Lorenzo Riggins proved that the customer is not always correct when he called police because his McDonald’s order was shorted by one burger.
Riggins said he was hungry Tuesday night when he entered a McDonald’s in East Albany, Georgia.
He ordered seven McDoubles, one McChicken and a fries.
But when he got out to his car he realized that they got his order wrong: there were only six McDoubles in the bag.
So he went back in and asked for his order to be corrected, but the person behind the counter wasn’t giving out service with a smile.
‘She was trying to get an attitude with me and I said I’m going to call the police,’ Riggins told WALB.
Riggins carried out that threat relaying his story to 911 operators.
They heard out his story, asked him where he was and asked him to wait at the McDonald’s.When officers showed up, instead of confronting the McDonald’s employees they arrested Riggins for misusing 911.
‘I called the police and thinking that everything all cool by calling the police, I didn’t know I was misusing 911,’ he said.
Riggins was booked and spent a night in the Doughtery County Jail.
The next morning, a judge dropped his case saying the night in jail was enough punishment for the crime.‘It’s really not funny. It’s not,’ Albany EMA and 911 Deputy Director Jim Vaught said. ‘A person who was waiting to get a call in for an ambulance of a car wreck is having to wait – possibly.’
Vaught told KSDK that calling 911 is no joking matter, and does come with the threat of arrest if you misuse the line.
‘The thing you need to understand is that we have their telephone number and we have their voice recorded and we will turn it over to the police department and you will be prosecuted,’ Vaught warned.
While he’s upset about the incident,Riggins said that it won’t stop him from eating at McDonald’s again.
‘I would like to say check your food before you leave, always be careful when you go buy food anywhere you go,’ advised Riggins.

A judge has denied Benson bail in her current legal predicament — for allegedly barging into the home of ex hubby former Mets pitcher Kris Benson with a handgun and a metal baton and threatened to harm him if he didn’t hand over some loot.
As for why she was denied bail — turns out back in ’96 Anna was charged with murdering a man in Tennessee and she went on the lam for 5 months. Although the charges were ultimately dropped, the judge in the current case felt because of her conduct in ’96 Anna is a flight risk.
Anna wants out of the pokey so she can travel out of state for “mental and substance abuse evaluations.”
We know her husband is happy that bish is still in jail.

Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade is satisfied with the decision by a Miami-Dade County family court judge that forced him to turn over his two boys to his ex-wife, a source close to Wade tells Gossip Extra exclusively.
The reason for Wade’s approval?
In the same order Tuesday, Judge Antonio Marin also ordered Wade’s ex, Siohvaughn Funches, to undergo a psychological evaluation with an emphasis on anger control issues.
And Funches will have to attend family therapy with her and Wade’s 11-year-old son, Zaire.
Said Evan Marks, Wade’s Miami lawyer: “We are satisfied with the ruling.”
Marks declined to comment further after Wade and Funches agreed to stop talking trash about each other in public.
Wade had Zaire and the little one, Zion, taken to their mom within minutes of Monday’s hearing, Gossip Extra‘s source said.
The ball player received assurances from a neutral parenting coordinator that he’d be in touch with the kids on each day of their two-week visit.

Not all Catholic priests who abuse minors escape justice.
A California superior court judge sentenced Father Uriel Ojeda, 33, to eight years in state prison on Friday for molesting a teenage girl multiple times.
“My actions were those of a weak and sinful man,” Ojeda said in court.
Ojeda pleaded no contest to sneaking into the young girl’s bedroom at her parents’ Sacramento home on the night he was ordained and climbing into bed with her as she slept.
“You traumatized me,” the girl told him in a letter that was read in court by Deputy District Attorney Allison Dunham. “And you thought I would never tell anyone, didn’t you? But you thought wrong.”
According to the girl’s parents, Ojeda molested their daughter on 10 occasions, and the crimes took place between June 29, 2007, and June 30, 2009, the Sacramento Bee reported.
“I have committed a crime and a serious sin,” Ojeda told the judge as a group of roughly 30 of the well-liked priest’s supporters watched in stunned silence. “I would like to ask everybody for forgiveness and that they do find mercy for me.”
The Vatican announced that it has begun the process of defrocking Ojeda, who wore an orange prison jumpsuit in court.
“I’d like to, as a final act as priest, to apologize to all priests who serve faithfully before God, for bringing shame to the priesthood,” Ojeda said.

But that haircare endorsement might not! The owner and CEO of the company tells RadarOnline.com exclusively that they are shocked to find out about what Teresa’s been allegedly hiding from them — and now they’re considering firing her.
“This has been a surprising and shocking week for us,” Jerel James Sabella, the owner and CEO of Youthful8, The Milania Collection, tells Radar.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star and her husband Joe were indicted on 39 counts of financial fraud on Monday and are currently out on $500,00 bail.
Now that the allegations are out there, Sabella says, “I will be meeting with Teresa within the next few days to better understand the impact the pending trial will have on her, her family and specifically our brand. Based on that discussion, we will determine the next steps for The Milania Collection and whether she is the right person to continue to endorse the brand.”
So far, “The product line has been met with great success since its launch earlier this year,” Sabella explains.
And no matter what decision the company makes, he says: “Obviously this is a difficult time for the Giudice family and the team at Youthful8 and I wish them the very best.”

A 22-year-old teacher in New Jersey was arrested on Friday for allegedly having sexual contact with one of her 15-year-old students at Wall Township High School, where she is a 9th-grade English teacher.
A complaint filed against Warnick – who in addition to teaching at Wall Township High School, also graduated from the school – accuses her of aggravated criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child.
Warnick, who has been working as an at-home summer instructor since June, was arrested July 30 and released after posting $50,000 bail.
According to the criminal complaint, the incident was reported on July 14.
Monmouth County prosecutors would not provide further details.Charlie Webster, spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, told the Asbury Park Press that his office could not release any information as to how police were made aware of the alleged sexual contact between Warnick and the student.
‘It’s an ongoing investigation. The complaint will have to speak for itself,’ Webster said.
Wall Township Board of Education President Eva Applegate said she is aware of the allegations against Warnick, but also declined comment.
‘The board will be discussing the employee’s contract renewal in a closed session next week,’ Applegate said.
The teacher’s attorney, Alton Kenney says she will plead not guilty ‘because she is, in fact, not guilty.’ He says he expects her to be exonerated and return to work as a teacher.
Attorney James Maggs, who is assisting the boy’s family, says he has gone through a ‘horrible ordeal.’Warnick is due in court Aug. 6.

According to BOSSIP eyewitnesses at the club the rapper allegedly pulled a knife after being challenged by a club patron.
“We were at Park and apparently T.I. pulled a knife on some dudes that got too close in the club,” a source told BOSSIP. “I don’t know if he has security, but I saw a bunch of bouncers running downstairs and knew it was time to go. People told me he pulled out a knife in the open.”
