A 12-foot-long African python sparked brief hisss-teria in a Texas home last week after a woman found it slithering inside her bathroom.
Veronica Rodriguez, 50, said she found the rogue reptile while talking on the phone with her daughter, Kelsie Fowler, about a strange noise she was hearing inside their College Station house, located about 100 miles northwest of Houston.
“As soon as I turned on the light, that’s when I saw it,” she told The Eagle.
“It was crawling into my tub … It really spooked me so bad.”
The panicked woman slammed the door and sprinted out of the house before dialing 911.
A short time later, Officer Tony Gonzales with the College Station Police Department arrived at the home carrying brown sack.
“I told him, ‘You’re going to need a bigger sack than that,’” Rodriguez told the newspaper.
And when Gonzales opened the door, he realized he would have to call for backup to help him grab the snake, which likely slipped into the house through an open door earlier in the day.
“I didn’t know what I was going to do with a snake that large,” the cop told the paper.
12 feet?! Kanye would probably make a crazy pair of python jogging pants out of that thing.

What a year for weddings! Gabrielle Union is headed down the aisle at the end of the summer!
According to TMZ reports:
Dwyane Wade’s wedding guests better pack flip flops — TMZ Sports has learned, his upcoming nuptials to fiancee Gabrielle Union will take place on the surface of the sun … aka Miami in August … and we have the Save the Date.
The wedding is scheduled for August 30th — and the Save the Dates just went out.
Dwyane’s kids even make a cameo in the heart-shaped reminders, holding up signs that say, “Nickie, will you marry us?” (Nickie is Gabrielle’s nickname … her middle name is Monique.)
If all goes well, Dwyane will get more than one ring this year.
Congrats to the happy couple. Wonder if Dwyane will have ALL of his sons play a role when the wedding rolls around.
A group of white Georgia teens are making headlines and catching a slew of backlash following a foolish decision to hang a sign from their high school building featuring popular rap lyrics….that include the “N” word.

Senior pranks are a rite of passage, sure, but let’s be real, Forsyth County High Class of 2014: hanging a sign from the side of a school wall that reads “Ni**a we made it” is probably not the best idea.
Oh, but wait, it gets better! In addition draping the sign from the side of a school wall, the message was also written across several windows throughout FCHS.
School officials later issued a statement, speaking out against the act after photos of the sign made their way onto social media
“South Forsyth High School Parents: This morning, without our knowledge, students placed a derogatory sign with a verse from a song by Drake on our school as a senior prank.
We removed it as soon as it was brought to our attention and deeply apologize for their behavior. This is unacceptable and I promise you that the students will receive the appropriate consequences for their actions.”
SMH. We blame Drake.

“As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. “Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public.

Au Revoir, France…Buongiorno, Italy? A new report says Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will tie the knot in Florence, Italy, and not, as previously thought, in Paris, France.
Entertainment Tonight reported on Thursday, May 15, that the couple’s wedding would be in Florence. A source confirms that Florence is one of the wedding weekend locations to Us Weekly—but another insider says guests might be in for even more surprises.
“Kim and Kanye have told all guests different info,” the second source tells Us. “No one knows all of the details.”
As previously reported, Kardashian, 33, and the 36-year-old rapper are set to say “I do” on May 24. As the wedding gets closer, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reality star continues to make final touches to the couple’s big day—including what she’ll be wearing!
“I tried on quite a few,” she told Vogue’s contributing editor Andre Leon Talley at the Met Gala earlier this month of her wedding dress options. “[Then I] narrowed it down.”

During the festivities, Kardashian was joined by mom Kris Jenner, sisters Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and Ciara. Guests noshed on bagels, brioche French toast, smoked bacon, chicken gyros, and got to pose with the bride-to-be in a photo booth.

An Idaho GOP candidate definitely stirred the pot with his comments during his most recent debate. Republican candidate Harley Brown is apparently known for his publicly outspoken demeanor and sometimes offensive statements, but this one in particular is causing quite an uproar.

By most accounts, the Idaho race to watch is the one between Gov. Butch Otter and state Sen. Russ Fulcher for the Republican nomination.
But what happens when you let perennial candidates Harley Brown — a Harley-driving biker — and Walt Bayes — with a white, Santa-like beard — take part in a televised debate with Otter and Fulcher?
You get a discussion of the economy, the Affordable Care Act and federal lands alongside a heavy dose of conspiracy theories, biblical interpretations and one man’s fight against political correctness.
Brown’s campaign website contains a warning label and Harleyisms, and he explained very colorfully why his platform seeks freedom from political correctness.
“You might find it offensive, but I hit everybody — Jews, Irish people, black jokes and religious jokes,” Brown said at the debate. “I don’t like political correctness. It sucks. It’s bondage. I’m going for the vote the real people.”

BOSSIP had the pleasure of talking to actor Richard T. Jones about his role in the film. Check out our exclusive interview below:
BOSSIP: Tell us about your role in the film.
Richard T. Jones: I play Captain Russell Hampton, I’m the commander of the Navy vessel that we’re using to track the Mutos to see where they’re going, to figure out what they’re doing, why they’re here, what’s their plan. We’re trying to figure out how to defeat them and prevent further casualties.
Is it safe to assume the black guy doesn’t die first this time?
I don’t die at all actually. It’s one of those movies where Godzilla is the lead. It’s a Godzilla movie and we’re all riding his back but they hold it down, but Aaron [Taylor-Johnson] and Bryan Cranston and Ken Watanabe really hold down most of the meat. I just get the good fortune of working with them.
As far as sci-fi you previously did “Super 8,” how did the two films compare?
Very different, definitely one is more typical sci-fi with the aliens in that sense and JJ Abrams is a monster, so I love him. And with Gareth [Edwards], Gareth is amazing too. They’re similar in bigness and similar in styles, very relaxed and cool and collaborative. Real low egos. You’d expect more ego in these guys, but they have none. Other than that, very big movies, grand in scale, so they’re similar in that sense, but I think they’re very different movies. And very different characters. I was a bad guy in “Super 8″ and I like to think I’m a good guy in this.
For people who are fans of the cult classic “Godzilla,” how do you think this will measure up?
I think they’ll be ecstatic about this. This is so true to the original but it brings a new element to it I think they’ll be thrilled. The way Gareth introduces Godzilla, the way he shows his heroic side. I think it’s amazing. I think they’re going to flip.
What are the challenges as an actor when you’re working with a lot of special effects?
After working in “Super 8″ it made it a lot easier to do that. I always tell people it’s kinda like going back to when you were a kid and playing in your room and you can imagine anything. I have kids now and I see them do it all the time, so when I do these types of movies that’s what it reminds me of. You almost have to just try to play, you almost have to do it over the top the first few times and get out of your head. You gotta kinda make fun of yourself and that makes it easier.
Have your kids seen the movie?
My kids saw it with me yesterday and they loved it.
What did you take away from the film?
Every time I do a project it’s always about the encounters with the people. I spent a lot of time with Ken [Watanabe] and David [Strathairn] and Sally [Hawkins]. Just sweet individuals. I always take away the experience of working with the different actors and crew members. It’s always good to see the same faces when you do something totally different. When I did “Super 8″ we had the same army instructor, so when I went out to Vancouver he was out there. It’s good to reunite with people.
So what do you think? Are you going to see “Godzilla?”
Many played love interests on screen, and they took their love off-screen.
