Steve Alosi’s History Of Violence May Strengthen Diddy’s Case

Diddy’s given a lot of excuses for delivering the fade to Justin’s UCLA conditioning coach, but none that seem to be a strong enough defense for the charges of deadly assault and terrorist threats.

But a new allegation from a chiropractor that worked with Alosi when he coached for the Jets just may save Diddy from kettle bell jail. Apparently Alosi is prone to turning up during arguments and doesn’t shy away from fist fights. Via TMZ:

Diddy may have caught a huge break from a chiropractor who just came forward with a stunning allegation against UCLA coach Sal Alosi, claiming Alosi is prone to fistfights, and even had one with a New York Jets superstar.

TMZ Sports has obtained a letter from a female chiropractor sent to Jets brass in 2010 … raising serious concerns about strength and conditioning coach Alosi. According to the chiropractor, Alosi got into a “fistfight” with Pro Bowl cornerback Darrelle Revis. The doctor added Alosi has a pattern of abusive behavior and the Jets needed to get him under control.

We’ve learned the chiropractor sent the letter to Diddy’s team, and it could be a secret weapon. The D.A. will review the assault case for possible felony prosecution, but if the main victim looks unsympathetic and even violent, it’s way less likely they’d go forward. Juries don’t like unsympathetic “victims.”

The chiropractor also complained Alosi verbally abused and humiliated her, even trying to prohibit her from treating players because he was pissed off over petty issues involving towels and water.

It’s unclear how the Jets handled the chiropractor’s allegations. Alosi was suspended during the 2010 season for tripping a player during a game, and he resigned from the team at the end of the season.

WELP…this guy is already known to be intensely abusive, which is the claim Diddy has made from jump. Add to that the fact that he clearly never met a fight he didn’t like…the prosecution might not have much of a leg to stand on.

Tyga Punched By Swiss Club Owner

Apparently the people who actually hand Tyga money don’t like him either. One club promoter in Switzerland got so fed up with him that he put hands on the Cali rapper, right in front of his (temporarily) underaged boo. Via TMZ:

Tyga pissed off a Swiss club owner so much, the guy chased him outside and started a fist fight with the rapper and his entourage … and Kylie Jenner had a front row seat.

Tyga was scheduled to play a show at Envogue Genève, a club in Geneva, Switzerland. According to our sources, Tyga was supposed to play for an hour … but he showed up super late and only performed for about 10 minutes.

Tyga left the club around 4 AM and got in his car with Kylie. The enraged owner was hot on Tyga’s heels, running out of the club, yelling for Tyga … a fight then broke out.

At that point Tyga got out of the car to join in the fracas, but an eyewitness says someone in the owner’s posse flashed a gun. That was apparently enough for Tyga to make a hasty retreat, leaving his bodyguards behind.

Tyga, just stay in the damn car. SMH.

After years of shade it looks like the hatchet is about to be buried between Tamar Braxton and K. Michelle.

Thursday Tamar Braxton revealed on Entertainment Tonight that she and K. Michelle have ended their long-running feud and will make things official by performing together on Sunday’s BET Awards.

“I’m doing a very special performance with myself and K. Michelle, who — in the past, you know, we’ve both had a lot of disagreements just about, I guess life in general,” said Braxton on the set of her new music video, “If I Don’t Have You.”

“This is actually the first time we will be meeting each other,” she admitted. “I’m just really excited because I’m really about girls sticking up for each other and being there for each other, and it’s just time for all the nonsense to stop. Let’s just empower each other and be great!”

The pair have been at odds since 2013, and have continued to regularly feud over social media. Earlier this year, Braxton broke down in tears on The Real while discussing one infamous diss.

“A particular person started saying that I look like a Muppet,” she said. “People say it so much I was starting to believe it.”

Now, Braxton says that she and Michelle are ready to mend fences.

“With the whole women empowerment and everyone coming together, and everyone coming from a place where you know each other, we all can understand each other,” she noted.

Famu Hazing Manslaughter Convicts Will Not Face Prison

Is this fair or foul? Three of the men deemed responsible for the 2011 death of Robert Champion during a band hazing ritual will walk free, instead of serving the prison sentence they could have been set to face.

Three former Florida A&M University band members who were convicted of manslaughter in the brutal 2011 hazing death of drum major Robert Champion have been spared jail, it has emerged.

Benjamin McNamee, 24, Aaron Golson, 22, and 28-year-old Darryl Cearnel were found guilty in April of manslaughter and hazing in relation to Champion’s killing aboard a parked school bus.

But on Friday, they were free to go to their respective homes after being sentenced to only 10 years’ supervised probation by Circuit Judge Renee Roche following an emotional hearing.

Champion, a drum major with FAMU’s famed Marching 100 band, collapsed and died after being pummeled by other members with fists and instruments during a ritual dubbed ‘crossing Bus C’.

McNamee, Golson and Cearnel had faced up to 20 years in prison. Prosecutors were seeking a minimum nine-year term for their roles in the death of Champion, who was from Decatur, Georgia.

However, Judge Roche said she chose to deviate from that recommendation because of evidence introduced at trial that showed Champion willingly participated in the hazing after a football game.

Florida Man Arrested For Masturbating While Walking His Dog

A man accused a week ago of walking his dog while masturbating in public is back in jail after being linked to a similar crime, deputies said.

Luis Mora, 63, of West Palm Beach, was released from Palm Beach County Jail June 20 after being charged with voyeurism, burglary, indecent exposure and resisting arrest. But he landed back in jail Thursday on additional burglary and voyeurism charges.

The first incident happened June 11, when a woman reported a man looking through her bedroom window. It happened at 11:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Stone Haven Estates Drive, less than 1/4-mile from Mora’s home in West Palm Beach, according to a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s arrest report.

The woman was in her bedroom with her boyfriend when her boyfriend heard a scraping noise just outside the window. The boyfriend looked outside to see a small dog, but when he looked to the right, he saw a man looking into the bedroom while standing on a lawn chair leaning against the house, according to the report.

Is Bravo Helping Make Black Lives Matter? Kareem Abdul Jabbar Thinks So

We don’t know about this one… Bravo has been dominating the reality television world and apparently even ex-NBA players have noticed. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar thinks that the network’s mostly African-American lineup are helping humanize the black lives matter movement.

In a Time.com op-ed Abdul-Jabbar makes his case:

A lot of people look at Bravo TV’s lineup of table-flipping, backstabbing, wig-wearing, felon-making reality shows as a clear sign of the cultural apocalypse. If people are actually watching these shows, they warn, End Times are clearly upon us. I think it’s the opposite. The unrelenting pettiness of most cast members stewed with raw chunks of desperation for fame at the cost of personal dignity may seem unappetizing at first. But the harsh truths about our society that simmer beneath the frothy surface provide a tasty and hearty diet of insight and inspiration. That’s why Bravo may be one of America’s best hopes for the elimination of racism.

Really? Well Abdul-Jabbar goes on to spell out the differences between institutional and cultural racism and argues that Bravo is helping to dispel some of the mythology that propels cultural racism. Here’s more excerpts from his argument:

Biases are based on fear, and fear is generally based on ignorance. We are afraid of what we don’t know. And if the information we receive about those we fear is deliberately biased, there’s no chance to defeat the bias. The way Americans overcome these cultural prejudices is to be exposed to real people of different cultures so that they can see what they all have in common. Not just the good stuff, like kindness and compassion, but the flaws and self-doubts and mistakes that all humans share.

That’s where Bravo comes in. Its lineup of reality shows seems to feature more black people than any other channel except BET. I once called Andy Cohen, Bravo’s former head of development and the current producer of the Real Housewives franchise, the “Andy Warhol” of the new millennium. But his willingness to feature more blacks and members of the LGTBQ community in numerous reality shows also makes him an influential civil rights proponent.

Married to Medicine follows a group of black women friends who are either doctors or married to doctors. What a relief it is to know that education and income don’t help them manage their personal conflicts any better than the rest of us. Thicker Than Water follows the Tankard family, whose wealthy patriarch, Ben Tankard, tries to impose strict religious behavior on his children that he didn’t follow in his own youth. Blood, Sweat & Heelsreveals the petty feuds and deep friendships of a group of black professional women in New York City as they deal with ambition, cancer, death, and dating. The Real Housewives of Atlanta is a whirlwind of betrayal, from friends, relatives, and spouses. Add to that the aspiring musicians in The Kandi Factory and fashion snarkiness in Fashion Queens,and a large spectrum of non-inner city black culture is represented.

Through these shows, the country sees black Americans as neither icons nor victims. Neither paragons nor charity cases. They’re just a bunch of warts-and-all people chasing the American Dream as hard and fast, and often as clueless, as most everyone else. So far-reaching and influential is media, that the next generation of white children raised with the cultural wallpaper of racism lining their homes will grow up seeing a broad spectrum of black lives. And those lives will now matter more.

Hmmmm do you think he’s right? We were thinking something along the lines of “The Cosby Show” and/or “A Different World” probably did a lot more to help the cause than Bravo, but do you agree with his logic?

Memphitz Wanted For Armed Robbery And Aggravated Assault

A former music executive and reality television star is accused of pulling a gun at a north Fulton County car wash and demanding his marijuana be returned, police said Friday.

Mickey “Memphitz” Wright, of Atlanta, had his white Jeep Wrangler cleaned Thursday afternoon at Club Corners Car Wash on Medlock Bridge Road, according to Johns Creek police. He paid the $30.50 charge and left, but he returned minutes later and demanded an employee return his weed, police said.

“Your life or my weed,” Wright said, according to the employee in the police report.

The employee told Wright he didn’t have the marijuana and Wright produced a pink and black handgun, according to the police report.

Pink and black pistol? REALLY, bruh???

Wright again left the business but returned, this time demanding the employee’s phone, witnesses told police. Another employee in the car wash called 911, but Wright was gone by the time officers arrived.

The employees were able to track the stolen cellphone to a shopping center in the 6000 block of Medlock Bridge Road, where the Jeep was parked, police said. The vehicle was impounded, but Wright was not located.

On Friday, police obtained arrest warrants for Wright, charging him with armed robbery and aggravated assault. He was not in custody late Friday afternoon.

All that for a lil’ bit of weed??? SMH. There better be more to this story that this…SMMFH

According to our sources, Memphitz knows he f***ed up and should have taken different measures in addressing this issue. We’re told he will be turning himself into authorities on Monday morning.

Nicki Minaj’s ex recently told fans on Twitter that they might not see him at tonight’s BET Awards thanks to a suspicious ban put on him by the network.

According to Safaree Samuels, he was banned from this year’s red carpet with no prior warning…

and while dissing BET, he added a Nicki Minaj lyric (that he wrote) sparking suspicion that he thinks it was his ex (and possibly her new boo) who got him kicked off the guest list.

Poor thang.

African-Themed Fashion Show Features All White Models

White folks want to look like us, dress like us, act like us not hire or be us. Prime example??

The ongoing conversation around cultural appropriation in fashion (and beauty) just got a new talking point. Japanese designer Junya Watanabe showed his men’s collection in Paris today, at the Museum of Immigration. The collection drew on African influences — including colorful Dutch wax fabrics and Masai-style layered necklaces — while managing to feature exactly zero black models. Much noted on social media was the hair — several white models appeared to wear dreadlock wigs. (Watanabe has done this before, as seen in his spring 2014 women’s collection.)

NowFashion said, “Much like Vampire Weekend’s ‘Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa,’ Watanabe’s collection reflected on colonialism, and exploited the in-roads between preppy and native African culture,” while WWD conceded, “Some might see the Masai necklaces, wooden masks and metal spears as overkill, and insensitive to the darker side of colonialism. Yet the beauty of Watanabe’s pattern mixes and the placement of the scraps — along with the jauntiness of his summer tailoring in rumpled, sun-faded fabrics — delivered a powerful tropical punch.
