E! dropped a preview for their upcoming season of “Hollywood Medium“. The Show is hosted by Tyler Henry who acts as a medium between the living and the deceased. Tyler often acts sheltered in interviews, claiming he doesn’t know anything about the celebrities he’s sitting with before hand, which brings us back to this season’s preview– Bobby Brown breaks down in tears at the suggestion that Tyler sees a “mother connecting hands with a child”.

Everyone pretty much knows that Bobby Brown lost both his ex-wife Whitney Houston and daughter, Bobbi Kristina. Lil Kim also makes an appearance this season with a garment that belonged to the late rapper Biggie Smalls, but do you think Tyler is full of it?? We’re scratching our heads on this one, we might have to watch to make sure. See for yourself below.

Georgia Great-Grandma Beaten In Walmart

The brutal beating of a Georgia woman is making national headlines. A great-grandma, who asked not to be named, recently told WSB-TV that she was attacked at a local Walmart in the bread aisle.

“I thought I was safe. I’m in Walmart,” the woman, who asked not to be named, told Channel 2’s Matt Johnson.

According to the woman, she was struck in the face and in the back of the head while riding a mobility scooter by a woman who cussed at her and crossed in front of her.

“As I went around her, I said, ‘You’re the b****,’” the woman said.

The lady also noted that she screamed for “help” but initially no one came to help her. She then noted that the woman left her cell phone in her cart and it’s been used to track her down.

The attacker could face simple assault and battery charges.

North Carolina Son Arrested For Murder-Decapitation Of His Mother

18-year-old Oliver Funes dailed 911 and waited for police officers to arrive at his home. When they got there, Oliver met them holding his mother’s head in one hand and a bloody butcher’s knife in the other according to ABC7Chicago.

Inside the house, authorities found the headless body of the boy’s mother, 36-year-old Yesenia Funez Beatriz Machado, as well as Oliver’s two young sisters.

One of Oliver’s neighbors in the small North Carolina town described the scene as his father arrived on the scene:

“It’s uh, hard to comprehend,” said Eddie Garner, a neighbor who lives a few doors down from where crime investigators were documenting every inch of the unthinkable.

Garner was there as the victim’s husband arrived home Monday afternoon to the devastating scene.

“I don’t know what they told him,” Garner said. “I mean, we just heard him crying and you could hear him all over the place. I mean he definitely never expected something like this to happen.”

This kid is one sick bastard. He likely needs psychological help, but he also needs a cold prison cell.

Ben Carson Responds To Immigrant Comment Critics

Dr. Ben Carson is choosing to remain purposely obtuse on the issue of whether he was right by referring to slaves as “immigrants” who had “dreams”. Many were offended by his revelation, causing him to get flamed on the internet, so instead of apologizing, Dr. Carson is now tweeting to deepen the wounds of those he’s offended.

He defends his comments by stating African Americans were “involuntary slaves”, even sharing with us the dictionary definition of the word (we assume he’s implying we don’t know the meaning of immigrant). He finishes up with a Facebook post that dissects the differences between a slave and immigrant, confusing the hell out of us. Just peep it below.

George Michaels’ Cause Of Death Confirmed

Months after his passing, the cause of death for George Michaels has been released. As previously reported George Michaels passed away on Christmas day at the age of 53. The coroner who did the autopsy on the Wham! frontman has confirmed that the singer suffered a dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver, according to PEOPLE Magazine.

In other words, he passed away from natural causes.

A statement from the coroner reads,

“Enquires into the death of George Michael have been concluded and the final post mortem report received. As there is a confirmed natural cause of death, being Dilated Cardiomyopathy with Myocarditis and Fatty Liver, the investigation is being discontinued and there is no need for an inquest or any further enquiries. No further updates will be provided and the family requests the media and public respect their privacy.”

Dilated cardiomyopathy can cause heart failure and myocarditis is an inflammation of the heart.

People were devasted when they heard that Michaels was the latest celebrity we lost in 2016. The singer’s family is now finally preparing to lay him to rest.

So when their South Pasadena elementary school announced plans to celebrate Dr. Seuss week last week, 11-year-old Rockett and 10-year-old Zoe decided to make fliers to help teach the other students what they learned from their parents — Dr. Seuss was responsible for some very serious propaganda in a number of his cartoons which promoted racism and xenophobia especially toward Japanese and African people. This was years before becoming famous for his children’s books, but Seuss, born Theodor Seuss Geisel, made numerous political cartoons during World War II which featured racist portrayals of Japanese Americans.

In February, we told you that the newest “Bachelorette,” make that “Black Bachelorette,” had been picked earlier than usual. She is 31-year-old Rachel Lindsay, a civil defense litigation attorney from Texas. Lindsay was just eliminated on last night’s episode of The Bachelor to move on to bigger and better things.
“To be the first African-American woman is a beautiful thing,” Lindsay said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter about what’s next for her. “I’m honored and humbled to be the one chosen. Because that’s how I feel: like I was chosen to be in this role.”

When speaking to PEOPLE last month about her excitement, Lindsay said that she was happy to “represent myself as a Black woman in front of America.” As a Black woman going on a dating show to find love, Lindsay told The Hollywood Reporter that she’s received a lot of questions from fellow Black people who wonder if she will pick a Black man (which was debated in our comment section when we announced Lindsay as the next “Bachelorette”).

The Lesson Even Beyoncé Could’ve Learned From Emma Watson’s Feminism

When I first saw Emma Watson’s titties on the pages of Vanity Fair I didn’t think anything of it. She’s a woman. She has breasts and that day she felt like showing them. No big deal. But then came all this conversation about Emma being a feminist and whether or not feminists should exploit their bodies in this way. I rolled my eyes. It’s an old and tired argument. If the decision to show a bit of side boob, was indeed her own, then what was the problem?

During this time of apathy, I stumbled across a tweet from For Harriet founder Kimberly Foster.
I wondered what that meant for a second but still didn’t care to do the research. Then yesterday, I discovered that Emma was defending her comments and clarifying her statements made about Beyoncé. Ding! That’s the ticket. Not only was the story made more salacious and outrageous by the attack on one of my faves, the best entertainer of our generation. It also positioned White feminism against Black feminism or even more simply a White woman against a Black one. That’s when I started paying attention. First, I heard that Emma allegedly questioned Beyoncé’s feminism when she saw the visuals for the album that “stopped the world” Beyoncé dropped. But before that narrative could even percolate, Emma came through with the transcript to clear her name.

Robin Thicke And Paula Patton Cool Off Custody Battle

It looks like the dust has settled on the nasty custody battle between Robin Thicke and Paula Patton. Even though these two have been going head to head — even getting cops, courts, and child protective services involved in their dispute over little Julian…the divorced duo are on the edge of settling things once and for all.

Sources close to Robin and Paula tell TMZ that they are coming to some common ground on their custody agreement.

If you’ll recall, Paula got a restraining order against Robin, claiming that he had struck their son excessively and that the child was afraid to visit him. Robin fired back with police involvement of his own, and said that Paula was just bitter about not being invited to Alan Thicke’s’ funeral.

But they seem to have come to some agreement. They were scheduled to battle it out in court once again on Monday, but the case was taken off the calendar.

Safaree Samuels Talks Nicki Minaj Drama [Video]

Safaree says that with the amount of support he provided to Nicki’s music career over the years, it’s only right that she pay him off now that they’re no longer an item. In addition, he believes Meek Mill did some slick isht (that ultimately didn’t pay off) to get at Nicki after he trusted him enough to do business with her without him serving as a liaison.

He also admits that much like Remy…Nicki’s been trying to block his appearances and ability to tell his story as well. To top it all off, Safaree sent out this tweet about how disheartened he is by Nicki’s actions:

We’re noticing a pattern…seems like Nicki definitely tries to thwart and shut down anyone she sees as a threat to her image.

Remy Ma Says Nicki Stans Called Her P.O.

While Remy Ma holds the crown in the rap battle between her and no-response Nicki…she’s losing the popular vote among Nicki’s horde of adolescent pop fans.

Remy revealed that while the Head Barbie in Charge was off in Paris with her boob hanging out and sipping Champagne with supermodels…a legion of “lames” as she called them had pulled some pretty petty moves on behalf of their queen.

Remy took to Instagram live and let it be known that Nicki’s fans had looked up her P.O.’s information and placed a coupled of phone calls in an attempt to put the rapper back behind bars.

SMH! While that’s admittedly a little funny on some level conceptually…actually going out of your way to find the phone number and make the call is complete overkill. Where do the stans of the world find the time and energy to do the most?

Obamacare Repeal Bill May Never Make It To The White House Steps

According to a report at CNN, officials on both sides of Washington are already strongly against the GOP repeal to Obamacare revealed yesterday. The specificity of issues with the bill on both sides have not been made clear, but there’s already buzz in Capitol Hill that even factions within the Republican party say the bill wont make it to the White House steps.

Yesterday, we reported on the reveal of the appeal. After 8 years of criticizing Obamacare, the GOP’s answer was to defund Planned Parenthood, cap funding for Medicaid applicants and charge a 30% surcharge to those who are uninsured and seeking a new insurer. Also, older patients could be charged higher, at a 5-1 ratio, than younger patients for the same insurance.

A handful of Republican Senators have already voiced their concerns with the bill for its plan to inadequately cover Medicaid users. In a letter to the Majortiy leader McConnell, GOP Senators Rob Portman, Shelley Moore Capito, Cory Gardner and Lisa Murkowski, expressed their concerns in a letter. This inserts sums up their issues with it:

“We are concerned that any poorly implemented or poorly timed change in the current funding structure in Medicaid could result in a reduction in access to life-saving health care services,” they wrote. “The Medicaid population includes a wide range of beneficiaries, many of which cycle on and off Medicaid due to frequent changes in income, family situations, and living environments.”

This opposition is significant because with unanimous Democratic opposition and 4 Republican votes against the repeal, that would be enough to sink it!

No Charges For LA Cop Who Killed Unarmed Man In 2015

Officer Brian Van Gorden ‘unlawfully used deadly force’ when he shot and killed an unarmed suspect in Burbank back in 2015 according to a memo released by the L.A. County District Attorney yesterday, yet the department has decided to pursue no charge against the officer. Sergio Navas was shot by Van Gorden after a car chase that ended in Burbank back in 2015.

Since the shooting, Navas’ story has raised little attention according to the LA Times, but raised a lot of eyebrows within the Los Angeles Police Department. Last year they paid his family $2.5 Million over the incident.In the memo they described the incident as “tense, uncertain and rapidly evolving circumstances”, but also cited is that the officer had “other reasonable options” when confronted by Navas’ after the chase. No one in Navas’ family has commented yet on the DA’s decision.

Nicki Minaj Isn’t Planning To Release Return Diss To Remy Ma Any Time Soon

If you’ve been holding your breath for a Nicki Minaj response to Remy Ma, then either you’re dead as hell, or you need to take a second to breathe.

According to TMZ, Nicki Minaj has “no immediate plan” to respond to Remy’s soul-shattering diss song “shETHER”. A source close to Onika says that all of Remy’s alleged lies are being shot down by Trey Songz, Ebro and Lil Wayne so there is no need for her to reply.

Instead of writing bars, Nicki is carrying on with her life and posting Instagram pic after Instagram pic to prove how much she is unbothered by Reminisce’s raunchy rhetoric.

None of this is to say that Nicki will NEVER respond, but it doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen anytime soon because she feel like she’s winning without saying a word.

Sounds lame. Rappers should rap, but maybe Nicki just wants to be considered a pop star. *shrug*

Ann R. Tuennerman, founder of Tales of the Cocktail And Husband Paul In Blackface Incident

A New Orleans couple who founded a major cocktail conference has plunged themselves into a racial firestorm after the husband posted a picture of his wife clad in blackface and an afro.

In now deleted Facebook posts, Paul Tuennerman last week uploaded a video of his wife in blackface and an afro with the caption, “As he said ‘Throw a little Black Face on and you lose all your Media Skills.’ He did his best as the Interviewer.”

The Tuennerman’s founded Tales of the Cocktail, a mixology conference that draws some 15,000 to 20,000 bartenders and mixologists from around the world, and pulls in millions a year in sales.

Ann Tuennerman has since apologized, while her husband Paul resigned from Tales of the Cocktail last week, calling the blackface stunt “stupid,” and “was meant to be a husband’s innocent teasing of his camera-shy wife, not a belittlement of others.”

But Joseph Solis, a mixologist for 15 years who works with Hennessy and founded the Sol Hospitality Group, said the blackface incident shows that there is a need for diversity and inclusion initiatives within the mixology and bartending industry.

“I’ve been going there (Tales of the Cocktail) for years and I can’t count how many times I’ve been the only chocolate chip in the cookie,” Solis said. “I think it’s disgusting. I think it’s inappropriate and I think it’s inexcusable.”

The blackface incident has also caused an uproar among bartenders of color around the country, many of whom said that they’ve been made to feel less than in the traditionally white male-dominated industry.

Solis agreed: “Consider how much money people of color spend on alcohol,” he said. “This story needs to be told.”
