Johnnie Winston Suing Kandi Burruss For $168K
One of Kandi’s ex-employees who went to Phaedra for legal advice is indeed moving forward with his lawsuit. As we exclusively reported, the reality star’s former manager, event planner and production coordinator, Johnnie Winston III, sued her and her Kandi Koated Entertainment amid claims he’s owed a massive amount of money.
In court docs, Johnnie alleged that Kandi failed to pay the required minimum wage as well as overtime pay for his time working in the studio, planning special events and running errands. He’s now seeking overtime wages along with liquidated damages equal to the amount owed in benefits.

On Sunday’s RHOA Reunion finale, viewers will see Kandi address the suit and call out Phaedra for being vindictive by agreeing to meet with Johnnie on camera.
“I just felt like she was definitely purposefully trying to get me back in a way that it was going to hit my pocket,” said Kandi. “I feel like she was trying to be vindictive.
According to the southern belle, however, she did nothing wrong.
“He came to me, we weren’t friends,” said Phaedra. “I referred him to an attorney and I accompanied him to an attorney’s office.”
Kandi also confirmed that Johnnie’s STILL pursuing legal action against her to the tune of a WHOPPING $168,000. Thanks a lot Phaedra!
“$168,000—a ridiculous amount,” said Kandi when Andy asked how much he was suing for. “You know good and well I don’t owe him.”
She also called out Phaedra for claiming that she only paid Johnnie a meager $2.30 for his work.
“$2.30, how did you come up with that?” asked Kandi.
“He gave me all these hours and I divided it, it’s simple mathematics,” said Phaedra.

Among the revelers were “America’s Next Top Model” alum and Miss Trinidad and Tobago Renee Bhagwandeen, along with fellow model Giannina Oteto, who is fronting the cover of Childish Gambino’s new album.
Dressed in white string bikinis and blue and white feather headdresses, models “jumped up” along the parade route with the “Island Revelers” group, headed by Dylan Paul.
Also on hand was the Carnival King, Kenyo Baly, the youngest person to win the "Groovy Soca Monarch" title.
The carnival runs from March 18th to May 3rd, and included events like Jouvert, a reggae concert and a "Carnival Queen" pageant. But the event’s climax was a two-day fete known as the Grand Carnival Parade, where hundreds of costumed women shimmied and sashayed down the parade route.
St. Maarten is an island in the northern Caribbean home to about 90,000 people, with one side part of the Dutch Antilles and the other side belonging to the French.
