Whitney Houston’s family is in panic mode over news that the singer’s troubled daughter Bobbi Kristina plans on marrying her “adopted brother,” say sources.
The 20-year-old, called Krissi by pals, has publicly announced her engagement to Nick Gordon, who was raised by the late Grammy-winning singer. And that has her 79-year-old grandmother Cissy Houston and other family members fearing for Whitney’s fortune, the sources add.
“Cissy’s worst fears are coming true,” a Houston family insider told The ENQUIRER. “She never trusted Nick and says he’s an opportunist with no job. She’s convinced that he’s only marrying Krissi to get a piece of Whitney’s $20 million estate.”
The family keeps a close eye on the youngster, who’s been plagued by emotional problems since her mom’s tragic drug overdose death on Feb. 11, 2012.

Cold World: WNBA Baller Britney Griner Recalls Being Bullied And Ridiculed In School By Boys Calling Her “A Dude”

There’s no doubt that Brittney Griner, an WNBA basketball player, has had to stand up for herself — on the court and off.
The Phoenix Mercury player, who revealed she was a lesbian before the WNBA draft in April, opened up in a new interview with the LA Times that growing up in Houston, Texas, she wasn’t always truly accepted by her peers. In fact, the 6 foot 8 inch athlete tells the newspaper that there were classmates who refused to believe she was a girl and taunted her verbally.
Recalling a moment when a boy stopped her in the hallway and called her “a dude,” Griner tells the paper: “I just stood there and took it. I was humiliated. The whole school was laughing at me.”
She was an easy target, she says because: “I was always taller, my feet were always bigger and my voice was deeper.”
During Wednesday, July 17′s ESPY Awards, Griner was still faced with bullies, this time via Twitter. At the show, where the 22-year-old won the Best College Athlete Award, online bullies slammed the star throughout the night — writing that Griner should win for Best Male Athlete instead.
Back in 2012, bullies also questioned her decision to not compete in the Olympic games, suggesting that maybe Griner wouldn’t have passed the gender tests. (A gender verification test involves evaluations by gynecologists, endocrinologists, psychologists, and internal medicine specialists to ensure that the athlete is the gender they claim.)
“I wanted to stay in school,” she shared of her choice to not compete in London. “My mom, she’s sick. I just wanted to see her. It was just stupid. People are always going to come up with dumb stuff and rumors that they don’t actually know the truth to.”

Update: Kanye West has been named a felony suspect in the LAX attack Friday afternoon … TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … police suspect Kanye committed an attempted robbery when he assaulted a photog at the airport and tried to jack his camera.
The case has now been transferred to the Robbery Homicide Unit and cops are currently putting a file together.
Our sources say the case will be referred to the L.A. County D.A. for possible prosecution.
The victim was taken to the hospital after the attack. His condition is unknown.
As previously reported, Kanye West allegedly attacked another photog at LAX moments ago — and it’s so bad … paramedics are on scene.
Sources connected with the photog tell us, Kanye was on his way out of the airport when he went ballistic, attacking the paparazzo.
An eyewitness tells us, Kanye was leaving the terminal with a bodyguard and approximately five paparazzi surrounded him, snapping pictures. We’re told one photog was especially aggressive — not a TMZ photog — and probed Kanye with tons of questions.
We’re told Kanye told the man not to ask him questions, but he kept going — and Kanye attacked, attempting several punches, and the man fell down. Paramedics and police are currently on scene.
Kanye has been out of the country since last week … when he laid down his now-infamous anti-pap rules, telling our photog NEVER TO TALK TO HIM EVER.
The extent of the photog’s injuries are unclear. Kanye is nowhere to be seen.
We’re not cosigning his behavior, but if someone asks you to leave them alone, you should. Still all that flipping out and causing paramedics to be called is extreme.

Trayvon was not a thug simply because he walked slowly down the street in a hoodie and was minding his own business. George Zimmerman is the thug because he followed Trayvon for no damn reason and shot him.

Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson expressed his extreme displeasure on CNN tonight over how the Trayvon Martin case has been covered in the media. He railed against “race hustlers” like Al Sharpton and told Piers Morgan the media is irresponsibly making Martin out to be some kind of “innocent little kid” instead of, in his opinion, being honest about Martin being a young thug.
Peterson said that people like Sharpton and President Obama have only injected themselves into this case to “incite the anger of black Americans and others,” adding that they’ve been “using black Americans by dividing the races” and “intimidating white people to get more power.”
Morgan asked Peterson if the outcome would have been the same if instead of Martin, it had been a young white man like Mark Zuckerberg in a hoodie. Peterson said it wouldn’t have mattered, and shot down the “absolute lie” that Martin was “some innocent little kid, tip-toeing through the tulips.” He declared, “Trayvon Martin was a thug. His parents know that, you know that, I know that.”
It’s not only these tragic cases that hurt black people, but Uncle Toms like this who tear their communities down rather than build it up.

Amanda Bynes was unceremoniously ejected from a Ritz-Carlton in NYC Thursday after allegedly smoking that mean green in her hotel room and being so rude to hotel staff … she made one poor girl cry …sources tell TMZ.
Amanda begs to differ, telling us she left the hotel voluntarily — and does NOT smoke that sticky icky.
Our sources say Amanda was a nightmare from the get-go, smoking drugs everyday despite warnings from hotel staff. We’re told Amanda tried using spray chemicals to mask the sticky icky smell.
But that’s not it … we’re told Amanda was unspeakably rude to the hotel staff, telling the front desk girl she was “too ugly” to check her in. We’re told Amanda then offered her plastic surgeon’s services to the desk girl in question … and the tears started flowing.
The bad behavior continued until Thursday …. Amanda was scheduled to check out at noon, but the hotel staff had had enough … and kicked her out several hours before mandatory check out.
In case you’re wondering where Amanda’s going next — we’re told she was last seen getting into a cab headed to LaGuardia Airport … bound for L.A..
Damn, that’s hardcore telling the girl she’s ugly and then offering her the plastic surgeon’s number. Amanda should take that same number, call her plastic surgeon and asks for her old nose back.

People Aint Isht: Four Men Held Hostage In Houston Dungeon For 10 Years So Captor Could Cash Their Welfare Checks

According to Mail Online
Four men have been found living in ‘deplorable’ conditions in a north Houston home, where police say they were being kept captive so a suspect could claim their welfare checks.
The men, including a military vet, were so malnourished they were almost invalids, according to police who were tipped off by a neighbor.
Three of the men were found in the garage, where they allegedly were forced to sleep on the linoleum floor, and a fourth was found in a room that had locks on the door and window.
Police believe the alleged victims, who were aged 54, 65, 74 and 79, may have been homeless and that they were being kept at the house so the suspect, who has been arrested, could cash their welfare checks.
Sergeant Steve Murdock told the Houston Chronicle that residents in the house had been taking the men’s social security checks.
A man in his 40s, who is not believed to live at the house, has been arrested but no charges have been made.
Houston police were tipped off about the men by a neighbor, and then called at the house at about 8.30am to do a welfare check.
Sergeant J W McCoy added: ‘One of [the men] seemed to think he was just picked up off the street, kind of recruited to come and stay here.’
‘In exchange for beer and cigarettes, and a place to stay, he had to turn over his social security checks,’ he told ABC 13.
It’s sad these men were taken advantage of for being old, naive, and homeless. It’s especially sad that a military vet was homeless…America should have took care of him. Evil does not discriminate.
