Kevin Hart Calls On His Friends To Donate To Red Cross

With Hurricane Harvey coming in strong and devastating pictures circulating the internet, many look to celebrities and their deep pockets for some contributions. Kevin Hart took to his Instagram on Monday to start a “Hurricane Harvey Relief Challenge,” inspired by all of the other challenges people on IG and Twitter partake in every day.

Hart explains that he is donating $25,000 to Red Cross for Hurricane Harvey relief, and urges all of his celebrity friends to do the same. He specifically calls out The Rock, Beyonce, Chris Rock, Jay Z, Dave Chappelle, Jerry Seinfeld, Steve Harvey, and Justin Timberlake.

DJ Khaled quickly followed suit a few hours after Kevin posted his challenge, confirming that he will be following suit and donating $25,000 himself.

T.I. and Chris Brown also jumped in head first with their generous donations, but both expressed weariness about Red Cross and urged Hart to find another organization to give the money to. Brown decided to up the anti and give $100,000 to the people.

Katy Perry Sued By Stagehand Who Lost Her Toe In Accident

Katy Perry’s former stagehand from a tour a few years back, is suing the pop star for pain and suffering after losing a digit on the job. Christina Fish alleges she lost her toe during an accident while working as a stagehand during Perry’s Prismatic World Tour in Raleigh, N.C., in 2014, according to TMZ.

Fish reportedly claims in the suit that she was asked to help move a wall that got stuck and rolled across her foot. She then says her she felt her show fill up with blood and no one offered to help her get medical care. Instead she claims she had to call a friend to take her to the ER. Ouch!

Fish was unable to use her foot for several months due to the extent of the injury, her big toe had to be removed. Graphic images obtained by TMZ show her before and after amputation proof. That sucks!

Reps for Katy have yet to comment and it is unclear how much the lady is asking for.

Michael Vick And Kijafa Expecting A Baby Boy

Michael Vick and his “Baller Wives” wife have revealed the sex of their baby. The Miami couple was seen on Kijafa’s VH1 reality show having a gender reveal party where they popped a balloon to reveal the baby’s sex.

The balloon revealed blue confetti confirming that a mini Michael Vick is on the way–literally; they plan to name their son Michael Vick, Jr.

This will be the third child for the Vicks, his fourth. The couple has two daughters, London and Jada, and Michael has a son, Mitez Vick, from a previous relationship.

Congrats to the happy couple!

Sade Adu’s Transgender Son Expresses Feelings After Surgery

Sade Adu’s 21-year-old seed began his physical transition from female to male with hormones in recent months and the young adult is still recovering from breast removal surgery. Izzak Theo, formerly Mickailia “Ila” Adu is now openly expressing his feelings on being a trans person today.

Being transgender is hard. Everyday is a struggle. You are constantly fighting for the world to accept you and sometimes you even fight yourself. You may compare yourself to cis males (or females) and even other trans men or women and it can be absolutely exhausting.

Cuban Kim Kardashian Arrested

An Instagram model with over 5 million followers was recently popped for a DUI. Katherine Ferreira a.k.a. “The Cuban Kim Kardashian” was arrested in Miami for alleged DUI and fleeing police after leaving a 24-hour strip club, according to Splash News.

Ferreira, 25, was partying at Club E11even and left at 8.30am Sunday in her Range Rover before evading cops who attempted to pull her over for running a stop sign.

A second officer then pulled her over a second time and issued a field sobriety test that she failed after blowing .198 and .197, over twice the legal limit.

Footage of her sobriety test has since surfaced.

Tabria Majors is over 200 pounds and proud of her incredible thicky-delicious baaawdy. The 5’10 thick-thighed plus size model who’ve covered several times recently chatted with Galore Mag about the highs and lows of being a working model, body positivity, and stereotypes.

Here are a couple of our favorite excerpts:

Galore: What is one stereotype you hope to break as a plus-sized model?

Tabria: One stereotype I can’t stand is that plus models don’t work out and sit around constantly stuffing their face! Nothing could be further from the truth. To say we don’t care about our health simply because we’re naturally thicker is absurd.

Galore: Models have started to speak up about having surgery/carrying “fat suits” to appear more curvy but some believe this is going against the “Body Positive” message you’ll push–What are your thoughts on this?

Tabria: Body positivity started as a movement for and by thicker women to combat fat shaming and serve as a community of acceptance no matter your size. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with getting plastic surgery (I’ve had it myself for breast implants) or wearing garments to make you appear more curvy; however, the problem lies in people not being transparent about it. You’re not obligated to tell anyone about personal issues such as these, but when it’s being masked under the guise of a body positivity it becomes a problem. Girls start aspiring to these “body goals” and may go to great lengths to achieve them, not knowing that it’s unnatural. The body positive community is a very vulnerable space for people, and if you knowingly misrepresent yourself claiming to be a part of it, then it’s not the space for you.

Galore: What is your ultimate goal as a model?

Tabria: My ultimate goal is to increase visibility among plus sized and black women. I’d love to continue doing this through social media and also by landing more campaigns, expanding into more runway work, and creating a lane for plus size high fashion. The immediate goal I’m focusing on now is the hopefully winning Sports Illustrated swim search *fingers crossed*

Tabria also posed for some sexy (and very greasy) photos for Galore and yes, they’re glorious. She’s now using them to promote the 200-pound plus club that she’s proud to be part of.

Tampa College Professor Fired For “Karma” Tweet About Hurricane Harvey

A professor at the University of Tampa has been fired after sending a tasteless tweet.

Wish it was this easy to get rid of Donald Trump based on that premise.

Anyway, according to the Tampa Bay Times, Kenneth L. Storey was fired from his gig at the college after tweeting that Hurricane Harvey was “instant karma” for the state of Texas voting Republican in the 2016 Presidential election.

“I don’t believe in instant karma but this kinda feels like it for Texas. Hopefully this will help them realize the GOP doesn’t care about them.”

Yikes. In response, the school released the following statement:

“We condemn the comments and the sentiment behind them, and understand the pain this irresponsible act has caused,” university spokesman Eric Cardenas said in a statement Tuesday morning, after the school weathered an outpouring of online outrage. “As Floridians, we are well aware of the destruction and suffering associated with tropical weather.”

It never fails. Florida is just disrespectful. SMH.
