Jaden Smith doesn’t even have his driver’s license, but he is ready to buy his own home and get emancipated from his famous parents.

In a new interview with The Sun, Will Smith reveals that his 14-year-old son and After Earth costar recently told him that he wants legal freedom and independence from him and Jada Pinkett so he can buy his own house and live alone – and RadarOnline.com has the details.

Will explains that Jaden, who will be celebrating his 15th birthday in July and is close pals with 19-year-old Justin Bieber, asked for a very unique gift.

“He says, ‘Dad, I want to be emancipated.’ I know if we do this, he can be an emancipated minor, because he really wants to have his own place, like ‘Ooh,’” Will explained.

“That’s the backlash. On the other side, if kids just want to have command of their lives, I understand.”

Will, who has two other children, Willow, 12, and Trey, 19, reveals he has a laid back approach to parenting and doesn’t believe in reprimanding his kids.

“We generally don’t believe in punishment,” he says. “From the time Jaden was five or six, we would sit him down, and all he has to do is be able to explain why what he did was the right thing for his life. I think it’s a much more difficult question to ask someone —’Why was that right?’ — than to try to show them why it was wrong.

“Nobody wants to be wrong, all parts of yourself fight like crazy to not be wrong. So I’ll say to Jaden, ‘Why was that the right thing to do for your life?’ and if he can explain why kicking his sister in the chest was the right thing to do, we can see to it that he understands that it wasn’t so smart.”

Conservative Says Feminism Is At War With Mother Nature

Calling her a “typical feminist,” conservative activist Phyllis Schlafly devoted a radio address to deriding Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg and her book, Lean In, saying it illustrated what Schlafly called problems with feminism.

“Too many women come to their senses only after age 40 and then find it’s too late to have a husband or children,” Schlafly said. “Feminism is at war with Mother Nature, and Mother Nature is still winning.”

Schlafly said the smarter thing to do for women was to ignore the advice of “feminists and women’s studies courses” and decide on how to compromise between starting a family and pursuing a career, instead of putting professional goals first.

“She thinks women “sabotage” themselves by not pursuing career opportunities as aggressively as men do,” Schlafly said of Sandberg. “However, Sandberg’s feminist arguments and conclusions are at odds with what most women really want out of life.”

Sandberg’s observation in Lean In that not enough women were in high-level positions, Schlafly said, was a “typical feminist complaint.”

Couple Sues Doctors Over Son’s Surgery

The adopted parents of a boy in South Carolina announced on Tuesday that they were suing the South Carolina Department of Social Services (SCDSS), social workers and doctors for forcing their son, who was born with both male and female sex organs, to undergo sexual-reassignment surgery when he was 16-months-old.

At a press conference in Columbia, Pam and Mark Crawford said that they had filed the first-of-its-kind suit on behalf of their now-8-year-old son, who they called M.C., because they wanted to “put other doctors on notice.”

Court documents obtained by Lexington Patch allege that doctors elected to perform a painful and unnecessary surgery to assign M.C. to the female gender after they came to the conclusion that he “was a true hermaphrodite but that there was no compelling reason that she should either be male or female.”

The document explains that M.C. was identified as a male at birth until doctors determined that he also had “ambiguous genitals,” including both male and female internal reproductive structures. SCDSS took over care for M.C. after his father abandoned him and his mother was determined to be an unfit parent. The lawsuit claims that SCDSS and doctors caring for M.C. made the decision to cut his male phallus down to the size of a clitoris, remove one testicle and construct a labia, causing “significant and permanent impairment of sexual function.”

The lawsuit argues that doctors and the state violated substantive and procedural due process rights guaranteed by the 14th Amendment. It also says that doctors committed malpractice when they failed to obtain informed consent from the foster service that was caring for M.C.

“It’s became more and more difficult as his identity has become more clearly male,” Pam Crawford explained. “The idea that mutilation has been done to him has become more and more real. There was no medical reason that this decision had to be made at that time. There was no threat to his life.”

“I would have never made the decision to choose the gender either way,” she added.

Southern Poverty Law Center attorney Alesdair H. Ittelson, who filed the lawsuit on behalf of the Crawfords, said that the “case is about ensuring the safety of all children who do not have a voice.”

“No one advocated for M.C.’s right to be free from unnecessary medical intervention at a time when the state was entrusted with his safety and well-being,” Ittelson remarked. It is high time all involved answer for the needless injury they inflicted on M.C.”

We couldn’t imagine being born with both male and female parts. Life for this child is going to already be hard enough. This operation has just made it even harder.

23-Year-Old Man Raped And Tortured To Death

A 23-year-old man has been tortured to death in Russia in an apparent homophobic attack, investigators said Sunday, amid growing fears by rights groups that anti-gay sentiments are on the rise in the country.

The victim’s battered and naked body was found in the courtyard of an apartment building in the southern city of Volgograd on Friday morning, said a spokeswoman for regional investigators.

The young man had suffered numerous injuries, including to the genitalia, and had been sexually assaulted with several beer bottles.

“He was raped with beer bottles and had his skull smashed with a stone,” Natalia Kunitskaya, a spokeswoman for the Volgograd region branch of the Investigative Committee, told AFP.

She confirmed the attack was believed to have been a hate crime, in a rare admission from Russian law enforcement agencies on the sensitive issue of homophobia in the country.

Two men aged 22 and 27 have been detained in connection with the attack, the Moscow-based Investigative Committee said in a statement on Saturday. One of the suspects has a criminal history, investigators said.

The victim was said to have been drinking with the two men, apparently while celebrating Victory Day which Russia marks on May 9.

Regional investigator Andrei Gapchenko told Echo of Moscow radio on Saturday that two men started beating the victim after he told them he was gay.

The Investigative Committee’s tersely-worded statement said investigators had opened a murder probe, without commenting on possible motives for the killing.

Russia decriminalized homosexuality in 1993 and officially removed it from the list of psychiatric disorders in 1999.

But homophobia remains widespread and socially acceptable, and almost no public figures have come out as gay.

Several Russian regions have outraged rights campaigners by approving local laws banning “gay propaganda” among minors, in legislation which is now being discussed at the federal parliament.

President Vladimir Putin, who prides himself on his macho image, has repeatedly denied that Russia was violating gay rights.

But he recently warned that Russia could change agreements for the adoption of Russian children with Western countries that are legalising gay marriage, such as France.

Nikolai Alexeyev, the head of Gay Russia, a group working to raise the profile of gay rights, expressed concern that the Kremlin’s official rhetoric and recent legislative initiatives could be fuelling intolerance.

“Homophobic hysteria is being increasingly promoted in Russia,” he told AFP.

He said attacks against homosexuals are widespread in the country but are almost never investigated as hate crimes.

LeSean McCoy Sued For Assault

NFL superstar has been sued by a woman who claims the running back humiliated her on a party bus — sprayed her with a beverage — and then booted her from the ride on the side of the Jersey Turnpike.

According to the lawsuit filed by a woman using the alias “Mary Roe” … the Philadelphia Eagles RB had invited 15 women to join him on a party bus that went from Philly to a NYC nightclub on December 18, 2012.

During the trip, the lawsuit alleges, McCoy, along with his bodyguard and a couple of other guys, began to spray some of the women with water.

Roe claims she protested the water spraying … so McCoy ordered his bodyguard Big John to “get her.”

In the suit, filed May 10 in Philadelphia, the woman claims McCoy and/or Big John proceeded to hit her in the face, causing her to fall to the ground.

While she was on the floor, the men allegedly physically restrained her and poured a beverage onto her hair, clothes and body.

And if things couldn’t get worse … the woman claims McCoy and Big John then forcibly ejected her from the party bus on the side of the New Jersey Turnpike.

But some of the women allegedly complained to McCoy about Roe getting the boot — so she was snatched back up from the side of the road and placed back on the bus.

The woman claims she was taken to a nearby rest stop — where the football player once again ditched her — and continued on with his party trip.

Roe is now suing for more than $50,000 in damages for assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false imprisonment and negligence. Roe says she suffered head trauma, a disc protrusion on her spine, bad sprains, contusions and bruises all over her body, and severe shock.

New Jersey State Police Sergeant Brian Polite tells us … officers did meet with a woman at a rest stop near the Jersey Turnpike on December 19, who claimed she had an altercation with a male on a party bus.

Sgt. Polite tells us … during the initial meeting with the accuser, she never named McCoy as her attacker.

LeSean McCoy is adamant … he NEVER assaulted a woman on a party bus back in December — and claims his accuser is just trying to shake him down for some cash.

TMZ spoke with McCoy’s lawyer, Andrew M. Smith, who tells us, “The allegations against LeSean McCoy are completely, unequivocally false.”

Smith continues, “There are no criminal charges pending [against McCoy] and no probable cause was ever found.”

McCoy’s lawyer says, “This is sadly an attempt to extract money and LeSean will vigorously defend any attempt to collect money through a personal injury claim.”

How do you wait until like five months later to sue for assault? Ho sit down.

Identity Theft Criminals Arrested After Posting Instagram Picture

Identity thief didn’t make a very good job of concealing his own identity after investigators were able to track him down through a picture he posted on Instagram of his steak dinner.

Nathaniel Troy Maye, 44, of Harlem, New York, and his partner Tiwanna Tenise Thomason, 39, of Miramar, pleaded guilty to aggravated identity theft and possession of unauthorized access devices on Friday in federal court in Fort Lauderdale.

In a judicial first, the Instagram photo of a steak and macaroni and cheese dinner was cited as evidence in the federal felony complaint.

IRS agents had few clues about the man who called himself Troy early on in the investigation but finally got their break through the help of the photo sharing website.

On January 7, a witness working undercover for the IRS met Maye and Thomason at Morton’s steakhouse in Fort Lauderdale, the Sun Sentinel reports.

He was supposed to hand over a flash drive containing 50,000 identities which he believed would be used to file fraudulent income tax returns.

When the handover was made at the restaurant, the drive contained only 50 identities. But IRS agents were also able to find hidden data linking the drive to a ‘Troy Maye”.

When a special agent searched online, she found an Instagram profile for ‘TROYMAYE’ who, on January 7, posted a picture of a steak and macaroni and cheese meal which he captioned ‘Morton’s’.

His profile picture also matched the description the witness gave.

When they were arrested at Thomason’s apartment, they found two flash drives containing around 50,000 illegally obtained identities.

They face up to a dozen years in federal prison and large fines for stealing and attempting to sell 700,000 identities.

One thing is for sure, he won’t be having steak dinners in prison.

This is a brave new world. People are using anything they can get their hands on to try to whack people.

Man Beaten With Skateboard

A man beaten with skateboards is in critical condition in southern California. On May 13, The Boston Globe reported that seven boys (under the age of 18) have been detained by police following this incident. Some (or all) of the boys could face “attempted murder” charges pending the investigation.

The whole thing started when a woman tried to break up a fight on Friday night. “Police Lt. Chad Nichols says the skateboarders turned on the woman, and her boyfriend intervened and was chased to a nearby coin laundry and beaten with skateboards. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition,” reported The Boston Globe.

Getting beaten with skateboards is very serious because it’s really no different from beating someone with a piece of wood — except skateboards have metal pieces and wheels that can easily hurt someone. According to CBS Los Angeles, the man was 25-years-old and his girlfriend witnessed the altercation. He was “nearly beaten to death” according to their report.

Four of the seven kids that were detained have been arrested. All four of them were already on probation for “various crimes” according to police. It is unknown if police are still questioning the other boys or if they intend to arrest any more of them.

The man beaten with skateboards is listed in “extremely critical condition.”

We can’t imagine how painful that must have been. Glad they caught the bastards.

Aretha Franklin Cancels Concerts On Doctors’ Orders

Music superstar ARETHA FRANKLIN cancels concerts per doctors’ orders as fans fear the worst.

“Due to her doctor’s recommendation for treatment,” Aretha canceled two upcoming concerts according to her official Facebook page.

Franklin, 71, was scheduled to perform this Monday May 20th at Members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra to celebrate the 24th annual Corporate Night and from a gig at Foxwoods Resorts and Casino.

Aretha has been plagued by health problems in recent years but did not disclose the condition for which her medical team is recommending treatment.

In December 2010, she underwent surgery for a pain in her side that “was so hard it almost brought me to my knees” Franklin told media.

Man Awakes From The Dead At Funeral

Mourners at a funeral in Zimbabwe were stunned when the dead man woke up as they filed by his coffin, state media reported today.

Brighton Dama Zanthe, 34, was being laid to rest inside a coffin last Monday after he apparently died at his home following a long illness.

But the next day Mr Zanthe’s friends and relatives scattered in disbelief when he started moving as they filed past to say their emotional goodbyes.

The dead man’s boss Lot Gaka told the Herald of the moment he realized his employee was still alive.

He said: ‘I was the first to notice Zanthe’s moving legs as I was in the queue to view his body. This shocked me.

‘At first I could not believe my eyes but later realized that there was indeed some movements on the body as other mourners retreated in disbelief.’

Mr Gaka, who runs a bus company in the midlands city of Gweru, told the newspaper Mr Zanthe had been persistently unwell before his ‘death’ last week.

He told how he visited the family’s home to offer support when his employee’s wife called to say he had passed away.

He said: ‘Zanthe had been on sick leave for some time and everyone at work was aware that he was critical.

‘We would visit him at his home.

‘I was not surprised when I received a call from Zanthe’s wife on Monday night last week saying that her husband had died.’

He added: ‘I visited two local funeral parlors for quotations before I drove to Zanthe’s house so that we could take the body to the mortuary.

‘It was during the body viewing procession that he “resurrected”.’

Another witness told the state-controlled newspaper how the family desperately pulled blankets off Mr Zanthe’s body to try to revive him after realizing he was still alive.

He said: ‘Gaka later removed some blankets from Zanthe’s body after we noticed some movements and this was when we all realized that there was still life.

‘We then called an ambulance which came within seven minutes.

‘It’s really a miracle and most people are still in disbelief.’

Nick Young Sued For Sexual Assault

A woman is suing Philadelphia 76ers star Nick Young for sexual assault — claiming he roofied her back in 2011 … then raped her vaginally and anally.

The woman filed the lawsuit anonymously under the name Jane Doe, claiming she ran into Young at Crown Bar in West Hollywood … and he bought her and her friend champagne.

According to the suit, the woman’s recollection of the evening ceased shortly after she downed the drink … and she believes it’s because Young had slipped the date rape drug gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid (GHB) into it.

The woman claims she woke up the next morning in Young’s bed, bleeding from her vagina and rectum.

She says Young admitted to having sex with her the night before, but claimed he stopped because she passed out.

According to the suit, the woman demanded to be taken home by Young — he obliged — and she beelined for the UCLA Santa Monica Rape Treatment Center, where she took a rape kit and was tested for STDs. She claims a test at the center confirmed she had been drugged, and determined the injuries to her vagina and rectum were consistent with rape.

Following the hospital treatment, the woman says she’s continued to undergo psychiatric evaluations.

She’s suing Young for sexual battery, sexual assault, false imprisonment, and more — demanding unspecified damages. She’s also suing Crown Bar for negligence.

Looks like these athletes are taking Rick Ross’ advice about slippin’ ish in a female’s drink to heart. Its gonna be tough for him to get out of this. Unlike other cases this woman went through the trouble of getting a rape kit. No woman goes through that unless they truly believe they have been violated.

The television talk show host sounded off on the relationship between the pregnant 32-year-old E! reality star and her hip hop baby daddy on Watch What Happens Live, telling host Andy Cohen that she believes they’ll split up soon after the baby is born later this year.

“She and Kanye will not make and what kind of mom will she be? A single mom,” Williams stated, predicting they will split “30 seconds after the baby is born.”

Williams even joked that she thinks the Kardashians are already planning the break-up and that Kim’s momager, Kris Jenner, is helping to orchestrate the affair!

Williams said: “I believe right now there is probably a plan in motion and Kris is probably helping Kim and Kim is probably asking for the help.”

The outspoken FOX star said she believes that Kanye, who has spent most of Kim’s pregnancy recording his latest album in Paris, is already fed up with the publicity-obsessed family.

“I think Kanye’s about sick of all of it and he might think he has invested too much into this family and he is not going to win,” Williams continued.

“You are not going to pull a Kardashian away from Kardashians. They just don’t really understand what it’s like to give up for other people.”

White Kids To Be The Minority

According to CNN Money

White, non-Hispanic kids will no longer make up the majority of America’s youth in just five to six years, according to Census Bureau projections released Wednesday.

Those projections, which include four different scenarios for population growth, estimate that today’s minority ethnic groups will soon account for at least half of the under-18 population, either in 2018 or 2019.

“This is going to start from the bottom of the age distribution and move its way up,” said William Frey, demographer and senior fellow for the Brookings Institution. “All of these projections show we’re moving to greater diversity in the United States.”

Already, more than half of American babies being born belong to racial and ethnic groups traditionally thought of as “minorities” — which means it could soon be time to toss that word out completely.

By the time those kids grow up to become adults — sometime between 2036 and 2042 — everyone in the working-age population (ages 18 to 64) will be a member of a group that comes up short of the 50% line.

Demographers call it a “minority-majority.” No one single racial or ethnic group will make up more than half of the population.

White, non-Hispanic people currently make up about 63% of the entire United States population. Starting in 2041, they’ll account for less than half, according to projections.

The Census Bureau said international migration will eventually surpass births, becoming the single largest driver of population growth by 2050. Births have been the main catalyst for U.S. population growth since at least 1850, when the Census Bureau started gathering the information.

“Our nation has had higher immigration rates in the past, particularly during the great waves of the late 19th and early 20th centuries,” Thomas Mesenbourg, Census Bureau senior adviser, said in a written statement. “This projected milestone reflects the mix of our nation’s declining fertility rates, the aging of the baby boomer population and continued immigration.”

Meanwhile, as the population ages and lifespans grow longer, the share of America’s population that’s of working age is on the decline. As of last year, people ages 18 to 64 accounted for roughly 63% of the U.S. population, but by 2060, their share could fall to 57%. Unless the retirement age also rises, that could cause a big problem for funding entitlement programs like Social Security and Medicare.
