Pilots Dawn Cook and Stephanie Johnson Become Fist Black Female Cockpit Crew

On today’s International Women’s day, we’d like to take a moment to celebrate two pioneering black female pilots.

Pilots Dawn Cook and Stephanie Johnson made history for Delta Air Lines last weekend when they became the first two female black pilots to fly together.

Capt. Stephanie Johnson (L) and First Officer Dawn Cook (R) flew an Airbus from Detroit to Las Vegas and took pictures after landing safely to mark the historic occasion.

According to USA Today, Delta confirmed the landmark flight on its website this week.

Johnson has been a commercial airline pilot for 20 years and learned to fly at Kent State University. She credits the Tuskegee Airmen for inspiring her to follow her dream of becoming a pilot.

She also previously made history by becoming the airline’s first African-American female captain and Northwest Airlines’ first ever female African-American pilot.

Black girl magic, indeed!

4 Dead after Freight Train Crashes Into Senior Citizen Charter Bus

A freight train smashed a charter bus that stalled on railroad tracks at a crossing in Biloxi, Mississippi yesterday, causing bodies to “come flying out” of the bus according to witnesses. The bus was full of seniors taking a 7-day trip arrange by a senior center in Texas according to The Washington Post. Mark Robinson, an area resident and witness to the gruesome event says he saw people scrambling to get off the bus as the train approached. There were 48 passengers on the bus and 4 fatalities and dozens of injuries after the collision.

Another witness, David McDonald, told NBC News “Bodies come flying out of the bus, they went over the top of the bus, under the bus, under the train … I mean, it’s just horrific”. Yikes! “I just thank the Lord that as many people that was on that bus, that the amount of survivors that there are.”

This sounds like a nightmare! God rest the souls of those wiped out by that freight train.

TI and Tiny: Family Hustle Coming To And End After 6 Seasons On VH1

Real life is finally catching up with reality TV for The Harris’. Reps for the TI & Tiny’s reality show confirmed with Billboard that TI & Tiny: The Family Hustle is over and done with, almost. They promise one last season as we reported before, giving the two opportunity to air out any divorce drama they choose to show us.

But after that airs, the show is finished. Divorced papers were filed by Tiny back in December, 2016 but since then have been dropped.”VH1 is incredibly proud of this long running series and our partnership with Tip and Tameka,” Nina L. Diaz, EVP, head of unscripted, VH1 and MTV told People. 

Meanwhile, TI has been rumored to be enjoying the single life while Tameka “Tiny” Harris has been focusing on music, revealing a reunion with her former singing group Xscape.

Suicidal Man Wanted To Be Decapitated By Train In Brooklyn

This story is pretty sad and crazy. Apparently, a man in NYC committed suicide by subway decapitation this morning, laying his head on the tracks and waiting for the train to send him to his death.

Police found the headless body of Rubin Antonio Rodriguez at the Smith and Ninth street subway station in Carroll Gardens around 2:40 am Wednesday, according to NY Post reports.

He was only 20-years-old.

The train operator driving the subway that killed Rodriguez told police he attempted to stop once he saw the young man’s body, but was unable to prevent the collision in time. Rodriguez left a suicide note on his mobile phone, which he left behind on the subway platform before jumping onto the tracks.

Lil Wayne To Launch “Young Money Radio”

Podcasting is bringing in millions of dollars a year and now Weezy F Baby wants IN. We don’t blame hime.

Lil Wayne is set to hit the air pretty soon with “Young Money Radio” according to All Hip Hop, the mogul is adding disc jockey to his resume, at least for the day. Weezy is set to tackle the internet radio market during his headlining showcase at the Austin, Texas music festival. On March 16, Lil Wayne & Friends are scheduled to perform at Mass Appeal’s popular “Live At The BBQ” concert and the entire show is going to be streamed for the launched of Young Money Radio on Dj Skee’s Dash Radio.

The rapper is reported to being doing exclusive interviews for the launch of the station. Others on the bill include Dave East, Aboogie With The Hoodie and Dj Mustard. Hip Hop fans should be happy about this. Will you be listening??

Washington D.C. “Shots Fired” Screening Photos

A number of celebs were in Washington, D.C. this week for a star-studded screening of a dynamic new show.

On Tuesday, FOX continued its promotional tour for the new series “Shots Fired” with a screening attended by over 500 locals who flocked to the Newseum.

While there, attendees were joined by the show’s stars Sanaa Lathan…

Stephan James….

and Mack Wilds.

Richard Dreyfuss along with creator/executive producer Reggie Bythewood were also on hand.

Special guests included White House Correspondent for AURN (and Q&A moderator for the evening) April Ryan and our political analyst bae Angela Rye…

and retired NFL athlete Clinton Portis.

 

FOX 5 DC reporter Tisha Lewis welcomed the audience followed by remarks from Tony Dixon, president of the DC chapter of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE). After the screening, April Ryan brought the cast to the stage for a lively discussion on the origins of “Shots Fired,” what audiences will take away from it and the process of filming.

#ShotsFired is a 10-part event mystery that examines the dangerous aftermath of two racially charged shootings by law enforcement in a small southern town. With amazing music, and an all-star cast led by Sanaa Lathan, Stephan James, Mack Wilds and Helen Hunt, “Shots Fired” will entertain and challenge perspectives.
The series premieres March 22 at 8/7c on FOX, prior to the spring return of “Empire” at 9/8c.

Jennifer Garner Working On Marriage To Ben Affleck

Good news for Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck and their three kids. The Hollywood couple is giving their marriage another go, two years after she filed them papers on his cheating azz.

The couple had been separated for several years when Garner filed divorce papers last month, but now it looks like they are not splitting after all.

“Jen has called off the divorce,” a source close to Garner tells PEOPLE in the latest issue. “She really wants to work things out with Ben. They are giving things another try.”

But a source close to the couple says it was a decision they both made: “There is always a chance of reconciliation. They love each other. They also really, really love their kids, and those kids love their parents.”

The couple held a birthday party for their five-year-old son Samuel the day after the Oscars.

“The girls had wrapped presents for Sam, including superhero toys. They had a cake. Everyone seemed happy,” says a source.

It’s definitely a major reversal for Garner, who was telling friends just weeks ago that she wanted to move on.

“Jen was telling friends that she plans on filing for divorce,” the source close to her says in PEOPLE’s new issue. “She just wanted to move on and focus on the happy things in her life. She was exhausted from all the ups and downs.”

The couple also has two daughters, Violet, 11 and Seraphina, 8, and despite their troubled marriage they’ve still lived together through most of their difficult time, even taking family vacations.

“They want to keep the family together,” the source close to the couple says.

Says the Garner source: “Ben is making a big effort to take care of himself. They are not back together, but there seems to be hope. Jen is hoping they can stay married. Ben doesn’t want a divorce either.”

This sounds like a really difficult situation. Clearly, there are some major issues there if they keep coming this close to divorce. We just hope for the kids sake that the couple keep their relationship healthy at home.

Pregnant Woman Took Heroin Injection Just Prior To Going Into Labor

What in the entire f**k is going on here?!

A NYDailyNews report states that an expecting New Hampshire woman demanded that a friend inject her with heroin and meth just as she was going into labor.

Bye, Felicia Farruggia. The 29-year-old was arrested yesterday 6 months giving birth and the state has seized custody of her infant son. Her friend, Rhianna Frenette was also arrested for administering the drugs. Both face felony reckless conduct and Rhianna got hit with an additional misdemeanor charge.

According to the cops, Rhianna first injected Felicia with a dirty needle.

Firefighters and medical personnel arrived to take Felicia to the hospital, but she gave birth on the stretcher before she even got in the ambulance.

Lock up both of these hoes for a long time please.

Blac Chyna’s Neighbors Unhappy Rob Has Moved Back In

Here they go again! Word on the curb is that Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna have reconciled their relationship yet again — despite rumors that the last split was for good.

Rob moved back into Blac Chyna’s San Fernando Valley home late last week according to TMZ reports.

Unfortunately, not everyone is happy for them. Law enforcement sources say neighbors flagged down police officers in the area Tuesday to complain about unwelcome activity at Chyna and Rob’s crib, most notably reports that “thugs” and “riffraff” have been hopping the neighborhood wall to visit the couple, rather than go through the security gates. Apparently, neighbors are also annoyed that Rob parks on Chyna’s lawn because she has so many cars there is no space in the driveway. AND if that’s not bad enough, they were also hit with a litany of noise complaints, with other homeowners claiming the couple’s home is loud at all hours day and night.

Police weren’t very helpful, telling the nagging neighbors to take up their issues with the local HOA.

Shocking that these so-called affluent neighbors aren’t very welcoming or friendly to having Kardashians in the hood eh.

But hooray for Dream’s parents working things out riiiiiight?

J. Lo’s new man is A-Rod. They’ve been quietly dating for a couple months. Her thing w/ Drake ended after TMZ reported he hooked up with French booty model /porn star Rosee Divine in Amsterdam back in January. This was after Drake spent Christmas with J. Lo and her family! She promptly kicked him to the curb. [She and A-Rod] haven’t gone public yet, but I can confirm this is absolutely true.

He was with her in Vegas during this latest leg of her Planet Hollywood Vegas show. They were all coupled up behind the scenes, not public, but absolutely not hiding their relationship around close friends and family. It is definitely for real.

Nice. This seems like much more of a match. We always thought that BOTH J. Lo and Drizzy were just blowing off some sexual steam and soaking up attention from each other, rather than taking the situation seriously…

Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, And Mama Tina Celebrate Richard Lawson’s 70th

Mama Tina’s hubby Richard Lawson turned 70 on Tuesday night…and she made sure to make it special for him with a surprise birthday dinner featuring his close friends and family.

While Richard’s own daughter, actress Bianca Lawson, was unable to turn up for the party, Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and husband Tim Witherspoon, Holly Robinson Peete and husband Rodney Peete, were all in attendance for Richard’s big day.

Tina posted pics and vid on her Instagram from the surprise gathering. The group of 14 dined in a private room at The District by Hannah in LA, one of Tina’s favorite food spots.

Beyoncé and the twins were sitting pretty at dinner, and Bey dressed up her baby bump in a black mini dress, black boots and a black leather jacket.

Actors Glynn Turman, Lawrence Hilton Jacobs, and of course, cousin Angie Beyince were also spotted on the scene. And it looks like Richard had a great time bringing in his 7th decade.

8 Dancers Held Hostage By Atlanta Man To Be Sold Into Sex Slavery

When they talk about “saving hoes” from the strip club, this is NOT what they are talking about.

According to WSBTV and NYDailyNews, a man in the Sandy Springs suburb of Atlanta was arrested for holding 8 dancers hostage inside his $1 million home. He planned to sell them off in a sex trafficking scheme.

Just before 8 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a 911 call from a woman who asked for help leaving a residence in the 100 block of Strauss Lane, Sandy Springs police Sgt. Sam Worsham said Wednesday.

“I’m in a very bad situation, and I need to get help,” the caller said.

When they got to the 6,806-square foot home, officers found eight women and helped them leave the home, Worsham said.

Sandy Springs Police Sgt. Sam Worsham says:

“What we believe is he was luring these women to this house with promises of either modeling careers or financial assistance. We’re not 100 percent sure on that. The investigation is continuing,”

People really ain’t s#!t. Let this be a warning for all the strippers in Atlanta, and everywhere for that matter, don’t do house calls unless you know exactly who you’re dealing with.
