Why was Chris Brown banned from Life Time Fitness?

The singer was kicked out the gym last week after allegedly getting into a heated incident with a manager. According to TMZ, Chris and his crew were on the basketball courts playing loud music, cussing yelling insults at other members. Witnesses say a manager asked them to leave and Chris went NUTS…

However, the LT staff won’t have to worry about CB ever again … a rep for the company tells TMZ he and his group have been banned permanently from the company’s more than 100 locations.

The rep says Chris’ actions, behavior and aggression toward their staff was completely unacceptable and they’ve got no place for it.

JR Smith Reveals Wife Gave Birth To Premature Baby Girl

JR Smith and his wife Jewel Harris recently shared some heartbreaking news about their newly born baby girl. According to a video posted on The Uninterrupted, Smith and his wife are hoping for the best after the devastating premature arrival.

Smith says:

“We know we’re not the only family going through this, who has been through this or who will ever go through it,” Smith’s wife, Jewel Harris, said in the video. “That’s why we decided to share what we’ve been going through with you guys. Please keep us in your prayers, and we’ll do the same for everybody else.”

JR hasn’t been on the court since last month after undergoing surgery on a fractured thumb and is expected to be healed in the next few months. Please keep JR Smith, his wife and their newborn in your prayers.

Sherien Almufti Says She And Apollo Aren’t Engaged

Remember when we told you about Sherien Almufti, Apollo Nida’s fiancee whose been bragging about their sweet scammer love???

Well as previously reported, the realtor appeared in a TMZ Live clip and revealed details of her relationship with Apollo. According to Sherien, SHE drove Apollo to prison back in 2015—while he was still married to Phaedra Parks.

“I took him there. I had to drive him. […] We were already friends. And I drove him as a friend. I went to visit him as a friend. And you know our friendship flourished to what it is today.”

Now in her full interview with TMZ, Sherien ‘s dropping a bomb; they’re not REALLY engaged. According to Sherien she’s yet to receive a real engagement ring from Apollo and the one made of prison paper towels he got her dissolved.

“I’m gonna marry him when I have that real ring on my finger. As of now I’m his friend, I’m there to support him,” said Sherien. […]

“You can’t say I’m officially engaged to him either. He did wrap some tissue paper around my finger. I could say ‘no, it’s safe to say I’m not engaged. It’s not an official engagement, who knows what’s gonna happen,” said Sherien.

Lee Daniels Explains Wanting To Make White People Feel Good Comments

We previously reported Lee Daniels had one single goal in mind when creating Fox’s new musical series Star according to Ebony Magazine. Apparently, Daniels believes the world hasn’t been nice to white people lately so his new show is going to bring them all comfort. Seriously.

Daniels said this about having a white main character in the new Fox musical:

“We are in a very dangerous state right now in our country and I wanted White people to feel good about being White because right now, there’s a lot of hatred going on,” Daniels explains before further detailing the story he created. “It started out with this White girl that was just bada** and would do anything: kill, rob, have sex, whatever to get to the top. Then, I realized as I was writing, that it was more about a girl group. Their whole world is about what happened to me when I left home and went to Hollywood and the struggles I went through. ”

The director now tells TMZ this about his comments about helping white folks with their fragile self-esteem:

Amazon And Online Grocers Will Accept Food Stamps

Online grocers such as Amazon Fresh and FreshDirect will soon be accepting food stamps to help combat food deserts in America’s poorest communities reports Mashable. The pilot program was created by U.S. Department of Agriculture to help struggling Americans…

“Online purchasing is a potential lifeline for SNAP participants living in urban neighborhoods and rural communities where access to healthy food choices can be limited,” USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack said in a statement. “We’re looking forward to being able to bring the benefits of the online market to low-income Americans participating in SNAP.”

Outside of government partnerships, Amazon has recently been experimenting with grocery shopping in a major way. The tech giant’s plan for grocery stores that would not employ cashiers and that would require a smartphone for entry brought up concerns about excluding low-income customers and contributing to inequality.

Woman Sues Chipotle For $2.2 Billion After Using Her Photo

A fed up California woman is suing Chipotle for $2.2 billion for allegedly using a pic of her that she never gave the company permission to use reports The Denver Channel.

The lawsuit, filed by Leah Caldwell of Sacramento, names Denver-based Chipotle, CEO Steve Ells and photographer Steve Adams as defendants.

Caldwell claims Adams took a photo of her sitting in a Chipotle restaurant in Denver sometime in the late summer or early fall of 2006 without her knowledge. The complaint states Adams asked Caldwell to sign a release form as she exited the restaurant, but Caldwell refused.

The woman claims she first noticed her photo used in promo materials at a Chipotle restaurant in 2014 in Orlando and then later in March 2015 in two different Sacramento franchise restaurants

Court documents claim photo had been edited to show alcoholic beverages on the table in front of Caldwell. Do you think the woman deserves $2 BILLION or nah?!

The 23-year-old Chicago MC is the newest board member of the iconic DuSable Museum Of African American History reports The Chicago Tribune.

While praising all five new trustees and new chair Joyce Johnson-Miller, “I’m not going to pretend I’m not superexcited about Chance,” said Perri Irmer, the museum’s president and CEO. “It brings us his generation, right?

“I’ve got three daughters, 21 to 34. They’re like, ‘Mom, ohmigod!’ So it’s good stuff. We’re ready to hit the ground running.”

The unusual election of a young pop star to the volunteer board — museum trustees tend to be older people from the business or donor communities who can contribute themselves and help bring in donations — delivers a jolt of excitement to an institution that has lagged behind many others in the city in fundraising and in meeting contemporary museum exhibition standards.

Military Veteran Fired For Missing Work To Attend Birth Of Baby

A military vet was fired last week after missing work to watch the birth of his baby boy reports The Concord Monitor. Lamar Austin, the former part-time security guard, was fired because he was expected to be on call 24/7 reports the news outlet.

Because New Hampshire is an “at-will” employment state, an employer may generally terminate an employment relationship for part-time or full-time workers at any time and for any reason, with a few exceptions. That means Austin has little in the way of legal protection, no matter how good an excuse the birth of a child may seem, legal experts said.

Sara Persechino, a mother of two in Hopkinton, doesn’t think that’s fair. Persechino was on the Hopkinton select board in 2014 when it unanimously voted in favor of paid family leave for town employees.
