Racist Babies?! Researchers Discover Racial Biases In Children As Young As 6 Months Old
Study Finds Racial Biases In 6-Month-Old Babies
It’s widely accepted that racism and bigotry are generationally taught prejudices…but a new study is discovering that some people develop racial biases on their own shortly after arriving on Earth.
Daily Mail reports that researchers at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at University of Toronto have found through a worldwide study that infants as young as 6-9 months old demonstrate racial biases in favor of the race they were born into.
Now, that’s not to say that the infants’ first words are necessarily going to be “white power…” but it is a result of living in largely homogenous racial bubbles.
Findings suggest that due to overwhelming exposure solely to people of their own race early in life, babies naturally develop a bias toward people who look like them…and an innate discomfort with people who do not. They suggest that to quell this early-developing bias, parents should make sure to introduce their kids to a wide range of people from a variety of ethnicities before it becomes “a thing.”

NYC Stops Prosecuting 16 And 17 Year Olds As Adults
The city of New York is finally willing to “raise the age” of offenders charged as adults, allowing minors to be truly punished as minors for their alleged crimes, instead of like hard, adult criminals. Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the reform bill to change the age at which people are tried as adults to 17 this year and then to 18 next year as part of an effort to reform criminal justice.
The NYC justice department will now direct minors who commit misdemeanors to family court and creates a special youth court for felonies. The issue of minors being tried as adults raised national attention after Kaleif Browder’s story blew up in media. As a minor he was held as an adult in Riker’s Island, spending majority of his time in solitary confinement, with out ever being charged. The experience tormented the young man, and also denied him of his basic rights to see a judge in a timely manner.
RIP Kalief Browder, you’re still making a difference.

Idris Elba is all but confirmed to be the next(and first black) 007…but coming up in the UK, he was subjected to racial attacks on the regular.
Apparently, Idris and his family lived in an area with a lot of black families when he was younger…but as he told the Telegraph, once his family moved to a non-black neighborhood, he had an instant target on his back:

Gilbert Arenas is currently getting FRIED over a series of comments he made disrespecting dark skinned black women. Gilbert a.k.a. "@No.Chill.Gil was creeping on the IG page of Pan Africanist Rashidi Kweli a.k.a. @ProBlkThought who posted a message to dark skinned black girls."Your African features are all you need for attractiveness," read a post on Kweli's page.
