Judge Orders Vince Herbert To Repay Sony $3.7 Million

Tamar Braxton and husband Vince are going to have to reach deep into their accounts to repay Sony records. Vince was just ordered to return to the record label $3.7 million, part of money the label gave him to develop artists, yet he fell short.

We reported earlier this year, that under an agreement Vince had with Sony worth $5 Million, the music executive would bring in 5 profitable artists to the company, to recoup their investment in payments through Interscope. The only artist Vince brought under the new deal was his wife Tamar Braxton. Tamar received a total of $1 million to record her first album. Vince started to repay the remainder of the money while working over at Interscope, but reportedly stopped the payments without explanation.

Long story short, Sony filed a lawsuit. Herbert has reportedly failed to respond to a lawsuit and was issued a default judgement and is now ordered to repay the $3,738,515.93 Sony is asking for.

That’s a lot of cash. Tamar might want to rethink her retirement plans and help her husband pay some of that off. The singer just explained she was going to slow down her singing career to focus on Vince’s debt.

“My husband [music executive Vince Herbert] and I work very close together and it’s really hard, you know? Not only do we work together, he is my baby daddy and, you know, we’ve been together forever. He’s my best friend. It’s a lot of things to discuss and argue about. This is just my job. When I go home, that’s my home. I always want to keep my home a sanctuary and somewhere safe. Not just for me, but for my husband and my kid.”

Kim Zolciak Says Kenya Moore Can’t Understand Her Because She Doesn’t Have A Real Husband Or Kids

Kim Zolciak is out here doing interviews in preparation for the start of “Don’t Be Tardy” and she addressed her beef with Kenya Moore in the trailer for the new season of RHOA as well. Let’s just say the shade is something SERIOUS.

Zolciak addressed her issues with Kenya Moore explaining she has good reason to be fed up:

“She is not a good person,” Kim told TooFab during upcoming interview for Bravo’s new season of “Don’t Be Tardy.”

“Don’t mess with my man, my money or my kids. At the end of the day, that’s it. You don’t do it, and she crossed that line.”

In the trailer for the new season, Kim rubs Kenya the wrong way by questioning her matrimony-dom to Marc Daly.

“Have you guys met her husband?” asked Kim, to which Kenya shouted back, “Worry about pimping your daughter out, bi**h!”

Kim still doesn’t believe Kenya’s marriage is real by the way.

“I don’t expect her to ever understand because she doesn’t have a real husband or children,” Kim told TooFab. “I haven’t really met anybody like Kenya, and I hope to never meet anybody like her ever again.”

Welllll DAMN. Are you looking forward to the new season of “Don’t Be Tardy”? How about RHOA?

Cardi B’s Dentist Business Sees Massive Growth After “Bodak Yellow”

Having the #1 record in the country isn’t just good for Belcalis Almanzar, it’s good for the lady who got a bag to fix her teeth.

According to TMZ, that lil’ shout out on “Bodak Yellow” has TRIPLED Cardi’s dentist’s business since the ubiquitous hit took over the airwaves. Dr. Catrise Austin has a celebrity clientele list that features DJ Khaled, Common, Toni Braxton, Omarosa and Busta Rhymes and we’re sure that the list is bound to grow.

Be clear, when Cardi says “hope you hoes know it ain’t cheap”, that’s one of the realest rap lines ever recorded. Dr. Austin says that a good set of veneers can cost as much as a top-of-the-line SUV.

Cardi B is for the culture and the molars.

Ain’t Over: Azealia Banks Says THIS Is Why She Dissed Cardi B

Don’t you get tired, girl?

Azealia Banks Explains Cardi B Diss

Azealia Banks is still out here being Hip-Hop’s bitter bed sore. The 212 rapper who got bloody shoes blasted for speaking ill of Cardi B’s Billboard success is still speaking out on their drama.
As previously reported the malignant mean girl just couldn’t help but diss Cardi [and black men who love her] after she became the first female artist to hit no.1 on Billboard with a solo single since Lauryn Hill in ’98.
But Cardi didn’t back down and posted a video of hating azz Azealia dancing to “Bodak Yellow.”

Instagram Photo
Following that Azealia was dragged (of course), but did you know she actually gave Cardi some props—-before shadily ranting against her and black men once again?

Azealia posted an IG comment about Cardi’s success and called her “cute” but added that she had to blast her because Cardi “isn’t the right face for female rap.”

“It’s about making sure black men give alllll female rappers a shot at the top slot,” wrote Azealia. “There are legions of black women who have put so much into this craft who are better than Cardi and Azealia Banks who don’t get a chance because black men don’t want to f*** them.

“Cardi is very fun but she’s just simply not the right look for “the face of female rap,” she added. “It’s a gimmick that’s gone too far. That’s all.”

Instagram Photo

So why couldn’t Azealia articulate this point earlier instead of calling Cardi an “Audubon Avenue smut who f***s for raps?”

Tamar Braxton Explains Monica Brown Fallout

Tamar Braxton is speaking out on fallout with one of her friends. The songstress appeared on Wendy Williams today to dish on her “Bluebird Of Happiness” album and booking on the Xscape tour.

Things got especially interesting however when Wendy asked her about the status of her friendship with Tiny and Monica Brown, both of which will be on the tour with her.

“Nope [no beef], everything is amazing,” said Tamar about her relationship with Tiny.”I just supported her last week with her basketball game, we hung out in Vegas, we got our entire life.”

“I’m gonna go back to the day when everybody got in their feelings and wrote books about me unfollowing them,” said Tamar subtly shading Toya Wright.
“I unfollowed Monica, I unfollowed Tiny, I unfollowed Kandi…I unfollowed everybody that day that posted THAT show [“The Real”] I was rightfully in my feelings, it was nothing personal.

“She [Monica] wasn’t even on “The Real” that day, I unfollowed everybody because I didn’t wanna see it,” she added. “I had every intent of following everybody back. I unfollowed at least 30 people that day, when I went to follow her back she had blocked me.”

She also added that her husband Vincent Herbert actually liked shady posts about the situation under her account.

June Ambrose On Working With Jay Z, Balancing Family And America’s Political Nightmare

NEW YORK, NY - MARCH 14: (L-R) Jay-Z and June Ambrose attend the "Styled By June" premiere screening at the Crosby Street Hotel on March 14, 2012 in New York City.

June Ambrose Weighs In On Political Climate And Reveals Why She Wears Hats

BOSSIP caught up with famed fashion stylist and friend to the stars June Ambrose over the weekend at the Ford and Essence My City 4 Ways event and let’s just say were are completely enthralled. We spoke to June about her extensive history styling rap videos, working with Jay Z and the unusual politricks of Donald Trump .

We asked June about Hov and Bey’s recent appearance at Made in America and she revealed that the festival proved to be a fun time for her and her kids.

“It was so good not to really have to work,” Ambrose told BOSSIP. “He [Jay] was in a hoodie. No skillset there. I didn’t want to charge for that. It was so much fun. My kids had a great time. [My daughter] Summer is vlogging now. I had them all [Ty Ty, Angie Martinz’s kids] towards the end of the night, it was like ‘How do I end up with this job?’ But it was fun.”

Having worked with Hov throughout a career that spans over twenty years, we asked Ambrose if she’s often plagued with questions about her clients’ personal life, particularly since Jay Z and Beyoncé are famously private.

“When you look at my social media lifestyle is my story, you start to change your narrative,” Ambrose told BOSSIP. “I think that initially, they would be like, ‘How’s???’ whatever is happening, like when Blue was born. It’s their story to tell, that’s my response. Let them tell the story. I wasn’t hired to do that. I’m not a publicist. We don’t have to speak. I’m not a media whore. You can acknowledge the work that you’ve contributed, but I think you do yourself a disservice when you make it about the client. I think it’s two separate celebrations.”

Hype Williams recently shared his award with Ambrose when he was honored at VH1’s “Hip-Hop Honors: 90’s Game Changers” show, and the stylist says she couldn’t be more appreciative of his words.

“To die, right? Ambrose asked BOSSIP. I didn’t see that coming. Hype and I have done a lot. I am so grateful for him because he really allowed me a creative platform that really crafted my career and at a time when you feel so invisible and people really don’t want to necessarily acknowledge that this happened, the timing for me was like giving my roses now moment. For me, it was very emotional. It was humbling. For me I felt for him because I know our journey has been a long one, 200 music videos later, and having to edit a compilation that doesn’t even TOUCH — that was like 5% of the stuff he’s done and for him to acknowledge that we were in it together, that really meant a lot.

Prince Williams/ATLPIcs.net

Ever the trendsetter, Ambrose kept her accessories to a minimum for the FORD event, going without the hats she’s been making a statement with in many recent appearances and letting BOSSIP in on a little stylist trick.

“I purposely did that,” Ambrose told BOSSIP with a smile. “I’m going to be present. I am a master deflector, so if I’m in flats and I need to look taller I will wear a hat, so my hat is my heels. Or if I’m feeling tired and I need someone to talk about something else, I’ll wear a hat so that it’s like dramatic conversation piece to deflect from the things you don’t want to discuss. So you’re like “Oh hey, great hat!” So today I wanted to be present and not disguise myself.”

Followers of June on Instagram find themselves frequently feasting their eyes on her culinary creations, but Ambrose revealed she hasn’t been able to cook much lately.

“I can’t wait to get back in my kitchen,” Ambrose told BOSSIP. ” We re-did the kitchen, I literally gutted the kitchen, so when I get back I can’t wait. Summer has dominated the kitchen. She’s been to culinary school for four summers now so I travel and she handles everything and no one is unhappy at home. She’s killer. Super talented. My son is a techie, computer geek. He’s a hard worker academically, so she likes to feed him. “

BOSSIP was also eager to ask Ambrose about the father of her two teenagers, Marc Chamblin, who has been married to the stylist for nearly two decades.

“17 years we’ve been together,” Ambrose revealed to BOSSIP about her marriage. “We’re friends. Any relationship you want to strangle each other, but we recognize that we are in business together, we continue to try to like each other as human beings. We admire what we have produced together in terms of the kids and we try to create an environment for them that’s transparent and honest and safe. We just decided we’re in this together. We just try to be patient and understanding as possible. We live two different lifestyles, but he tries to understand mine because he books it. He’s the management side. It’s a nice yin and a yang. He’s super quiet. They’re teenagers now so you spend more time trying to pay attention to them, but we try to do date night and go to a movie or premiere together.

June also revealed she’s been working on several new projects, including a second book and a TV project that she only described in minimal detail.

“I’ve been focusing more on other things like writing and working on television projects,” June told BOSSIP. “Television is an interesting place, and there is always opportunity, I worked on something recently. I shot something that if it’s supposed to be it will be. It will be really an adventure.

The book that I’m working on is fiction. I’m having a lot of fun.

Since we were at a Ford event we asked Ambrose about her history with the brand and she couldn’t help but wax nostalgic about Obama’s relationship with the carmaker.

“We’ve used Ford in music videos before, tons of times,” Ambrose told BOSSIP. ” I like the bossiness of the truck and I like that Ford is an American made vehicle and I think that at the time that Barack needed to bail out the auto industry the Ford name was at the forefront of everyone’s minds. I think the fact they were able to stay in the country and make something happen says a lot about the brand. It reminds me of Barack. Everything reminds me of him now. I miss him. It feels like we’re living in a nightmare every day.”

To say Ambrose is no fan of Trump is an understatement. The creative director minced no words when addressing America’s political climate and the current resident of the White House.

“He’s the leader of the country,” Ambrose said of 45. “I don’t care about Republican or Democrat at this point. He has to know that he has to do better. We don’t feel safe as Americans and until you make me feel safe, I’ll never stop expressing that I’m disappointed in the performance because I’m disappointed. It’s not something I want my kids to watch, it’s not a place we want to be as a country. It’s divisive behavior and he hasn’t changed it.

“Frankly, I don’t think he cares,” Ambrose continued. I don’t know why I should say anything nice about him when he’s not giving us a reason to say anything nice. I don’t have any hard feelings about speaking the truth that everyone can see with two eyes and two ears. It’s not cool. I just don’t understand how the American people can make this happen. I understand that it was very confusing for people, but I don’t understand how they made this happen. He won. We have to figure out. MIdterm elections are very important. We have to be vigilant. We have to be active. If you did not vote for this election you have to vote for midterm elections. We are going to be so badly damaged by the end of this term. I don’t like the way this smells.”

Gotta love her outspokenness.

Beyonce Drops Record To Support Puerto Rico And Mexico

Since the President isn’t all that concerned about stepping in for our Puerto Rican cousins in distress, folks from the entertainment industry are picking up the mantle and stepping in to use their money and influence to help out.

Beyonce is the latest entertainer to help out, using her talent to give fans a way to donate through downloads.

Bey recorded a verse — en espanol — on the Latin radio hit “Mi Gente,” by J. Balvin and Willy William.

In her typical style story post, Bey unveiled the track and let folks know all her proceeds are going directly to benefit those affected by the earthquakes in Mexico and the hurricanes in Puerto Rico and the rest of the Caribbean.

You Can’t Sit With Us: Presidents Obama, Bush, And Clinton Kick It On The Golf Course…WITHOUT The Orange Guy

Former Presidents Enjoy Golf Event Without Donald Trump

Y’all’s president Donald Trump is quite the avid golfer, but it looks like the rest of the recent members of the President’s club spent the afternoon enjoying his favorite pastime without him today.

#44, #43, and #42 — that is, Obama, Bush, and Clinton — all came together for the President’s Cup on Thursday, and conveniently forgot to send Old Orange Donnie his invite. The ex-prezes looked comfortable kicking it at the trophy presentation together at Liberty National Golf Club in New Jersey — a mere 40 miles away from Trump’s own golf course.

Granted, the current Commander in Chief has more important things to worry about…but since he spends so much time tweeting and worrying about what’s going on in the media, sports and entertainment industry, it stands to reason that he might have had a few hours in his afternoon to chatter with some men who actually had some semblance of an idea of what they were doing while in office.

But it’s just as well that he wasn’t invited didn’t make it. Besides, these guys look like they’re actually having a great time. Wouldn’t want to put a damper on it with a bunch of covfefe.

Judge Tosses Out Injured Cop’s Case Against DeRay McKesson And Black Lives Matter

Judge Tosses Out Cop’s Case Against Black Lives Matter

Remember when we told you how an injured officer sued the Black Lives Matter movement and DeRay McKesson after getting shot by Gavin Long in the infamous July 17, 2016 attack in Dallas?

The cop, who only goes by John Doe Smith, was shot in the head and through the intestine during the attack that claimed two police lives and wounded several others. He blamed Black Lives Matter for their presence on the scene “inciting violence” to cause Gavin to snipe the cops, and sought damages to the tune of $75,000 for his surgery bills.

The thing is…Black Lives Matter is a movement, not a specified group of people or a business. So there’s really no one in particular to sue.

According to TMZ, the judge ultimately dismissed the case due to the fact that BLM is a social movement, and McKesson as an individual was only using his first amendment right by appearing at the protest — not inciting anyone to commit any acts of violence.

It’s truly unfortunate what happened to his officer, but you can’t blame the peaceful protestors on the scene exercising their rights for the reckless actions of one disturbed individual.
