Many criticized their relationship at first because Tristan’s ex was pregnant at the time it kicked off. Fans Think Porsha Williams Admitted To Kandi Burruss Lie On RHOA

Porsha Williams is feeling the wrath of angry RHOA fans after Sunday’s shocking episode.

After Porsha previously got eviscerated by Kandi and threatened with a lawsuit over those sex dungeon drugging allegations…

Phaedra invited the RHOA cast to have a “Restoration Service” so they could hash out their issues.

During the sit-down, Porsha admitted that the reason why she blasted Kandi and her husband Todd (who she said was cheating under the alias Marvin) was because Kandi told Sheree that she slept with her baby daddy Block.

Block is, of course, the father of Kandi’s daughter Riley.
“When you take low blows and say something about me, I’m going to say something about you,” said Porsha during the “restoration.”

Now while Porsha didn’t flat-out say that she lied, it does sound a LOT like she admitted to making the sex-dungeon, drugging, lesbian rumors completely up—and fans took notice.

Michelle Obama Wrote A College Letter Of Recommendation For Yara Shahidi

As if we couldn’t love Michelle Obama or Yara Shahidi enough, we heard this news.

During a recent interview with W Magazine, the 17-year-old Black-ish actress shared that while acting is her first love, she plans to attend college. As a high school senior, she’s applied to four colleges including Harvard and got the letter of recommendation of her dreams.

So, if you see where we’re going with this, the former First Lady penned her letter of recommendation and gave her a go get ’em, tiger” back-rub before Shahidi took her AP exams. Goals, right?

“She is very amazing and such a supporter, which is something very surreal to say,” Shahidi said. Similar to Malia Obama, Yara plans on taking a gap years as well before beginning her college career.

Watch Snoop Dogg Clown And Bang On Trump In Political Clip “Lavender”

In his latest video, Snoop Dogg puts a gun to a Donald Trump caricature’s head and lets it go “bang.”Snoop surprised his fans by dropping a video for a track called “Lavender” when he flows over the instrumental for Kaytranada and BADBADNOTGOOD‘s track of the same name.
With the video, Snoop paints a world full of clowns with a character named “Donald Klump” being the head clown in charge. The highlight comes when Snoop comes this close to shooting “Klump” in the head. We’ll let you see what happens for yourself. But judging from the scene, it looks like Snoop was avoiding being put on any terrorist watch lists.
The video isn’t what you would expect from Snoop, who isn’t necessarily known for his political views. Sure, he threatened to roast any Black performers who performed for Donald Trump’s inauguration, but that doesn’t really count.
As far as his choice to record a song and video like this, he tells Billboard, ”I feel like it’s a lot of people making cool records, having fun, partying, but nobody’s dealing with the real issue with this f**king clown as president, and the sh*t that we dealing with out here, so I wanted to take time out to push pause on a party record and make one of these records for the time being.”
He added, “When I be putting sh*t out, I don’t ever expect or look for a reaction. I just put it out because I feel like it’s something that’s missing. Any time I drop something, I’m trying to fill in a void. When I watch it against other music videos, this one has a message and a story. It looks like a film. I’m just proud of the entire piece altogether.”

Slavery Auction Posters Considered Inappropriate For 5th Grade?

One parent shared his outrage on Facebook after discovering elementary children were a part of a black history assignment still plastered on the wall for display. The assignment involved a darker part of our history– slave auctions. Jamil Kerriem pleaded with Facebook friends to contact the school over the pictorials so they would never be a part of the curriculum again. Kerriem explains to friends that his outrage stems from the pictorials “lacking context” and that the lesson could be learned with out such harsh imagery. Parents in comments seem torn on the issue. Is being kind about the dark part of history actually progressive?

Those that disagree with the parent make valid points. The posters have been removed from the school walls according to The Grio. Do you think it’s fair or foul to make the school pull the posters?

Amirah Vann And Jessica De Gouw Talk “Underground” Season 2

Two of “Underground’s” female leads are dishing on the pulse-pounding new season.

SPOILERS AHEAD!

As previously reported, Ernestine (Amirah Vann) was seen in episode 1 depressed and drained at a South Carolina plantation. Now addicted to huffing, the former informal first-lady of the Macon plantation is haunted by the ghost of Pearly Mae and reeling after losing her three children; Sam who was hung, her youngest James who’s out in the fields, and Rosalee who’s freeing slaves with Harriet Tubman.

To cope, she and her new abusive boyfriend Hicks use laudanum, or “tincture of opium” to get by.

As for Elizabeth Hawkes who’s expertly played by Jessica De Gouw, she’s a full-blown abolitionist and working by her husband abolitionist/lawyer John Hawkes’ side. Elizabeth is so invested into helping slaves that she’s got a new gang of girlfriends; the secret “sewing circle.”

The circle takes in Elizabeth and teaches her how to shoot and how to use protesting to protect the rights of slaves. It’s unclear if Elizabeth will continue with her “sewing” however after her husband’s gunned down in front of her on the courthouse steps.

BOSSIP recently chatted with Amirah Vann and Jessica De Gouw about their character’s journeys this season and Amirah spoke on Ernestine’s depression and use of drugs which are a rarely discussed part of slavery.

“I was really excited,” said Amirah about the script including Ernestine’s coping mechanism. “I feel like that’s what a lot of people do. I thin the writing once again is touching on something that’s really true to life. I know that the tweets are gonna be there, I welcome them. I’ve been there and on that journey where you need to make better choices. It’s a huge tragedy—they hung her son. Sometimes things like that are crippling so to not stay at rock bottom […] I hope that that’s what people can get from this.”

Jessica told BOSSIP about Elizabeth’s development as an abolitionist and confirmed whether or not her informal adoption of Boo was a turning point for John Hawkes’ wife.

“The stuff with Boo I think really gave it that heart, that undeniable connection,” said Jessica. ” I think the first season she knew by the end of it, they were willing to risk everything to commit to this life. The second season is about Elizabeth taking it to the next level.”

Texas State Rep Proposed Satirical Bill Fining Men For Self Pleasure

In an effort to get men to understand how insane it is that the government wants to legislate women’s bodies with anti-abortion laws, Texas state Rep. Jessica Farrar is proposing a bill that will make it crystal clear.

According to the WashingtonPost, Farrar has introduced Texas House Bill 4260 which would require penis owners to wait 24 hours prior to having a vasectomy, colonoscopy or Viagra prescription.

That’s cool, but here’s the kicker. The bill also legislates men’s…self-pleasure practices, and there is a stiff penal-ty to pay if they are caught with their hand in their pants:

Finally, Farrar’s bill would ban “unregulated masturbatory emissions.”

“Emissions outside of a woman’s vagina, or created outside of a health or medical facility, will be charged a $100 civil penalty for each emission, and will be considered an act against an unborn child,” the four-page bill reads. Furthermore, emissions created in medical facilities “will be stored for the purposes of conception for a current or future wife.”

In a statement to the HoustonChronicle, Farrar said:

“A lot of people find the bill funny. What’s not funny are the obstacles that Texas women face every day, that were placed there by legislatures making it very difficult for them to access health care.”

Soooo this is exactly what we meant when we said that Porsha Williams wants us to think she’s unbothered over the whole lying her azz off about Kandi and Todd having plans on drugging her for sex. Sunday, while many homes were tuned in as Porsha was “exposed,” Williams was posting up bikini clad photos on her Instagram account and picking clever captions.

Apparently, she wasn’t THAT “unbothered” though because Porsha ultimately deleted this photo but left another the one below standing. Maybe because she worked so hard on the caption?

As you can see from this comment — the distraction tactics only went so far.

Do you think Porsha has lost all credibility? Or does it even matter? Seems like some folks are so taken with her bikini-ready body and hair extensions that it doesn’t even matter that she lied.

Asian Beauty Supply Store Owner Chokes Out Black Woman And People Are Furious

Protesters are furious after a cellphone video showed an Asian beauty supply store owner kicking and then choking out a black women after a verbal dispute. The woman denied stealing from the store and he took it to extreme measures, physically striking the woman. After the woman fell to her knees in the video he jumped on top of her and began to use his hands to grab her throat.

Customers and people in the area very disturbed over the incident. The owner says it wasn’t racially charged, he was just upset she “stole eyelashes”. He said he plans on apologizing to her personally. The woman didn’t stick around after the incident to press charges, but it doesn’t stop people of the area from spreading awareness on this incident. Suspect Charged With Second-Degree Murder In Connection To Johnson Brother Shootings

Toya Wright and her family are no doubt relieved after a person connected to the deaths of their family members has been charged. As previously reported Toya’s two brothers Rudy and Josh were gunned down in a car in New Orleans in July 2016.

Now police have arrested a suspect, 31-year-old Antoine Edwards according to NOLA.com.

Edwards a.k.a. Toine or Tweezy was booked March 9 with two counts of second-degree murder in connection with the deaths.

NOLA.com also reports that multiple tipsters told investigators that”Tweezy” was responsible for the killings and admitted to the shootings at least once.

The suspect’s bond was set at $500,000 and he is due back in court May 7.

Edwards is believed to have been in the the area during the time the incident occurred and shot the victims multiple times himself, according to an Affidavit obtained by NOLA.com.

It’s unclear if police suspect that more arrests should be made.

We’re glad to hear that Toya and her family are closer to getting justice for Rudy and Josh.

Nick Cannon And Mariah Carey Bicker Back-And-Forth At Kids’ Choice Awards

The other day we reported on the “family fun day” that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon had with “dem babies” and the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

Welp, according to OKMagazine, looks can be very deceiving…

Despite the smiles and laughs that the co-parents flashed on the red carpet, there was an ugly dispute taking place underneath.

But, a source told OK! exclusively that Mariah and Nick, who put on a united front around the cameras, were not as happy once inside. The two “apparently had an argument of some sort while they were sitting in their seats.”

And while it’s unclear what they disagreed on, it didn’t seem to blow over, as “she got up and left and Nick went over to her manager and grabbed his kids,” continued the insider. And Mariah didn’t return to her seat!

What the hell could Nick and Mariah POSSIBLY be beefing about, in front of their children, at the Kids’ Choice Awards???

The obvious answer might seem to be the fugly orange outfits that Nick had Morrocan were rockin’, but chances are it was something much deeper.

Cultural Critics Dissect The Racial Implications Of Every Single King Kong Film

In case you weren’t already aware, there’s a new King Kong movie out called ‘Kong: Skull Island’ which stars Samuel L. Jackson.

With the arrival of this latest version, our friends over at NPR took the time to discuss the racist undertones of the previous Kong films — and whether it’s at all possible for this film to avoid those issues.

The first King Kong movie, which was released in 1933, starred Fay Wray as the blonde-haired white woman among explorers in search of Skull Island — geographically somewhere near Indonesia, but whose “natives” are normally depicted as dark-skinned savages who kidnap the blonde to sacrifice her to Kong.

In later iterations of the film, the woman is played by Jessica Lange (1976), Naomi Watts (2005) and this time Brie Larson.

Regardless of the choice in heroine, the figure of Kong pretty much HAS to be taken as a metaphor for black masculinity and it’s easy also to draw the line from that metaphor to one of the black male threat to white women.

Members of the panel point out that this time around Samuel L Jackson — who wants revenge against Kong– is there to help prevent that trope of white men coming to the rescue of a white woman in danger from a big black ape.
