Florida Child Dead With Heroin And Fentanyl In His System

A 10-year-old boy in Florida is the latest and one of the youngest to die from our nationwide drug epidemic. The boy, Alton Banks, began vomiting after a trip to the public pool late in June. He was later found unconscious, and though he was rushed to a hospital, he was then pronounced dead.

The exact circumstances for the child’s death are still unknown, but preliminary toxicology reports show that he had both heroin and fentanyl in his system–according to Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernández Rundle, this combination is lethal, and has taken many lives across the country. Investigators do not suspect that Banks was exposed to these drugs at home, leading them to question how this tragedy happened.

In Florida, 3,228 people died from overdoses in 2015, a nearly 23 percent increase from the previous year. Because the case is still being investigated, Miami-Dade medical examiner’s office could not make any comment.

Ice Cube Tells A Story From NWA’s Humble Beginnings

As soon as those jerry curls hit the stage, it was over…

Everyone knows the details from ‘Straight Outta Compton,’ but Ice Cube is here to give us a story about NWA before they made it big. The Los Angeles natives traveled across the country to New York to do a performance at The Apollo, but before they could even spit one word, “boos” filled the whole place.

This story took place before they made it big, so nobody knew who they were…especially in New York. They ended up running into Rev Run after the show, who recognized Eazy-E. He told them to keep going, and not let that experience effect them because cats in New York just weren’t on their wave yet. Fast forward a couple years, the next time Ice Cube hit that Harlem stage, people were throwing money and knocking down doors to get in.

Quincy Jones Says Michael Jackson’s Estate Is Taking His Money

Quincy Jones produced Michael Jackson’s 3 biggest albums, “Off the Wall,” “Thriller” and “Bad.” Now, Jones is going to trial with Sony and MJJ Productions claiming that he’s been played, and isn’t getting paid off all the work he did for the late pop star’s music.

Jones is now 84, and court documents show that he was over 65 at the time he and music executives sat down to talk about money regarding Michael’s music. He is claiming that everyone involved clearly took advantage of his age to screw him out of the money he is entitled to for all of his work.

Quincy is suing for at least 10 million dollars, and he’s expected to testify in court later on this week.

Chad Johnson Impersonator Caught Up In LV Store

A man in downtown Aspen was arrested after he tried to use Chad Ochocinco’s identity to buy $18,000 worth of merchandise in the downtown Louis Vuitton store.  Mervin Cabe of Miami told employees he was the former NFL star. The Aspen Times reported that customers must have a “profile ID” at the Louis Vuitton store to make purchase. Cabe tried passing himself off as Chad Johnson, but he gave store employees the wrong birthday which led to his demise.

Ochocinco is known for his interactions within the Twitterverse, so of course he took a laugh at this interesting incident with a tweet replying to the side-by-side pictures of him and Cabe:

Usher Paid For Giving A Woman Herpes?

Well this is disgusting. According to Radar Online, Usher was giving out herpes and paying to keep it quiet. They allegedly grabbed some court documents claiming Usher gave a woman herpes and had to pay her a total of $1.1 million for her troubles.

Their romps went without a hitch until three weeks after a passionate hookup when the victim — whose identity is being withheld by Radar — woke up “feeling very sick” with a “fever of 100 degrees, chills, headache, and aches and pains.” She “also developed lesions and blisters in her vagina,” and was so terrified she sought treatment at urgent care, where a doctor promptly diagnosed her with herpes. According to the document, the “Yeah!” singer — going by the pseudonym “Papa Bear” in messages — posted a check covering her medical bills totaling $2,754.40.

Monica Lewinsky Talks About Male Vulnerability In New Essay

As y’all know, Monica Lewinsky is probably the most famous “home wrecker” of all time, and now she’s commenting on Jay Z’s choice to come clean about his own cheating endeavors on his album. She wrote an essay for Vanity Fair entitled “Jay-Z, Prince Harry, Brad Pitt, and the New Frontiers of Male Vulnerability” discussing the  respective masculine stereotypes they are battling.

In the essay, Monica said about Hov, “It is a refreshing and bracing antidote to see male icons convey vulnerability in an age when Washington’s new power elite and our coarsening culture are busy projecting an outmoded caricature of manhood, 24/7” and “it’s heartening to see a crack in the implicit contract among men, their emotions, and society at large.”

She also discusses Piers Morgan’s ridicule of Brad Pitt, encouraging more people to wear it on their sleeves as he did. The essay centers around her praising men for showing sides that the public normally aren’t privy to, and encourages more men to be so open.

Dave Chappelle’s August Radio City Shows Have Incredible Guests

Radio City Music Hall is no stranger to Dave Chappelle. He’s had his share of legendary shows at the famous New York venue, and now he’s adding to his legacy there. Dave announced a while back that he was doing another residency at Radio City, and everyone expected guests like his shows a couple years back. This year, he upped the anti and is going to be in New York for 14 shows with some pretty amazing guests.

Guests for the shows are as follows:

The Roots, Lil Wayne, Ice Cube, Common, Vince Staples, Big Boi, Chris Rock, Erykah Badu, Chance The Rapper, Trevor Noah, Childish Gambino, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Yasiin Bey, Talib Kweli, Ali Wong, and John Mayer. Hair Care Party Celebrates Natural Tresses

Brooklyn’s Prospect Park turned into an oasis of natural and curly hair as part of the annual Curl Fest, sponsored in part by ORS Hair Care.

Attendees at the free event were treated to free giveaways, live demos, vendors and gift bags as part of the day long hair party July 15.

The weekend kicked off with a private dinner at Walt Clyde’s Wine & Dine in Manhattan, which brought out the likes of “Notorious” actress Antonique Smith and Essence Magazine relationships editor Charreah Jackson.

Coffee Company Recalls Product Over Viagra-Like Ingredient

Do you like yours hot and black, or do you like lil’ milk and white whipped cream?

In either case, you won’t have anything but a bulge in your pants if you drink Bestherbs Coffee.

According to KSDK, the purveyor of pole-stiffening drink has done a massive recall of it’s product because it was discovered that one of the ingredients in the blend is very similar to Viagra and other “male-enhancement drugs”.

That wasn’t an accident. Bestherbs Coffee is marketed as a thwarter of flaccidity, however the FDA is concerned that the combination of “viagra” and other prescription drugs could be very dangerous to those with high cholesterol etc.

There are probably a lot of husbands just now realizing why their wife always has a fresh-brewed cup waiting for them when they wake up.

After Coco Austin debuted a new look and got dragged, her dedicated hubby is jumping to her defense. Earlier this week the “model” decided to give fans a glimpse at her hairstyle “Da Coco Swoop” which are actually just side swept box braids.

“My new braids! I call um Da Coco Swoop.. I wanted a little change up for the Summer,” she captioned a photo of the “new” style.

She also made sure to add that she names ALL her hairstyles, not just her braids.

“Oh and by the way.. I name all the braid styles I do even hair styles with no braids .. Its a cute thing I do.. I have many weird Coco-isms.”

 

Fans then obliterated Coco for cultural appropriating and for calling the popular black hairstyle her new “swoop” look.
