Touché: T.I. Eviscerates Joel Osteen For FINALLY Opening His Church To Flood Victims

T.I. Drags Joel Osteen
T.I. is none too pleased with a Megachurch Pastor who dragged his feet about sheltering victims of Hurricane Harvey. After Joel Osteen got draaaaaaagged for not volunteering to help Houston residents displaced by flooding, the Lakewood Church leader decided to finally open his doors—even though he denied that they were closed in the first place.
“We have never closed our doors,” Senior Pastor Joel Osteen said in a statement quoted by ABC and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “We will continue to be a distribution center to those in need. We are prepared to house people once shelters reach capacity. Lakewood will be a value to the community in the aftermath of this storm.”
Mind you, Lakewood Church previously released a statement saying they were “inaccessible” due to severe flooding.

Unfortunately for Osteen a BIG mad King Of The South heard about the messy church business going down and decided to drag him to Ecclesiastes for being a”clown” and a “fraud.”
“This is why people (like me) don’t trust the mega churches. How can someone (especially a so called man of God) make 70+Ms a yr TAX FREE from citizens of a city that’s now in distress & in dyer need of food water & shelter NOT OPEN THE DOORS OF GODs HOUSE (supposedly) to help those in need?” said Tip.
“@Joelosteen YOU SIR ARE A FRAUD!!!! Ministers,preachers,pastors, reverends are all supposed to be SERVANTS sent here to do the LORDS work. Not just sitting back in comfort watching as satin [sic] has his way!!!! FOH!!!”

ASICS’s newest sneaker is a nod to the beast within.
More than 100 sneaker heads and style influencers attended ASICS’s launch for its new GEL-Lyte II Aug. 24 at atmos NYC in Harlem, and the sneaker’s design has a tiger theme.

The $160 sneaker comes in a camouflage design with elements of red, black and green throughout, and has ASICS’s signature split tongue at the front.

Besides sneaker shopping, guests at the event – sponsored by TYKU Sake – got tatted up by a tattoo artist on site and enjoyed TYKU sake cocktails and Japanese apps like Takoyaki, a Japanese ball shaped snack filled with octopus.

Distressed Hurricane Harvey Survivor Goes Off On CNN Reporter For Using Victims’ Pain For Ratings In The Middle Of Crisis [Video]
CNN correspondent Rosa Flores asked a woman by the name of Danielle about her experience protecting her children in the flood waters just moments after she arrived at the shelter. To provide context, this was after waiting for 36 hours for help from emergency services which never came, forcing this woman to wade through 4-feet of contaminated flood runoff to a nearby gas station to hail a cab to the help center.
SMH. This mother has been through the ringer with her two kids, and clearly wasn’t feeling being asked about her situation before having a chance to get her family settled in. Her frustration is pretty understandable.

Backpedaling Becky: “Bachelor In Paradise” Corinne Olympios Now Says She Was NOT A Victim Of Sexual Misconduct
Corinne Olympios Admits DeMario Jackson Did Not Victimize Her
Corinne Olympios’ claims that she was too drunk to consent to a sexual act she engaged in with DeMario Jackson — in an open space, in front of reality TV cameras — got production of “Bachelor in Paradise” shut down for six weeks earlier this year.
At the time, she claimed she was a victim in those exact terms. But now, she says that wasn’t the case.
During an interview with Good Morning America today, she spoke out about the incident for the first time, and said that the only thing she was a victim to was the media’s perception of her.
…OK.
If you’ll recall, Warner Brothers did a full investigation of the incident and came to the conclusion that no sexual misconduct went on between Corinne and DeMario.
Corinne says she still “remembers nothing from the situation,” But ultimately, she owns that she should have kept her wits about her so she wouldn’t even have room to question what happened that night.
“I did drink too much. I definitely understand that, but I was also on a medication that severely blacks you out and impairs your judgment, messes with your balance … I didn’t know that you were supposed to not drink on [the medication]. It really just caused a horrible, horrible blackout. It was like I went under anesthesia and then just woke up.”
But if you KNOW your medication takes you down sometimes…WHY would you mix it with alcohol in house full of strangers and cameras??

At the time, Corinne was not very outspoken about the fact that she was a participating party in the drunken on-camera sexcapade, but apparently that has changed.
According to TMZ, Corinne FINALLY spoke publicly cleared DeMario of any wrongdoing during the Bachelor in Paradise reunion episode:

Joel Osteen Speaks On Lakewood Church Controversy
Joel Osteen has a perfectly good explanation for what went down at his Lakewood megachurch in Houston. After the Pastor was destroyed to Deuteronomy for not opening his doors soon enough to victims of Hurricane Harvey, he appeared on TODAY to defend his actions.
According to the church leader he never turned away evacuees from Hurricane Harvey and city officials initially didn’t ask him to use it as a shelter.
“(The city) didn’t need us as shelter then,” Osteen said. “If we needed to be a shelter, we certainly would’ve been a shelter right when they first asked.
He also noted that there was a shelter just 4 miles away that was being used and once it filled up, he was asked to open his church–which was actually never closed in the first place.
Sure.
“Once they filled up, they never dreamed that we’d have this many displaced people, (and) they asked us to become a shelter,” said Osteen. “I think this notion that somehow we would turn people away or we weren’t here for the city is about as false as can be.”
Our church doors have always been open,” Osteen said. “We took people in right when waters started to recede, which was a day or two after the storm hit.”
Osteen also stated that safety played a factor considering that the church’s lower level flooded back in 2001.

According to People, Red Cross felt overjoyed about Bullock’s whopping donation:
