The University Of Connecticut Establishes Scholarship Fund For Sandy Hook Survivors And Siblings
The University Connecticut is reaching out to provide a little relief for the surviving students and families of those that lost their lives during the tragic Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newton, Connecticut earlier this month.
Surviving Sandy Hook students, as well as siblings of those children whose lives were taken will be eligible to receive scholarship funding to attend the University once they are of age, possible free of charge.

The University of Connecticut is creating a scholarship fund for students from Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, where 20 students and six staff members were gunned down last week.
The Sandy Hook School Memorial Scholarship Fund will help pay college costs for Sandy Hook students who choose to attend UConn when they’re older. Siblings of the student victims and children of the adult victims also will be eligible. The awards will be need-based.
Donations will be collected through the University of Connecticut Foundation. A spokesman says the foundation hasn’t set a fundraising goal and will decide later whether the scholarships can cover the students’ entire college costs.
UConn women’s basketball coach Geno Auriemma (aw-ree-EH’-muh) and his wife have donated $80,000. The university says 650 other individual donations have been received in the fund’s first 24 hours.
We’re certainly rooting for the University to raise enough money to send all of these children to college on full scholarships. After all that these families have been through, it’s well-deserved. Contact the University of Connecticut for more information on how to donate.

YMCMB bossman Lil Wayne rarely expresses regret for much of anything, but when recently asked to talk about the tragic Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings, he revealed that it made him wish he could take back being popped for gun charges back in 2007.

Lil Wayne isn’t the type of guy who lives life with too many regrets, but the Sandy Hook tragedy has him reflective. Turns out if there was one thing Weezy could take back, it would be his 2007 gun arrest.
“Before I leave, I want to say you mentioned that in 2010, I was locked up for a weapon. If there was anything I could do in my life that I could ever change, it’d be that,” the Young Money boss said when he appeared on “Jim Rome on Showtime” this week. “Sandy Hook Elementary, my heart goes out to you.”
If there’s one thing Weezy seems to be genuine about, it’s his 9786 kids, so we’re not surprised to hear that this is how he feels. Do you think Weezy was being sincere?

Security Firm Sues George Zimmerman And Family For $270,000 In Unpaid Fees
Scumbag jailbird George Zimmerman is being sued by a security firm for unpaid fees to the the tune of $270,000 dollars. Raise your hand if you feel bad for him. We’ll wait.

George Zimmerman, his wife and his attorney are being sued by the Associated Investigative Services security company for approximately $27,000 in unpaid bodyguard fees. AIS alleges in a recently filed civil complaint that ever since an independent trustee took over the administration of Zimmerman’s defense fund, payment for its contracted security services has ceased.
The company asserts that Zimmerman’s attorney Mark O’Mara hired AIG on June 26. Subsequent to that date, the firm claims it has provided nearly constant watch over the defendant, who is facing second degree murder charges for killing Trayvon Martin, an unarmed black teen, on February 26 in Sanford, Florida.
Awww poor thang. Better use some of those funds from his autograph sessions earlier this year to make it rain….

Our friends at Virgin Mobile just announced how the platinum singing star has teamed with them for a new tour:
Virgin Mobile USA announced today that it is extending its award-winning relationship with Lady Gaga, and will be presenting her 2013 Born This Way Ball tour in North America. Through the partnership, Virgin Mobile will educate concert-goers on the issue of youth homelessness, calling on fans to step up to support both its Re*Generation program, which focuses on the issue, and Lady Gaga’s youth empowerment organization, Born This Way Foundation.
One lucky fan selected at each show will have a $5,000 donation made to a local youth homeless shelter on his or her behalf – and then have the opportunity to increase the donation by spreading the word socially or volunteering for the cause. This fan will also get a special surprise from Mother Monster herself.
Virgin Mobile will also be giving fans a variety of ways to get involved in helping raise money to make a difference. Fans at the shows will be encouraged to tweet pictures of themselves, and for every tweet Virgin Mobile USA will donate $1 to a local youth homeless shelter. In support of the Canadian tour stops, Virgin Mobile Canada will be motivating fans to donate to Re*Generation via a text-to-donate program.
Virgin Mobile will also be working with Lady Gaga’s social network for fans, http://www.littlemonsters.com, to provide ways for them to get involved and donate to Re*Generation even if they aren’t attending the shows.

Megan Edwards, 22, split from the world’s fastest man after he flew her to Jamaica to meet his family. The down-to-earth accounts worker decided that the 4,600 miles between her and the smitten sprinter was too much to handle, and she wouldn’t be able to handle his globe-trotting lifestyle either.
Devastated Usain, 26, begged her to change her mind, but Megan revealed: “In the end I had to let my head rule my heart. It was amazing out there, but that’s where I decided it couldn’t go on. He was talking about having to fly here and there and I was going back to my office job. So when I got home I rang him and told him it wasn’t going to work. I said the distance thing and not seeing him often enough was a problem for me.”
“He was very upset and said ‘Don’t do it, what can I do?’. I told him, ‘There is nothing you can do… you are who you are’.
“I am just a normal girl and I know people say, ‘You would have been fine with it’, but I wouldn’t. If I was a celebrity then our relationship probably would have lasted longer.” Junior athlete Megan caught the eye of the 100m world record holder when she was chosen to model Jamaica’s team kit for the Games and appeared on a catwalk with him. “We live at opposite ends of the globe,” she told a friend. “He talked about flying all over the place and there’s me having to go back to Dartford.
“I really liked him, but I only have a set amount of holiday that I can use each year and I’mnot going to use it all up going to see Usain Bolt in Jamaica. “A few things crystallised in my head while I was away and when I got back. So after a couple of days I telephoned him to call it off. It was very hard and I was upset too. “In the end he asked if we could still be friends and I said, ‘Of course… you haven’t done anything wrong to me’. I don’t think he was expecting it. “It wasn’t as though it fizzled out. It was just at this present moment in time we are, neither of us, in the right place. “And I told him that it wasn’t right for us to be together right now and that it just wasn’t going to work out between us.”
Now Megan is concentrating on her own Olympic dream, taking inspiration from the boyfriend she had to let go. “I hope to go to Rio in 2016 and do the 800or 1500 metres,” she said. “Perhaps Usain will be there too…”

**Update** Sandy Massacre Shooters Brother Ryan Lanza Finally Speaks Out…Claims He’s A ‘Victim’?!?!

The brother who was originally identified as the shooter during the horrific massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary is finally speaking out, and he’s asking us all to leave his little brother alone.

Newtown killer Adam Lanza, who shot dead his mother, six other adults and 20 children, is badly missed by his brother.
“I am a victim,” Ryan Lanza, 24, told The Post yesterday in a Facebook chat. “I loss [sic] my mom and brother.”
In a Facebook photo tribute, Ryan Lanza shared a smiling image of his younger brother, Adam (top photo), lounging in a long-sleeved shirt and a pullover tee.
“R.I.P.,” he wrote.
“I will miss you bro. I will always love you as long as I live,” Lanza posted.
Lanza also posted a picture of his mother, Nancy, 52 (bottom photo). In it, she looks carefree as she sweeps blonde curls away from her eyes and laughs.
“I miss you mom. I love you so much. You will be always in my heart,” he wrote.
Adam Lanza sprayed bullets into his sleeping mother’s head before he massacred 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School. He killed himself as cops moved in.
Ryan Lanza, who once attended Sandy Hook, grieved on Facebook for his brother’s youngest victims.
“You all will be truly be missed,” he wrote. “God Bless.”
Lanza has joined Facebook victim groups as well as groups that support him called “Support Ryan Lanza” and “Clear Ryan Lanza’s Name.”
A number of media outlets wrongly identified Lanza as the shooter because his brother had been carrying his identification during his killing spree.
On Lanza’s Facebook page, one poster wrote that Adam Lanza deserved to “rot in hell” and was the “scum of the earth.”
Ryan Lanza responded sharply to the post.
“I am so tired of people blaming me for something my brother did. I love Adam, his [sic] my brother,” he wrote.
“But you have no right to call my brother names when he isn’t here no more. Just let my brother rest in peace. Please. Respect that.”
Lanza, who lives in Hoboken, told The Post that a Facebook “friend” who said his brother should “rot in hell” was a stranger.
“He is calling my brother a monster when he don’t even know him,” Lanza said.
We understand love for your sibling and all but this probably isn’t the best time to come out with some pathetic bullsh*t.

Lawsuits: Nas Sued For $10 Million Big Ones By Concert Promoter Who Was Allegedly Kidnapped In Angola
Remember the concert promoter stuck in Angola because of Nas??? Well he’s now suing the rapper for $10 Milli!

The concert promoter who says he was taken hostage at gunpoint and held for ransom — all because Nas was a no-show for a gig — is now suing the rapper for $10 MILLION. As TMZ first reported, Patrick Allocco says he was kidnapped in December 2011 in Angola because Nas failed to show up for a New Year’s Eve concert after taking a $300,000 pay day.
Allocco says he was held as ransom by Angolan promoters and their “henchmen” because they wanted their cash back. He was finally released in February 2012. According to a new federal lawsuit filed Friday, Allocco wants the rapper to pay for what happened to him. Specifically, he claims he was held captive for 50 days — during which time he says he was beaten and threatened constantly.
Allocco is suing Nas for $10 million, claiming he suffered psychologically, physically and financially. He claims that while stuck in Angola, he was unable to do business … and as a result lost his home and his company.

TMZ broke the story … the wide receiver has been dropping real-estate left and right (thanks to his dwindling finances) and has already sold off condos in Dallas, Miami and Georgia.
The latest victim in his real-estate purge is a 7,694-square-foot pad outside of Atlanta, which he bought way back in 2000 (i.e. when he had a job with the San Francisco 49ers).
T.O. first listed the house in 2010 for $1.5 million, but didn’t actually sell it until now … when he was willing to let the place go for a measly $694,000 … a.k.a LESS than half what he wanted.
It’s a great deal (for the buyer) who gets 6 bedrooms, 8 baths, a home theater, basketball court, gym, rec room, decks, and a huuuuuge resort style swimming pool.
The lesson here: BUY HOMES IN GEORGIA!!!!!
