At Least She’s Honest: Oprah Winfrey Says She’s Childless Because Her Kids Would Probably Hate Her!

Oprah Winfrey recently had a chat with The Hollywood Reporter where she revealed that she doesn’t regret a life without her own children.
According to People.com reports:
“If I had kids, my kids would hate me,” Winfrey, 59, told THR. “They would have ended up on the equivalent of the Oprah show talking about me; because something [in my life] would have had to suffer and it would’ve probably been them.”
Winfrey – who, at 14 gave birth to a baby who only lived for a number of weeks – said her attitude towards having more children has essentially been the same since her childhood best friend Gayle King, who’s still her best friend today, had very different hopes and dreams.
“Gayle [now a mother of two] was the kind of kid who, in seventh grade home ec class, was writing down her name and the names of her children,” Winfrey explained. “While she was having those kind of daydreams, I was having daydreams about how I could be Martin Luther King.”
Still, Winfrey, one of the richest women on the planet and the first African-American female billionaire – who earned a Screen Actors Guild nomination Wednesday for her scene-stealing work in Lee Daniels’ The Butler – said she does have plans to slow down her career.
Hoping to move from Chicago to Montecito by her 60th birthday in January, Winfrey held a “yard sale” in November and reportedly sold $600,000 worth of items for charity, including lamps, teapots and sofas.
She said, “It was about making space for a new life, which is what I’m getting ready to create for myself in California.”
That was a pretty ishtty thing to say about Gayle and a pretty lofty thing to say about herself, but we all know Oprah is good for tooting her own horn. SMH.
She’s probably right about the kids too, cuz we sure have our moments where Oprah works our nerves!

Ohio Cop Chief Oliver Blasts Kanye West For Comparing Himself To A Police Officer
According to TMZ reports:
A police chief in Ohio is GOING OFF on Kanye West — tearing the guy apart for comparing himself to cops and soldiers … saying Kanye has NO CLUE about the real dangers they face.
The cop with the beef is Brimfield Police Chief David Oliver … who says he was listening when Kanye told a media outlet that he puts his life on the line at his rap concerts … just like cops and soldiers.
Chief Oliver was so angry, he posted an open letter to West on the department’s Facebook page … saying, “You sir, are as misguided as they come.”
The majority of the letter is dripping in sarcasm, mocking Kanye for the ridiculous comparison:
“Since you are accustomed to danger, from your life as an international rapper, I am strongly encouraging you immediately abandon you career as a super star and join the military.”
“After joining, I would like you to volunteer to be deployed in Afghanistan or one of the numerous other forward locations where our men an women are currently serving. When the Taliban starts shooting at you, perhaps you could stand up and let the words flow.”
“I’m sure they would just drop weapons and surrender. You could quite possibly end all wars, just from the enemy being star-struck.”
The letter ends, “What I do not get is you EVER comparing what you do for a living to our heroic military members, who are always in harm’s way… and my brother and sister police officers who have to go to work carrying weapons and wearing a bullet-proof vest to protect themselves.”

College Student Dies From Brain Injury Following Pledging Ritual
Yet another college student was severely injured and lost his life after performing a reportedly banned pledging ritual in hopes of gaining acceptance into a fraternity.

Authorities in Pennsylvania are investigating the death of a New York City college student during a fraternity ritual.
Chen “Michael” Deng, 19, was brought to a Wilkes-Barre hospital early Sunday morning in critical condition, The Pocono Record reports. Authorities say Deng was injured at a Tunkhannock Township residence, where about 30 members of the Pi Delta Psi fraternity had traveled for the weekend.
Deng, a freshman from Baruch College in New York City, was one of four pledges to the fraternity. He was allegedly injured during a ritual in the yard.
“He got tackled too many times,” Monroe County District Attorney E. David Christine said. He said Deng was forced to run a gauntlet blindfolded and with a heavy weight on his back. The teenager suffered a fatal brain injury.
Deng suffered a head injury and was taken inside the home, officials said. When he didn’t recover “after some time,” he was driven to the emergency room at a nearby hospital, where he was unresponsive and listed in critical condition, the New York Post reported.
He was placed on life support, but reportedly died Monday from major brain trauma.
The fraternity issued a statement calling the incident an “unsanctioned event” that “was strictly prohibited by our organization.” The college says it had no knowledge about the event.
These frat incidents gone wrong are occurring waaaaaayyyy too often lately…

A crazy ex-military woman claiming to be Mike Tyson’s mistress has been threatening to kill the boxing legend’s wife and family … this according to Tyson’s wife Kiki … and now, Kiki’s obtained a temporary restraining order.
Kiki Tyson filed the request for the restraining order in L.A., claiming a woman named Mickey Gordon has sent her more than 60 threatening emails in the last two years … and Kiki desperately fears for her and her family’s safety.
Kiki attached the alleged emails from Gordon in her restraining order request, and they’re pretty nuts. Here are a few excerpts … and yes, the emails are all in caps:

Kiki claims she’s never met Mickey Gordon before, and has no idea how the woman obtained her contact information, but in one of her emails … Gordon identifies herself as Kiki’s “husband’s mistress.” She also calls herself “Kiki’s nightmare.”
Gordon has since been ordered to stay 100 yards away from Kiki, Mike, and their 2 children. Another hearing has been scheduled for next month to decide whether to make the TRO permanent.
Hope Mike’s defense is still as impregnable as he once claimed it was…this broad sounds like she wants blood.
