Judge Denies Allen West Florida Recount Request

A St. Lucie County judge in Florida on Friday ruled against Rep. Allen West’s request for a recount of all early votes cast in his district, denying the one-term Republican’s latest cry for a do-over in the election he officially lost last week.

West, a conservative firebrand and hero within the Tea Party, had filed legal complaints even before his loss was certified Saturday, suggesting foul play from St. Lucie County Elections Supervisor Gertrude Walker – a Democrat – in particular.

He has not yet conceded. According to the Associated Press, West trails Democrat Patrick Murphy, who declared victory last week and is in Washington for freshman orientation, by 1,900 votes – outside the margin for an automatic recount.

Kris And Bruce Jenner Address Divorce Rumors

Earlier this week, the rumor mill was on fire with claims that Kardashian pimp-a-ger  mom-a-ger Kris Jenner and her longtime hubby Bruce were headed for a $55 million dollar divorce.  But momma Kris recently spoke exclusively to E! News to clear it all up.

Count Kris Jenner as one who isn’t putting much stock in the rumor that she and husband Bruce Jenner are divorcing.

“I said, ‘Honey, I think we’re getting a divorce,’” she joked to E! News, recalling how she called her husband of 21 years on Wednesday morning to inform him that the National Enquirer had predicted their imminent split.

“He said, ‘Honey don’t bug me with this. I’m at the hobby store buying helicopter parts.’”
Jenner divorce story is “rubbish”

As E! News first reported, the tabloid’s prediction is, frankly, “rubbish” and they’re not getting divorced.

“We just laugh it off,” Kris says. “We love each other and just laugh about it.”

“These kind of stories have been circulating for the last couple of years,” adds the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star.

“We’re absolutely not filing for divorce. Everything is great. We feel very blessed as a family.

“If we had to chase down and comment on every rumor we’d be working overtime.”

Guess they figured one messy divorce every 72 days is enough for now..

A college student is accused of molesting at least six young children and videotaping the assaults under such titles as ‘Monster Unleashed.’

Alexander R. Richter, 28, who attended Gateway Technical College in Wisconsin, was jailed on 49 felony charges November 9.

Authorities say Richter volunteered to baby-sit his classmates’ children and then repeatedly had sex with the boys and girls on camera as they cried and begged him to stop.

When detectives served Richter with a search warrant he told them, ‘I’ll save you time, the things you are looking for are under the coffee table,’ the criminal complaint said.

Richter faces dozens of charges including first-degree sexual assault of a child under 13, sexual exploitation of a child and possession of child p0rn0graphy.

Officers found an unspecified number of DVDs, a tripod, cameras and a hard drive in his house in Racine, Wisconsin.

They said one DVD, titled ‘Monster Unleashed,’ showed Richter having sex in his home with four different children — three girls and a boy.

The youngest child, one of the girls, just turned 5 this month.

In some of the footage, the children are crying and can be heard telling Richter to stop or seen trying to fight him off, according to the complaint.

Police are looking to identify more victims.

Authorities have been able to name six children who appear in videos and photographs from evidence seized at Richter’s house.

‘We’re not putting a number on it, but from the evidence we’ve recovered we believe there are additional victims,’ Racine police Sgt. Marty Pavilonis said.

Richter approached at least one classmate last year, according to the criminal complaint, and offered to baby-sit her children – a son who was then 6 years old and a daughter who had just turned 4.

He’s accused of making at least 11 videos of himself having sex with both children, including one in which police say he guided the boy into attempted sexual activity with his sister.

Prosecutors said Richter also had photos of the siblings posing in the buff and simulating sex acts with each other.

The allegations came to light last month when the boy, now 7, touched another child inappropriately, the criminal complaint said.

When confronted, the boy told his mother that was how ‘Alex’ touches him and his sister, according to the complaint.

Investigators say the children told them Richter had sexually assaulted them both orally and anally on multiple occasions, used adult pleasure toys on them and filmed them taking baths.

Pavilonis said authorities are trying to determine whether any of the images have been shared with other people as child p0rn0graphy.

Richter remains in jail after a judge set his bond at $1.5 million in cash.

SMH. Always be wary of people who volunteer to spend time alone with your children. This man is a monster and we hope he never sees the light of day again.

Is Amber Rose what all men really want? We’ve got to ask, because clearly Kanye loved the isht out of her. And now that Wiz has wifed her all the way up, fools are taking to the internet to proclaim the glories of her as a girlfriend.

We happened to stumble upon an essay on Single Black Male dedicated to all the reasons why one particular fanboy has become an Amber Rose devotee and we thought we’d share some excerpts:

Amber Rose however was unique because she possesses a very particular set of skills; skills she has acquired over a very long career. Skills that make her a nightmare for mediocre people. That skill is elevating her man to new heights. I mean think about it, Kanye West went from 808s and Heartbreak to Dark Fantasy. He went from Top 10 to a discussion of ‘Could Kanye actually be the best in the game right now?’ Eventually, they broke up and Amber went on to date Wiz Khalifa. I’m not sure if you know this but Wiz Khalifa didn’t really have all the cards working in his favor from jump.

But with the power of Amber Rose, you can’t tell him isht.

And that’s what every man needs in his life. A woman who makes him feel like on any given day, you can’t tell him isht. It’s not about Amber Rose and her pretty pregnant ass, it’s about what she represents.

Now let’s break this down into five very key points about Amber Rose and why I think she is super awesome.

1. She’s cool with her man’s friends.
2. She supports!
3. She’s beautiful, knows it, but doesn’t let it define her.
4. She doesn’t really care what other people say about her.
5. The people closest to her all say great things about her.

Not all of us will be able to meet a model chick, who looks awesome in low top Chucks, who doesn’t have a problem sending sexts (with attachments), who digs strip clubs, will roll up even though she doesn’t partake, and who can transform a career from Dark Horse to Seabiscuit, but we can dream. Some of us are living that dream, by the way. A lot of times men look for all the wrong things in a woman. They will stay in a bad situation just because of cute face and slim waist, but it’s the intangibles that make it work. It’s those intangibles that some women think are optional or “nice to have” that really get the job done. For that reason, and that reason only, that is the inspiration and mantra behind, In Search of Amber Rose.

While we’d beg to differ with some of these points, clearly this guy is serious, so we had to ask — guys, how many of you feel this way? Do all men agree that Amber Rose has some ideal traits?

When Californians voted to outlaw same-sex marriage four years ago, one factor – both revealing and alarming to the civil rights community – was African Americans’ support for the ban. Proposition 8, which passed with a 52 percent majority, had 58 percent support among black voters. It was a different story Nov. 6 in Maine, Maryland and Washington state, where voters endorsed marriage rights for gays and lesbians, and in Minnesota, where state law already prohibits same-sex marriage but voters rejected a Prop. 8-style ban in their state Constitution.

Surveys show a majority of African Americans now support those rights, said Ben Jealous, president of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, which campaigned hard for same-sex marriage. In Maryland, where blacks make up almost 30 percent of the voters, their backing was crucial. “We’re talking about it as a civil rights issue,” and people are listening, Jealous said in an interview last week during a visit to San Francisco. He also said President Obama’s endorsement of same-sex marriage rights in May, followed shortly afterward by an endorsement from the NAACP, was a “game changer.”

If the issue reached the ballot again in California, “we would see majority black support,” Jealous said. “I’m very confident that … we would win.” San Francisco’s NAACP leader, the Rev. Amos Brown of Third Baptist Church, agreed. “People are enlightened,” said Brown, a member of the NAACP’s national board who took part in the Maryland campaign.

A different view came from the Rev. Maurice Scott of Oakland, one of many African American clergy members throughout the state who vocally supported Prop. 8.
“People of African descent are very religious people,” said Scott, pastor at the Great St. John Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church. “I think that many are supportive of the president but not supportive of homosexuality.” Even today, he said, all the parishioners with whom he has spoken “would not vote for (a) man-and-man, woman-and-woman relationship.”

Not all assessments of the Nov. 6 vote in Maryland agreed with Jealous’ assessment of African American support of same-sex marriage. The NAACP leader said surveys just before the election found majority backing for the measure among blacks, but the Washington Post said an exit poll pegged support at 46 percent, compared with 52 percent of all voters. The surveys agree, however, that attitudes toward same-sex marriage among African Americans and other racial minorities have changed even more rapidly than the views of the general population.

In Maryland, supporters of same-sex marriage sought to turn the issue of religion in the black community to their advantage. One of their leading ads featured the Rev. Delmon Coates, African American pastor of the 8,000-member Mount Ennon Baptist Church, telling viewers, “I would not want someone denying my rights based upon their religious views; therefore, I should not deny others’ rights based upon mine.” The Baltimore Sun said tests with focus groups found that the ad was a hit with voters of all races and helped the campaign raise crucial funds.

Jealous said he was particularly heartened by exit polls in four states – Florida, Ohio, Georgia and North Carolina – reporting that a majority of African Americans in each state would favor a measure establishing same-sex-marriage rights. “When we’re polling majority black support in Georgia,” he said, “the issue has changed permanently across the country.”

Seems like Kerry’s career is bangin’ now that she’s got a hit TV show, a new role in Quentin Tarantino’s film “Django Unchained”, and an upcoming interview on “Oprah’s Next Chapter”.

Inside the magazine, Kerry talks about playing Olivia Pope on ABC’s ‘Scandal’; “She’s phenomenally successful, able to control her world and makes things happen with clarity and force in her profession”.

She says she wouldn’t have been able to play Broomhilda in Django Unchained if she didn’t have her day job; “I don’t know if I would have been able to play [her]. She has strength I knew nothing about. Tarantino is a director who’s not intimidated by blood and gore and violence and the darker side of the human soul”.

When asked about roles Black women in Hollywood often get, Kerry says, “I can see how it’s not particularly feminist to play the princess in the tower, waiting to be saved. But as a black woman – we’ve never been afforded that luxury. There was no man coming to save you; it wasn’t part of the story. In some ways, this telling is a statement of empowerment.”

Piff Puffers out in Wisconsin just don’t give a fug cause they’re growing herb right in the middle of the state’s Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest.

This isht is getting so out of control that the U.S. Forest Service has asked hunters and fishermen to look out for mary jane while they’re out in the area.

That sounds like a good plan. Make hunters with guns feel like they’re in a real-life version of Call of Duty.

According to CNN:

Since 2008, nine marijuana growing operations have been discovered on public land within the state. Most recently, in late August, a fisherman visiting the forest happened upon a marijuana field that netted more than 8,000 plants worth $8 million.

“The fisherman was walking along the banks of the Oconto River and noticed these patches that had been cleared and disturbed. Trees were down, things didn’t look right, and he reported that to authorities, and a surveillance operation was established,” said Jane Cliff, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Forest Service eastern region.

Approximately 150 federal, state, tribal and local law enforcement agents were involved in the sting that followed, leading to the arrest of seven people. All of the suspects pleaded guilty and are in prison awaiting trial. The suspects each face anywhere from 10 years to life in prison, a maximum fine of $10 million and five years to life of supervised release.

But this isn’t the first time this has happened, the Forest Service says. It’s actually the third big bust in three years at the forest, resulting in the eradication of more than 80,000 marijuana plants that were cultivated by large drug trafficking organizations. That’s why authorities say they are reaching out to hunters in their regulation books and offering them training programs, warning them to be careful and asking them to note the GPS location of any suspicious areas and call the authorities as soon as they can.

“Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest is large, secluded and heavily roaded, so our personnel cannot by themselves keep an eye on every acre,” Cliff said. “That’s why we are relying on forest users to share information with us.”

“We conduct aerial surveillance, and we have seen a change in the growers’ tactics. A number of years ago, there would be large multithousand plant fields concentrated in one area, and now they have a couple of hundred plants in one location and then another couple hundred plants a couple hundred yards away which makes aerial detection more difficult,” said David Spakowicz, the director of field operations for the Wisconsin Department of Justice’s criminal investigation division.

Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen said he and special agents at the Wisconsin Department of Justice are “not only aggressively investigating and eradicating these grows, but also working with our local and federal partners to hold accountable the individuals responsible for operating such grow operations.”

“That kind of aggressive eradication and enforcement ought to send a message to those who think they can profit from growing illegal drugs on Wisconsin’s public lands, threatening our natural resources and potentially the people who enjoy them,” he said in a statement to CNN.

The concern is that a person walking through the forest will come across not only an illegal grow operation, but also heavily armed growers.

“If they are protecting $10 million of marijuana plants, that’s a lot of money, and there have been gun battles with law enforcement in other states such as California,” Spakowicz said. “We worry that they will bring the same level of violence with them.”

Because the concern for public safety is so great, the state attorney general’s office works in conjunction with the Department of Justice to strongly prosecute marijuana growers.

“We believe we need to arrest people in order to send a message to these marijuana growers that they are not welcome in Wisconsin and that their activities will be not be accepted,” Spakowicz said.

Wisconsin is targeting illegal marijuana growers because it has millions of acres of remote public land. According to the state Department of Justice, 32 people have been arrested for illegally growing marijuana since 2008, and most were non-U.S. citizens in the country illegally. All of the suspects are expected to serve their sentences before they are deported, the department says.

Several suspects interviewed by law enforcement said they were recruited from California to come to Wisconsin. In some cases they were told openly that they are to work in a marijuana growing operation, while in other cases they came believing they were to work in a restaurant. Some suspects also said they didn’t even know what state they were in.

“They are large, drug trafficking organizations; they are not mom and pop operations,” she said. “These are people doing this to make a lot of money.”

That’s some pretty bold and stupid isht right there.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Vanessa’s 666 just got shut down:

Freshman dramas Last Resort and 666 Park Avenue will not move forward at ABC.

The network has opted to cancel both underperforming series, despite picking up two additional scripts for both. The two series will get to air all 13 episodes in their original order in their respective Thursday and Sunday time slots.

freshman drama 666 Park Avenue has struggled in the 10 p.m. Sunday slot. The Terry O’Quinn, Vanessa Williams, Dave Annable and Rachael Taylor thriller is averaging only 5 million viewers and a 1.6 rating among the key 18-49 demo. Its most recent hour drew 4 million viewers with a 1.3 demo rating.)

The decision to end the shows after 13 episodes comes after the network picked up two additional scripts for each. ABC brass had hoped that 666 Park Avenue’s soapy undertones would prove a strong fit with last year’s breakout Revenge, but the show failed deliver either the buzz or the viewership.

ABC has not yet determined what will air in either series’ place, as the network has not announced its midseason lineup. The network has comedies How to Live With Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life) and Family Tools in the can for midseason as well as dramas Mistresses, Red Widow and Zero Hour. Already this fall, Lee’s team has granted full-season orders to Nashville, The Neighbors and second-year Shonda Rhimes drama Scandal, while picking up additional scripts for the Reba McEntire freshman comedy Malibu Country and Tim Allen’s Last Man Standing.

Vanessa plays Olivia Duran, an Upper East Side wife of a dark, demonic-connected landlord.

Hopefully she gets a better role with a little more of the bite she had when she was on Desperate Housewives and Ugly Betty.
