Milo Yiannopoulos Loses Book Deal For Endorsing Pedophiliac Relationships, Roxane Gay Says Her Protest Still Stands

A couple of weeks ago, we wrote about the very courageous stand author Roxane Gay took in refusing to let Simon and Schuster publish her book. Her decision was a direct result of the publishing house’s decision to offer Milo Yiannopoulos a book deal.

That book deal has since been rescinded. According to the Washington Post, Simon and Schuster announced their decision with little explanation.

“After careful consideration, Simon & Schuster and its Threshold Editions imprint have cancelled publication of ‘Dangerous’ by Milo Yiannopoulos.”

As for her protest against the company, Roxane Gay says it still stands.

Future Dropping Another New Album This Friday?

Future just dropped a new self-titled album last Friday (Feb. 17) that’s receiving plenty of praise, social media love and will be a chart topper this week. Now word is that Future Hendrix is dropping another new album this Friday, Feb. 24.

On the heels of his big self-titled release—headed for chart dominance this week—A1/Freebandz/Epic’s Future will be dropping another album on Friday, as artist and label vie for back-to-back #1s. Word has it the second set is more Rhythmic-leaning and radio-friendly.
The first of Future’s two new sets is on track to bow with 145-155k on our SPS chart, with 125-150 million streams. His DS2 bowed at #1 in 2015 with 153k SPS; he and Drake released a joint mixtape a few months later, and it too had a #1 debut, with 379k SPS.
Future hinted at releasing music at the rate his fans demanded it in his Beats 1 interview with Zane Lowe.

Milo Yiannopoulos Resigns

An azzhole alt-right defender and editor at Breitbart News is leaving his position. If you’ve been on social media within the last few days then you’re surely familiar with the name Milo Yiannopoulos. Well, Yiannopoulos announced today, February 21, that he’s leaving after some shameful pedophilia comments he made surfaced costing him a book deal and a speaking gig at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

A statement on his resignation reads:

“Breitbart News has stood by me when others caved. They have allowed me to carry conservative and libertarian ideas to communities that would otherwise never have heard them. They have been a significant factor in my success. I’m grateful for that freedom and for the friendships I forged there.”

“I would be wrong to allow my poor choice of words to detract from my colleagues’ important reporting, so today I am resigning from Breitbart, effective immediately. This decision is mine alone.”

The statement comes after a 2016 video surfaced of him giving a radio interview where he joked about being molested as a teen by a Catholic priest who developed his oral sex skills. He then went on to shamelessly defend pedophilia.

“No, no, no. You’re misunderstanding what pedophilia means,” said Yiannopoulos. “Pedophilia is not a sexual attraction to somebody 13 years old who is sexually mature. Pedophilia is attraction to children who have not reached puberty. The notion of consent is arbitrary and oppressive.”

Doctor Who Delivered Will Smith Pleads For Help Getting Out Of Prison

We get it. There is a lot going on here, but we’ll try to explain what exactly is happening as succinctly as possible.

On September 25, 1968, Will Smith was born and the doctor who delivered him is named Dr. Kermit Gosnell. Dr. Gosnell would go on to become the man anti-abortion advocates would call “America’s Most Prolific Serial Killer”.

The bad doctor was sentenced to life in prison after he was found guilty of stabbing living babies with scissors and fed their remains to crabs off the Jersey Shore. This according to DailyMail.

That brings us to today, where it has been revealed that Gosnell has reached out to Will Smith in hopes that that the baby boy he helped birth will assist in getting him out of prison.

Remember when Dutchess of Black Ink told our podcast that rumors that Ceaser got a side chick pregnant ultimately ended their relationship?

The tattoo shop owner recently chatted with VLAD TV to set the record straight and listed off reasons why the baby rumor couldn’t possibly be true.
According to him there’s no proof that he had a relationship with the woman.

“Where is the proof” said Cease. “Ain’t no text messages of us texting back and forth. There ain’t no pictures of us… Of course, if I got her pregnant, we would have to have some type of relationship. We had to be in some type of—something.”

Furthemore VH1 would have paid TOP DOLLAR to document his outside baby drama so the side chick having an abortion makes no sense.

“[You have] an abortion from a motherf**** that has been on TV for four seasons and in a relationship for the whole time. You know how much money VH1 would’ve paid for that damn kid?” said Cease.

Kawan “KP” Prather On DJ Duty For The Global Spin Awards

Last week The 2017 Global Spin Awards went down in New Orleans on Thursday. BOSSIP had the opportunity to catch up with Grammy winning songwriter/producer Kawan “KP” Prather before the show about serving as house dj for the Global Spin Awards, his new role as head of music at Pharrell Williams’ I Am OTHER collective and the truth about the voting members of the Grammy Awards.

For those who don’t already know, Prather got his start in the music industry as DJ for Parental Advisory, a Dungeon Family act once signed to LaFace records. In his years since, he’s gone on to write and produce for numerous acts and worked as an A&R at labels including Sony and Atlantic. Most recently Prather has been a highly visible DJ responsible for setting the mood for some of the hottest parties in Atlanta, Los Angeles and New York.

“I’m overly excited,” KP told BOSSIP about heading to New Orleans to serve as official DJ for the Global Spin Awards. “I’m anxious, actually kinda nervous, not in a scary kinda way — I guess anxious is the word. It’s deejaying for your heroes. It’s weird. I feel good about what I do but I haven’t done it in a space with these kinds of eyes and ears.”

Prather told BOSSIP the Global Spin Awards are important because good DJ’s don’t get their just due.

“It’s important we recognize great DJ’s,” KP told BOSSIP. “A lot of times the craft doesn’t get the credit it deserves because there are a lot of really bad DJ’s stinking up a room, in their headphones, in their own little world. You have to shed light on people who do it as a craft.”

Especially excited for the No Limit Reunion planned at the Awards, Prather said New Orleans was the perfect setting for this year’s ceremony.

“They make the most Lit music, from Bounce to Rap — everything about New Orleans is so festive that it inspires that energy,” Prather explained. “Even the hardest murdering songs feel fun. C-Murder “F Them Other N’s” doesnt ‘even feel harsh when it’s on. To be celebrating No Limit and DJ’s in New Orleans — it’s the perfect place.”

Besides his duties at the Global Spin Awards, Prather has been busy in his role as Head of Music at I Am OTHER — Pharrell Williams creative collective.

“I run the music portion of all things Pharrell, but he has so many portions to him,” Prather said, happily listing Williams’ many accomplishments. “His access is fashion, it’s movies, it’s now about to be TV. I feel honored to feel respected enough and that he feels comfortable enough to put that in my hands — based on how important he is to the creative world. It’s a real big deal to me.”

KP says the pair reached their working agreement in a moment when they both were wrestling with some career discontent.

“Ironically it came out of both of us being super frustrated,” Prather recalled. “There was a moment when the song “Happy” was supposed to go somewhere else and we both thought it was a good idea, but for one reason or another nobody else was on our side about it. It came down to one of those conversations of ‘Man, you should just do it.’ We have been working together since T.I. ‘I’m Serious.’ Pretty much every project I’ve done, he’s had the opportunity to work on it if he wanted to and he always showed up.”

“We’ve had a very trusting music relationship for so long that we were having this conversation where we both were in a place where, after you’ve accomplished anything, after the accomplishment is over, you’re new again. There’s always a thing of as you grow older, you’re constantly being questioned about whether you are still in touch with what’s hot, and even if you are, it’s just assumed that you aren’t, so we were forced into a place where we were the only people who believed what we were saying. After “Happy” took off, he was like ‘Look man, I know you are frustrated and I need someone I trust music and tastewise here. If that’s something you’re interested in, we can just start something.’

It was kind of a no-brainer for me, because it was like what else is there for me to do but start something new? The fact that it’s called I am OTHER made it cool, because it was like it could be anything. We get to do a lot of fun stuff. It’s cool because we know each other, and understand our intent and the goal. It’s cool to work with Pharrell because he also understands why it’s important for me to be creative on this side and express that on the DJ side. For Complex Con we did an I am OTHER set with all the artists and I dj’d the set as kind of a Music Director. There’s a picture that we got that I put on my Instagram that I love because it’s the entire crew on one stage and being up there, but in the background where I enjoy being, but still being a part — it was just a really cool thing. As a crew and as a company everybody around us is really talented and it’s amazing to be in an environment where that’s cool.

What Prather is describing sounds like a dream job, and that’s exactly what it’s become for him. In his role he’s constantly working with Pharrell as well as their young artists, who include Kap G, Bia and Buddy.

“The roster — it’s shapeshifting,” KP admits when we ask him about the artists who work with the collective. ” I signed Kap G when I was at Atlantic, but when I left we were able to do a partnership with I Am Other and Atlantic so I’m still able to work with him. We have an artist named Buddy who has a song out right now called “Shine” that’s digitally blowing up. It’s one of those positive inspiring songs. We have an artist Bia, she was just on a #1 Spanish record called “Safari” that Pharrell produced, and her record is about to come it out. Watch the Duck is about to drop, we just did a partnership with Interscope for them, they have a smash record called “Where You Are” that I can’t wait to come out. We have a lot of talented people doing musically acrobatic things — they all kinda land though.

Last year KP won a Grammy as part of the songwriting team behind Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright.” We asked him about the controversy over Beyoncé losing out on Album of the Year honors to Adele.

“Ironically I’m really aware of the process,” Prather said of the Grammy’s. “It honestly has come down to — our artists and producers don’t get involved, so the votes are by people who step up, and a lot of times those are the older members, those who have moved on from the vanity of it and they’re now in it for a community. We from the hip-hop and r&b community, you know black music, we have to step up and make our voices heard — if we care. I’ve heard people say they don’t care ‘it’s just a trophy.’ It’s one of those things, if you care, which I do, because I think it’s dope that you can be voted for and by your peers, people that are in your industry so they understand the work. Once we start producing and getting money, we gotta look at how we get on as a whole. If you look at the crowd that’s the audience of the Grammy’s — that’s the voting population of the Grammy’s.

Definitely something to think about — riiight?

We couldn’t let KP go without asking him if he had any advice for Pharrell being a father of four himself.

“We just had this conversation,” KP told BOSSIP. “He hit a buzzer beater and tied the game. I don’t have any advice for triplets. His four is different from me having four. Honestly, Pharrell is a good dude and that usually translates into being a good dad. How he’s been with Rocket and his family in general, he’s one of those people who is so aware that he just handles those things really well. I think his wife Helen is a superhero for being able to pull that off.”

Congratulations are in order for the coupled up Carters, who are said to be experiencing the happiest time in their marriage EVER right now as she carries their unborn twins. Apparently it’s not just the baby news that has them over the moon, but also the way they’ve carved out time and space for each other over the last year.

“Jay and Beyoncé are in the best place in their marriage,” an insider told E!News “They have allotted more time for themselves as a couple over this past year, and that has helped them build together.”

The source continued, “Jay and B have always wanted a big family. So when they got that huge news and surprise that they were having twins, they were both so happy. They have been trying for a while now so these babies are a true gift from God to them.”

This pregnancy is definitely a blessing. You can tell that things seem to be much better. Bey is smiling and glowing and Jay also seems to be more relaxed than in the past. Not to mention how Blue Ivy has matured! We’re glad to see the Carters finally bringing her to more events — like All Star game on Sunday. According to reports, Blue is really excited for her new role in the family too.

“After Beyoncé has her babies, she is going to take some time off for herself and her family,” our source revealed. “She needs a break, but her breaks are always productive and creative. Beyoncé is always thinking so I wouldn’t be surprised if some amazing ideas came up while she is taking time off.”

Migos And Sean Kingston Get Into Blowout Brawl Inside Vegas Convention Center

What happens in Vegas, stays on the internet.

When word got around that Migos and washed up patois pop star Sean Kingston had gotten into a rumble, the jokes were on and poppin’, but according to TMZ, sh!t got real.

It all went down at the Sands Expo and Convention Center where Quavo, Takeoff and Offset came were confronted by Sean Kingston over some foolishness involving Soulja Boy (why is he even relevant in 2017???). When it was all said and done, reports are that Migos gave Sean the BUSINESS, beating him badly and stomping on his head.

One of Sean’s homie pulled a pistol and put one in the air. No one was hit, but the shooter was detained and arrest by local authorities.

Both Sean and the Migos fled the scene, but Sean was pulled over shortly after the incident and was said to have been “semi-cooperative”.

Cops want to speak to Migos, but they aren’t currently wanted by the man.

Jamie Foxx Posts Then Deletes Racist Experience In Dubrovnik Croatia

Jamie Foxx had an unpleasant experience in Croatia earlier this week while in Dubrovnik filming ‘Robin Hood: Origins’. Foxx plays Little John in the film, but it was during a break at an upscale restaurant that the actor was on the receiving end of a verbal assault by two men.

Foxx posted a video to his Instagram after the incident saying, “They drunk up in here… They was banging on us. They came to the table banging on us.” In the comments Foxx posted that the men had called him “crncuga,” which is the Croatian equivalent of the n-word.

Police have since filed disorderly conduct charges against two men aged 44 and 50 in connection with the incident, according to the UK Sun.

The police statement said they made the arrests after receiving reports Sunday of “particularly arrogan and rude” insults made against guests including “one of the guests on racial grounds.”

Welp… Racism is everywhere folks. Fortunately Foxx isn’t letting it ruin his stay. He deleted his Instagram video about the incident and the following day posted about the beauty of Croatia.

Grandmother Dies As A Result Of Being Knocked Unconscious By Thug

A 69-year-old grandmother Eve Gentillon has died after being viciously knocked unconscious by a thug outside a NYC bodega according to NYPost.

The incident took place back in October of last year after the man fought with the cashier inside the store, then walked outside and attacked Gentillon.

At that time Richard “Kwasi” Springer was charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree assault, but his charges now include homicide due to Gentillon’s death.

Springer, who tried to pay $1 for a $3.50 can of Bud Light Lime Straw-Ber-Rita, then fled with a stolen can of beer, officials said. He has 10 prior arrests dating back to 2003, police said.

The grandmother of two was on her way to meet up with other church congregants when she was assaulted.

On the next episode of RHOA, fans will see Porsha finally come clean about the night she drunkenly kissed Kandi.

As previously reported Twitter was in a frenzy as fans watched the former friends face off over “closet lesbian”, sex dungeon and side chick rumors.

Magic Johnson Is Running The Lake Show

Congratulations are in order for Magic Johnson, who was named president of basketball operations for the Los Angeles Lakers Tuesday.

“Today I took a series of actions I believe will return the Lakers to the heights Dr. Jerry Buss demanded and our fans rightly expect,” Jeanie Buss said in a statement Tuesday. “Effective immediately, Earvin Johnson will be in charge of all basketball operations and will report directly to me. Our search for a new general manager to work with Earvin and coach Luke Walton is well underway and we hope to announce a new general manager in short order. Together, Earvin, Luke and our new general manager will establish the foundation for the next generation of Los Angeles Lakers greatness.”

In addition to Johnson’s new role — he’ll also be acting as General Manager until the trade deadline passes Friday, as longtime general manager Mitch Kupchak was let go. Jeanie’s brother Jim has also been removed from his role as executive vice president of basketball operations. Magic was brought in to work as an ownership adviser to assist Jeanie Buss just three weeks ago. It’s clear he’s made quite an impression.

“It’s a dream come true to return to the Lakers as president of basketball operations working closely with Jeanie Buss and the Buss family,” said Johnson. “Since 1979, I’ve been a part of the Laker Nation and I’m passionate about this organization. I will do everything I can to build a winning culture on and off the court. We have a great coach in Luke Walton and good young players. Rihanna Marks Milestone Record For Billboard Hot 100 Charts

That Rihanna reign just won’t let up.

Billboard has announced that Robyn Rihanna Fenty has officially broken a tie she had with Michael Jackson (29) for #3 on list of most Top 10 Hot 100 singles of all time.

Her Anti ballad “Love on the Brain” is currently sitting at #8 on the list and puts her in some very, very, very elite company…

With “Love on the Brain,” Rihanna joins Madonna (38) and The Beatles (34) as the only acts with at least 30 Hot 100 top 10s all time.

To add a lil’ more context:

Notably, Rihanna sports the second-fastest accumulation of 30 Hot 100 top 10s (from an act’s first-ever week in the region to the first week in the tier with its 30th). Having first hit the top 10 with “Pon De Replay” on the July 16, 2005-dated chart, she needed 10 years, seven months and two weeks to tally 30 top 10s. Only The Beatles hit the landmark more quickly, from “I Want to Hold Your Hand” to “Something,” over a span of just five years, nine months and two weeks (Jan. 25, 1964-Nov. 8, 1969).

While she’s the leader for the most Hot 100 top 10s, Madonna took 12 years, eight months and two weeks from her first top 10, “Borderline,” to her 30th, “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina” (June 16, 1984-March 1, 1997; thus, with the latest Hot 100 dated March 4, 2017, we last celebrated an act reaching 30 top 10 hits 20 years ago to the week).
