Driver Who Killed Teen Bicyclist Sues his Family For $1 Million

The family of a teenage bicyclist who died after being hit from behind by an SUV is now being sued for more than $1 million by the woman who was behind the wheel.
Sharlene Simon claims in court papers the accident caused her “great pain and suffering” and accuses her victim Brandon Majewski 17, and his two friends of negligence, calling them “incompetent bicyclists,” the Toronto Sun reported Friday.
The lawsuit drew an angry response from Brandon’s family. “I feel like someone kicked me in the stomach — I’m over the edge,” his father, Derek Majewski, told the Sun. “Sometimes, it makes my blood boil.”
The dad’s attorney Brian Cameron told the Sun that in all his years as a lawyer, he had never seen anyone ever sue a child that they killed. “It’s beyond the pale,” he said. He is representing the elder Majewski in a seperate lawsuit that seeks $900,000 in damages from Simon.
The accident happened early in the morning of Oct. 28, 2012, on a dark, rural road in Innisfil, about 55 miles north of Toronto. Brandon’s two friends were both 16. One was seriously injured; the other escaped injury. They are also defendants in Simon’s lawsuit, as is the county where the accident occurred.
Simon, a 42-year-old mother of three, said she was going about 55 mph in her KIA Sorrento when she hit the boys — about 5 mph more than the speed limit, the Ottawa Citizen said. No criminal charges were ever filed against her.
“It’s a tragedy what happened to the boys, but it’s also a tragedy that’s happened to (Simon),” her lawyer Michael Ellis told the Toronto Star. “I understand their grief and I understand what they must be going through is awful, but my client is also living with this nightmare every day.”
As if taking the life of their son, whether on accident or not, wasn’t bad enough. This woman truly has NO heart!

He tells FOX 2′s Randy Wimbley he’s been getting teased his whole life, but never thought he’d be bullied by celebrities after posting a “selfie” on social media. He says people began recognizing him from a picture on Shaquille O’Neal’s Instagram account. Former University of Michigan athlete Trey Burke and rapper Waka Flocka Flame are also said to have also joined in on the teasing. The photo on Shaq’s Instagram has been taken down. Wimbley contacted Shaq via Twitter, officials with Burke’s team, Utah Jazz, and Waka Flocka Flame’s record label. No one responded. Binion says this has inspired him to start an anti-bullying campaign called “Hug Don’t Judge.”

Screaming Hacker Scares Family After Taking Control Of Baby Monitor

An Ohio couple was terrified when a hacker took over a 10-month-old baby’s video monitor and started screaming ‘Wake up baby!’ in the middle of the night.
Adam and Heather Schreck were stunned, but Adam quickly rushed into their frightened daughter’s room — only to see the camera pointed at them and the “intruder” screaming obscenities.
The Cincinnati couple felt “violated” and helpless because they couldn’t figure out who was doing this — and didn’t know if they had done it before.
“I heard a voice again start screaming at my daughter, ‘Wake up baby! Wake up baby!’ I was just absolutely shocked to see somebody could get into my house so easily,” Heather told Fox 19.
It was midnight when the pair heard the male voice. Heather’s first reaction was to check her cellphone, which connects to the wireless monitor watching over baby Emma.
She was further alarmed when she saw the Foscam camera move independently, as it was only supposed to track the infant or any movement in the room.
IT experts say that while hackers commonly target webcams in computers, any Internet-connected device is a cyber-loophole for determined intruders to gain access.
Apparently, this is a pretty regular thing that nerd hackers do.
“It’s not just that they want to get in and mess with your camera,” Infinity Partners solutions expert Dave Hatter explained. “Sophisticated hackers know they can use this as a launching-off point to get into your network and potentially steal your ID or launch malicious attacks.”
His advice is to change Wi-Fi and camera passwords, ensuring they are both different and checking websites for your technical equipment for updates, as they may not appear on devices. The Foscam camera owned by the Schrecks has a known vulnerability and manufacturers had released an update, which the Schrecks were unaware of.
The dad sounds like a pansy. Protect ya cam, folks.

I think I am a firecracker in real life, so I think it was pretty accurate. I think I was put in situations that made me be a little more firecracker than usual, but besides that I think it was good. I think you guys got to see who I am towards the end of the season too.
What do you think some of the biggest misconceptions are that people may have about you now, having seen you through the eyes of reality television?
I think it’s funny that they think that I’m uneducated and ghetto, despite the fact that I went to St. Louis University, and one of the best high schools and then best colleges – I think that’s funny. The fact that they think I’m fat in real life is hilarious to me too, since the camera puts like 15 pounds on you. Plus I think Draya just said it and it made everybody else think so. I know I look thicker on TV, so I dropped like 10 pounds so I can look smaller next season. But yeah – I’m shapely, I’m not small.
