Gregg Allman Dies

A legendary rocker has passed away. Gregg Allman of “The Allman Brothers” died this weekend at his home in Savannah, Georgia. A statement from the singer’s website says he passed away peacefully.

His longtime manager Michael Lehman has since told CNN that Allman died due to liver cancer complications and was “surrounded by his family and friends.”

He will be buried at Rose Hill Cemetery in Macon, Georgia, the final resting place for two other founding members of the Allman Brothers; guitarist Duane Allman and bassist Berry Oakley.

He was 69-years-old.

Blind Bill Cosby Living In Fear Of Being Bugged Or Drugged

How’s this for irony? Bill Cosby has been avoiding staying in hotels in Pittsburgh during pre-trial hearings and jury selection as he prepares for his June 5 sex assault trial in Philly because he fears someone will take advantage of his blindness and either DRUG him or BUG his room… So this guy gets up at 2:30 am to fly his private jet from Philadelphia instead.

SMH. Hard to feel sorry for a guy with a private jet at his disposal. Riiight?

According to Page Six reports:

“He and his wife are afraid that if he stayed at a hotel, someone will find a way to poison him, put something in his food,” a source who works closely with the Cosby camp said.

“He’s blind … so that makes him even more vulnerable to [being] poisoned or to having someone sneak into his room,” said a second source close to the family.

Get this — Cosby won’t even drink from the water fountain at the courthouse. He brings his own food and water bottles from home. It’s not just being poisoned or drugged that he fears. The Cos is also concerned someone may be listening to his convos.

“He’s thinking and his team is thinking, if he’s put in a hotel room, someone will find out which room he’s staying in and they’ll put a bug or a device in the room,” the source said.

The comedian believes “plenty of people … would have a motive,” the family source said.

Cosby’s wife, Camille, “really worries about him and she calls throughout the day to check on him,” the source added.

Awwww poor Pill Cosby… The Page Six sources also claim he’s feeling pretty isolated and abandoned, especially by “friends” in Hollywood, the civil-rights community and the media.

He feels Eddie Murphy, Martin Lawrence, Chris Rock and Sinbad – comedians he helped early in their careers — have not rallied around him.

“Guys like Murphy, Lawrence and Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, guys that he paved the way for … they won’t offer any support,” the family source believes.

“He can’t even pay people to come and support him,” the source continued. “He’s been told that agents have informed their clients that their careers would be over if they got involved.

“We’re not asking anyone to testify. We are asking those whom he’s helped, maybe they can call or come sit in the courtroom and see for themselves what’s happening … before turning your back.”

“Jesse [Jackson] claims to have forgotten Bill’s number and Al Sharpton won’t even return his phone calls,” the source inside the camp said.

“Both of them were vocal in their support of Michael Jackson and the charges against Mike involved kids,” the source added. “So, is this really that toxic when you compare the two? Any other time they’d at least rally to say something about innocent until otherwise proven.”

This is definitely a tricky situation considering Cosby definitely helped fund a lot of causes for some of these folks… It’s just hard to see showing support for something who is being accused of rape by 60 women!

“I know there were meetings scheduled between Cosby’s team and Lester Holt. Every time we scheduled, Holt kept canceling and this kept happening,” the family source said. “Finally, we were told NBC had forbidden Lester Holt to meet with or have dinner with Bill Cosby.”

It’s so bad out here for Bill he can’t even get a crisis manager to work with him.

“Everyone says any affiliation is too toxic,” the family source said of two crisis firms that jumped ship despite seven-figure agreements. “Money exchanged hands, then the excuses came.”

Can they really blame folks though? Out of 20 something people named on Cosby’s witness list, actress Diahann Carroll (who is 81) has been the only person to sho up for the comedian.

Cosby is currently facing up to 10 years in prison if he’s convicted of drugging and assaulting former Temple University athlete Andrea Constand in 2004. She was 31 at the time. Cosby claims he’s innocent.

Rob Kardashian is clapping back at claims that his precious baby girl was conceived as part of an anti-Kardashian plot.

It’s no secret that after Rob got engaged to and had a baby with Blac Chyna within less than a year, folks questioned Chyna’s true intentions.

And as rumors continue to swirl that Chy got with Rob to piss of his little sister Kylie, Rob wants to make one thing clear; baby Dream Kardashian was NOT part of a spiteful scheme.

When gossip page TeaTenders posted a picture of Dream on their Instagram with a snarky caption about Chyna “winning the battle against Kylie”, Rob jumped into their comments section to set them straight.

“Nobody brought a baby into this world out of spite,” said Rob who also called it “disrespectful.”

Regina King Among Revelers At Private Family Celebration For “Power” Actress

“Power’s” Naturi Naughton rang in her 33rd birthday with friends and family at a private party in New York City.

The pregnant actress hosted a birthday celebration for close family and friends at West Indian restaurant Suede last weekend.

Produced by Primrose Couture Events, the dinner had a theme of modern Caribbean elegance. Actress Regina King was among the roughly dozen guests, which also included her longtime partner Ben and her parents, Ezra and Brenda.

They feasted on a meal of jerk chicken, rice and peas and other Caribbean delights before Noughton, who plays wife Tasha St. Patrick on the hit Starz! series, took the mic to address her guests, thanking them for being there to celebrate with her. Her baby is due in July.

The party group then tucked into a vanilla buttercream birthday cake from Sugar Lips Cakes that was decorated with roses.

Yes, Toni Braxton is still booed up with Birdman and yes, she’s well aware of the unusualness of their relationship. The singer recently gushed over her coupledom with the Cash Money head on “Braxton Family Values” and told her sis Towanda that Bryan “Beatrice” Williams gives her butterflies.

“B [Birdman] called me the other day, yesterday actually, and he was just like, ‘T, I want you to hang out with me, whatever it is, let’s just do something’. I have anxiety and bubbles in my tummy and stuff. I don’t know what’s going on with me,” said Toni.

She then revealed that she has some hangups about being happy and confessed that she’s rarely happy outside of work…

“You ever been scared to be happy?” said Toni.” I haven’t been happy in a long time outside of work. Work brings me extreme happiness. When I’m on stage and I’m performing, that’s the only time that I get those butterflies and I feel totally happy with my life. A romantic relationship? and added that she never would’ve imagined being booed up with “B.”

“It’s the weirdest thing. Ten years ago, I never would’ve imagined me and B would be here. Who knows, this could be a great love affair.”

Indian Woman Disfigured By Acid Attack Marries Man She Met On Misdialed Call

This is a really sweet and heartwarming story. An Indian woman named Lalita Ben Bansi had her bridal dreams come true last week when she wed her true love Ravi Shankar at the Thane registration office near Mumbai on May 23rd. Lalita suffered horrific facial burns five years ago when her hatin’ azz cousin threw acid in her face five years ago. She’s been through 17 surgeries since then but was blessed to meet Shankar after she misdialed a phone call!

Via Life & Style reports:

“I didn’t know a wrong number would set everything right in my life,” Bansi said, according to British newspaper Metro. “I am feeling very happy. I had never thought that I would ever get married. He has a big heart and a beautiful mind.”

‘He knew everything about me and was well aware of my looks, but he still kept on his promise to marry me. I am so proud to have a partner like him.’

Their love hasn’t been without its obstacles, but Ravi, who works as a CCTV operator and owns a petrol pump (gas station?) was determined to make Lalita happy.

“I had to only convince my mother to accept my choice. I had to make Lalita believe that she too had the right to a better life,” he said. “Her heart is pure and that is what matters the most.”

Ravi even says he’s happy to settle down in Ranchi (where his petrol pump is) or Mumbai, whichever Lalita wants!

Super sweet love story right? And the wedding was even star studded! According to reports, several Bollywood stars attended including Vivek Oberoi, who met Lalita at an event for acid attack survivors.

We’re not sure whether we are more heart warmed by them, or the fact that the evil cousin’s plot totally backfired and Lalita came up even better than before. She’s got a great man and famous friends!

Jury Explains Acquitting Officer Betty Shelby

The jury of 12 who acquitted Betty Shelby in the shooting death of Terence Crutcher is explaining their actions. As previously reported the Tulsa officer got off for killing Crutcher in September 2016 while his hands were up and he walked away because she “feared for her life.”

According to KFOR.com the jury consisting of nine whites and three blacks has released a letter explaining the acquittal.

Speaking via the jury foreman, the jurors said there was “no evidence the officer acted outside her training.” Furthermore, the jurors did not believe race was a factor.

“The jury concluded that any officer put in that situation at that exact moment and regardless of the skin color, gender or size of the suspect, would have performed the same way, which is in accordance with their law enforcement training,” wrote the foreman.

The foreman also noted that some jurors wondered why Shelby didn’t use her taser to subdue Crutcher but ultimately decided that she followed her “extensive training.”

Really?

“Some jurors “could never get comfortable” with saying Shelby was blameless in the death because it appeared she could have used a Taser in the moments before Crutcher reached into the vehicle, the letter said.

“However, there was no evidence presented that her extensive training allowed such an option,” the letter said. “The jury could not, beyond a reasonable doubt, conclude that she did anything outside of her duties and training as a police officer in that situation.”

SMH…are you even surprised that the jurors sided with Betty Shelby???

Willie Cory Godbolt Arrested After Allegedly Shooting 8 People Dead Including A Sheriff’s Deputy

This story is so senseless. This morning Willie Cory Godbolt was taken into custody by authorities from multiple agencies after allegedly killing eight people, including 36-year-old Lincoln County Deputy William Durr.

In a news release, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation spokesman Warren Strain said Godbolt’s killing spree started Saturday night around 11:30 pm when police received a call about a domestic disturbance at 2871 Lee Drive in Bogue Chitto, according to Clarion-Ledger reports.

The bodies of three female victims and the deputy were discovered at that address. A second crime scene where the bodies of two juvenile males were found was located at 1658 Coopertown Road in Brookhaven, and the bodies of a male and female were recovered at a third crime scene, located at 312 East Lincoln Road.

Strain said the names of the other seven victims could not be released until next of kin are notified.

Therese Apel, of the Clarion-Ledger was at the scene when Godbolt was arrested after fleeing the police, took multiple photos and video footage of the suspect who claimed his violent acts were committed because he loved his wife and children and he loves Bogue Chitto.

Godbolt told Appel he went to the first address to talk about his kids, but when neighbors called police, the deputy showed up to calm things down and ended up a victim himself.

“My pain wasn’t designed for him. He was just there,” Godbolt said of the deputy. “We was talking about me trying to take the children home … somebody called the officer … that’s what they do, they intervene. It cost him his life. I’m sorry.”

Asked what’s next for him, Godbolt said, “Death … Suicide by cop was my intention. I ain’t fit to live. Not after what I’ve done.”

Lawsuits: Karlie Redd Sues Dealership For “Repossessing” Porsche Out Of Her Locked Garage

Karlie Redd says a dealership stole her Porsche after she breaking onto her property— they are saying it was lawfully repossessed! 

According to a TMZ report, the Love and Hip Hop Star filed a claim that says a couple of goons from Vanderhall Exoctics Of Houston, forced their way onto her property, breaking into her garage earlier this year. That’s when she says in documents that they drove away with the 2014 Porsche Panamara. Vanderhall said they had to repossess the car for lack of payments.

Karlie calls BS on that! She says she’d made $43,300 worth of payments on the car she purchased for $57,397. She says they also got into her house, stole an unspecified amount of jewelry and clothing. Karlie then called police and, through an app, traced the car back to the dealer in Texas.

Karlie strongly disagrees with the dealership’s claims that the move was “lawful”. She’s suing to get back all the money she’d paid on car now. Do you think she has a case?

CNN reports Obama had been visiting Scotland, where he golfed, then Berlin before dropping in on The British Royal. In Berlin, he delivered a message to Manchester, where tragedy recently struck at an Ariana Grande concert, alongside German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.

“As the father of two daughters, I am heartbroken by the extraordinary tragedy that has occurred in Manchester, o all the families who have been affected, to all those who are still recovering, to those who have lost loved ones, it’s unimaginable to think about the cruelty and the violence that the city of Manchester has suffered.’

NFL Baller Richard Sherman Funds High School Girl’s College

NFL star Richard Sherman made a promise to a Virginia High school student. He said that if she picked up her grades, he would fund her entire college education. This weekend, he followed through.

According to Richmond.com, Varina High School Senior Harshai James met Sherman at a “Celebrity Waiter” dinner last year where in their quick conversation he mentioned that if she picked up her grades, he would fund her college. The event took place to support the “Excel To Excellence” foundation, which was started by Sherman’s teammate who also attended Varina High School, Michael Robinson.

This year, Hershai made honor roll and got her tuition covered by the athlete. All parties have kept to amount she’s received a secret. James plans on attending Norfolk University.

“Family” Pit Bull Bites Newborn Baby’s Head, Killing Her

A three week old baby has died from injuries she suffered from one of three of her families pit bull dogs according to a Yahoo News report. Susannah Jean Murray was left alone in her bounce for only a few minutes when one of the dogs started attacking her. All three pitbulls were alone with her in the room when “an adult” walked away from her according to the report.

Police say the newborn suffered a bite to the skull that ultimately killed her. It was one of the dogs who was found with blood in its mouth who Michigan authorities say is responsible for the incident. The baby girl was was taken to a nearby hospital for surgery but it was too late. No one had been arrested in connection with the baby’s death.
