This Katherine Webb is ready to straight “Roll Tide” right over Kimmy Cakes! Known as Miss Alabama and University of Alabama QB A.J. McCarron’s girlfriend, Webb was recently asked to pose for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, out next month.

SI.com: How surprised were you to get the call from Sports Illustrated?

Webb: I was completely dumbfounded. It was so shocking to me because literally overnight I go from being AJ’s girlfriend and going to support him in the championship game to being on every major media news outlet. It’s just so surprising to me. I don’t know what God has planned, but obviously he’s working on something. When Sports Illustrated called it just became even more real that this is happening. Every single model wants to be in Sports Illustrated, and I feel extremely blessed to have that opportunity.

SI.com: So it’s safe to assume you said yes right away when you got the call?

Webb: Oh, my gosh. Absolutely. I’ve been approached by different publications, but I think a lot of America appreciated how classy I was, and I got a lot of responses saying I was America’s sweetheart and all that kind of stuff. I’m from Alabama and I have morals and I have class. That’s my personality. A lot of people have said I’m the anti-Kim Kardashian and I’m all right with that.

SI.com: Well, Kim Kardashian has done all right for herself.

Webb: She made herself into who she is and that’s fine and all that. But I guess the way I want to go about all this is, I just want to have a positive image for myself. I want girls to be able to look up to me and to say, “I want to be just like her one day.” That’s what I did as Miss Alabama and I loved that.

SI.com: How long have you done modeling?

Webb: I’ve done modeling since I was 18, but it didn’t take off until I moved to Los Angeles. Modeling has always been something I’ve been really good at, and has been something that’s helped pay bills. And it’s something I enjoy doing, as well. Every model wants to be successful in her career, so for Sports Illustrated to reach out to me is just amazing. I couldn’t be anymore blessed.

SI.com: Take me through Monday night. You’re at the game, it got boring quickly, although maybe not for you, but for most people, and then a wave of buzz happens from Brent Musburger’s comments to your Twitter blowing up. What was that night like?

Webb: I don’t think it became real to me until after I left the stadium and a reporter walked up to me and asked if I realized what was happening, because my phone was dead, so I had no idea what was going on. He was like, “Do you realize you are the star of the game?” I was like, “No, what are you talking about?” So he told me the cameras focused on me and AJ’s mom and I had over 100,000 Twitter followers, and I was like “Wait a minute, are you serious?”

SI.com: Did you get a chance to at least celebrate Alabama’s win?

Webb: Yeah. Afterward, all the football players went back to the hotel where they were staying. I left immediately and went straight to the hotel. By then, I had charged my phone, so I kinda knew what was happening. Immediately after I stepped out of the car and walked into the hotel, I had people come up to me asking me for autographs and asking me to sign memorabilia, and that stuff is now being sold on eBay. But we did end up celebrating all night. I didn’t get any sleep. I didn’t close my eyes for 24 hours.

SI.com: With newfound fame comes a downside. What’s been the best and worst part of this week?

Webb: I’ve realized you’re not going to please everyone and you’re not going to appeal to everyone and show who you are to everyone. That’s one of the downsides. But the upside is that one thing I want to do is be a good role model. Hollywood has such few good role models and I partially feel like this is why this has happened for me, and I really want to promote that and do good for others.

SI.com: What has it been like to be an Auburn grad dating an Alabama student? Can you even walk around the Auburn campus anymore?

Webb: Luckily, I graduated in May 2011, so I haven’t had a reason to go back on campus unless it’s been for a football game. I’ve had a little bit of backlash from Auburn, and I understand. Auburn and Alabama have one of the biggest rivalries in all of college football. But I lived in Los Angeles and there aren’t a lot of great guys in L.A., so for me to find someone who has a good, humble heart and who is amazing and treats me so well, that’s a really special find for me. At the end of the day, football is just a game. I don’t care if he’s from Alabama or wherever, I don’t pay attention to the rivalry when it comes to my personal relationship.

SI.com: So what else is next for you?

Webb: I’ve had opportunities to do hosting and some television shows. But right now I’m just going along for the ride and seeing what happens. But at the end of the day, my relationship with AJ is what’s important and if this stuff is going to hinder the relationship, then I don’t have a problem saying no to certain things, especially if they’d embarrass me or his family.

Miranda Lambert Slams Chris Brown Again In New Interview

It’s been nearly 4 years since Chris Brown put them paws on his lady love Rih-Rih and even though the two have since reunited with Rih-Rih is back to being head-over-heels for her tree-blowin’ bad boy, country singer Miranda Lambert still isn’t letting it die.

The blonde-haired songstress got into a memorable twitter feud with Breezy this time last year over comments she made about him being allowed to attend the Grammy’s, and she says she’s still not backing down a year later.

Miranda Lambert is not backing down.

The country star, 29, still stands by her Twitter rant against Chris Brown, 23, after he performed twice at the Grammy Awards in February 2012. Lambert was disgusted by his appearance at the event, tweeting, “He beat on a girl…not cool that we act like that didn’t happen.”

In the February issue of Redbook, Blake Shelton’s number one lady discusses her bashing of Brown and admits she feels the same about the situation almost a year later.

“I didn’t feel right about not saying something. The loudmouth that I am, I say what I think,” she tells Redbook. “I wanted everyone to know that I don’t agree with the message it’s sending to young women. It’s not okay. At all. To be celebrated after doing something like that.”

“I don’t think it’s right, I never will, and I will stand by what I said till the day that I die,” Lambert continued.

In an interview with Toure on Daily Beast now openly gay former NFL baller Wade Davis discusses how there are already semi-openly gay pro players and his fears about the “Jackie Robinson” moment for the LGBT community:

T: Is there a professional athlete fraternity or an NFL fraternity?

W: Both. There’s one that exists in the NFL and there’s one for sports. It’s not talked about, it just is what it is. Because we’ve all gone through the same thing so there’s a protection that exists if you’ve gone through what it takes to make it at that level.

T: So the guys in the NFL who are gay have protection?

W: Yes. Openly gay is a bit strong cuz when we think of openly gay we think of walking down the street with your boyfriend but there are players who know that this player may have a boyfriend or may not date women and that’s just it. It’s not talked about. He’s there to do a job, I’m here to do a job, it’s not talked about, he’s my brother, he doesn’t treat me any different than anyone else does.

T: Can you give an approximate number of how many gay men there are in the NFL?

W: I only know of three.

T: You know of three guys in the NFL?

W: Not only in the NFL. There’s some in the NFL and some in the NBA.

T: Known names?

W: I wouldn’t say they’re known names but one’s a starter.

As usual, Monroe — whose dad, Nick Cannon, and twin brother, Moroccan, were understandably not seen in the girls’ day photos — had an outfit to die for, dressed up in stylish polka dots with a bow in her hair and a tiny gold bracelet on her right wrist.

Mariah wore a blissful expression with her eyes closed as her precious little girl appeared to be trying to powder the singer’s face with the makeup brush.

Peter Tebow, the older brother of Tim Tebow, went on Twitter and took a shot at Manning during the Broncos’ loss to the Ravens after a play on which Manning struggled. Peter Tebow’s Twitter account (which gives his bio as “You can have this whole world, just give me Jesus”) is not verified. But Tim Tebow has made clear on his own verified Twitter account that the @PeterTebow account does belong to his brother.

On Sunday, during an appearance on Meet The Press, Colin Powell condemned the GOP’s “dark vein of intolerance” and the party’s repeated use of racial code words to oppose President Obama and rally white conservative voters.
Without mentioning names, Powell singled out former Mitt Romney surrogate and New Hampshire Gov. John Sununu for calling Obama “lazy” and Sarah Palin, who, Powell charged, used slavery-era terms to describe Obama:

POWELL: There’s also a dark — a dark vein of intolerance in some parts of the party. What do I mean by that? I mean by that that they still sort of look down on minorities. How can I evidence that?

When I see a former governor say that the President is “shuckin’ and jivin’,” that’s racial era slave term. When I see another former governor after the president’s first debate where he didn’t do very well, says that the president was lazy. He didn’t say he was slow. He was tired. He didn’t do well. He said he was lazy. Now, it may not mean anything to most Americans, but to those of us who are African Americans, the second word is shiftless and then there’s a third word that goes along with that. The birther, the whole birther movement. Why do senior Republican leaders tolerate this kind of discussion within the party?

He’s absolutely correct…Discuss.

Paris Jackson Boycotts Janet Jackson’s Wedding

The daughter of the “King of Pop” Michael Jackson, Paris Jackson is trying to prevent the union between Janet Jackson and Wissam Al Mana.

Janet Jackson attends the billionaire Wissam Al Mana since 2009. The two were engaged last year and apparently want to get married in the spring.

According to magazine “Star”, the daughter of Michael Jackson, 14, and Janet Jackson have not spoken since last July. “Janet and Paris have not reconciled since their dispute the last summer and now, Paris said she would boycott the wedding,” says a source at U.S. tabloid.

The Jackson family has gone through several conflicts last summer: Michael’s mother, Katherine, has lost custody of three grandchildren Paris, Prince and Blanket after being gone for nine days. The three sister and brothers of the star, Janet, Rebbie and Randy, have also closed the relationship with their mother after an attempt to dismiss the executors of Michael Jackson.

Janet Jackson has been married twice, first in 1985 with James DeBarge, the second with producer René Elizondo in 1991. They divorced in 2000.

The 400-pound Queens pedestrian who crashed through an Upper East Side sidewalk said yesterday that a thinner woman might have died from that fall. “Thank God, they said that my size was the only thing that saved me,” Ulanda Williams, 32, told The Post as she was discharged from NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Williams, of Springfield Gardens, was waiting for a bus at about 9:10 p.m. Friday when she tried to hide from the rain under an awning. The ground suddenly disappeared beneath her — and she was swallowed whole by the cavernous space adjacent to the cellar of The Blue Room on Second Avenue. “It was horrible, absolutely horrible,” said Williams, who broke her arm in two places in the 6-foot fall.

The social worker, who wore an arm brace as she left the hospital, had bruises and cuts all over her face and neck from the fall. She said there were no warning signs indicating that any possible sidewalk danger. “Nothing, nothing,” she said. “It happened so instantly that I didn’t even recognize anything. Cement was all over me, debris. They had a bed frame down there, broken pipes and wood pieces. It was a hollow place.”

Neighborhood resident Bobby Robertson, 56, said the building could use some work. “When I’m standing here waiting for the bus, I take a look around once in a while and notice how decrepit the street and buildings look,” he said. “You can see cracks in the walls and in the concrete, too. The owners don’t do any upkeep.”

Frank Lupo, 47, a maintenance worker who lives in the building next door to the sidewalk collapse, said the fall could easily have been fatal. “It doesn’t look it from street level, but that’s one hell of a drop,” he said. “I’m glad she’s alive.”
