President Obama Tries Out Bangs At White House Correspondents Dinner
This past Saturday night, President Obama delivered his always-hilarious address to a mixed crowd of prominent media and A-list celebrities at the annual White House Correspondents dinner.
During a segment of this year’s speech, the POTUS joked that his advisors had looked to his more-likable wife Michelle to come up with a fool-proof plan for him to “reinvent” himself: get bangs.
He then gave the audience a glimpse of how he would look with the hairstyle in a short slideshow with a series of very funny pictures including this one.
Gotta love our president and his sense of humor.

Angry relatives of a woman on Sunday vandalized a hospital in Burdwan after one of her newborn twins died. The rampaging men were caught on camera raiding the hospital, severely beating up nurses and other medical staff and damaging hospital equipment.

Sick Old Australian Fawk, Age 93, Goes On Trial For Forcing Sex On Four Thai Sisters Between The Ages Of 7 And 15!

A 93-year-old Australian man appeared in court in Thailand today accused of sexually assaulting four sisters while living in South-East Asia.
Karl Joseph Kraus had to be carried from a prison bus into a wheelchair by other inmates in order to be wheeled into the dock in Chiang Mai province, in the north of the country.
He is alleged to have attacked the girls, aged between seven and 15, in 2010.
After being arrested and bailed on suspicion of sex assault, Kraus attempted to flee to Burma, from where he was deported for not having a valid visa.
His lawyers are now trying to get the case dropped, arguing that he is too ill to stand trial.
Last month he told the Sydney Morning Telegraph, ‘I’ll be dead’ before proceedings conclude, adding ‘I’ve done nothing wrong.’
Kraus, a German-born Australian citizen, is suffering from an array of serious illnesses such as dementia and cancer, according to his lawyers.
However, while free on bail he was apparently seen driving around Chiang Mai and did not seem to be in poor health.
The former railway worker had been living in Thailand for more than a decade when he first met the girls he was alleged to have abused in 2008.
Thai police claimed that Kraus offered to teach the children English, and persuaded them to visit his house by offering them chocolate and money.
But the girls then told their parents that the OAP had repeatedly attacked him, and the parents reported Kraus to the police.
Officials allegedly found more than 100 inappropriate child images on his computer, many of which had been emailed to addresses based outside Thailand.
However, Kraus later claimed that he was told the case would be dropped if he agreed to bribe police with a sum equivalent to £10,000.
Sounds like he’ll be getting his real justice on the other side soon enough. Wait until he meets his maker.

Meet Alexius Keys… She’s an angry bird from Chi-town who definitely needs to have her keys taken away. Breaking up is hard to do for all of us, but this woman took it to a whole new level.

A crazed Chicago woman ran over her ex-boyfriend’s new lover in her car, cops claim.
Jealousy allegedly got the better of Alexius Keys, 20, who is accused of dragging the woman under her vehicle for several yards.
Her alleged victim was left with a broken arm, back fractures, a bruised lung and several broken ribs.
Large amounts of skin were scraped from her lower back and behind.
Keys, of Matteson, Ill., allegedly turned up at her ex’s Park Forest home at 6 p.m. Thursday.
Seeing the new lovers together in a car, she rear-ended the vehicle, police say. When the couple got out, she drove in reverse across the lawn and hit the woman.
Cops were called, and Keys was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
The Chicago Tribune reports that she collapsed during her bond hearing Sunday and was escorted out as she pleaded with family members to forgive her.
Damn son, she skinned her cakes!
SMH. Not only do you have to be careful about who you date, ya also gotta watch your back for the people THEY dated!
Poor thang. We hope the new boo heals up nicely and Alexius gets some anger management for that azz.

Largest Muslim Community In The U.S. Responds To Boston Marathon Bombings
A Muslim community leader in Dearborn, Michigan, which is home to the largest Arab-American community in the United States, is speaking out in response to the tragic Boston Marathon bombings that took place earlier this month.
Dr. Kassem Charara of the Islamic Institute of Knowledge says while he denounces any support of the bombings which were carried out by two members of the Muslim community, he also calls for peace and an end to violence against the innocent Muslims living in America who constantly face backlash in the wake of tragedies that they were not responsible for.

Dearborn, a city of nearly 100,000 people that borders Detroit’s west side, is home to the country’s largest Arab-American population by proportion, with 41 percent of the city’s population being of Arab descent. Dearborn is in many ways a typical American city, with the only discernible difference being many of the storefront signs are written in English and Arabic.
The city becomes a focal point whenever acts of terrorism occur, regardless of the perpetrator. The city’s political and religious leaders quickly got out in front of the fear and denounced the bombings and honored those who were injured and lost their lives.
“Let there be no mistake that we all condemn this senseless act of violence,” said Dr. Kassem Charara, chairman of the Islamic Institute of Knowledge, during a vigil held for the victims last Saturday. “By the same token, we should condemn the killing of innocent people anywhere in the world. There should not be a double-standard when we’re dealing with terrorism.”
Muslim community leaders across America are also taking a stand against the media and government officials whom they say aren’t helping to stop injustice and hate crimes against Muslims by inaccurately reporting on developments and facts surrounding the bombing.
When it was revealed that the two primary suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings were Muslim, many of the wounds opened by 9/11 became fresh again for Arab-Americans and Muslims across the country. There have been isolated incidents around the country of ethnic intimidation and physical assaults of Muslims following the bombings, and the mistakes made by the national media during the coverage did not help matters.
“It’s a long term process that needs to take place in cutting down social acceptability of these statements in the media and by politicians,” Walid said. “That’s not to say people won’t continue to make those comments under the veil of social media.
“Social media has desensitized people and they have gotten cyber space courage where many times in the general public, people wouldn’t say certain things but with the anonymity of cyber space, they can make outrageous comments.”
Hate crimes and violence against innocent people are never the way to go to achieve justice, regardless of their background or affiliation. You can read more about what Dr. Charara had to say HERE.

New Video: The Hieroglyphics (Souls Of Mischief, Del The Funky Homosapien, Pep Love, Casual) “Gun Fever” [Video]
We’re glad to see these Oakland hip-hop veterans weighing in on the serious issue of weapons violence in our communities!
Tajai, of the seminal rap group Souls of Mischief and active member of several other projects and crews including rap collective The Hieroglyphics, is no stranger to gun violence. Growing up with fellow group members in Oakland, California, one of the United States’ most notoriously dangerous cities, violent crime and urban warfare became an integral part of their developing social consciousness. In their latest video for the track “Gun Fever,” edited by group member Casual, The Hieroglyphics address America’s ongoing fetishization of violence, particularly the mainstream media’s current obsession with guns. Rife with images that juxtapose our government, elected officials and media reports against the violence perpetrated with guns at home and abroad, the video could not appear at a more relevant time in our larger cultural discourse, although that wasn’t necessarily the group’s original intention.
The track was originally “recorded in the summer of 2011, pre-Trayvon Martin, pre-Newtown” and was “expressing what was going on in our neighborhood,” Tajai recalls. Though he believes violent crime in general has decreased in Oakland and perhaps the rest of the country as well, Tajai acknowledges how his own personal relationship to a larger society that romanticizes guns, violence and destruction has changed over time. “I feel safer, but I’m grown,” he states. “As a kid, there was a lot of fear and fascination with violence…our national anthem is about bombs…the glorification of violence is par for the course in American culture.”
Indeed, social commentary has always been a critical aspect of The Hieroglyphics’ material, its members all having grown up in an era where early rap music was, as Tajai explains, “more reflective of an anti/countercultural point of view.” This is clearly evident in the “Gun Fever” video, the message of which Tajai acknowledges has become more politicized, poignant and provocative “because of the current climate of the country.” Arresting, engaging and thought-provoking subject matter continue to drive The Hieroglyphics to do what they do, and Tajai admits there’s no easy solution to this dangerous facet of our culture, “Pandora’s box is open…life is cheap now…I wish I could be a pacifist, but I’ve been raised in American society and Oakland society where violence is real.”
