One would assume that beautiful dark skin is most appreciated in Africa, but one fertility clinic in Ghana seems to think otherwise and is advising black couples to think that way also.

Skin complexion is an issue for people of color all over the world and in Ghana, there’s a new business that is on a mission to breed what they call “half-caste” babies for a better Africa.
In Ghana, the fairer skinned people are often placed on a higher pedestal and are in greater demand for dates. Some refer to them as hotcakes because of their lighter skin color.
Modern science, namely artificial insemination, is credited with having the ability to breed mixed-raced or half-caste babies without the need to marry or be intimate with a person of another race.
In Accra, Ghana, there’s a gallant effort being made to create a new society in Africa referred to as a “Half-Caste World” through artificial insemination which it believes will position Africa for a better future.
“Half-caste World is founded to transform Africa into the land of riches and beauty, the land of every man’s dream. We believe life began in African and will end in Africa,” the advocates posted on their Facebook page.
This is shameful and ridiculous. Hopefully these couples aren’t buying into this bullisht…

There is a special place in hell for people like her.
According to Fox News:
A suburban Detroit woman was being held in connection with the death of her adult son, whose dismembered remains were found dumped in trash bags along the sides of roads, police said. The names of the 59-year-old woman and the 32-year-old victim were not released, but St. Clair Shores police Sgt. Jay Cohoe told the Times Herald of Port Huron that they were mother and son.
The woman, who lives in St. Clair Shores just east of Detroit, faces murder and dismemberment charges. She hasn’t been officially charged. Police said prosecutors in Macomb County are expected to review a warrant with the charges Monday. A cause of death was not released. An autopsy was to have been conducted Friday.
The man’s remains were found Thursday along the sides of roads in St. Clair and China townships, about 50 miles northeast of Detroit in St. Clair County. Someone had reported seeing a woman dumping trash bags along a roadway. “Deputies and detectives from the sheriff’s office responded and discovered garbage bags containing body parts,” the St. Clair County sheriff’s office said Friday in a statement.

While Ray Allen is proud of the mark he’s made with his play—making more three-pointers than anyone else—he’s trying to leave a legacy in other ways. This month, you may see the result of his sweat…In the shirts that NBA players are sweating in. Allen collaborated with the league on the design of the special shooting shirts for February, shirts that feature images of Martin Luther King Jr., Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman and Bill Russell.
“I’ve been trying to make noise about it for the longest time, ever since I was in Milwaukee,” Allen told Bleacher Report recently. “Because when it came to Black History Month, I was always the guy to try to get the guys to do little video montages, during halftime, during timeouts, where we would read about one of the black heroes of ours, a great civil rights activist, or someone who was a pioneer back in the day that helped push along black culture and improve the civil liberties of black people.”
And there was a problem, in his view. “It got to the point where I would read all of them, because nobody else would do it,” Allen said. “I always used to have a gripe with the way this game is, and how many young black men are playing this game, and how many have benefited from the civil rights movement. But we never talk about Black History Month, there is never anything done inside the (other) arenas. So I tried that, every place that I went, to at least have some type of moment. Let’s not have Black History Month and let the moment pass by.” Allen was insistent upon the importance of inclusion. He worked quickly with a friend to create the design, and they worked with the league to make sure it was appropriate for everyone.
“The shirt doesn’t have to be a black shirt,” Allen said. “One of my messages was, Black History Month is not just about black people. Black History Month is about how black people have fought to improve the lives of not only black people, but the world over.
“Martin Luther King fought for the civil liberties of all people. That’s something that we need to continue to believe, and understand that. People in the Middle East right now are fighting, and they are paying homage to Martin Luther King’s civil rights movement, they are following those doctrines, and how he fought for equality for all people. So that’s something that we need to talk about right in the forefront.”

According to Orlando Sentinel:
Misbehavior in a Kissimmee household resulted in an hour-long punishment called “the electric chair” with shocks from a stun gun for three children under 10, according to police.
Their caregiver defended the practice by telling a detective she only threatened her cousin’s kids with the electricity zapping between the stun-gun’s metal prongs.
Police believed the children and charged Letina Smith late Thursday with three counts of child abuse after the two brothers and their sister gave similar accounts of receiving painful shocks.
Osceola County school officials reported the possible abuse shortly after 2 p.m. when the sister asked her teacher at Sunrise Elementary School not to call her home and say she had misbehaved in class, according to the arrest report.
“(She) explained that the punishment was to get touched with a ‘taser,’” the report stated. “The electric chair consists of the child who is in trouble holding themselves… with their back on the wall and their legs forming a chair. They have to stay there for an hour and if they speak or move Letina will come up to them with the electrical weapon, “taser,” and activate and touch them with it.”
The state Department of Children and Families is also investigating. DCF handles on average 3,600 child abuse complaints every month in its 12-county region including Central Florida.
“I can only recall one other ( that involved a stun gun) but we do see all types of what we could consider ‘bizarre’ punishment,” DCF spokeswoman Carrie Proudfit wrote in an email to the Orlando Sentinel.
Children need discipline, but she didn’t have to shock them with a stun gun.

According to LA Times:
No charges will be filed against rapper Kanye West for allegedly punching a person at a Beverly Hills chiropractor’s office, the L.A. County district attorney’s office said Friday.
The alleged incident occurred Jan. 13 in the 8800 block of Wilshire Boulevard after West’s fiancee, Kim Kardashian, entered the office at the same time as the alleged victim.
The alleged victim held the door open for Kardashian,”words were exchanged, and both parties report the victim used a racial epithet,” the district attorney’s office said in a statement.
Kardashian relayed the verbal encounter to West, apparently by cellphone, according to media reports.
West went to the chiropractor’s office and shortly afterward, he and Kardashian found the alleged victim in the waiting room.
West punched the person an unknown number of times, according to the district attorney’s office. No significant injuries were documented at the time of the initial report, the office said.
The victim’s attorney indicated a civil compromise had been reached with West, and although a police report was filed, the victim declined to seek criminal prosecution, the district attorneys office said.
“Further inquiry by this office resulted in the victim, through his attorney, declining to speak with a member of the district attorney’s office,” authorities said in a statement. “Prosecution is accordingly declined due to victim unavailability.”
Yeezus stays catching fade with people and not facing charges.
