Three people are dead and several are injured after a shooting at the Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood Florida airport. According to CNBC 9 people were shot by a single gunman who opened fire at baggage claim.
The shooter is in custody, and the motive is unknown at this time, law enforcement officials said. The airport tweeted that the incident took place at the Terminal 2 baggage claim area.
Hundreds of passengers and airport workers could be seen gathering and evacuating via the tarmac.
Former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer — who was at the airport at the time — tweeted about the shooting.

An Austin police officer pulled over Florentino Herrera early on the morning of Dec. 31 after he says he saw the 48-year-old run a stop sign and cross a solid white traffic line. Herrera was arrested after failing field sobriety tests and refusing to take a blood-alcohol test.
In an affidavit, police say the squad car’s camera recorded Herrera trying to destroy cocaine concealed under his stomach fat.

According to a report in DNAInfo, one NYPD Captain isn’t really worried about the 62% increase in rapes in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York.
In 2015 there were 5 reported rapes in the area, in 2016, that number jumped to 13, but it’s not that big a deal if you let Captain Peter Rose, head of the 94th Precinct, tell it:
“Some of them were Tinder, some of them were hookup sites, some of theme were actually coworkers. It’s not a trend that we’re too worried about because out of 13 [sex attacks], only two were true stranger rapes.
Wait, say what now?
“They’re not total abomination rapes where strangers are being dragged off the streets,” Rose later said at a Community Council meeting Wednesday night.
“If there’s a true stranger rape, a random guy picks up a stranger off the street, those are the troubling ones. That person has, like, no moral standards.
The National Organization of Women’s Jane Manning is NOT here for it:
“The idea that ‘this isn’t some guy who’s dangerous to women,’ that in itself is a major window into the mentality that we are up against,” she said.
“If you have the commander of a precinct making comments like that, he’s setting a tone for all the officers of a unit about how seriously to take acquaintance rape cases.
“When I hear the phrase we didn’t have a cooperating victim, my antenna always goes up. If you hear ‘I can’t get the victim to cooperate’ in case after case, you should be asking yourself what are they failing to do?”
But “most cops are just trying to do the best job they can to protect citizens” though, right?

Kim Kardashian made a few changes while she was laying low late last year.

It’s looking like Kim Burrell isn’t about to be welcomed anywhere but that pulpit where she declared death on homosexuals a few weeks back, because more and more people are distancing themselves from her.

In an official statement, BMI announced that they have formally dropped Kim from their upcoming celebration of gospel, since they are an inclusive organization, and Burrell’s views are clearly not in line with that message…
BMI’s Trailblazers of Gospel Music is an annual celebration of gospel music and its many talented songwriters. Given the controversy surrounding this year’s co-honoree Kim Burrell, we have asked her to not take part in the ceremony in order to allow the focus to remain on the songwriters and their music. BMI was founded over 76 years ago with an open door policy to welcome songwriters across all genres, and that same spirit of tolerance, diversity and inclusiveness continues today.
WELP. But hey, despite all the backlash, Kim seems set and comfortable with sticking to her statements. We guess holding on to her hateful rhetoric is worth more than those checks to her…

TI has apparently blown off the chance to respond to his wife Tiny’s divorce filing – paving the way for a judge to give her half of everything.
The “Whatever You Like” rapper missed the Jan. 6 deadline to answer Tameka “Tiny” Cottle-Harris’s divorce petition, where she asked for half the property, assets and other wealth they’ve accumulated over the course of their six and a half year marriage.
TI, who was born Clifford Harris Jr., had 30 days to respond to Tiny’s filing, but did not according to records from the Henry County Superior Court. Now, a family court judge could rule in Tiny’s favor by default.”
Tiny filed for divorce Dec. 7, citing “irreconcilable differences,” and said that there was no hope of getting back together. She said they’ve been living separately, and BOSSIP learned that the pair has been paying taxes on separate mega-mansions a few towns away from each other for at least a year.
However, the rumor is that TI and Tiny have been spending a lot of time together lately and the rapper is allegedly doing all he can to keep them from splitting up for good.
Tiny asked for TI to make a full accounting of their money, property and investment accounts because she said she is entitled to half of everything. The singer turned reality star also asked for half of the automobiles they amassed during their union as well as half the money TI has in a retirement account.
She also asked for primary legal and physical custody of their kids.
She also acknowledged that the couple is in debt – likely the millions they owe to the IRS – and said that because of TI’s high earning ability, he should be responsible for paying it off.
The pair is set to appear in court in March for a temporary contested hearing, where a judge will determine temporary child support, custody and alimony – and where TI will have his chance to explain why the divorce shouldn’t go through.
