Swift Releases A Music Video For “Pull Up”

Epic’s new artist Swift just released a music video for his single “Pull Up.” We wanted to show love and post it since the song is pretty jamming. From hearing it you would never know Swift used to be more of a hardcore rapper:

“I have a certain way of making music, I started off rapping and hardcore boom bap, where I am from that is what we do. I bring a piece of hip-hop and soul into the commercialism of music now,” explains Swift.

White House Pushing For New Race Categories For Middle Easterns And North Africans

Before Barack Obama packs his things and moves out of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, he’s got a couple things he wants to do for brown and black immigrants who are now American citizens according to USAToday.

The White House is proposing that new racial identifications be added to the 2020 census.

Such a move could be immensely helpful in both combatting discriminatory laws and medical research.

Under current law, people from the Middle East are considered white, the legacy of century-old court rulings in which Syrian Americans argued that they should not be considered Asian — because that designation would deny them citizenship under the 1882 Chinese Exclusion Act. But scholars and community leaders say more and more people with their roots in the Middle East find themselves caught between white, black and Asian classifications that don’t fully reflect their identities.

Sounds like the brown folks are pleased with the idea:

“What it does is it helps these communities feel less invisible,” said Helen Samhan of the Arab American Institute, which has been advocating the change for more than 30 years. “It’s a good step, a positive step.”

Does this count as “doing something for black people” or nah?

Beyonce Invests $150,000 In Side Step App

Beyonce invested a nice piece of change into a start up app called “Side Step”, where people can buy tour merchandise with out standing in line. According to iTechPost, Bey made the investment through her company, Parkwood Entertainment and is already selling her tour keepsakes there while on tour right now through the end of October.

Sidestep also sells merchandise for popular artists like Justin Bieber, Fall Out Boy, Selena Gomez and Panic! At The Disco. Other investors for the company include actor Jared Leto and former Lady Gaga Manager Troy Carter. Sidestep’s sales rose to 10 times from the last year, and has reached $ 2 million to date.

New Project Allows Black People Write Their Own Obituaries

The Black Obituary Project is a collection of pre-written obits to put a spotlight on the anti-Black violence and growing surge of police brutality. HuffPo recently featured the project’s creator on why he chose to convey his sentiments in this fashion:

“Ja’han Elliot Jones, 24, was unarmed when shot and killed in conflict with local police officers,” his obituary reads. “His familiarity with the Black canon steered him into a potent state of unapologetic Blackness ― one in which the James Baldwins and Young Jeezy’s; the bell hookses and the Queen Bey’s; the Frantz Fanons and the Futures all occupied hollowed, cherished beautiful space in Jones’ identity.”

“So often, we are killed and our photos are posted about but our stories are not,” Jones told The Huffington Post. “This grants black folks agency we’re often denied in death. We are telling our stories ― speaking of our triumphs and tragedies ― before anyone else attempts to do so for us.”

Two Men Face Felony Charges For Wrestling Baby Alligator

Florida dummies Brian Bunting David Swick were arrested in September for posting a Facebook video of them illegally capturing then taking seflies with a baby alligator reports The Washington Post:

In the nearly minute-long video, Swick is seen standing close to the alligator in shallow water as Bunting, who was recording, said: “You guys ever seen someone get bit by an alligator before? Look at this one right here.”

“Grab his neck right now, grab his neck now. Grab it! Grab it!” Bunting yelled, as Swick caught the alligator, grabbing its neck with his left hand.

Under Florida law, illegally possessing or capturing alligators is a third-degree felony punishable by up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.

Online jail records show that Bunting and and Swick, of Wellington, Fla., posted bond shortly after their arrest.

Donald Trump Avoided Paying Taxes For 18 Years

That tax info that Donald Trump has repeatedly hopscotched all around has finally hit the public…and it’s reflecting that the Republican Candidate for President didn’t pay taxes for nearly two decades.

A package anonymously sent to the New York Times contained three pages of what appeared to be a portion of Trump’s 1995 tax returns.

The info highlighted that Trump claimed a business loss of nearly $1 billion, stemming from poor management of three Atlantic City casinos, a failed airline investment, and a hasty purchase of the Plaza Hotel in NYC. The loss was so big it allowed the candidate to take advantage of tax rules that assist wealthy filers such as Trump, permitting him legally avoid paying any federal taxes for 18 years.

Meanwhile, Wesley Snipes had to do a bid for avoiding his for only 2 years. But we digress…

Of course Donald is heated and claims that all this info was illegally obtained by the Times in their effort to do Hillary Clinton’s dirty work. He didn’t say it isn’t true, though.

Damn. Do they have something like this in place for the average working people out here to make sure WE can get ahead after our losses too? Doubtful…smh.

The Westdashians are back in New York City after Kim’s harrowing experience being robbed in Paris by armed gunmen.

They didn’t come back alone though, they had a whole damn secret service!
