Pablo Escobar’s Brother Files Billion-Dollar Lawsuit Against Netflix

Narcos has been a huge hit series for Netflix. The streaming service has just recently launched season 3 of the powder-coated dramatization of trafficking tales of Pablo Escobar and the coke-dealing cartels.

While most people are in love with the show, there is one man in particular who really isn’t feelin’ it. Pablo’s 71-year-old brother, Roberto De Jesus Escobar Gaviria.

Here’s what he told The Hollywood Reporter:

“I don’t want Netflix or any other film production company to film any movies in Medellin or Colombia that relates to me or my brother Pablo without authorization from Escobar Inc.,” Gaviria said. “It is very dangerous. Especially without our blessing. This is my country.”

That sounds a LOT like: “Run me my coins or it will get muy feo, comprende?”

Some might shrug that off as tough talk, but consider this, according to El Pais, a location scout, Carlos Munoz Portal, was murdered in rural Mexico on September 11 while simply doing his job.

Sh!t is real. So real that in addition to the somewhat sinister threat, Gaviria has also filed a $1 billion lawsuit against Netflix on behalf of Escobar Inc. Here’s what he told THR about the suit:

Netflix are scared. They sent us a long letter to threaten us. Right now, we are in discussions with them through our attorneys Browne George Ross LLP to obtain our $1 billion payment. If we don’t receive it, we will close their little show.

You see, we own all the trademarks to all of our names and also for the Narcos brand. I don’t play around with these people in Silicon Valley. They have their phones and nice products. But they don’t know life and would never dare to survive in the jungle of Medellin or Colombia. I have done that.

Their mothers should have left them in the womb. That is what we tell people like this if they come to Colombia.

We’ve seen what happens to people who fool around with cartel. At this point, we don’t even wanna use our cousin’s girlfriend’s bother’s baby mama’s password anymore.

Step-Mom And Daughter Popped Over Viscous Road Rage Attack

This is crazy.

Two Pasco county, Florida women completely lost their isht over a rage rage incident and started to violently beat another woman–and it was all caught on tape.

A witnessed noticed the Step mom and daughter driving aggressively, cutting people off and speeding. Sure enough, they got so upset that a slow driving car caused them to miss a green light, the pair jumped out. One woman jumped into the vehicle to put the victim’s car in park and the other woman ripped her out by her hair and attacked her viciously. That’s when the anonymous witness started to record.

The victim, Emilly Bailey said  she would lose consciousness after getting hit multiple times in the face and body.

“When I looked into the woman’s eyes, I saw pure rage. It looked like she wanted to kill me,” Bailey told WFLA. “During those times, the daughter said, stop hitting my mom. Quit hitting my mom. And, then she hit me again. And, everything went black.”

The Daily News confirms the violent duo have been arrested. helley Lyn Gamberling, 49, and the 20-year-old Alicia Scarduzio were charged with burglary and aggravated battery. Yikes.

High School Students Wear Blasphemous Sweatshirts For Spirit Week

Sigh. Here we go again.

Two white students at a high school in Alabama are facing backlash and discipline after they were photographed wearing sweatshirts saying ‘Demon Chasin N*****’ and holding up horns. The photo of the students wearing the clothing in a hallway at Ardmore High School was shared on Snapchat with the caption “They let them wear this to school?”

When a teacher was made aware of the photo, Limestone County Schools spokeswoman Karen Tucker said the students’ sweatshirts were confiscated, but didn’t specify what discipline the students faced. She gave a statement saying, “The students’ actions are a violation of the core values of our schools system and do not represent the student body. We hold our students to the highest standards and we will not tolerate this type of behavior.”

This photo is thought to have been taken during the school’s homecoming spirit week for Wednesday’s “twin day” festivities. How spirited, indeed.

Again, nobody at the school disclosed what “punishment” was given to these two students, but unless they were expelled…it’s quiet for them. The fact that the school supposedly only confiscated after the photo was posted means they probably wore them to school more than once, and teachers at the school turned a blind eye to the completely nonsense.

Kylie Jenner Pregnant With Travis Scott’s Baby

Welp, it was only a matter of time we suppose.

Multiple sources have reported to TMZ that Kylie Jenner is pregnant as hell and Travis Scott is about to be a brand new daddy.

Word is that Kylie began to spread the word that she was spreading her legs so that Travis could spread his seed a few weeks ago at the Day N Night music festival.

Travis has also been telling his friends and family about his impending first born, and although Kylie doesn’t appear to be far enough along in her purported pregnancy, it is said that she’s carrying a baby girl.

Donald Trump Says NFL Owners Should Fire Flag Protesters

Yall’s president came out his face to suggest that NFL players who dare use their first amendment rights and general freedom of choice to decide not to stand up for the national anthem at games should be fired by league owners. Oh, and he also made a point to call their mothers out of their names, because of course, he did.

Wow, such presidential language used to suggest that African Americans ought to lose their jobs over protesting for change in a system that doesn’t favor people that look like them. SMH.

Despite surveillance footage depicting Kenneka Jenkins stumbling around deserted areas of the Crowne Plaza hotel moments before she wandered into a freezer, many people insist there is much more to the story. Social media sleuths have now claimed that the tapes must be tampered with and edited, and some people even insist that they see hands, feet, a boy in a blue jacket and a man in a white shirt standing motionless in the background or around corners of the video where Kenneka is seen struggling to keep balance in the hotel hallways alone.

As such, people are now gathered outside of the hotel, insisting that police release more footage and the “real, unedited” versions of these tapes so they can determine for themselves what truly happened on the night that Kenneka passed away.

Carmelo Anthony Pledges $50,000 For Puerto Rico

Carmelo Anthony has pledged to donate $50,000 in a relief fund for Puerto Rico following the devastation created by hurricanes Maria and Irma hitting the island. The fund was launched via a YouCaring crowdfunding campaign, and the goal is to raise $1,000,000 for the island. As of right now, the crowdfunding has reached $150,000.

Melo posted a heartfelt message to the Players’ Tribune explaining why he’s taking the lead in helping to fund Puerto Rico:

“Right now, as I’m sitting here on Thursday night, there’s thousands of little kids sitting in the dark. They might not have a roof over their heads anymore. Their houses might be totally destroyed. Their refrigerators aren’t running. They might not have much food or clean water to last them the week.Where are they sleeping tonight? What are they gonna eat tomorrow? What the hell is going to happen to these kids? This is what’s running through my mind right now.We have to do something to help these kids and their families. I’m half Puerto Rican, and I’m proud of it. Puerto Ricans are my people. But this is about more than that. Puerto Ricans are our fellow Americans. Puerto Ricans are our fellow man. They need our help,”

Anthony has done philanthropic deeds for Puerto Rico in the past. For many years he has visited to rebuild basketball courts through his charitable foundation, so that the kids there have proper facilities to play in.

Fresh off of his new batch of racially incendiary comments about the NFL, America’s sensitive burnt sienna POTUS is once again butt-hurt by someone who hasn’t torn an ACL in a rush to kiss his rusty wrinkled a$$.

Since they walked of the court with the Larry O’Brien trophy back in June, the question that has been circulating around sports conversations is: “Are the Warriors REALLY going to go shake hands and be chummy with Donald f**kin’ Trump at the White House?”

During media day yesterday, Steph Curry provided an answer:

In typical d!ck-measuring fashion, Donald hopped on Twitter to retort with a 140-character version of “you can’t fire me, I quit!”

That’s right. Getting an invite to breathe air with a man such as Donald Trump is an honor and a privilege according to Donald Trump.

Mexican Couple Arrested In Waiting Room Of Baby’s Operation

ICE is really grimey.

Oscar and Irma Sanchez, both undocumented immigrants temporarily living in Texas, were arrested while awaiting a serious surgery for their two-month-old son. Reportedly, the couple came into contact with Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials back in May while seeking treatment for their son Isaac’s pyloric stenosis, a condition that causes vomiting and weight loss in infants.

Absolutely no hospital could perform the life saving surgery in the Rio Grande Valley area where the couple lives, so they would have to drive to a children’s hospital in Corpus Christi, TX—and past a Border Patrol checkpoint. As the couple sat in a hospital trying to figure out plans for their sick son, a Border Patrol agent turned up in the waiting room. Oscar Sanchez told NPR he suspects a nurse called the authorities on them.

Their tiny, sick son is a U.S. citizen and his operation was covered by medicaid. ICE agents agreed to let him have his surgery they were waiting on, and then arrested the parents as soon as it was finished. What a nightmare!

The Border Patrol followed the ambulance, the night of May 24, as it raced to Corpus through desolate ranchland, carrying Oscar, Irma and tiny Isaac — with an IV in his arm and a tube in his stomach. Once they arrived at Driscoll Children’s Hospital, the green-uniformed agents never left the undocumented couple’s side. Officers followed the father to the bathroom and the cafeteria and asked the mother to leave the door open when she breast-fed Isaac.

“Everywhere we went in the hospital,” Oscar says, “they followed us.”

Get this: Advocacy groups said the treatment the Sanchez family was subjected to is usually reserved for high-value targets like violent gang members or drug traffickers. Neither Oscar nor Irma have a criminal record.

Jay And Bey Purchase A Home In The Hamptons

Jay-Z and Beyoncé just dropped $26 million on a mansion in the Hamptons, in one of the East End’s most exclusive and sought after neighborhoods. Page Six reported that the couple bought a 12,000-square-foot home on East Hampton’s elusive Georgica Pond. Their new seven-bedroom property sits on 2 acres and has 203 feet of Georgica Pond frontage.

The property is called the Pond House and has been on the market for eight years. It first hit the market in 2009 for $39.5 million. From that point forward, it underwent several price cuts (you know how Jay is with his investing, guess he’s probably not feeling so dumbo now). Neighbors include billionaire Ronald Perelman, Steven Spielberg and Martha Stewart.

According to sources close to Page Six, Jay and Bey have been searching for a Hamptons house for a while after having previously staying out East in homes of their friends like P Diddy. The sale was made official last week, when the two were spotted at art fair the Bridge–an art fair held at the Hamptons golf club of the same name. The Knowles-Carters were photographed making their way around on a golf cart as they picked out art for their new home.

Oprah Speaks At A Tribeca TV Festival Panel

Oprah Winfrey spoke about the secrets to her success during a panel at the inaugural Tribeca TV Festival on Friday. The icon was at the festival to debut her OWN docuseries “Released.”

“Years ago I learned that your intention determines the outcome of anything you do. One of the reasons why the ‘Oprah’ show was number one all those years is because we had intended for it to be so.” She also explained that before every single show, she would “meet the producers and ask them, ‘Don’t just give me a show idea, have an intention behind show,’ and then I have to be able to find my own intention within the show, some stream of truth, so that I will not be sitting there being phony.’”

After that, she shares the one commonality among every guest she’s ever had on the show, which you can see in the video above.

Word on the street is that Oprah’s BFF Gayle King was in the audience for the panel supporting her friend from behind the scenes. So endearing.

 Couple Kills And Burns Their Nanny In Their Backyard

A couple, Sabrina Kouider and Ouissem Medouni, have appeared in court charged with murder after the police discoved of a badly burned body in the garden of their London home.

Authorities have been unable to tell the age or gender of the body due to the level of burns, but the victim has been named in local reports as Sophie Lionnet, a nanny who is said to have worked for the two. Police discovered the body on Wednesday after parents walking their children home from school reported a large fire and “weird barbecue smell”, according to reports.

A friend of the nanny told the Daily Mail she was unhappy living there, adding: “She had finally decided to go home, though, and had just asked her mum to send her £40 so she could afford the fare. She was supposed to have gone back on Monday. She never arrived.”

Lionnet had been living with the family for a little over a year, caring for Kouider’s 3-year-old daughter and 6-year-old son.

Wisconsin School Forces Girls To Send Advanced Pics Of Homecoming Dresses

Seriously?

A Wisconsin high school is requiring that “dress wearing students” (see, 99.9% of women) to submit a photo of their dress before they will be allowed to purchase tickets for the homecoming dance according to ABCNews.

Pewaukee High School has a strict dress code prohibiting spaghetti straps, show midriff, show cleavage or have a skirt that is shorter than fingertip length. But many students AND parents find it a bit creepy to have to submit photos of their daughters to the school.

If a photo is not sent, the parents have been asked to email the principal to assure that they will only buy dresses that comply with the school’s regulations.

While some are supportive of such a rule, the outrage smoldering, especially online. 17-year-old Senior Nicole Stark had this to say:

“Honestly, I would much rather get turned away at the door than to have to send a picture of myself wearing a dress,” Stark said.

Student mom Michelle Jenkins also spoke out against the school:

“I just wish they would trust our upperclassman to have some class and represent their school in a tasteful manner,” she said.

“We are obviously paying for these dresses and allowing our children to go to this dance wearing what we feel is appropriate, and I think that’s really the point here.”

“Teen expert” Rosalind Wiseman weighed-in as well:

“What we’re looking at is arbitrary standards that an adult gets to decide, and what that does is shame the young person and says, ‘You don’t get to belong here because of the way that your body looks,'”

Pregnant Woman Gets Struck By Lightning

Doctors in Florida successfully delivered a baby after the mother was gravely injured. According to NBC 2, a woman who was 9 months pregnant was struck by a bolt of lightning in the head as she was walking with her mother.

That woman, Meghan Davidson of Fort Myers, Florida, is still in critical condition and her baby who was born via an emergency delivery, is still hospitalized.

The news station reports that Davidson’s church members are remaining optimistic about her recovery.

“Meghan is showing signs of improvement. They have lowered the amount of oxygen that she is getting and they have lowered the sedation,” Bridges said.

“We are just all praying for a miracle.”
