Gucci Mane Released From Jail

According to TMZ

Rapper Gucci Mane has just been released from jail in Georgia after spending nearly three weeks behind bars, TMZ has learned.

As we reported, Gucci was arrested April 13th for a probation violation. He’s been in jail since.

Gucci’s attorney, Drew Findling, tells us, the probation violation was triggered by a March 25th incident at an Atlanta nightclub … when Gucci allegedly bottled a clubgoer in the head, causing a massive gash.

Gucci was charged with aggravated assault in connection with the incident. That case is still pending.

He’s due in court later this month.

We’re betting the first thing Gucci wants as a free man is a “very freaky girl.”

Reese Witherspoon wasn’t kidding when she told GMA she was “saying all kinds of crazy things” … and TMZ has obtained the entire, unbelievably entertaining dash cam video.

The footage, obtained from law enforcement sources, shows the officer arresting Reese’s husband Jim Toth for DUI in the early morning hours of April 19.

Reese — who since admitted she was hammered at the time — decided to butt in during the arrest … and the officer obviously wasn’t having it and cartoonishly enforced the law with a vengeance.

In fact, the cop warned Reese several times to sit down and be quiet so he could focus on Jim — Witherspoon didn’t exactly comply.

Instead, Reese got in the officer’s face … and annoyed him to the point that he arrested her for disorderly conduct. Here are some of Reese’s finest quotes during the incident:

Reese: “Do you know my name sir?”
Officer: “Don’t need to know.”
Reese “You don’t NEED to know my name?”
Officer: “Not quite yet.”

During the arrest, Reese also told the cop she was pregnant and needed to pee. She later confessed on “GMA” that she panicked and said “crazy things” because her husband was being arrested.

Southern California Wildfire Prompts Evacuation

A Southern California wildfire grew from 10 acres to more than 6,500 acres in a mere five hours Thursday, prompting the evacuation of homes and the campus of California State University Channel Islands, officials said.

Winds reaching 25 mph aided the Springs Fire in Ventura County, and weather conditions grounded fixed-wing air tankers, allowing only helicopters to drop water, fire officials said.

The blaze was 0% contained Thursday evening, officials said.

Meanwhile, authorities late Thursday afternoon reopened a nine-mile leg of California’s scenic Pacific Coast Highway just north of Malibu, the California Highway Patrol said. The patrol had shut it down for a few hours as the fire threatened to approach the coast. That affected portions of the highway that runs between the ocean and the Santa Monica Mountains.

The fire was one of two wildfires that firefighters were battling in the Los Angeles area. The other one was east of the city in Riverside County.

The Ventura County blaze prompted the evacuation of homes in Newbury Park, fire authorities said. More than 850 fire and law personnel were assigned to the growing conflagration that began near Camarillo, where Cal State Channel Islands is located.

The university campus will remain closed through Friday, the school said.

Equipment included 96 fire engines, six helicopters and three fixed-wing aircraft, authorities said.

In the evacuated Dos Vientos neighborhood, firefighters took a preventive posture beside million-dollar, Spanish mission style houses with red tile roofs. Flare-ups rose 15 feet behind backyards, but no houses had caught fire by about noon local time.

But her road to romance hasn’t been easy. The actress called off her engagement to entrepreneur Keith Britton in 2011 after 11 years together. She then began dating Cooper, her costar in 2012′s The Words, on-and-off for about one year before calling it quits for good in January 2013.

Despite the heartache, Saldana says she’s ready to date again. “I’m not one of these people who’s going, ‘Oh, because I was with someone for so long I need to take a break,’” she explains. “What if love is just around the corner?”

Bossip Talks To Hot 97 Team About Summer Jam 2013

BOSSIP was in the building yesterday as Hot 97′s Angie Martinez announced the official line up for this year’s Summer Jam 2013 20th Anniversary concert. In case you missed the official on-air line-up announcement, the list of Hip Hop heavy hitters that will be performing on the Summer Jam main stage are: Wu Tang Clan, Miguel,Kendrick Lamar, Chris Brown, Wale, Fabolous, 2 Chainz, French Montana, A$AP Rocky and Joe Budden.

As is common every year at Summer Jam, the confirmed artists will  not be the only music industry heavyweights to grace the stage, as Summer Jam artists are known for bringing “surprise guests” along with them .

We caught up with a few members of the Hot 97 team to get the inside scoop on who else could hit the stage, what they think of the line up, and even got them to dish on the current status of their much-talked about “beef” with YMCMB rapstress Nicki Minaj and whether or not she’d be welcome.

Hot 97 Radio Personality & DJ Cipha Sounds: I think, personally, French [Montana] is gonna tear the stage down. He’s got a couple of the biggest hits this year, he’s from New York and New Yorkers are thirsty for like, a New York artist to be that number one dude in the game. So when he touches that stage, it’s gonna be mele in there.

But, I officially think that Wu Tang is gonna be the takers of the night because everybody loves Wu. All the barriers….race, age….are gonna be broken down.

Hot 97 Radio Personality & “Gossip Game” Reality Star K. Foxx: This is my 3rd Summer Jam working [for Hot97] but, I’m born and raised in New York so, I’ve been to Summer Jam before numerous times and it’s legendary.

I’m super duper excited about Chris Brown. I love his energy, love the new joint that he has out right now. Miguel, hands down. Love Miguel, love his album, love everything about him. Of course Wu-Tang, that’s gonna be chaos and pandemonium and classic hip-hop all rolled up in to one. So, that’s gonna be an amazing journey that they take us through.

Teen Dumps Baby In The Trash

Lancaster police said they have arrested a McCaskey East High School student who gave birth in a school restroom and then left the baby in a trash can.

Cherlie LaFleur, 19, was arraigned Wednesday night on a misdemeanor count of concealing the death of a child. She was then committed to Lancaster County Prison on $1 million bail.

Police said LaFleur, of the 300 block of North Marshall Street, gave birth to the male infant in the restroom Tuesday and then tried to flush the baby down a toilet.

When that didn’t work, police said LaFleur put the baby in the trash can, where the dead infant was discovered by a school custodian Tuesday night.

Officials said an autopsy conducted Wednesday indicated that the infant had been carried for 27-29 weeks.

They added that the investigation is still in its preliminary stages, and it has not yet been determined whether the baby was born alive or stillborn.

The crime of concealing the death of a child can occur under either circumstance.

Parents reacted with shock.

“It’s just a shame,” high school parent Angnette Swinton said.

“I’ve heard of my fair share of bad things but nothing like this,” junior varsity baseball coach Ervin Lopez said.

The School District of Lancaster said Thursday that it has safe rooms established at both high schools. Staff members or students directly affected by the situation are encouraged to meet with counselors in these rooms, officials said.

This is a prime example of why people should wait to have kids when they are mature and financially stable. Poor baby.

Schools Hires Fake Gunmen For Readiness Drill

A school district in Oregon is catching some flak after it recently sent two masked gunmen loaded with blanks on a meeting room full of teachers as part of a surprise “readiness drill” for an active shooter scenario.

The two men burst into the meeting room at Pine Eagle Charter School in Halfway last Friday and opened fire on the teachers within.

After several long moments, the terrorized teachers realized the shooting was staged since they weren’t, well, being shot to death.

The Oregonian reports that the school’s staff had received training on what to do in case of an active shooting event from the Union County Sheriff’s Office, and the district picked an in-service day during which students stayed at home in order to conduct the unannounced drill.

After the initial shock wore off, some of the teachers arrived at the realization that they would not have survived had this been a real-life school shooting.

Asked how many of the fifteen teachers would have made it out alive, Principal Cammie DeCastro responded, “not many.”

She blew off critics who expressed concern for the possibility that some of the teachers could have been literally scared to death, or worse, could have been carrying a concealed weapon of their own and moved to respond in kind.

In fact, the latter may be an outcome of the failed drill as the district’s Safety Committee and the School Board consider arming teachers or bringing in armed volunteers to watch over the children.

“For us not to know how we were going to respond is leaving us open,” DeCastro said.

Maybe this is another “teachable moment” or are they using this drill as an excuse to demand that teachers carry guns in the classroom?

Republican Says President Obama Encourages Criminal Activity

Republican strategist Brad Blakeman on Friday said that President Barack Obama was complicit in encouraging criminal activity because he supported contraception for young women.

Last month, a federal judge ordered the Obama administration to make emergency contraception available to girls as young as 15 without a prescription. The Justice Department vowed to appeal the ruling, but the president on Thursday told reporters in Mexico that he was “comfortable” with giving girls access to the morning-after pill.

“This makes no sense at all,” Blakeman opined to Fox News host Martha MacCallum on Friday. “You have to be 18 years old to buy a pack of cigarettes. And the president is also encouraging criminal behavior because in most jurisdictions in America, engaging in sexual intercourse at 14, 15 years old is statutory rape. So the president is somehow saying, ‘If you engage in that activity — criminal behavior — that’s okay because the government is going to provide you the out for your bad decision making.’”

Left-leaning Fox News contributor Julie Rodinsky, however, was more realistic, pointing out that “15 year olds and people who are older do have sex, and if they do have sex, isn’t the whole point here to prevent them from getting pregnant? And this is the best way to prevent conception. This is not an abortion pill.”

MacCallum argued that “some people would quibble with that definition.”

“This strips away the moral fabric of our country,” Blakeman agreed. “It’s the government basically being complicit in a criminal act, and also complicit in coming into the houses of America and telling the parents, ‘We’re going to bring up your children, we’re going to be able to provide better for your children than the decisions you may make at home.’”

“What’s the message, you know, when your 14, 15 years old, you say, ‘Well, the president says I should be able to have this’?” MacCallum pressed Rodinsky.

“You’re living in a world that just doesn’t exist,” Rodinsky shot back. “The bottom line is just because you don’t want kids who are 15, 16 years old not to have sex, you’re going to punish them by not proving them with the means to not get pregnant.”

“So should we decriminalize statutory rape?” Blakeman interrupted. “And say that if you’re 15, go out and have sex as a matter of law?”

“Statutory rape is if a 15 year old sleeps with a 25 year old,” Rodinsky replied. “I’m sorry to tell you, but it’s going on out there. You can bury your head in the sand, but people are having sex at the age of 15. You might not like it… Government is not condoning it, but if you don’t give them the tools to prevent abortion and pregnancy, they’ll have abortion and pregnancy.”

“It’s a big issue, whether or not this condones it, whether it encourages it,” MacCallum concluded. “And I think a lot of people feel that it does.”

While no state has an age of consent younger than 16, minors in many states can legally engage in sexual activity with other minors, according to the Department of Health and Human Services. In New Jersey for example, a 13 year old may legally engage in sexual activity with a partner who is less than four years older.

Allowing younger women to buy birth control will decrease the teen mom rate, abortions and prevent teens who do not want their babies from throwing them in the garbage. Do you think he has a point or is he just another right wing weirdo?

Two Chinese Women Arrested For Poisoning Kids

Chinese police have arrested the head of a kindergarten and her associate over the deaths of two children from a rival school who ate yogurt injected with rat poison, state media said.

The five- and six-year-old girls from northern Hebei province died after eating the yogurt which they had found in a bag on the side of the road while walking to school with their grandmother.

The rival kindergarten director Shi Haixia and her associate Yang Wenming “admitted that they injected the poison into the yoghurt and left it on the street”, the China Daily said.

“Their intention was to damage the reputation of the rival kindergarten.”

The poison contained a strong rat poison called tetramine, the China Daily said, citing a local security official.

The pair were arrested on Wednesday, the same day the younger girl died after a week in hospital. The six-year-old died within hours of drinking the yogurt on April 24.

The China Daily cited a professor of primary education as saying that the murders exposed the problem of unregulated private schools that had sprung up to compensate for the lack of adequate public kindergartens.

“This is an extreme case showing the lack of supervision in preschool education,” it quoted Yuan Ailing of East China Normal University as saying.

Many children in the countryside are cared for by their grandparents because their parents have migrated to cities to find work.

So they poisoned innocent children to damage the other school’s reputation? Some people’s elevators don’t go all the way to the top. SMH.

Antoine Dodson tells TMZ … he’s no stranger to the ways of the vagina … claiming he had real-life sex with women before he switched to guys … and says, “It was fun.”

Magic Johnson Gets Swatted

Magic Johnson has just been swatted … but this one is RADICALLY different from all the others … because the LAPD is clearly hip to the prank now … TMZ has learned.

Someone placed the electronic 911 call within the last hour … claiming multiple shots were fired at Magic’s L.A. home. We’re also told the caller claimed the shooters were holding someone hostage.

As for the LAPD’s response … it was anemic compared to prior 911 incidents. We’re told only a few patrol cars responded. There were no choppers, no SWAT team, no guns-drawn maneuver.

Apparently the LAPD has now figured out the markers that distinguish swatting from the real deal.

Cops on scene quickly confirmed it was a prank.

Hopefully these swat pranksters will find something better to do with their time.

Teen Slashes Friends Throat Over Video Game

Video games have been accused of fuelling youth violence after a 13-year-old boy slashed a friend’s throat following an online row.

Police believe the attack, in Clydebank, Scotland, was influenced by the teenager’s use of violent video games.

He had only known his 14-year-old victim for a few months after they met online while playing Xbox game Gears of War 3.

The 18-rated game, which contains ‘strong bloody violence’, rewards players for devising ways of murdering their opponents.

Brian Docherty, chairman of the Scottish Police Federation, said: ‘These games are rated 18 and shouldn’t be played by children of this young age – but online gaming may be outside their parents’ knowledge. We need to look again at what we can do to stop this.’

The High Court in Glasgow heard the boys had a falling-out, which resulted in the victim being slashed.

Then, in a scene reminiscent of violent video games – the accused sneered at his victim: ‘Don’t die,’ before calmly walking off. The accused, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted assault.

The victim is now traumatised and his attacker – already a father – faces being locked up when returns to the dock later this month.

Prosecutor Andrew Brown, QC, told the court: ‘The reporting officer was of the opinion that the violent video games played online by the accused may have been a factor in his conduct.’

The boys met while playing Gears of War 3 online around Christmas 2011.

They later met in person and the court heard there was no animosity between the pair until a month before the slashing.

Mr Brown said: ‘The pair had fall-outs online amounting to name-calling via the messaging system used in the game.’

On April 14 last year, the day of the attack, the victim met some friends and the group later encountered the accused at a local shop.

Later that night, the victim and another boy were going to a house when they saw the accused.

The accused grabbed the 14-year-old then struck him across the throat with a knife.

The victim told paramedics a boy had ‘slit his throat in an argument about Xbox games’.

He suffered a wound so deep it exposed his windpipe and required 20 staples following surgery.

The court was told the victim – now 15 – has refused to speak about what happened to him and has had difficulty sleeping.

A spokesman for Microsoft, which publishes Gears of War 3, said: ‘We have some of the most robust parental control systems to empower parents to decide how their children play and communicate.

We have the greatest sympathy for the victim and his family.

Italian Gov’t To Investigate Racism Targeting African Cabinet Member Cecile Kyenge

The Italian government has ordered an inquiry into alleged racism on right-wing websites after slurs against the country’s first black cabinet minister.

Italy’s new Cabinet was sworn in on Sunday, and Cecile Kyenge took the post as minister of integration.

She is originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo and moved to Italy three decades ago. She is now an Italian citizen, is married to an Italian and has two children.

But right-wing websites have posted a range of racial slurs against the country’s first black Cabinet member.

A member of one website described Kyenge as a “Congolese Monkey.”

On Wednesday the government ordered an investigation into the websites. The new equal opportunities minister who ordered the inquiry, Josefa Idem, described the comments as “vile racist epithets.”

Comments about Kyenge’s race have not only appeared online.

Speaking on the radio earlier this week, Italian politician Mario Borghezio from the Northern League party referred to the new government as a “bonga bonga government” and said that Africans “had not produced great genes.”

The music man — who emerged into the hip-hop world as Big Daddy Kane’s deejay and later produced Notorious B.I.G.’s first album, “Ready to Die” — was charged with patronizing a sex worker. He was waiting to be arraigned on Saturday.

It’s not the first time the deejay has been cuffed for playing with professionals.
