According to Mail Online
A doctor who froze embryos with her boyfriend after she was diagnosed with cancer is now battling him in court after he broke up with her and said he no longer wants children.
Karla Dunston, 42, maintains that she has the right to have her biological children and should control the future of the embryos, while her ex-boyfriend Jacob Szafranski, 32, argues that he never agreed to give up his say in the matter.
The Illinois Supreme Court is expected to reach a decision on whether it will hear Szafranski v. Dunston this month – a decision which will no doubt affect thousands of future would-be parents.
Dunston has since gone on to carry and give birth to a son – using a donor egg and donor sperm, Szafranski’s attorney confirmed. But he added that this does not affect the outcome of the case as the court distinguishes between a child that is biological and ‘essentially adopted’.
The couple, who met through their work in a Chicago hospital, had been dating for just five months when Dunston was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in March 2010.
This is an interesting case.
Knowing that the chemotherapy could leave her infertile, she asked Szafranski if he would provide his sperm so that she could freeze embryos for potential future use.
He agreed and one week later, he provided a sample at Northwestern Hospital’s fertility clinic, the Chicago Tribune reported.
‘It was a very emotional time and I was just trying to support Karla the best way I could,’ the firefighter and former nurse told the newspaper.
Dunston, in a court deposition, added: ‘I thought about my different options, of using a sperm donor or someone that I knew for many years and that was a wonderful person.
‘So I decided to go with someone that I thought was a wonderful person and I trusted.’
At the time, the couple also signed a document that stated ‘no use can be made of these embryos without the consent of both partners’.
They met up with an attorney and a second agreement that gave Dunston sole control of the fertilized eggs was drawn up – but the couple never signed it.
Two months after the hospital visit, Szafranski broke up with Dunston via text message. He said he had initially been honored to help out his girlfriend, but later had reservations.
‘I have the right not to be a father,’ he said. ‘It’s something I take very seriously and feel very strongly about.’
Should the embryos be declared her property to do whatever she wants with them or should he have a say on whether he wants to be a father?

It’s disturbing when a mother sexually abuses a child, but where were the child’s parents?
According to The NY Daily News
A 36-year-old mother stands accused of having a sexual relationship with her daughter’s ex-boyfriend.
Aglaia Cloud pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to four counts third-degree child forced sex and one count of communication with a minor for immoral purposes, the News Tribune reported.
The victim, who had ended a relationship with Cloud’s daughter, was confronted by his own mother about why he kept returning to the girl’s home in Lacey, Wash., court records stated. The 15-year-old then confessed that he sleeping with Cloud, 36, and claimed he was doing so because she promised to introduce him to a talent agent who could help him with his apirations to become a dancer.
An aspiring singer and actress in her own right, Cloud is believed to have had sex with the boy on multiple occasions since September of 2012.
The boy’s mother contacted police, who launched an investigation that netted a sex video the couple made at a Holiday Inn Express, as well as taped phone conversations that prosecutors say implicate Cloud.
“There were conversations about their relationship confirming her knowledge of his age and the fact they had a sexual relationship,” Lt. Phil Comstock said.
In one such taped conversation, the victim asks Cloud, “did we, or did we not have sex before I turned 16?”
“Yes,” Cloud replies.After entering her plea, Cloud, who now lives outside of Washington, was released on bail, but must return for her criminal trial in December.
The age of consent in Washington is 16.
If this is true, she needs her azz whipped. She was perfectly capable of finding a man her age instead of phucking a little boy.

According to The NY Daily News
Former NFL offensive lineman Brian Holloway initially thought the Twitter photos showing young people partying at his family’s second home in upstate New York were a hoax.
Then he saw pictures of teens standing on the dining room table he bought with his Super Bowl winnings.
Holloway’s rural vacation home was trashed during a Labor Day weekend party attended by an estimated 200 to 400 teenagers. Holloway said the partiers caused at least $20,000 in damage, breaking windows and doors, punching holes in walls and spraying graffiti. He saw the whole thing unfold live on Twitter — and now he’s using the teens’ own posts to reveal their identities.
Holloway, who played offensive tackle for the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Raiders in the 1980s, said his 19-year-old son, a University of Southern Florida sophomore, alerted him to the party after receiving tweets about it the night of Aug. 31.
No one is safe from a slizzard teenager.
Holloway was at his home in Lutz, Fla., at the time and watched as more tweets about the party were posted, many of them accompanied by photos of young people drinking throughout his home in Stephentown, on the Massachusetts border 25 miles southeast of Albany.
“We were getting eyewitness reports of what was happening while it was happening. We couldn’t believe what was going down,” Holloway told The Associated Press.
Yvonne Keefe, spokeswoman for the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office, confirmed Wednesday that a “very large investigation” into the party was underway. Police believe 200 to 400 young people were at the party, but investigators aren’t commenting on the role social media is playing in the probe, she said.
No arrests have been reported.
Holloway, a father of eight, said he used Twitter postings to compile 200 names of teens he said were at the party. He has been posting them on a website he created, http://www.helpmesave300.com, in an effort to get them to come forward, take responsibility for their actions and change their behavior.
“Any kids where this makes sense to go to a party like this and be a part of that, this kid’s in trouble,” he said.

A Newton County Sheriff’s deputy was arrested Thursday by federal police on accusations he sold Mary Jane, often from his marked county patrol car.
Darrell Mathis, 40, was charged with distributing Mary Jane and carrying a firearm in the furtherance of a drug trafficking offense, authorities said.
“This is an embarrassment to the Newton County Sheriff’s Office, as well as law enforcement in general,” Newton County Sheriff Ezell Brown said in a statement Friday.
U.S. Attorney Sally Quillian Yates said the case was a reminder that no one is above the law.
“This defendant used his position as a police officer to openly violate the very laws that he was sworn to uphold,” Yates said. “Selling Mary Jane out of his police car while wearing a badge and uniform is outrageous.”
“Outrageous” is one way to put it, we were thinkin’ more like “Effing stupid”, but ok.
According to the federal criminal complaint, the FBI learned in April that Mathis kept large amounts of the illicit drug out in the open at his Lithonia apartment and even bragged that he sold Mary Jane and didn’t worry because he “drives safely and flashes his police credentials to get out of tickets if he is stopped.”
He also admitted to selling between 10 and 15 pounds of Mary Jane a week, according to the federal criminal complaint.
Between May and September, federal authorities said Mathis sold Mary Jane to a confidential source working for the FBI and to an undercover FBI agent.
On August 8, FBI officials said Mathis sold a pound of Mary Jane to an undercover agent, then went with the agent to discuss selling more drugs to another undercover agent whom he believed was a drug dealer, according to the federal criminal complaint.
He took his deputy badge and gun to the meeting, and showed them to the undercover agents, saying, “Don’t worry, I’m on your side,” according to the criminal complaint.
If they find former-Officer Mathis guilty on all counts, he’s facing life in prison, and he definitely deserves it.

Is The Black Community To Blame For Mainstream Perception Of Black Entertainment?
Earlier this week, a screening was held at Manhattan’s SVA theater in NYC to premiere the upcoming film “Baggage Claim,” which stars Paula Patton, Derek Luke, Jenifer Lewis and Jill Scott, among other prominent African-American entertainers.
During a Q & A session with the cast following the viewing of the movie, the film’s director David E. Talbert (pictured above with wife & executive producer Lyn Talbert) made an interesting statement in response to a question on how to increase the presence of “black romantic comedies” like “Baggage Claim” in the mainstream film industry.
“Well, wait…..why does it have to be a “black” romantic comedy?” he responded. “Why can’t we just say “romantic comedy?” “It’s really just a relatable romantic comedy that just so happens to feature a predominantly African-American cast.”
Talbert then went on to address how we as a community often put ourselves in a box by how we describe our representation in mainstream entertainment, which inevitably contributes to the skewered perception that White America has of African-Americans in the entertainment industry.

Paul Craig Cobb wants to transform Leith, population 24, into a community that mirrors his white [only] views.
This weekend, white supr*mac*sts and others are expected to descend on the town in a show of support for him.
Cobb said he envisions Leith as a place where white nationalist banners will be flown, where white culture would be celebrated, and where minorities would not be welcome.
Cobb said he wants this movement to spread to other communities, other nations, even around the world, though he does not explain how he would do this.
“I don’t understand why all the different other people don’t say ‘whitey’ is pretty darn nice and clever,” Cobb said. “There are many organizations (in) which whites have to support other cultures… Where is the organization of people from around the world that says let’s keep these white people?”
We’ve got a better idea. How about ALL of the racist people of all races that seem to be coming out the woodwork lately be exiled to this barely-populated town and forced to live there together until they come to their senses?
