While most of the internet was focused on Michael B. Jordan’s poon-smashing man pecs yesterday when the show’s second trailer dropped, we noticed the baelicious cast. Black Panther is full of gorgeous black women and it’s a major reason we can’t wait to see the movie.
So take a look at the melaniny baes scoring their ways to theaters.
During the 2017 REVOLT MUSIC Conference a number of Hip-Hop artists, activists, and industry professionals converged at Eden Roc Miami Beach to speak on the nation’s hostile political climate since Donald Trump’s election.
The highly anticipated “Hip Hop VS Trump” panel featured moderator, Jeff Johnson (CEO, JIJ Communications), and panelists David Banner (Artist, Activist), Joey Bada$$ (CEO/Musician/Actor), T.I. (Recording Artist), Mysonne (Artist) , Rev. Shane R. Smith (President, National Action Network San Diego), Datwon Thomas (Editor in Chief, Vibe) Rob Kenner (Executive Editor, Mass Appeal), Vanessa Satten (Editor in Chief, XXL), Karen Civil (Author, Media Maven, Brand Curator) and Shaheem Reid (Host/ Writer/ Producer, REVOLT TV).
Topics discussed included racism, NFL player protests, advertising and media influences and BOSSIP was on hand to witness the panel.
Things got especially interesting when David Banner and T.I. were asked to speak on their “evolution” into the politically aware rappers they are today.
According to T.I. he feels especially impassioned to speak on the political landscape because of his 7 children who need him to affect change in the world they live in.
“My evolution is constant,” said Tip. “I don’t see myself at a place where ‘Oh I have changed so much and my perspective is so immensely different.’ We’re both growing in an environment where things are happening that affect us, our loved ones, our livelihoods, our culture, our way of life. I have children,” he added. They’re growing up in a world that I have an opportunity to affect change [in], and I would not be able to look them in the eyes if I hadn’t exercised and exhausted all my resources and options to institute that change.”
At one point David Banner also added that he’s “grateful” for Trump because of he’s sparked political awareness in people who normally wouldn’t pay the White House any attention.
“I’m actually grateful for Trump,” said Banner. “I haven’t seen black people this engaged in the political process. The week after he won, I got homeboys who I know ain’t got nothing to do with black power, and they coming up to me like; “David Banner, I like that black power s*** my n***.” I know that they’re saying that they feel me. I’m grateful because what Trump has done is taken away the excuse that white liberals had that this is a post-racial America.”
This panel included banter between audience members about actual solutions to the problems and wise words from activist/Women’s March organizer Tamika Mallory who implored the celebs and audience members to continue the conversation outside of Revolt by backing organizers.
“We raised $3 million [for the Women’s March] in two months without one corporate dollar, PERIOD,” said Tamika. “I and others were able to stand on the stage and talk to white people about oppression. We were able to put people who were formerly incarcerated on the stage. We cannot do that with corporate banners behind us.”
“What happened with this $3 million is that mostly white people gave $25, that was the highest level for more people,” she added. “It’s great to hear all of this but we gotta turn around and look at this audience and ask the question, ‘Are we supporting people who are really doing the work?”
Diddy himself also stopped by the panel and extended the panelists’ time so they could engage with the audience.

Chyna claims the Kardashians blocked her blessings by putting a halt on her reality show with her then-boyfriend Rob Kardashian…oh and it’s somehow their fault that Rob put his hefty hands on her as well.
Despite the fact that her fists of fury pummelling her portly boyfriend supposedly broke up the relationship for good, and the two have spent the majority of their relationship scrapping on some level, Chyna believes the show could have continued into a second season…if not for Rob’s meddling mom and sisters.
Chyna claims that the family interfered with shooting of season 1 of “Rob & Chyna,” to the point of making production nearly impossible. She claims they used their “power and influence over the E! network to kill the second season.”
However, E! tells TMZ they have e-mails proving that none of that is the case. First, they say Chyna was the one who began refusing to be in the same room as Rob, which naturally made shooting a reality show about their relationship a challenge. Furthermore, they were more concerned with the fact that ratings weren’t where they needed to be to make the trouble worth it.
Furthermore, Chyna is blaming the fam for a beating she allegedly caught from Rob last April, in which he snatched her phone and pushed her to the ground, and tore the bedroom door off the hinges.
She includes in the suit a lengthy badgering text chain from Rob where he repeatedly threatens to kill himself over Tyga liking one of Chyna’s photos and her not thanking him for a car he bought her publicly on social media. Yes, really. You can check out the texts HERE.
WHEW, this is a lot. We aren’t sure how much of a case Chyna has with any of this, but if getting more of Rob’s insanity out in the public was the goal, then mission accomplished.

Pussycat Dolls creator Robin Antin did NOT take too kindly to an ex-member’s claims that she was really running a prostitution ring with her Vegas revue/pop group back in the day.
In the midst of the Harvey Weinstein drama, former Doll Kaya Jones spoke her own truth, and revealed that the Robin Antin sold the Pussycat Dolls dream to the group’s young singer/dancers as an opportunity to hit it big in the music industry…all the while twisting, manipulating, and abusing them into sexual encounters with big wigs. She even claimed the suicide death of Simone Battle was a result of similar abuses.
Robin caught up with The Blast and did just that to all of Kaya’s revelations. She called Kaya’s claims “disgusting, ridiculous lies,” and said that she was clearly just “looking for her 15 minutes.”
Furthermore, she says Kaya isn’t one to speak, since she was never officially a member of PCD anyway.
She says Jones was just one of the many girls that auditioned for the group over the years, but ended up washing out and never became a permanent fixture.
Antin is especially incensed that Jones would bring up former G.R.L. member Simone Battle‘s suicide, saying it’s not just “nasty,” but it’s unfathomable and disrespectful to everyone who works towards suicide prevention and awareness.
Hmmm. Honestly, if she really is running girl groups as a front to provide…services…to high-end clientele from unsuspecting beautiful young girls hoping to hit the bigtime with their talents, it’s not like she’s going to just ADMIT it the first time she’s called out. Do you believe Robin or Kaya?

A 9-year-old girl is dead today after her cousin’s unconventional discipline tactic.
Dericka Lindsay was pronounced dead on Saturday afternoon after being rushed to a local hospital after a cardiac arrest call.
According to NYDN, 64-year-old Veronica Green Posey reportedly smothered the young girl with her weight, sitting on her as punishment for “being out of control.”
According to the child’s parents, who were present at the time of the “discipline,” Posey struck the girl with a metal pipe and a ruler before sitting on her for approximately 10 minutes. Derricka told her cousin that she was unable to breathe, but the woman continued to sit on her for an additional 2 minutes after that.
Upon standing up and lifting her weight from the child, they noticed that she was unresponsive and called 911.
Police also arrested the girl’s parents, 69-year-old Grace Joan Smith and 62-year-old James Edmund Smith, who had apparently called their neice Posey to the home to “help them discipline” their daughter. They were charged with child neglect for failing to report the abuse as it occurred, while Posey herself was charged with homicide and cruelty toward a child.

Welp! Looks like folks were right about Toni Braxton not trading “I Do’s” with Birdman.
A rep for Braxton denied the claims in a statement to Us Weekly.
“Toni is dating,” Braxton’s spokesperson said, adding that the seven-time Grammy winner “has a new single called ‘Deadwood’ from her forthcoming album Sex & Cigarettes. It will be released in early 2018.”

Frank Ocean defeated his own father in court today…and kept tens of millions of dollars in his pocket in the process.
If you’ll recall, Frank’s father Calvin Cooksey filed a lawsuit against him earlier this year, claiming that his son had blocked opportunities for him in the music and film industry with an open letter via Tumblr in which he revealed that his father was a bigot and a homophobe who made him insecure about his own sexuality growing up:
“I was 6 years old when I heard my dad call our transgender waitress a f****t as he dragged me out of a neighborhood diner saying we wouldn’t be served because she was dirty.”
This anecdote from Frank’s childhood nearly cost him $14.5 million, as his father sued him for defamation and demanded that amount of money for his “missed business opportunities.”
Well, it looks like the judge thought this was a load of BS, because he ruled in Frank’s favor. According to TMZ, the judge said that Cooksey had failed to prove that Frank’s words had defamed him in any way much less deprived him of millions of dollars.
Good for Franks. Besides, it seems to us that if he’ll go as far as to try to take nearly $15 million of his child’s money over some BS…Cooksey most likely said whatever it is Frank said he did, and worse.

Hazel E is already getting dragged to the depths of the slander chamber after her willfully ignorant comments about “dark butt monkeys” hating on her perfectly light complexion and wishing death and damnation on homosexuals…all while fighting with Jess Hilarious on social media earlier today.
But of course, her LHHH arch nemeses weren’t going to be left out of this one. Moniece Slaughter instantly took to Twitter to call attention to Hazel’s hypocrisy…and dole out a few threats while she was at it.

MiMi Faust has been open about the fact that her mother abandoned her for her religion in the past, but never went deep into the circumstances under which she checked out of motherhood…until now.
While appearing on Leah Remini’s A&E show examining the harm done by the church of Scientology, “Leah Remini: Scientology And The Aftermath.”
On the show, MiMi revealed that her mother joined Scientology’s Sea Organization when she was only 9 years old, uprooting her from Atlanta to Los Angeles. She says she was bullied and ostracized by the other children, who called her racial slurs.
When she turned 13, church members tried to get her to sign a contract binding her to the church of Scientology forever. MiMi refused.
As a result, church members booted her into the streets without a dollar to her name. Her mother stayed behind and did nothing to help her daughter, and didn’t have any contact with her for years beyond that point. Peep the clip:

An English teacher is under fire today as a student in her class caught her on SnapChat telling Latino children they need to speak “American.”
According to People Magazine, the Cliffside Park, New Jersey school boasts a large population of kids from bilingual Latino families. But according to students, that has never stopped her from telling kids she passed in the hallway to speak English when she passed them speaking Spanish or Portuguese, or making generally racist comments in class.
The video shows the teacher telling the kids that their Spanish-speaking is disrespectful, as soldiers are fighting for their right to “speak American,” not Spanish.
She actually kicks the students who dare speak Spanish in her presence OUT of the classroom…but it appears they complied in protest.
In the video, recorded by a student, the English instructor at Cliffside Park High School says: “Men and women are fighting. They are not fighting for your right to speak Spanish. They’re fighting for your right to speak American.”
First of all…what?
The students clearly had the same reaction to the teacher’s lowkey racist comment, which they say is far from her first, and decided to protest her ignorance by walking out.
SMH. She’s BEEN doing this and facing no consequences? SMH.
It’s clearly going to take a little more than gunfire to take Young Dolph down. He’s back with a new one, and even used his recent brush with death as a video plot.

An 8-year-old boy lost his life in Los Angeles County back in 2013 and Yahoo New reports the cowardice murderer, who was his own mother’s boyfriend, tortured the boy because he “thought he was gay.”
Reportedly, Isauro Aguirre’s defense attorney said his client admits to causing the injuries on young Gabriel Fernandez’s body. Aguirre, 32, is charged with murder with a special circumstance of torture.
The prosecutor said that Aguirre made Gabriel dress up in girls’ clothes and go to school. He added that Aguirre just didn’t like Gabriel and thought the boy was gay, and that was his motivation for his treatment of the child.
The trail for the little boy’s murder began this week, and his mother is not at all off the hook. The Prosecutor Jon Hatami detailed the acts allegedly committed by Aguirre and the boy’s mother, Pearl Fernandez, who also faces trial. Hatami explained that the Palmdale couple beat Gabriel, bit him, burned him with cigarettes, whipped him, shot him with a B.B. gun, starved him, fed him cat litter, and kept him gagged and bound in this cubby until he was found on May 22, 2013.
TERRIBLE.
The trial against Aguirre is expected to last about eight weeks, and the boy’s mother will be tried separately. Four Los Angeles County social workers who were assigned to Gabriel’s case also face charges in connection with the death. They failed this young boy!
RIP and hopefully his murderers rot.
