Man Sets Fire To Become A Firefighter
According to The NY Daily News
He just wanted to be a hero.
But Joseph Michael Brannen’s plan to become a firefighter spectacularly backfired — after he was busted for allegedly setting a blaze and then trying to help put it out.
Fire crews were called to East Hernando Branch Library in Brooksville, Florida, on July 6.
On arrival they found the 18-year-old decked out in firefighter gear and ready for action.
But with the flames soaring into the sky, they told the untrained wannabe to stay away from the area as it was too dangerous.
After putting out the fire, which caused more than $500,000 worth of damage, they then started to suspect Brannen was behind the whole incident.
The Sun-Sentinel reports that, during questioning, he confessed to the crime.
He thought that by helping out, in gear that he bought on eBay, it would guarantee him a job in the service.
Cops charged him with second-degree arson and he is currently being held at the Hernando County Jail on $3,000 bond.
Melissa Mazelin, who lives close to the library, branded Brannen as “very stupid.”
Meanwhile Kevin Carroll, Assistant Fire Chief for the Hernando County Fire Dept., said the fake fighter’s equipment, including his air tank, was probably out of date.
“We’re not sure what he had in this bottle, if anything at all,” Carroll told BayNews9.com.
“And if he had actually connected to it and there was not air in there, he could actually suffocate.”
Everybody wants to be a hero in today’s attention-slorin’ world. SMH.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … prosecutors will NOT charge Amanda with trespass, arson or any other criminal offense in connection with Monday’s bizarre driveway blaze. We’re told cops and prosecutors view her conduct as non-criminal and rooted in mental illness. We’re told the cops almost immediately decided Amanda needed professional help — not punishment.
But the troubled star is not out of the woods. She faces DUI charges in L.A. and reckless endangerment and sticky icky charges in NYC.
Amanda does need help, but it’s a wrap when you start setting fires and isht.

Minority Zimmerman Juror Speaks Out And Says He Got Away With Murder
The only minority on the 6-member all female jury who found child murderer George Zimmerman not guilty on all counts despite the fact that he stalked and then fatally gunned down unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin during an altercation is speaking out to tell her side of the story.
Not only was she the only minority on the jury, but she was also the sole member who came close to going against the other 5 women and forcing them to declare a hung jury.

The only minority on the all-female jury that voted to acquit George Zimmerman said today that Zimmerman “got away with murder” for killing Trayvon Martin and feels she owes an apology Martin’s parents.
She said the jury was following Florida law and the evidence, she said, did not prove murder.
“You can’t put the man in jail even though in our hearts we felt he was guilty,” said the woman who was identified only as Juror B29 during the trial. “But we had to grab our hearts and put it aside and look at the evidence.”
The court had sealed the jurors’ identities during the trial and still hasn’t lifted the order, but Juror B29 edged out of the shadows in an exclusive interview with “Good Morning America” anchor Robin Roberts. She allowed her face to be shown, but — concerned for her safety — used only a first name of Maddy.
The nursing assistant and mother of eight children was selected as a juror five months after she had moved to Seminole County, Fla., from Chicago.
Despite the prosecution’s claim the Zimmerman profiled Martin because he was black, Maddy said the case was never about race to her, although she didn’t want to speak for her fellow jurors.
But her feelings about Zimmerman’s actions are clear.
“George Zimmerman got away with murder, but you can’t get away from God. And at the end of the day, he’s going to have a lot of questions and answers he has to deal with,” Maddy said. “[But] the law couldn’t prove it.”
“Maddy” also revealed during the sit down with Robin Roberts that she was the one who almost caused the a “hung jury” verdict because she didn’t feel Zimmerman should be able to kill someone without getting charged. Man Kills Cat And Leaves It Outside Love Rival’s Home
According to Mail Online
A man has been accused of beating his girlfriend’s cat to death and dumping its bloody body outside his love rival’s home before leaving a note on the man’s car reading: ‘You’re next.’
Johnen Velez, 19, was arrested after the dead cat was found in a pillow case that had been tied around a railing outside a home in Manchester, Connecticut on October 26 last year.
A necropsy found internal injuries in the cat’s abdomen were consistent with blunt force trauma, according to Velez’s arrest warrant.
When the man who lives at the home went outside his apartment, he also found the threatening note on his car.
Velez and the man had both dated the same woman but she had broken up with him a few weeks before the incident. She wanted to reunite with the other man, the Hartford Courant reported.
Local media put out pleas for Velez’s arrest in March after he was identified as the alleged cat killer and he was arrested in April.
He pleaded no contest on Wednesday to the charge of cruelty to animals after the sick crime.
He denied involvement and said that a woman who had admitted to harming the cat when to police, but they did not take a statement.
But prosecutor Anthony Bochicchio said that DNA evidence was found linking Velez to the bag in which the cat was found and his fingerprints were on the threatening note.
When his former girlfriend was interviewed by police, she said he had sent a threatening message in the past.
Velez, who is from Hartford, also pleaded guilty to third-degree assault from an unrelated case and was sentenced to five years in prison with four years of parole.
The assault charge stems from a fight Velez was in on a bus on Aug. 13, 2012. He was on probation at the time.

How are you sane for 10 hours and then go crazy just like that? Obviously, she needs stronger drugs. At least she is with people who can help her.

Amanda Bynes has been true to form in the hospital where she’s being held on a psychiatric hold — she’s completely lucid for long stretches, and then goes off the handle crazy.
Sources with knowledge of the situation tell TMZ … doctors have already determined Amanda is suffering from a severe mental illness “with schizophrenic tendencies.” We’re told she’s aware “there’s a good Amanda and a bad Amanda.” When she talks about the bad Amanda she almost mimics an exorcism, pulling at her body as if to remove the demon, and even biting herself.
We’re told yesterday Amanda was lucid for 10 hours — she was kind, quiet and nice. During that 10 hour period the staff questioned her about the fire she started Monday and her personality changed radically. She got frustrated and “shut down.” But she still remained “normal.”
After 10 hours of normal, out of nowhere, her eyes widened, she started to grill the staff about her dog (the one she soaked in gasoline). The staff then told her the dog was safe with her parents, and Amanda went nuts, saying “They’ll kill it, just like they tried to kill me.” This went on for an hour.
Amanda then got incoherent and so out of control she had to be physically restrained.
And, we’re told, Amanda was extensively drug-tested, and everything came up negative, except for sticky icky.
And there’s this. Initially Amanda was placed with another female patient, but she started berating and insulting her to the point they removed Bynes and put her in a room by herself.
Amanda needs to be locked up…..with all those crazy people in jail, she will have no choice but to act right.

Horror cable network Chiller has set the ensemble cast for the Drew Barrymore-produced movie, Animal.
Produced by Flower Films, Keke Palmer (Joyful Noise) will topline the original feature, currently in production in Manchester, Conn., The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
Animal follows a group of close-knit friends who find themselves stranded in unfamiliar territory, pursued by a blood-thirsty predator. Holed up in isolated cabin, tensions mount as secrets are revealed. As the body count rises, the group puts their differences aside and fights for survival.
Eve (Barbershop), Amaury Nolasco (Prison Break), Parker Young (Enlisted), Joey Lauren Adams (Chasing Amy), Elizabeth Gillies (Victorious), Paul Iacono (The Hard Times of R.J. Berger), Thorsten Kaye (Smash) and Jeremy Sumpter (Friday Night Lights) have also joined the cast.

We’re glad Beyonce cleared the air. We thought the Beyhive was going to stage a protest or go batisht crazy. You know how some of her fans get down.
According to The Huffington Post
A representative for Beyonce categorically denied a new report in The Hollywood Reporter about supposed delays to the singer’s fifth studio album on Wednesday, telling The Huffington Post that an official release date had never been set.
Beyonce is recording music in the studio while completing her Mrs. Carter World Tour, the representative said in a phone call to HuffPost. A press rollout will accompany any official release date (and, if need be, any official delays).
The 31-year-old singer has been working on the forthcoming album for some time now, her first since she released “4″ in 2011. While she has performed new music in the form of ad campaigns with H&M and Pepsi, she has yet to debut an official single off of the record.
That album better be straight fire.
