Last night, REVOLT, the #1 name in music, returned to the heart of Austin, TX for an all day, jam-packed live music experience – #REVOLTHOUSE at the Vulcan Gas Company. One of the most highly anticipated events of the weekend, REVOLT HOUSE celebrated the best in music, featuring a one-night-only SWISHAHOUSE reunion with members Paul Wall, Slim Thug, and Mike Jones.

The day was kicked off with an incredible performance by #BeHeard REVOLT Music Conference winner, Derek Farill.

Neo-soul darling Ari Lennox kept the good vibes going with a performance of her single, “Backseat”. Young M.A. brought the house down with a hype performance of “Hot Sauce” and “OOOUUU”.

R&B artist Ro James’ performance of “Permission” was a standout. Performances by Private Club Records (MadeinTYO, 24HRS, and Salma Slims), Pell, Little Simz, Nick Grant and PNB Rock also lit up the party. And new R&B/soul sensation Khalid drove the crowd wild with a performance of his smash-hits, “Location” and “American Teen”.

The SwishaHouse reunion featuring Paul Wall, Slim Thug, Mike Jones, DJ Michael “5000” Watts, and surprise guest Lil Flip closed the night. The group performed their chart-topping hits “Still Tippin,” “Like A Pimp,” “Back Then,” and “Sittin’ Sidewayz,” and more to a packed house.

Tennessee Police Shoot Black Man Dead On Facebook Live

A Crockett County sheriffs killed an unarmed Black man yesterday after they say he attempted to hit officers with his SUV “at least twice” according to NBCNews.

36-year-old Rodney James Hess had parked his vehicle on the side of the road and was said to be “acting erratically” while streaming the encounter on Facebook Live.

When officers arrived to the scene, Hess did not exit his vehicle, but instead asked that the “higher commands come out” to speak to him.

At that point, without any apparent provocation, shots were fired through Hess’ windshield and the following video depicts those final tense moments of his life.

We should warn all of you that while this video is not graphic, it IS very disturbing.

After being shot and crashing his truck, Rodney was airlifted to a hospital where he died.

His fiancee, Johnisha Provost, told CommercialAppeal this about Rodney’s mental health:

Provost said Hess suffered from bipolar disorder and she could tell from looking at the videos that he was disoriented and lost.

“He couldn’t get his mind together. That’s why he asked for a higher command,” she said. “I always told him, ‘Babe, if you are ever in a situation where you need help, ask the person in charge for the higher command to help you,’ and that’s what he kept saying.”

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says this about the disconcerting clip:

“Though we are aware such a video exists, we cannot confirm its authenticity. As with anything that might potentially be evidence, we will examine it to determine if it has probative benefit,” Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Public Information Officer Josh DeVine said.

SMH. By all accounts of this story, there has been no gun or weapon of any kind recovered from the scene.

Wage Garnishment Complaints Filed Against Da Brat

Da Brat just got hit with a wage garnish complaint from the ex-cheerleader she hit with a liquor bottle over the head years ago. The incident resulted in the rapper serving three years in prison and order to pay $6.4 Million to the victim.  In 2007, Da Brat hit Shayla Stevens in the face with a bottle in a night club, she claimed it caused her permanent facial scarring, mental pain and neurological damage.

Stevens says in her complaint that multi-million dollar settlement has still gone unpaid. The ex-Cheerleader hit Da Brat with multiple garnishment complaints. This is the first step in collecting what she’s owed after the incident. Stevens aims to get money from Da Brat’s Sony music label from royalties and from her Radio One gig with Ricky Smiley.

Man Gunned Down At Orly Airport In Paris After Attempting To Take Solider’s Gun

More terror in France.

This time CNN is reporting that security soldiers had to gun down a man who was attempting to steal a female soldiers weapon in what is being described as a “very violent attack”.

About 90 minutes prior to being killed at Orly Airport, the man had shot a police officer with a steel pellet gun and carjacked a woman in a small French suburb.

The man was a known by local authorities as well as French intelligence as an armed robber and drug trafficker.

Once he arrived at the airport, the man tackled a female soldier and tried to take her weapon from her, he was subsequently killed by fellow security officers.

The soldier was threatened by the man but “struggled and managed to keep her weapon, fighting against her attacker on the ground,” a statement posted to Facebook by the French military read.

When she managed to release herself momentarily from the attacker’s hold, her two colleagues, one of them a reservist, opened fire and killed the man, the statement said.

This was the fourth attack against security forces deployed as part of France’s Operation Sentinel, Le Drian said. The national security operation was launched following the Paris terror attacks in January 2015; France has been under a state of emergency since November that year.

We’re glad that no one was hurt, sounds like this guy wanted to do major damage.

Parents Scream Bigoted Remarks To Winning Robotics Team

Some salty-azz parents in Indiana decided to be trifling after losing to five Black and Latinx 9-and 10-year-olds in a citywide robotics championship in Indianapolis. The parents and their rotten children screamed “Go back to Mexico” at the winning robotics squad according to witnesses.

“They were pointing at us and saying that ‘Oh my God, they are champions of the city all because they are Mexican. They are Mexican, and they are ruining our country,’ ” said Diocelina Herrera, the mother of one of the children. The teacher who lead the team says the kids are written off because of their race when competing. “For the most part, the robotics world is kind of a white world,” said Lisa Hopper, the team’s coach and a Pleasant Run second-grade teacher. “They’re just not used to seeing a team like our kids. And they see us and they think we’re not going to be competition. Then we’re in first place the whole day, and they can’t take it,” she said.

The kids seemed pretty stealthy after being racially targeted. The team’s leader, who is 10 said they couldn’t stop his shine! “They yelled out rude comments, and I think that they can talk all they want because at the end we’re still going to Worlds.” He added “It’s not going to affect us at all. I’m not surprised because I’m used to this kind of behavior.”

Sharita Taylor Competing In Special Olympics Figure Skating

A Cleveland figure skater’s journey to the Special Olympics is going viral. Sharita Taylor is an Autistic teen whose talent on the ice earned her a bid to the Special Olympics Winter World Games in Austria.

The games kicked off yesterday and Sharita’s set to compete in the level five singles and level two ice dancing. She also has a twin sister, Shaye, and they’ve been competing in figure skating since they were eight.

Sharita is the only athlete from Ohio representing Team USA in the 2017 World Games.

She and her sister recently chatted with GMA’s Robin Roberts about her strive for Olympic Gold…

Fox Hosts Want Bow Wow And Snoop Dogg Punished Over Trump Attacks

Talk about going too far. On a recent episode of Fox News’ “The Five” one of the hosts Greg Gutfield said he thought Bow Wow should be jailed for threatening to pimp out First Lady Melania Trump, meanwhile he called him all kinds of insults including “Knee Pad Shad”. Co-host Kimberly Guilfoyle was even more harsh when asked how she felt Snoop and Bow Wow should be punished by Secret Service she said “Kill them,” two times before adding:

“I think it would be fantastic if they got a visit from the Federal Marshals and then let’s see how tough and gangster they are now.”

We hate that Shad even opened his mouth — or Twitter rather because now Snoop is getting lumped in with him.
