotlight, heartbreak, friends coming and going, family. I’ve grown and I’ve matured and I kind of like that.Even going back to the haters, it’s messed up what they say but that’s made me stronger and it’s built me into who I am today and I am completely fine with that.”

Poor thang! Steve Harvey’s ex-wife isn’t having a very Merry Christmas. As BOSSIP previously reported the two have been embroiled in legal issues but now we’ve learned she’s been arrested and won’t be out for some time!

Steve Harvey’s ex-wife, Mary Vaughn Woolridge, has been arrested in contempt of court, Fox 4 in Dallas-Fort Worth reports. Woolridge, who was married to Harvey for 16 years before their marriage ended in divorce in 2005, is said to have leaked information about the divorce proceedings in a series of online videos, in direct violation of a gag order.
Harvey and Woolridge were embroiled in a bitter custody battle over their son, who is now 16 years old, in which Harvey prevailed. “Am I angry? Yes,” Vaughn told Fox Dallas-Fort Worth. “I missed six years of my son’s life and I can’t get those years back.”
“I’m just a mother who wants to have access to my son without interference,” she said. “I’m tired of getting pulled down to McKinney courthouse every time I say ‘Boo.’ I’m not going to be silenced.”
Harvey has custody of the couple’s teenage son.
The videos posted by Woolridge “contain false, misleading, derogatory, defamatory, disparaging and malicious information about Mr. Harvey, his wife, and children by his ex-wife, Mary Vaughn Woolridge,” reads a statement from Harvey’s attorney.
Woolridge is set to be released from jail on January 17.

A Cobb County teenager was arrested for allegedly stealing 108 condoms from Walmart, police said.
Corey Christopher Young, 18, of Marietta, was caught at the Barrett Parkway store with three boxes of 36 condoms each, valued at $42.82, according to an arrest warrant obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
“Said accused did exit the store with the merchandise in his pants and hoodie, passing all pay counters,” the arrest warrant states.
Young was arrested Wednesday night, charged with theft by shoplifting and booked into the Cobb County jail, according to booking records. He was released early Thursday on his own recognizance, jail records show.
Guess he had big plans for the ho-lidays…SMH

Son Has Mom Killed For Her Insurance Policy And Bank Accounts
According to Chicago Tribune:
A West Side man arranged the murder of his mother, a well-known owner of a beauty salon in Uptown, to gain access to more than $90,000 from her bank accounts and the proceeds from two of her life insurance policies, authorities said today.
Qawmane Wilson, 24, of the 0-100 block of North Mayfield Avenue in the North Austin neighborhood, has been charged with murder and home invasion in the death of his mother, Yolanda Holmes, 45, in September of 2012, authorities said.
Charged with Wilson are Eugene Spencer, 22, of the 6100 block of South Rockwell Street, who prosecutors said killed Holmes, and Loriana Johnson, 23, of the 300 block of East 131st Place, who served as Spencer’s driver.
All three were ordered held without bail today by Judge Adam Bourgeois, Jr., who called the slaying a “heinous act.”
Holmes, the owner of the Nappy Headzsalon, was killed about 4:15 a.m. Sept. 2 at her home in the 1000 block of West Montrose Avenue, authorities said. An autopsy showed she died of multiple stab wounds and a gunshot wound to her head.

Wilson was arrested Sunday after a police investigation determined he had arranged to “have his mother murdered,” police said. He was charged with murder and home invasion.
Assistant State’s Attorney Maura White said Wilson, who has his mother’s name tattooed on his right shoulder according to court records, liquidated his mother’s bank accounts, valued at over $90,000, a week after her death. He was also the beneficiary of two of her life insurance policies.
Cell phone records revealed that Wilson called Spencer and Johnson “before, during and after the murder,” White said. Both Wilson and Spencer admitted to their roles in the scheme, she said.
Spencer, arrested Monday, is charged with first degree murder, home invasion, and aggravated discharge of a firearm. He shot Holmes, according to a statement from the Chicago Police Department Office of News Affairs.
Johnson, who police said drove Spencer to and from the crime scene, was also arrested Monday and charged with murder and home invasion.
For a couple of thousands he killed the person who gave him life. SMFH.
