VH1 Hip Hop Honors Essential Viewing For Fans Of 90’s Era
If you’re still stuck on the golden era of hip-hop you are in luck!
Last night, VH1 presented “HIP HOP HONORS: THE 90’S GAME CHANGERS” at Paramount Studios in Hollywood, CA. The 90’s style block party on the lot on Brooklyn St. celebrated the golden era of hip-hop and the moment when hip-hop became mainstream across pop culture. Hosted by Regina Hall, the special honoring Mariah Carey, Jermaine Dupri, Martin Lawrence, Master P, and Hype Williams, will air this evening, Monday, September 18th at 9PM ET/PT on VH1.
BOSSIP was in the building for the show’s taping Sunday and we promise you it’s excellent viewing.

One of our favorite moments had to be when DJ Khaled’ and his son Asahd Khaled took the stage to honor Mariah Carey, who preformed “Honey.” Check out a clip below:
The performance featured a tricked out jet ski, a golden ‘honey’ helicopter and special appearances by Da Brat, Jermaine Dupri, Mase and The Lox for a truly special moment.

“Panda” Rapper Skipped Out On Concert After Pocketing $20K
A Greek step show events company has sued Desiigner for not turning up for a performance even though he got paid and made diva-like demands.
Atlanta Greek Picnic Inc. sued Desiigner and his management late last month for fraud and breach of contract, alleging the New York rapper bilked them out of more than $55,000 when he pulled a no-show at their annual picnic last year, according to court papers obtained by BOSSIP.
Desiigner, who was born Sidney Selby, was booked to perform at the Atlanta Greek Picnic at Morehouse College on June 10, 2016. Atlanta Greek Picnic paid Desiigner a $20,000 deposit fee through his agent, Jennifer Davis, as well as a $4,000 booking fee, according to court docs.
In total, Atlanta Greek Picnic agreed to pay Desiigner $40,000 plus pay for his travel, hotel and ground transportation.

But 10 days before the show, the picnic company said Desiigner’s people called and demanded another $35,000 for the performance, even though that wasn’t part of their deal. Atlanta Greek Picnic balked at Desiigner’s demand, and the rapper never turned up for the performance.
The company said it lost money in promoting the event and had its reputation ruined because of Desiigner’s no show. To date, Atlanta Greek Picnics said it’s out at least $55,000.
Atlanta Greek Picnic’s CEO Tiwa Williams said the company has thrown the event for nearly 10 years and has hosted the likes of Rick Ross and 2 Chainz in recent years.
“A lot of Greeks were upset about it,” Works told BOSSIP. “It’s unfortunate that they took the money and never showed. It’s a year later and nothing has been done.”
Works said that they’ve tried to settle the matter out of court, but to no avail.
We’ve reached out to Desiigner’s management company for comment.

For years now the Jay-Z and Beyoncé have been putting their artsy fartsy steez on full display in the form of the visuals for their music. According to PageSix, the new parents were allowed to view artist Sade Barnette’s newest exhibit before it even opened.
“Compland” an artistic amalgamation of “Compton” and “Oakland” opened last week at Fort Gansevoort in NYC but Bey and Jay got a look a bit early.
According to the report, one of the most interesting pieces in the exhibit is a 500-page FBI dossier about Sadie’s father, Rodney Barnette.
Why did the FBI have a 500-page dossier about Rodney Barnette? Because Rodney Barnette founded the Compton chapter of the Black Panther party back in 1968.
Yeah.

Woman Gets Shot By Baby’s Dad With Gun “I Don’t Think He’s Gonna Do Anything”
A heartbreaking news story out of Queens is leaving everyone with unanswered questions. On Sunday at 2 a.m., a man named Ray Garcia says he went to his sister’s house, a woman name Luz Cuza, after he said his sister and her newborn son’s father had been arguing. Garcia says Cruza gestured for him to go inside. Robert Rodriguez, the father of her 4-month-old had been sitting on the porch with a gun and a magazine on his lap. He complied and went in the house.
Seconds later, Garcia heard a shot and ran outside, where Cuza was reportedly gasping for air. The New York Post spoke to the brother.
“I looked at her and said, ‘What are you doing?’ She said, ‘I don’t think he’s gonna do nothing.’ So I went around house,’” Garcia said.
“I started crying. I told her, ‘I’m gonna save you, I’m gonna save you,’” he told his dying sister.
“She took a deep breath, but couldn’t talk. I started knocking on everybody’s door — boom boom boom — to get someone to call an ambulance.”
David Cuza, another brother of the victim, vowed to be at suspect’s perp walk.
“I want to know when they’re going to transport him (Rodriguez),” said Cuza, 28. “I want to know if he’s got anything to say to the family. We just want to know why he did it. Why would you kill the mother of the child?”
Wow, so sad. The couple reportedly had a prior incident on record where the police broke up a domestic. The boyfriend has been caught by police, according to the Daily News after trying to hide out at his mother’s home.

It’s all fun and games until someone’s behind bars. At least that’s what Kevin Hart wants his greedy smash partner to know.
After coming clean about stepping out on his wife of one year Eniko Parrish to circumvent a blackmail attempt by one of the women he had extramarital relations with…Kevin is looking to bring the full hammer of the law down on the culprit.
According to TMZ, sources say Kevin had a lengthy conversation with law enforcement by phone today, letting them know everything he knew about the people responsible for the extortion attempt. Apparently, there is more than one person looking for a come up off the video.
And as for Miss “MoMo,” we hear that even though she’s suspect number one, she swears she had no idea this video was on the way, and she’s just as much of a victim as Kevin. She and her lawyer even claim that she’s ready to take a lie detector test to prove it — provided Kevin and crew come up off a $420,000 check for her time.
Sounds SUPER innocent, right?
Anyway, what do you think? As much as we feel for Kevin…if he didn’t open this door there’d be no room for and extortion attempt like this to happen.

Fox News Contributor Claims Host Charles Payne Raped Her And Pressured Her Into An Affair
Fox Business Host Charles Payne Accused Of Sexual Assault
Fox Business Host Charles Payne is under fire today as a former Fox contributor is accusing him of sexual assault.
37-year-old Scottie Nell Hughes claims that she was coerced into a two-year extramarital affair with Payne, prompted by a sexual assault he committed inside her hotel room in July 2013.
Scottie, who is also married, says the 56-year-old host frequently held the prospect of getting her fired from Fox News over her head to get his way with her. She has accused him of sexual harassment in the past, but a new lawsuit filing on Monday is the first mention of a sexual assault.
According to Daily Mail, Hughes claims that the two began working together as contributors on Hannity, but it wasn’t long before Payne sought ways to get closer to her.
Payne offered to mentor Hughes in the months afterward, and around July 9, Payne began pressuring her to give him her hotel room number over several hours.
She relented and agreed to a private conversation with him that night, the suit claims, but when he came to her room he began to sexually assault her, saying ‘You know you want this.’
‘You’ve been teasing me since that first time on set, wearing those short dresses over those long legs with your big boobs hanging out,’ he allegedly said.
Despite Hughes repeatedly telling Payne ‘no,’ he continued and she stopped fighting back, fearing ‘irreparable physical harm,’ the suit claims.
‘After he raped her, Payne disturbingly announced on his way out, “This changes things.”‘ the suit says.
In the years following the incident, Hughes says Payne repeatedly pressured her into an ongoing sexual affair, telling her that she needed a man at Fox News to “got to bat” for her at the network — especially if she wanted to get promoted to a full-time contributor position and get paid for her appearances, rather than commenting for free as she had been doing for years.
SMH. We are not ones to victim blame over here by ANY means. But something seems off about being blackmailed into an affair, all to keep what is essentially a volunteer position…doesn’t it? But given how it goes down at that Network…it may not be all that far fetched.
