Glory Johnson Accused Of Ignoring Terms Of Her Plea Deal For Fight With Brittney Griner
The WNBA’s Glory Johnson is likely breathing a sigh of relief this weekend after she narrowly escaped jail for violating the terms of her plea deal for a fight with ex-Brittney Griner.
Johnson was in an Arizona court Wednesday to face the judge after she skipped out on the court-ordered domestic violence prevention classes that she was supposed to complete as part of her plea deal for brawling with her now ex-wife Brittney Griner.
Johnson pled guilty in 2015 to disorderly conduct (domestic violence) stemming from a brawl with her then fiance, Brittney Griner. Prosecutors agreed to dismiss her assault charge as part of a plea deal.

Under the deal, Johnson was ordered to pay a $236 fine and attend six months of domestic violence counseling. However, a judge found that Johnson ignored her sentence and he issued the warrant, according to court docs.
However, at the hearing Wednesday, Johnson’s legal team provided proof that Johnson had indeed took the 26 week course, so prosecutors filed a motion that Johnson had indeed completed the domestic violence prevention classes.
It wasn’t clear why Johnson decided not to attend the classes in the first place. We’ve reached out her lawyer for comment.
Despite the brawl, Griner and Johnson married in 2015, but split up less than a year later. The pair share ear old twins Ava Simone and Solei Diem.

Kentucky’s Last Abortion Clinic Might Not Last Long
As soon as Republicans took control over the state of Kentucky, they quickly began to pass new restrictions on abortions. Governor Matt Bevin is proudly waging a licensing fight against a Louisville clinic that is the last remaining facility performing abortions in the entire state. Another group against abortions, a Christian fundamentalist group called Operation Save America, plans to mobilize hundreds of activists to protest against EMW Women’s Surgical Center.
This particular clinic has been open since the early 1980’s, and co-founder of the clinic Dr. Ernest Marshall said, “We have never been under siege like this…we have never had any question as to whether we would exist.” Like many abortion clinics, protestors have been planted outside this one in Kentucky for years–signs outside the facility include statements like,”Abortion an American Holocaust,” and protesters were seen telling one man entering the clinic, “Men don’t kill their babies. Man up.”
Bills passed in since Governor Bevin has taken office include a measure banning abortions in Kentucky after 20 weeks of pregnancy unless the mother’s life is in danger. Another requires the abortion doctor or a “qualified technician” to perform an ultrasound and then try to show fetal images to the pregnant woman before she consents to an abortion.
Of course, The Supreme Court has found that access to an abortion must be guaranteed, but it is unknown if not having a single abortion clinic in a state will fall below those guidelines.

Breakin’ Barriers: It’s 2017 And Rochester, NY JUST Got Their First African-American Woman Firefighter

First African-American Woman Firefighter Joins Rochester Fire Dept.
It’s pretty crazy that in 2017 there are still so many “first” African-Americans to do jobs that we are MORE than qualified to do, but we digress.
A report in WHEC states that just this past Friday, the very first African-American woman took the oath to become a firefighter in the Rochester Fire Department.
Alissa Turner is one of nineteen new recruits who became official Friday night.
“I knew that I wanted to help the community,” Turner said. “I didn’t know how. I came back from Afghanistan. I didn’t know how I wanted to help or what I wanted to do.”
Alissa found the inspiration she was looking for when her grandmother became ill and someone called 911:
“Unfortunately my grandmother passed away,” Turner said. “But during that day, Engine 5 from Lyell Avenue (responded). So the RFD was there for me.”
In addition to being the only Black firefighter out of 480 in the RFD, Alissa is only one of 15 women on the force.

Madame Tussaud’s heard all the criticism they were receiving after displaying their wax figure of Beyonce. The museum got dragged into the 4th Ward after fans peeped their caucasian looking version of Bey. Now the candle stick version of Bey Bey is back on display…with a few changes, of course.

The museum sent out an email, explaining the sorcery according to the NY Times:
“Our talented team of sculptors take every effort to ensure we accurately colour match all of our wax figures to the celebrity being depicted.”
“Lighting within the attraction combined with flash photography may distort and misrepresent the colour of our wax figures, which is something our sculptors are unable to account for at the production stage,” the statement said.

Will Smith Thinks ‘Star Wars’ Is Better Than Sex
Will Smith visited Comic Con this past week to host panels for his upcoming films, “Bright” and “Dead Note.” Both will be released on Netflix and are in the realm of fantasy thrillers, so it’s only right Will takes to the San Diego Comic Con stage to discuss his long-lasting love of science fiction.
Smith brought up the first time he ever saw “Star Wars,” which happened when he was 10 years old. This experience left a lasting impression on the actor, who said, “I’ve never been smashed like that in a movie theater…my mind was boggled.” Because the film was one of the first to come out with so many crazy special effects, Will remembers that everyone in the theater was “just completely blown away.” He explains that “Star Wars” inspired him to give others the same feelings he got when he saw the film, and he’s been chasing that his whole career.
The Fresh Prince said of the movie, “there was nothing that I had experienced in my life that matched that point of ecstasy….I had sex a few years later, it was close, but no ‘Star Wars.'” There you have it, nothing can get Will Smith as sprung as some good Science Fiction and special effects. Nothing beats your first time.

Back at it again with the shenanigans and legal issues. Chris Brown’s latest lawsuit is against a promoter in the Philippines, who Chris claims tried to extort him out of $300,000.
The alleged incident happened all the way back in 2014, when C Breezy was supposed to perform for a New Year’s Eve show. The show had to be rescheduled because of passport issues, and the new performances was set for July of 2015. Here’s where things get strange: when Brown tried to exit his hotel, he was met by armed men who were blocking his every move. Chris was told by the lawyer for the arena that he would be arrested if he didn’t pay Jose Victor Los Banos Biongco $300,000.
These scammers were no match for Christopher Maurice, and he called up an immigration lawyer right away. Eventually, the immigration lawyer got him out of the country without having to dish out $300K–all’s well that ends well. Well, not really. Because Chris is now suing the man for his “emotional distress” following the incident.

Over 90 People Hospitalized For Turning Up To Much At A Chance Concert
Hot 93.7’s Hot Jam at Xfinity Theatre in Hartford didn’t exactly go as planned for many concert-goers on Friday. Following Chance’s headlining set, more than 90 people were hospitalized, most of them due to excessive amounts of drinking. According to Hartford Deputy Chief Brian Foley, officers on the scene made 50 underage drinking referrals, with a majority of them being issued a court summons.
Foley shared a video on Twitter of the parking lot leading up to the concert, where it is suspected that all of the pre-gaming before the concert and hospitalization took place. Of course, these underage and legal drinkers were not hospitalized due to anything within the Chicago rapper’s control, so nobody is really to blame here beside those drinking without knowing their limits. But, like…who goes to a Chance The Rapper concert to turn up?? How fun is it to be drunk off Lime-A-Ritas when “Ultralight Beam” comes on??? Get your life together, y’all.

Brad Pitt was brought on stage at Frank Ocean’s FYF fest this Saturday, and the two have a little bit of history behind this first public encounter. We already shared the first part of Chyna's exclusive with People Magazine, the magazine just dropped another part of the interview where she describes in detail how it all went so left and Chyna reveals the couple didn't live together for much of their relationship:
“We lived together [at my house] for two months in the beginning, but he stressed me out every day,” Chyna tells PEOPLE of Kardashian, 30, in the current issue of PEOPLE. “And I said, ‘One thing you won’t do is stress me out with this baby in my belly.’ “ “About a month after Dream was born, I moved in with Rob at Kylie’s house for about a week. I put my pride aside — and I’m very prideful. I was like, ‘You know what? I actually want to be with this person. So guess what, Chyna, you need to go live in this lady’s house,’ which is his sister,” says Chyna. ” ‘There’s no bad blood or whatever, so be a family and figure it out.’ I moved in and one week later was like, ‘You know what? I don’t deserve this. I’m out. I’m not going to be disrespected.’ ”Since her move out, Chyna and Rob remained on their emotional rollercoaster up until July 5th, when Rob posted nude photos of Chyna as well as accusations that she used him to pay for plastic surgery, jewelry and to fund a lifestyle of drug abuse. Ticket Sales Soar For R. Kelly Concert
In light of the allegations that he’s running a sleazy sex cult, R. Kelly’s not seeing a decline in concert sales. As previously reported a family member of one of the Pied Piper’s alleged victims claims that Kells keeps his “babies” in his clutches by lavishing them with shopping sprees, handbags, lingerie, and spa trips—at the price of not having smart phones while being isolated from their families.
Now TMZ reports that all this Kelly scandal isn’t hurting his ticket sales, instead in at least one city it’s driving them up. According to the site, all 14 of Kells’ shows are still on schedule and there’s “huge” demand for tickets.
In Detroit in particular, ticket organizers report that they’ve been getting a high volume of calls this week alone and are almost sold out.

Rumors have been swirling recently that LeBron James forced his mama to dump his same-age step daddy after he was caught cheating. Her Miami rapper bae Lambo caught wind of these reports and took to Instagram to call out LeBron, posting the article he saw and denying he did anything to hurt his woman. Beyond denying the rumors tho, Mrs. James’ ting also decided to call out the Cleveland ball player, saying he’s an absolute dirty dog to his wife Savannah.
Lambo posted a bunch of things regarding the rumors, since deleting most of them except for the following video, where he threatens to expose LeBron and what terrible ways he’s allegedly treating his wife. He claims that Bron Bron was so threatened by how good Lamb was treating his mom, it made him look bad, and so he had to get him outta there.
In a since deleted Instagram post, Lambo then posted an article pertaining to his break-up saying “U!! Know the truth why we broke up! So should I tell the world the truth!!! ,U SAW ME TREAT YOUR MOM LIKE A QUEEN, AND I SAW YOU TREAT YOUR WIFE LIKE A!!! DON’T TRY AND MAKE THE WORLD THINK THAT LAMBO FUCKED UP!! LET THE WORLD KNOW WHATS THE REAL FUCKED UP PROBLEM IN THE FAMILY”
LeBron and Lambo used to be at least cordial with one another, but things are bound to get a little testosterone-heavy when your mother’s man is liiiiiike 1 year older than you. It’s up in the air whether the “truth” will come out, or if the Miami rapper will actually end up doing any exposing of his ex’s familia…but since he’s been deleting posts since his initial outbursts, it might not be likely.
