Sheree Whitfield To Appear On ‘Iyanla Fix My Life’

Sheree Whitfield and her ex-husband, Bob, will be making an appearance on the upcoming second season of “Iyanla, Fix My Life.” Breaking the news Tuesday, March 5, OWN confirmed that the couple will discuss life on and after “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

“Iyanla works with reality star Sheree Whitfield on her relationship with her ex-husband, former NFL star Bob Whitfield. Iyanla sits down with the couple to talk about the role of co-parenting in spite of their contentious divorce,” OWN reported Tuesday.

As seen on past seasons of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Sheree Whitfield divorced Bob, took him to court over unpaid child support and worked hard to maintain her family. In recent months, Whitfield has worked on efforts like a jewelry and accessory line and has teased a possible fitness DVD effort. She is also working on her home, Chateau Sheree.

According to OWN, a lot of secrets will be uncovered on the upcoming airing of “Iyanla, Fix My Life.”

“Secrets are revealed, truths are uncovered and emotions run high as Sheree and Bob reveal how they really feel about each other,” reports OWN.

“Iyanla, Fix My Life” premieres Saturday, April 13 at 9 p.m. on OWN.

Former NFL Players Talk Another Recently Retired Player Out Of Suicide

An NFL linebacker recently retired, and as has happened so many times before, to so many players who have difficulty making the transition from playing to regular life, a series of frightening thoughts began to enter into his mind.

The former player thought about killing himself. It wasn’t the first time he had thoughts of suicide, but these thoughts seemed more serious. The player’s wife became so concerned for not just his safety, but hers, that she contacted the NFL.

Two ex-players from the NFL’s new league initiative that uses former players to coach recently retired ones responded. The three former players spent three days together. The players themselves bonded over having been in the NFL and talked bluntly about how difficult it is to leave the game and the money and the accolades and become a normal person again.

At the end of the three days, the player was no longer talking about taking his own life but instead was talking about the future. The wife of the player sent an emotional email to the NFL and the two players who talked a player away from the brink. It read:

“I just wanted to send out a HUGE THANK YOU to the two of you for what you did for my husband over the weekend! He is so enthusiastic about seeing the light at the end of a tunnel, and it absolutely would NOT have been possible without your support and this fabulous program. I honestly think it is the most worthwhile thing I’ve seen the NFL do in all of the years he was involved. He summed it up by saying, ‘I think those few days saved a couple of lives in that room.’ I don’t profess to know or understand the small brotherhood of NFL alumni, but you guys did a phenomenal job in reaching out and changing lives. [Former player's name redacted] I know you spent years as an NFL great, but perhaps this is your best work, the thing for which you should be most proud. [Former player's name redacted] thank you for that initial phone call and email — you made a difference in our lives. As a wife, I thank you for doing something I couldn’t. Please express to whomever the powers that be what great importance this program bears. It is an integral part of the transitioning process and if you ever have a board for families or wives involvement, count me in — this is the best thing the NFL has put money towards in years. THANK YOU and I hope to meet you two in person one day. Until then…”

That is a truly amazing story. Shout out to those players who took the time to help this brother get his life together. There is no telling how his survival will impact the lives of his friends and family.

The NFL runs what it calls ambassador and transition programs, but it is the latter program that is extremely interesting. It consists of recently retired players who go through extensive training and actually become certified to help in the areas of mental and behavioral health.

The program is run by former NFL player Troy Vincent, who said one of the main goals is to give “a sense of hope” to players having difficulty both in the game and once retired.

“We want to support both active and retired players,” said Vincent, who’s currently a league vice president.

Humane Society Finds Dog Fur In Faux Fur Marc Jacobs Jackets

The Humane Society was on PETA patrol recently when an investigation into NYC retail giant Century 21′s line of “faux fur” winter jackets by designer Marc Jacobs returned some not-so-animal-friendly results.

It’s a faux fur fakeout — Marc Jacobs jackets being sold at Century 21 department stores actually contain dog hair.
Even if the labels say otherwise, the “faux fur” garments sold by the retailer are made with the fur of cuddly Chinese raccoon dogs, a breed that’s often skinned alive for its soft coat.

Tests arranged as part of an undercover probe by the Humane Society and state Assembly member Linda Rosenthal (D-Manhattan) identified various items hawked by Century 21 as containing real canine fur.

“Anybody who doesn’t want to buy animal fur should be very angry that a product that they’re trying to avoid is being misrepresented as a product they may want to buy,” said Pierre Grzybowski of the Humane Society’s Fur Free Campaign.

Century 21 issued a statement pointing the finger at the manufacturers, although state law — introduced by Rosenthal — requires labeling of all garments as “real fur” or “faux fur.”

“Century 21 does not create garment labels, the manufacturers do,” the retailer said.

Hmmm. Even though these aren’t the type of dogs that most people have in their homes, they ARE still dogs technically. Would this affect your decision to flaunt your faux fur?

He ordered her to rest.” The mother of Kanye West’s baby’s been photographed working out daily to control her weight and appearing at promotional events galore. “She’s very responsible about meeting all her appointments. But she realizes this is something serious.”

We’ve already heard the official news that Bron Bron and his long-time boo-thang Savannah Brinson will become husband and wife in Holy matrimony this coming September.

Roberts, 24 was busted by cops in Godfrey, Illinois after 28 storage units were attacked and electronics stolen. Police are hoping his distinctive look will help them track down other stolen items they’ve yet to recover that they believe he’s sold. He’s facing three felony burglary charges.

“It’s the oddest thing I’ve ever seen in 20-plus years of law enforcement,” Captain Mike Dixon of the Madison County Sheriff’s Department said of the tattoo. “I’ve seen horns on foreheads and stars on necks, but I’ve never seen a skull on a face. I can’t explain it. It’s just odd.”

He added, “There probably isn’t another guy out there with that tattoo, so if they bought something from someone with a skull tattoo, it’s probably this guy.”

According to TMZ reports:

Chris Brown has a message for Rihanna … and any other guy who might want a piece of her … back off, because “THAT IS MY P**$Y!”

Chris was partying at Emerson Theatre in Hollywood early Thursday AM when he grabbed the mic from the DJ and went off on how to talk to your woman — and the bizarre rant was all caught on tape.

Chris said, “You GOTTA say that one thing to her … Don’t make me have to tell you again, that’s my p***y baby! … so you better not give it away!”

Chris rambled on … “So every person in this motherf**king building, if you got a bad bitch you better say that s**t to her, or she might f**k another n***a.”

Last week Chris arrived in Ghana he reportedly blew off several radio appearances despite being paid $1 million, and got put on blast from the local media for smoking onstage.

Despite the above, the company’s decision to pay Chris Brown an alleged whooping $1 million to be part of the official unveiling of the ‘Hope City Project’ which the latter failed to attend and also stage a mega concert in Accra have been enormously criticized.

Many of the decision’s critics have over the few weeks leading to yester night’s concert questioned the corresponding benefits rlg as a brand would derive in giving out such a huge money to Chris Brown.

We’ve heard the guys from rlg mention that Chris Brown would promote their brand via appearing at the sod cutting ceremony and also staging the concert.

$1 million may not be huge to Chris Brown and he would probably use it to dye his hair but to a young Africa company established in a poor third world country which sometimes goes to seek an equivalent amount in foreign aid, it surely matters.

Few hours to the Chris Brown concert, he showed up in Ghana with a frown face. The organizers were supposed to be the ones carrying the frown face since he failed to show up for the all important unveiling and sod cutting ceremony which the President of Ghana (John Mahama) even attended.

Chris Brown’s arrival was received with bliss by many Ghanaians of which some tweeted along the lines ‘at least he is here now so let’s go and enjoy his electrifying performance’. He failed to be in the country on time for arranged radio interviews but what can we say? He has our $1 million…

On his arrival at the airport, Chris Brown failed to hop into a luxurious Limousine with a fancy dressed chauffeur which was arranged to pick him up with his people saying, ‘he is not keen on Limousines’. According to them, Chris Brown sees Limousines ‘as a ride for prom’, GhanaCelerbrties.Com has learned.

Meanwhile, just last month in Hawaii, Chris Brown partied with his girlfriend in a Limo on her birthday, GhanaCelebrities.Com has uncovered. We guess he was taking the piss…

His performance at the concert was amazing; he brought his usual electrifying stage craft and energy to Ghana. He performed several of his hit songs with patrons singing along.

His great performance which lasted over an hour was characterized with vulgar language which Ghanaians are not used to…

Instead of promoting the rLG or throwing in a word or two about the brand, he decided to take the piss again by promoting the use of marijuana when he knows or ought to know this is an illegal substance in many countries including Ghana.

Whiles performing one of his songs, he happily asked if there were weed smokers in Ghana and proceeded to say “if anybody’s tripping on you smoking, f**k them”.

He pulled out a rolled ‘joint’ and smoked it live on stage… No Ghanaian entertainer dare do this openly in Ghana and go free. The police would have been on him or the crowd would consider it extensively offensive. However, Chris Brown came, did it and flew away!

The concert was great but the piss take by Chris Brown leading and during the concert was absurd! Surely, no one pays another $1 million to be disrespected…
