Anita Baker — famous for her 80s hit song “Sweet Love” — is now a wanted woman in Detroit … after an arrest warrant was issued for the Grammy-winning singer.
According to court records, the bench warrant was issued yesterday after the singer failed to show up to court for a hearing in her current legal battle with a paint and decorating company.
Ray Smith Painting and Decorating has sued Baker, claiming she owes the company $15,000 for services it performed inside her giant Grosse Pointe home — and so far, she still hasn’t anted up.
We reached out to Anita’s camp for comment — so far, no word back.
We never thought we’d see the words “Anita Baker” and “wanted by police” in the same sentence. What the sweet love hell??!

According to WTEV:
A former math teacher from Georgia is in jail facing sexual assault charges.
The McIntosh County Sheriff’s office arrested 41-year-old Lori Carmichael Quigley at her home in Brunswick last Friday.
Lori Carmichael Quigley, 41, is accused of having sex with at least two students at the McIntosh County Academy.
“We think there’s more out there,” said Major Danny Lowe with the McIntosh County Sheriff’s Office.
Quigley is accused of having sex on more than one occasion with students on and off school grounds.
“The charges are serious, all three felonies,” said Lowe.
Action News went straight to Quigley’s house where Lowe said she lives with her husband. Someone came to the door, but did not answer.
Lowe said Quigley resigned as math teacher from the school just one week before her arrest last Friday.
Action News learned Quigley had been teaching advanced level math to ninth- through-12th graders since 2005 at the school.
A judge denied Quigley bond Monday morning.

The 83-year-old Pomeroy man doesn’t remember requesting the Neil Diamond song around 11:30 p.m. Friday at Kenny’s Pub in Waukee. Nor does he recall hitting the ground, unconscious, just moments into a dance with his daughter-in-law.
Roese experienced a severe heart attack that doctors at Mercy Medical Center later determined was caused by 100 percent blockages in two major coronary arteries.
“He should not even be here. Less than 1 percent of people survive that type of incident,” Clive Assistant Fire Chief Tony Collins said.
Collins led a group of pub patrons who performed CPR until paramedics arrived. He immediately began performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation while four others checked vital signs and performed chest compressions. The harrowing scene continued for several minutes without signs of hope. “He had no pulse and no respiratory effort whatsoever … He was dead for almost 15 minutes,” Collins said.
Today, the two men met in a hospital recovery room at Mercy. “Typically you slam those ambulance doors, it drives away and you wonder what happens,” Collins said. “It just made my day like you wouldn’t believe that I got to talk to him after.”

Nobody told Joan Smalls to lick Beyoncé in her “Yoncé ” video. “That was my idea,” the model said on Wednesday, at a launch party for Nike’s collaboration with designer Riccardo Tisci. “I just got inspired by the song—[the lyric] ‘Yoncé all on his mouth like liquor’—I’m like, ‘Can we actually see what Yoncé would taste like? Can I lick her?’ And they’re like, ‘Go for it.’ I’m like, ‘Are you sure?’ And I asked her, and she’s like, ‘Absolutely,’” Smalls said.
The video, which also features models Jourdan Dunn and Chanel Iman, had no script, and the women were not required to rehearse. “It was basically us being ourselves, and just in the moment,” Smalls told VF Daily. “It was only a certain vibe, and a certain energy that was required in the video. It was up for interpretation; you could laugh, you could do whatever you want. You just had to be yourself.”
And Smalls did not feel weird licking Bey’s chest. “I mean, I do what very few people in this world would ever do,” she said. “So Jay Z is a very lucky man,” she added, laughing.
She described Beyoncé as “spectacular, professional, and down to earth.” “She gives it her all. She is so energetic, and she makes you feel like you’re the only person in the room, and that’s something I really find inspiring about her. She’s a good icon.”
So how does Beyoncé taste? “Uh, sweet,” Smalls said, laughing again.
We’ll never believe that Humpback Hov didn’t at least TRY to make a 3-way play happen, but if he didn’t, he’s a damn fool.

The gloves are off in the fight between Rihanna and her ex-accountant — the money man is now firing back in their legal battle over $9 million the singer claims she lost on his watch … calling her a financially impaired moron.
Accountant Peter Gounis filed the response to Rihanna’s lawsuit, insisting he was hired to record and manage her financial accounts — NOT give her rudimentary spending advice.
Gounis claims Rihanna blew through millions of her own money by going on endless shopping sprees — buying roomfuls of designer shoes, clothes, and jewelry — and throwing extravagant parties for herself. He also claims she bailed on an expensive tour to shoot “Battleship,” which turned out to be a massive failure.
And despite Rihanna’s accusations, Gounis insists he never directed Rihanna to buy a dilapidated house.
But even ignoring all that, Gounis says, “Was it really necessary to tell her that if you spend money for things you will end up with the things, and not the money?”
Gounis wants Rihanna’s lawsuit thrown out.

A Virginia Beach sixth grader who came to the aide of a classmate who was cutting his arm will now return to school Friday after initially facing expulsion for her actions.
Last Thursday at Bayside Middle School, Adrionna Harris took a razor from the student, threw it away and convinced him what he was doing wasn’t right.
She thought she was doing the right thing, so on Friday she told the school administration what happened. The way school officials responded led to this question: was the school’s zero tolerance policy taken too far?
Instead of getting praise from the school administration, Adrionna got a 10 day suspension with recommendation for expulsion.
The interesting thing — the only reason Adrionna got suspended was because she admitted what happened. The alleged weapon was thrown away, and it was her word alone that led to her suspension.
“I was shocked and surprised. I was very shocked that a student would get suspended for saving another child,” said Rachael Harris, Adrionna’s mother. “The school system over-reached absolutely.”
Virginia Beach City Public Schools has been pummeled in social media for suspending Adrionna in the first place. During the meeting, Mr. Harris said it was clear the school system is tired of the negative reaction against them because of what people perceive as unfair treatment of Adrionna.
“They definitely want it to be over with. They don’t want 10 On Your Side spot-lighting this issue. They are over it, and so are we,” Harris said.

A Florida woman is accused of performing a lethal C-section on a dog without anesthesia before using non-surgical glue to close the incision.
Candace Patricia Hauser, who authorities said did not have a license to practice veterinary care, was arrested in Tampa Saturday — a little more than a week after the Mastiff died from its senseless injuries.
Authorities say the trouble began after dog owner Brenda Hines of Winter Haven brought the pregnant Mastiff to Hauser for help after the dog went into labor on March 4.“She takes it over to the woman and the woman starts to help this dog birth by manual means — she actually reached into the dog and pulls 12 puppies out,” said Ron Spiller with the Hillsborough County Animal Safety and Enforcement.
It was when the dog had trouble delivering her last two puppies that Spilled said Hauser, 31, decided to open the dog up, without anesthesia.
“She glued the incision, she didn’t suture it, she glued it,” Spiller said of her handiwork once the puppies were out.
The dog, described by her owner to police as in declining health, died in her owner’s car.
She faces a maximum of five years behind bars and the lost right to own animals in Hillsborough County.
She should get WAY more than five years. This was beyond cruel and unnecessary.

A Muslim woman is pursuing her lawsuit against Planet Fitness after she says the refused to allow her to workout in a religious head covering.

Tarainia McDaniel (pictured), recently filed a lawsuit against a Planet Fitness in New Mexico over an incident that occurred in October 2011, claiming that the gym wouldn’t allow her to wear her religious head covering when she tried to work out, reports Albuquerque Journal.
According to the 37-year-old Albuquerque resident, she signed a two-year contract with the New Hampshire-based business at one location where she was never given a problem about wearing her Muslim head covering. When McDaniel transferred her membership to another Planet Fitness location, though, she was allegedly told that her religious head covering was not allowed because it was against the gym’s dress code, according to the lawsuit.
However, the gym in question did display a sign that read, “No jeans, work boots, bandannas, skull caps, or revealing apparel.”
McDaniel alleges in her complaint that she asked the gym’s representatives if she could wear her head covering to accommodate her faith and even asked if she could instead wear a hijab, a more formal piece that covers the head and chest. McDaniel claims that her requests were flatly denied and told that the head coverings were direct violations of the strict gym dress codes.
Planet Fitness’ attorney, Erika Anderson ,defends her client’s position regarding the case, telling Albuquerque Journal, “My client’s position is that they didn’t know the head covering was for religious purposes. It violated their dress code policy.
But the New Mexico Human Rights Act and the Unfair Practices Act states that Planet Fitness had no legal right to deny McDaniel entry on to its facility while wearing her religious head covering.

Judge Denies YouTube Founder’s Motion To Dismiss Lawsuit

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are one step closer to a multi-million-dollar pay day. RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that a judge has denied YouTube founder Chad Hurley‘s last-ditch attempt to get the couple’s lawsuit against him dismissed before going to trial.
Kardashian and West are suing Hurley for leaking a video of their engagement on his website, Mixbit, allegedly in violation of a contract he signed at the event. Hurley had filed a motion to strike the suit under California’s anti-SLAPP statutes, but according to court documents filed on March 18 and obtained by Radar, Judge Ruth Kwan denied that request, as well as his request for attorney’s fees.
The motion to strike the suit was ultimately denied on the grounds that Hurley “benefitted from” posting West and Kardashian’s engagement video, “at [Kanye and Kim's] expense,” the documents state.
The couple have argued that Hurley’s leak endangered their previously established agreements to exclusively license footage of the event, and to air it on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

She’s pregnant — again! Alyssa Milano is expecting her second child, her rep tells Us Weekly exclusively. The Who’s the Boss? alum and husband David Bugliari are already parents to 2-year-old son Milo.
“Alyssa is so excited to be pregnant again!” a source adds to Us. “She just recently started showing and has wanted to expand her family with David for a while.”
Just last month, Milano — who tied the knot with CAA agent Bugliari, 33, in 2009 — admitted that she and her husband were trying to conceive.
“We are actively trying,” the Mistresses actress, 41, said during a Feb. 3 Access Hollywood appearance. She joked: “[David's] just chugging down ginseng.” (Research suggests ginseng can increase sex drive in men.)
“There are very natural moments,” she added of the pair’s love life. “It’s not like we’re machines or biological experiments. We’re very attracted to each other.”
As for her baby boy, Milano is just smitten. “He’s kind of got the best of both of us, I think,” she gushed to Us at the pre-Grammy Awards party at Getty House in L.A. that same month. “I think he’s a lot more of a showman than I was at that age. He likes to perform already.”
