Michael Strahan On Vacation During Hurricane Harvey Coverage

Is Michael Strahan too busy relaxing to cover Hurricane Harvey on-the-ground in Houston?

Being that Strahan is from Houston himself, ABC thought it would be an amazing idea for him to help cover the tragedy currently underway in his hometown. But the way Strahan’s vacation was set up…he wasn’t letting something like half his city being underwater interfere with his off time. At least that’s what an anonymous source is sharing with Page Six.

“ABC News asked Strahan to come home from his vacation. He’s from Houston. But he refused and is still floating around on a yacht in Greece somewhere. ABC is really upset with him.”

An additional source stated that ABC execs “just cannot believe he didn’t come back.”

However, other reps for Strahan and GMA say that is NOT the case. Senior executive producer Michael Corn, tells Page Six:

“I spoke with [Strahan] every day. Michael was very clear he wanted to be part of the coverage, and we decided the best plan was for him to lead the charge covering the recovery.”

Strahan’s own representative said:

“They did not ask him to come back. He’s been in direct contact with his family — and thankfully they are doing fine. He is headed [to Houston] next week and will help in any way that he can.”

Hmmm. So which version of the story is accurate? Either way, it’s great that Strahan and all his family members are safe.

Crystal Meth Smuggled Into NYC Via Penis-Shaped Candles

When your occupation is to traffick drugs from one place to another, you have to be pretty inventive with the ways in which you conceal your contraband. We’re not speaking from experience or anything, but we’ve seen lots of movies. Promise.

Anyway, according to NYPost, drug dealers in New York took an erotic approach to keeping the fuzz off of their trail.

The DEA, Homeland Security and the NYPD busted a ring of drug smugglers who had stuffed penis-shaped candles full of crystal meth to sell in the city.

“DEA has seen drugs smuggled in numerous ways: concealed in puppies, lollipops, furniture, and produce,” said DEA Special Agent-in- Charge James J. Hunt.

“But secreting a million dollars’ worth of methamphetamine in wax candles of various shapes is shocking.”

Lol @ “various shapes”. Coy cop?

The men were planning on moving 1,300 pounds of meth in the candles.

We’ve heard the D described as “drugs” before, but this is a whole ‘nother level.

Kobe Bryant Takes On Hollywood Bowl

Kobe Bryant has been doing a lot since his retirement from the Los Angeles Lakers and the NBA. He’s seemingly had a lot of spare time now that he isn’t all wrapped up in his basketball practices, and he’s been doing some things that not many players venture to after their glory days. Like most, Kobe wrote a heartfelt letter to the city of LA and all his people in order to announce his retirement, and that letter has since become pretty famous.

Kobe took the stage at one of the most known venues in Los Angeles and read his now-famous retirement letter, “Dear Basketball,” accompanied by the L.A. Philharmonic Orchestra.

Kim K Upset That Beyoncé Hasn’t Shown Thanks For Baby Gifts

This could be a bunch of bullsh!t, but for the most part we can all agree that Beyoncé is probably not the biggest Kim Kardashian fan, so it seems plausible.

Word is that Kimmy Cakes is none-too-pleased with Beyoncé’s alleged rudeness toward her according to RadarOnline.

Kim is said to have send a huge bouquet of flowers and some gifts for the twins to Beyoncé and Jay-Z shortly after their birth was announced. However let a “source” tell it:

“But she’s had no word of thanks and she’s steaming mad, saying it’s the final straw and a huge insult she simply shouldn’t have to tolerate.”

The purported close Kardashian confidant went on to say:

“Kim insists it’s Beyonce’s who’s been the aggressor in their feud; she’s tried countless times to mend fences – including meeting up back in January – but the simple reality is that Bey considers Kim trash and beneath her.

Fine Prisoner Gets Modeling Contract For Being Fine

Message to all the sexy people of the world: get arrested. Y’all stay making DUIs into modeling contracts.

The latest prison bae to turn their mug shot into head shots is Mekhi Alante Lucky, a 20-year-old who was arrested in North Carolina for speeding and driving a stolen vehicle. Lucky’s sturdy jaw and mismatched eyes caught everyone’s attention and his pic went viral. He evaded any jail time and in an even more prosperous turn of events, ended up landing a modeling contract. Last week, Lucky signed to agency St. Claire Modeling in New York.

Lucky’s unique look comes from his eye condition called, “heterochromia” that causes his irises to have different colors. This last arrest wasn’t his first, either, the 5-foot-10 model has been booked for assault and breaking and entering, as well as resisting a public officer, according to the Daily Mail.

Rihanna announced a couple weeks ago that she would be venturing into the world of beauty, and there’s finally an official announcement about when the line is going to drop. Rih spilled the tea about her FENTY BEAUTY line and revealed that it drops at midnight on September 8th. The line will be available at fentybeauty.com, as well as specific beauty retailers like Sephora.

Before announcing the drop, Rihanna posted a video on her socials that was slightly confusing, but was apparently just her revealing the names of the shades to come in her beauty line.

Viral Video Of West Yorkshire Woman’s Racist Muslim Rant

The world appears to be unraveling one racist rant at a time.

According to MetroUK, a woman was caught on camera spewing vile hate speech a group of Muslim folks who were minding their own damn business, visiting a Dewsbury Cemetary in West Yorkshire.

This spoiled mayonnaise dollop leaned her lil’ square head out of her punk azz Mini Cooper and let loose her bigoted yoppa.

The West Yorshire Police Department does NOT taking incidents like this lightly. There are currently looking to identify the hateful Game of Thrones reject so they can bring her to justice.

Superintendent Roger Essell, of Kirklees District Police, said: ‘This was an incredibly distressing experience and our enquiries are very much underway to identify those involved.

‘The victims were understandably left shocked and upset following this incident.

‘We take a robust stance against any kind of racial abuse.’

Venus Williams Comments On Serena Williams’ Daughter

After becoming the aunt to her sister’s first child, Venus Williams had some very brief comments for reporters anxious to hear her reaction. As previously reported Serena Williams welcomed a baby girl with her Reddit bae Alexis Ohanian Friday.

And while details are skimpy on her sweet seed, some nosey sports journalists decided to ask her big sister Venus about the baby news.

“I’m super excited,” said Venus to ESPN who asked her abouth her sis’ delivery. “Words can’t describe.”

After the match however she was much more tight-lipped and told reporters; “I’m definitely available to answer questions about tennis. That’s all right now.”
Ooop!

Can you blame Venus for wanting to focus on her performance? She is currently whooping azz in the U.S. Open.

Fetty Wap Gave Kids Money For Staying In School

TMZ caught video footage of Fetty Wap out in his home state of New Jersey this weekend. The rapper was spotted handing out $100 bills on the streets of Hackensack on Friday as he was leaving his attorney’s office. Wap asked each one of the children who approached him if they were in school: if the kid said yes, Fetty quickly handed them a Benjamin of encouragement. Apparently one kid even got away with $400.

This seems to be a pattern for the New Jersey rapper, as he’s been spotted throwing out money to his fans before. In 2015, he threw thousands of dollars down from a balcony at the Garden State Plaza Mall in Paramus, N.J.It was reported that all-in-all, he threw about $2,700 to the unsuspecting fans.

Good on Fetty for spreading the wealth and encouraging lil kiddies to stay in school. Maybe New Jersey isn’t so bad after all.

Did Nicki Minaj Diss Cardi B Over Beyoncé?

After Cardi B had a run-in with King Bey this weekend, some people are convinced that a certain fellow femcee is none too pleased. As previously reported Cardi melted the internet after a picture surfaced of her kicking it with Beyoncé at Budweiser’s Made In America festival.

Shortly thereafter Nicki Minaj posted a video of herself promoting her verse on London On Da Track’s “No Flag” that has lyrics about someone being an imitation and only rap’s princess compared to her status as queen.

“Lil b*** I heard the labels trying to make another me, everything you getting lil hoe is cuz of me,” raps Nicki. “I ain’t f**** with you sis, we ain’t with that incest. Yes, I am Queen, I’m trying to find the princess.”

And while some folks took it as just another Nicki Minaj song, others were ADAMANT that it was a clear diss to Cardi B.

“Straight shots at Cardi B,” wrote one fan.
“Nicki u r the queen yes… @iamcardib a princess,” added another.

Sounds like people are STILL trying to pit these two against each other. Just last week Nicki outright denied that “No Flag” contained a Cardi diss, even though it starts with “Lil b***” just like “Bodak Yellow.”

Nicki dropping that video right after Cardi kicked it with her buddy Bey is just a coincidence, right?

Stephen Belafonte Needs Visitation Of Step-Daughter In Divorce

Stephen Belafonte filed paperwork in Los Angeles County Superior Court amid his divorce war with the Mel B. Belafonte claims he’s the de facto dad to Mel B’s daughter with Eddie Murphy, so he made a formal request for stepparent visitation on Friday.

In his declaration to the court, Belafonte notes that he started dating Mel B when her daughter with Murphy was only one month old. He has spent the last decade raising the child as his own, and because of this, he argued for future visitation. The 10-page declaration states, “By all intents and purposes, I am Angel’s father.”

“I believe my request for stepparent visitation is in Angel’s best interests, as Angel has been accustomed to spending time with me and sees me as the only father figure in her life,” he said. Belafonte presented proof of this with the fact that Angel calls him “daddy” and also tells him via text messages that she loves him. He says that there is no financial motivation, and his only desire with the divorce is to not hurt his step-daughter.

Cam Newton’s younger brother is following in his big bro’s footsteps. Caylin Newton made some HBCU excellence happen this weekend when he led Washington D.C.’s Howard University to a 45-43 win against the University of Las Vegas.

South African Student Receives $1 Million From Financial Aid

A South African student’s mishap with financial aid went viral. Sibongile Mani is making national headlines for blowing $60 K that was accidentally given to her in a $1 million financial aid payout.

According to The New York Daily News, Mani’s usual $100 stipend for food and books turned out to be $1 million in an accidental transaction this past June.

Mani, 27, then reportedly went on a $60,000 shopping spree for iPhones for her friends and designer outfits before a few of her snitching azz classmates raised suspicion.

“She bought an iPhone 7 and clothes for herself and each of her friends,” one student reportedly told South Africa’s TheHeraldLive. “She suddenly appeared at lectures wearing designer clothes and she pimped up her crew of friends.”

Sibongile, who is now possibly facing legal action, is being defiant on Twitter.

Joel Osteen Under Fire Once Again For Being Greedy

Nice to see you getting roasted on Twitter once again, Mr. Osteen.

Everybody is on Joel Osteen’s head for his most recent adventure through greedy gremlinville. A video of the service held at his megachurch on Wednesday clearly shows collection plates being passed around the congregation. A pretty regular occurance for most churches, but this crowd included a majority of victims and evacuees of Hurricane Harvey. Of course, this comes after the pastor was basically forced to let the evacuees into his church in the first place.

It’s already known that Osteen charges for admission into his church, so passing around a collection plate is already extra. But in the beginning of the service, it acknowledged that “several hundred” evacuees were in the audience by Lisa Osteen, Joel’s sister and an associate pastor at the church. She also pointed out that the victims have “financial needs” and that everyone should pray for them. Not even an hour later, the collection plate was passed around in an audience that was just described to have “financial needs.”

Jay Z Performance Closes 2017 Made In America Festival, Fans Sing To Birthday Girl Beyoncé

Jay Z hit the stage to close out the 2017 Budweiser Made In America festival Sunday night in Philly. The rapper was joined onstage by Damian Marley and Meek Mill during different point of his set, but the highlight for many festival goers was when the married rapper asked his audience of thousands to sing Happy Birthday to his queen Beyoncé who smiled and beamed from the rafters of the Carters private D’usse lounge, where she was joined by Destiny’s Child group member Michelle.

Bey got the internet going crazy this weekend after posting up for a picture with Cardi B. The Carters Made In America experience was definitely a family affair, Blue Ivy was spotted with both parents Saturday and members of both sides of the family including Tina Lawson, Gloria Carter and several of Jay Z’s siblings and nephews were among those who got in on the fun of watching Solange perform Saturday night and Hov take the stage Sunday. Baby twins Rumi and Sir were also reportedly at the venue, cared for in a private area.
