Derek Fisher Has Five NBA Championship Rings Stolen In Home Burglary
The plot thickens… Just as Derek Fisher managed to reignite the beef with Matt Barnes by telling Bleacher Report that he’s fine not coaching in the NBA while flaunting his relationship with Gloria Govan, new reports have emerged that Fish was robbed of his NBA rings Monday morning.
Derek Fisher told police someone broke into his L.A. home and stole more than $300,000 worth of valuable jewelry including his 5 NBA Championship rings, TMZ Sports has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell us the former NBA player reported a burglary at his home Monday morning — telling police he left the home at 7:30 AM and when he returned 3 hours later, it was clear someone had been inside.
We’re told officials believe the perp got into the house through a side door — and went for his jewelry. Among the stolen goods was Fisher’s 5 NBA rings he won during his run with the Lakers. They’re each worth a ton of cash.
Our sources say other jewelry was taken as well.
The LAPD is currently investigating. So far, no arrests have been made.
Multiple attempts to reach Fisher for comment were unsuccessful.
YIKES… Of course the first thought is that Matt Barnes had goons gaffle Fish BUT yesterday was Barnes’ late mom’s birthday — would he really stoop so low?

My friend Jordan Ladd had come back from auditioning for it, and she was like, “Rachel, you’ve got to read for it. You’re perfect for it.” I went to my agents at the time and said, “Hey, I’d really like to get in on this film.” They were like, “No, you’re too old.” I had this other manager who was interested in representing me, so I called her up and said, “Listen, if you can get me in on this film, I’ll work with you.” She picked up the phone, made one phone call, and got me in on the project. When I saw the sides for the script, they said, “She’s bulimic and anorexic,” and I thought Yeah, that’s so not me. So I just went in and did the best that I could with the material. The audition went well, and I got a few more callbacks. As I worked more with the script, I literally said, “If anyone is going to be a little black witch in this town, it’s me.”
OWN Cancels “For Better Or Worse,” “Love Thy Neighbor” To Make Room For “House Of Payne” Spinoff
According to Deadline, the network announced a 38-episode order of a new comedy series called The Paynes, a spinoff of Perry’s TBS comedy House of Payne, which ended in 2012. The series, which as always is directed, written and produced by Perry, will reunite us with Curtis (LaVan Davis) and Ella Payne (Cassi Davis). The pair are trying to enjoy retirement in Florida, but find themselves caught up in a bad real estate deal. Production for the comedy has already begun and it will premiere in 2018 on OWN.
As for the network’s other hits, 44 additional episodes of the hit drama series The Haves and the Have Nots were ordered as well as 18 new episodes of If Loving You Is Wrong.
However, to make room for The Paynes and the added episodes of the aforementioned dramas, OWN also announced that they are ending both Love Thy Neighbor and For Better or Worse. The two comedies will be moved to Saturday nights and will go into their final seasons. It will be the fourth season for Love Thy Neighbor, which will premiere on March 4 with back-to-back episodes at 9 p.m. The final season will have 22 episodes. For Better or Worse will premiere with its sixth season this summer on June 10 at 9 p.m. The final season will have 20 episodes.
Kanye West and Drake Are Skipping The “Irrelevant” Grammys
Phife Dawg famously (if you’re part of the culture for real) rapped, “I’ll never let a statue tell me how nice I am.” Nevertheless, many Hip-Hop heads consider a Grammy Award to be peak acknowledgment of their talents, but Kanye West and Drake are skipping this year’s ceremony.
According to TMZ, Yeezy and the 6 God, as well as Justin Bieber, aren’t going to be there despite dozens of nominations between them.
Drake has 8 nominations but we’re told he also doesn’t plan to be there … we’re told he’ll be on tour in Europe.
As for Kanye, who’s got 8 noms, he received 21 Grammys in the past, but he always lost when he went head-to-head against a white singer.
Our sources say it’s not like the Oscars … there’s no real anger, it’s just that a lot of younger singers think the Grammys are out of touch and arguably irrelevant.
On the one hand, plenty of artists gets sales boosts after hitting the Grammy stage. On the other, the Grammys have long been considered tone deaf as far as the music fans actually like.
But, it’s not like Drake or Kanye West have refused accepting their Grammy trophies, though.

Hide Ya Kids: NYPD Sergeant Found Guilty Of Raping 13-Year-Old Girl
NYPD Veteran Found Guilty Of Second-Degree Rape And Sex Abuse
This is just disgusting… A 39-year-old NYPD sergeant has been terminated — and put in handcuffs after a Bronx jury found him guilty of second-degree rape, second-degree criminal sexual act, sexual abuse and child endangerment Monday at 1pm.
According to NY Daily News reports:
Vladimir Krull, a 12-year NYPD veteran assigned to the Midtown North precinct, started his abuse of the teen in September 2013, when he kissed her on the mouth, prosecutors said.
The jury found him guilty of having sex with her twice — in her home and in his car — and of making her perform a sex act on him in his car after a June 2014.
He faces up to seven years behind bars for each incident, and regardless of his sentence, the felony conviction means he’ll be booted from the police force.
Krull was ordered held without bail until he’s sentenced on March 6.
The New York Police Department said Mr. Krull had been suspended pending termination since then. He was fired on Monday, according to a spokeswoman for the Bronx district attorney.
Crazy story right? Crazier still when you consider details from the Wall Street Journal that Krull dated the girl’s mother for two years!

It’s A Wrap!!! Two Of Tyler Perry’s OWN Series Get Canceled
Tyler Perry’s “For Better Or For Worse” And “Love Thy Neighbor” Canceled
Two of Tyler Perry’s OWN TV series are getting canceled.
Fans of “Love Thy Neighbor” and “For Better Or For Worse” will be disheartened to know that both of those shows will be moved to Saturday nights before fading out completely.
Tyler still has much to celebrate however, OWN has ordered a whopping 44 new episodes of “The Haves and the Have Nots” and 18 of “If Loving You Is Wrong.”
His show “House of Paynes” will have a spinoff titled “The Paynes” on OWN.
The Hollywood Reporter reports:
The Oprah Winfrey Network is adding one new Tyler Perry series, ordering many more episodes from two current dramas and canceling two other shows.
The cable network, which saw ratings climb once it started airing the prolific producer’s scripted series, adds comedy The Paynes to its lineup.
The half-hour effort, which sees LaVan Davis and Cassi Davis reprising their roles as the titular Paynes, has already begun production at Perry’s new Atlanta studio and will air on OWN in 2018.
But the best news might be fore drama The Haves and the Have Nots. OWN has added 44 episodes to the series — already in its fifth season. Additionally, If Loving You Is Wrong will get another 18 episodes.
It isn’t all good news for the Perry suite. OWN also announced that upcoming seasons of comedies Love Thy Neighbor and For Better or Worse will also be their last. Both will move to Saturday nights, where OWN has had success plugging in unscripted fare but not any scripted, for their last episodes. (Both series will air through 2017 with 22 and 20 episodes respectively, premiering on March 4 (Love Thy Neighbor) and June 10 (For Better or Worse).

Russell Simmons is making it rain on you hoes!
We previously reported that hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons was in a lot of hot water after his shady Rushcard company was busted allegedly stealing money from poor cardholders. Simmons later agreed to pay at least $19 million to compensate users and fix his brand.
Now according to Billboard reports, Uncle Russ will be selling his RushCard company to competitor Green Dot for $147 million:
Green Dot said Monday it will buy UniRush, the parent company of RushCard as well as the Rapid! payroll debit card. Simmons started RushCard in 2003 as one of the first prepaid cards to focus on minority customers and charge lower-than-average fees.
Prepaid debit cards are largely used by the “unbanked,” or those who do not have a checking or savings account and largely rely on cash to pay their bills month to month.
