The embattled judge in the Stanford sexual assault trial is presiding over a similar case in which a Latino man is facing a much harsher sentence than Brock Turner, raising questions about how the former student may have benefited from his privileged background.
Raul Ramirez, a 32-year-old immigrant from El Salvador who admitted to sexually assaulting his female roommate in a case that has similarities with the Stanford case, will be sentenced to three years in state prison under a deal overseen by judge Aaron Persky, according to records obtained by the Guardian.
The three-year-prison sentence, part of a plea agreement signed in March, provides a sharp contrast to the outcome for Turner, a white 20-year-old former Stanford swimmer who Persky sentenced to probation and six months in county jail after he was convicted of sexually assaulting an unconscious woman.
Here’s how Mr. Ramirez’s got himself in trouble…
Ramirez was arrested at his home in Santa Clara County in November 2014 after his roommate called 911 to say that he had sexually assaulted her, according to police reports.
Ramirez gave the woman a “love letter” and later entered her bedroom and fingered her for about five to 10 minutes against her will, according to a police report, and stopped only when she started crying.
When police arrived, he admitted to the assault. “Ramirez knew what he did was wrong and he wanted to say sorry,” one officer wrote.
Ramirez, who has used a Spanish interpreter in court, had his bail set at $200,000 – significantly higher than the $150,000 bail set for Turner.

A Puerto Rican father reportedly was so ashamed of his son’s sexuality that he refused to claim the body following the tragic Orlando shooting according to Orlando Latino reports:
All the Pulse nightclub shooting victims’ bodies have been released to next of kin. Even the shooter’s body has left the Orange County Medical Examiner’s building off Michigan Avenue, according to information released this week.
“We effectively and efficiently completed the identification, notification and autopsy process within a 72-hour period – a monumental task,” according to an earlier statement by OCME, which worked with the Florida Emergency Mortuary Operations Response System to complete the gruesome task.
But it was touch and go for one particular shooting victim whose father didn’t want to claim the body. Because the son was gay. Because the father was ashamed. Finally and after much convincing, the body was released to Orlando-area relatives and he has been buried. (Thanks to the commenters on this post for your concern.)
This young man shall remain anonymous so as not to further victimize the deceased, who was Puerto Rican. But Orlando Latino confirmed the information with several sources. The tale is part of the untold stories of the Latino victims of the Pulse nightclub massacre.

We recently reported that crazy conspiracy theorists believed that rapper Gucci Mane was a government clone.

So, what the hell happened while Gucci was locked up? Many conspiracy theorists believe he spent the last leg of his prison sentence in a government lab being cloned. Yes, folks really think this.
The good folks over at Buzfeed contacted the CIA to ask about the clone rumors:
In response to BuzzFeed News’ inquiry about the rumors, a CIA spokesperson said “internet rumors are not news and the Office of Public Affairs will not waste time on them.”
The theory was fueled by a fake article published June 19 on the website, ThingsUthink.com, which reported Lil Boosie, another rapper, said the man who left prison is “not the real Gucci Mane.”
Charlamagne Tha God last spoke with Hatch on May 26th, 2015, the show said in a blog on Wednesday, and the article is totally fake.
“To all the Gucci-clone truthers, why can’t you believe that Guwop made a commitment to his health and improved his life?” they wrote. “Most importantly, what reason would the government or the illuminati have to clone Gucci Mane? Out of all the people in the world…Gucci? Really, bruh?”

BOSSIP Exclusive: Chad Johnson Hit With Another Lien On Florida Home
Former Football Star Accused Of Not Paying House Bills
Ex-NFL player Chad Johnson really seems to hate paying his bills.
That’s because the NFL turned reality star’s homeowner’s association slapped him with ANOTHER lien over unpaid bills on his Florida property.
According to official documents filed in Miami, the Coconut Cay Homeowners Association put a lien on Chad’s crib for unpaid maintenance charges.
The lien states that Chad has refused to pay them fees since October 2015 and he currently owes them a total of $1,042.94.
The association said the debt would continue to grow at the rate of 18% per year from the due dates along with interest and attorney fees.
Chad has yet to pay up on the debt and the lien remains active in the court system.
The new lien is the latest in a string of financial issues for Chad. Another homeowners association sued him for owing more than $3,500 in fees and costs related to his home. Chad blew off the suit, and a judge later agreed to foreclose on the house.
The auction was set to take place earlier this year but days before the sale was to take place, Chad coughed up the money he owed and the foreclosure sale was cancelled.

If you believe the rumor mill producers are ditching everyone on the roster after five seasons of catch fades, drink throwing and messy love triangles——because they want BIGGER stars.
Rumor has is that Love & Hip Hop Atlanta has plans to fire their entire cast and replace them with a more star-studded lineup.
Allegedly the producers on the show have been reaching out to all of Atlanta trying to get new cast members.

Dad Tattoos Son’s Cancer Surgery Scar To Help Him Feel Less Self-Conscious
A Kansas father decided to do something special to help his son feel less self-conscious about his scar after enduring surgery for cancer according to USA Today:
Josh Marshall said his 8-year-old son, Gabriel Marshall, felt “insecure” with a scar on the right side of his head after having surgery to remove a brain tumor. So, in August of 2015, Marshall told ABC he decided to do something about it.
“I said, ‘You know what, I’ll get your scar tattooed. That way, if people want to stare at you, then they can stare at both of us,” Marshall told ABC.
Marshall submitted a photo of the tattoo to the St. Baldrick Foundation’s #BestBaldDad competition, where fathers submit photos of themselves with shaved heads to support their children who have cancer.
“Me and my son at this year’s St. Baldrick’s event in Wichita, Kansas,” Marshall said in the photo submission. “Got my sons scar tattooed to help his self-confidence.”
With 5,000 votes Marshall won the #BestBaldDad contest, and after the St. Baldrick Foundation shared the photo on Facebook, he also won the hearts of many people across the country.
